Making friends Page 2574Lethrossen Oblivion was sitting on the steps, licking at a paw as she watched the night sky. Her green gaze flickered from star to star, and finally went back to the moon. It lingered there for a long time before she let her eyes sweep the area. Her tails curled about her as she sighed softly, ears perking. Wasn't anyone around? Lethrossen Obliv looked a little surprised as another came bounding toward her and her fur seemed to fluff up, almsot in a defensive manner. Her eyes narrowed a little and her tail flicked away from her body. "Why, hello." She said slowly. "And I do not often appear to the eyes of others." She said, almost in a teasing manner. "My name is Oblivion, Chroma."

A kiran kitsu? Mountain Page 3052Trelweny ((Oh! She's beaut-tiful! *tosses Chroma out to make new friend* Chroma: *blinks, then smiles seeing another Kitsu* hi! hi! I'm Chroma!)) Getsurei Ming Yue: *sudden attention feels really weird* Erm, hi. My name is Ming Yue. Swampieestar Turnip: *Bounces on his tail over to Ming* Trelweny "Nice to meet you Ming Yue!" She smiles flopping her tails about and bouncing a little on her front paws in excitement. "Do you like to play? I think I saw a ball around here somewhere...." Shoves nose in an old log. "Aha! There it is!" Getsurei Ming Yue just sat looking at the kitsu. Chroma was obviously quite energetic. "I've never played before. In fact, I don't even know what that word means." Trelweny "No problem!" Little was seen as a problem to Chroma. Except perhaps missing India, but as long as she kept herself occupied that did not worry her as much. Well, at least not too much. "Play is easy!"
Reaching in with her paw she pulled out the red ball, rolling it in the grass of the mountain a few times to get rid of the dirt that had collected on it. "See I push it to you...." The adult kitsu with childlike simplicity explained as she nudged the ball to roll at Ming Yue. "Then you roll it back!" She smiled, waiting for the ball to come back her way. Getsurei Ming Yue bent down her headto nudge the ball back, but this action was in vain. The ball popped on her horn. She lifted her head with a look of annoyance spread across her face. "I'm not sure if i like this 'playing' thing." Trelweny Chroma looked at the popped ball with an odd expression on her face. Then she dissolved into giggles. "Use your nose next time!"
Bright blue eyes crinkled merrily. "We don't need a ball for play! There's Tag! It's an I run, you catch me, then you run, I catch you game! Or hide 'n' seek! That's where one of us hides, & the other has to find the hider! Or we can chase butterflies! anything that is fun can be called play!"

Meeting Soubi Mountain Page 3057Trelweny The wizard apparated onto the mountain. He had not been able to find his sister anywhere at home or at the HQ. Neither had Ember been at the HQ, though a quick peek inside had shown his soul brother's kin, Yrre. The scholar had not felt like either interrupting his converstaion nor deciphering his pattern of speach to ask about Ember.
Nari, he knew was spending time at home. The gentle one blushed, remembering. Then her set about searching for his errant sibling. .Sephiros Immortal.
Soubi was on the porch of the Mountain HQ, purple-blue eyes following a stray butterfly as it flitted innocently past. Today, well...today seemed horribly dull...Resting head on his forepaws, he let his tails flick lazily to and fro, an absent-minded smile on his face. He didn't miss normal society much, and here there was usually an odd character or three to converse with...or just pester, if he felt so inclined. But often he kept to himself, not quite a social butterfly, despite the imagery associated with him.Trelweny As he padded his way up the mountain finding no sign of Chroma the wizard became worried. He neared the Mountain HeadQuarters & spotted another kitsu. His guardian moved beneath his robes as Remus hurried his pace. "Good day." He greated the other as he approached, inclining his head almost as if bowing. "I hope I am not interrupting, but by chance have you seen an incredibly hyper female recently? She is red & yellow with light blue eyes & markings." Autumn_Fury Ember padded toward the Mountain HQ, lost completely in his own thoughts. So much, in fact, that he didn't even register the presence of the unfamiliar kitsu until he was directly in front of him. And when he did notice him, he jumped about a foot in the air in alarm, and stumbled backwards, stammering an apology and ducking his head, either in terror or sheepishness. Or perhaps both. .Sephiros Immortal. Soubi blinked at first one kitsu, then the other, deciding to notice the skittish one first, simply because he was so very jumpy. "Well hello there...a little on the shy side, aren't you?" He sounded bored, though at the moment he was anything but.
That steady gaze then turned to Remus. "And as to your question, no, not really, I tend to avoid females of that nature. They and I do not usually get along. But aside from that, good day indeed." Trelweny Remus nodded his thanks. "I think if she was not my sister I would avoid her too."
He was about to laugh at that when he noticed something awfully familiar about the kitsu on the other side of the stranger. "Ember!" His usually mild voice rang out happily & his tails flicked softly. "It has been far too long, Soul Brother."
Then -as if sensing his social faux-paus- Remus returned his gaze sheepishly to the helpful stranger. "My apologies. Thank you. I am Remus J. Lupin. Ember & I are dear friends." Autumn_Fury Ember cringed even further at this new kitsu's observation, and nodded apologetically. "I...uhm....s-sorry..." he mumbled, before perking his ears as they caught Remus's familiar voice. A goofy grin broke across his face, anxiety forgotten, and he bounded over to his friend, nodding in greeting. "Remus! It's been forever! I missed you!" .Sephiros Immortal.
"Soubi Agatsuma." He replied by way of greeting...this one would talk to him anyway. Friends, eh? Interesting...they both seemed rather...attractive creatures, even if strange. "And I can see that you are acquainted with the shy one...Ember, is it?"Trelweny "A pleasure to meet you, Soubi Agatsuma." He smiled in a friendly way. "Yes, Ember is quite shy." But then so would I be, if not for being polite I suppose.
Remus nuzzled his friend happily, headless of how it might look. He was a lot more affectionate than he had been before; less afraid to show it somehow. "Nearly a month feels like forever, does it not my soul's brother?" Autumn_Fury Ember winced, realizing that he was being rude. What this Soubi must think of him. "I..y-yes, I'm Ember. P-pleasure to meet you, S-Soubi." he half-bowed politely, then turned back to Remus, nodding. "Nearly a month...yes. It..it feels like it's been longer. How have you been, Remus?" .Sephiros Immortal. He smirked faintly, how interesting, the pretty little kitsu had a stammer when he spoke to strangers. How oddly adorable. "Pleasure to meet you as well." Finally standing, without any real hurry, he made himself an observer. "And I see he's shy, but better that than brash and annoying, eh?" He was fairly shameless, was Soubi. Trelweny "I must agree, Shoubi. Shy is preferable to brash & annoying." He smiled at the thought, deciding he could like this Shoubi fellow.
"I have been well, Ember." He blushed slightly, thinking of how well. He would not hurt Ember with talk of Nari however.
"How have you been?" Autumn_Fury "I have been...well, also." he told Remus, blushing slightly. In the short time (funny, how context could change time) since he'd last seen his friend, he'd discovered many things, one of which being his feeling for Rhian...who had also become his mate, in that time period. He did not elaborate, though...he wasn't sure if he liked this Soubi fellow, and wouldn't trust him just yet with any personal details. "I..uhm, I'm s-sorry if I offend..." he murmured, frowning a bit at Soubi. .Sephiros Immortal.
Soubi shook his head, "Ne, don't be so unsure, a little assertiveness won't kill you...you're far too meek to offend..." At least, not yet...he wasn't annoyed, which was a miracle in and of itself. Trelweny Remus nuzzled his friend again, reasuringly & smiled his apretiation of Shoubi's words at the other male. "How is your friend, Rhian, Ember? I never found out if she liked the dinner we all shared." Autumn_Fury Ember shrugged, glaring a bit. "Don't act like you know how I am, please." he knew that no matter what, he'd end up offending or annoying this kitsu, but it kind of ruffled his feathers (not, of course, that he actually had feathers) that Soubi was acting like he knew everything about Ember."I..uhm, Rhi...Rhi is...f-fine." Ember replied to Remus's question, wincing at the stutter. "She...I..." he paused, glancing at Soubi, and then shook his head. Maybe he could tell Remus some other time, or write him a letter, or something. Trelweny Remus tilted his head at his friend. Now this was new. Ember usually only stammered round him when his emotions were in the way. A hopeful light lit the wizard's eyes, but then quickly faded. No... Ember seemed to be otherwise predispositioned. But perhaps... sighing, Remus knew it was only a hope. "I'm glad to hear that she is well. Chroma & I still worry about her & her sister."
He nodded politely as Soubi moved to leave them. Part of him worried that he was being rude after the other's kindness, but what Ember had not said made him curious.
"But what is it about her & you?" Autumn_Fury "Rhian..sh-she is much better..." he replied, a soft smile creeping gently across his face. "I don't think her sister likes me very much..." he added, glad to get onto another topic, although Soubi had gone. Such was not to be , though, for Remus's last question made Ember freeze. How could he answer this? He'd told Remus that he loved him- and he did, though not in the way he'd originally thought- and now he had a mate to explain? And a female, none the less! "What...wh-what do you m-mean, Remus?" he asked avoidantly, eyes darting to the floor. Trelweny Remus chuckled. "I do not know, Ember. You are the one who said "she... I..." before Soubi wandered off. I was under the impression that you'd rather not speak of it in front of a stranger."
Again he nuzzled his soul brother gently. "I had hoped you could tell me, but do not feel you must, Soul Brother." (continued Mountain Page 3083) Autumn_Fury "No, I...R-Remus, that is..." Ember replied, inwardly bracing himself for Remus's displeasure, or maybe even anger, at Ember's news. "I..I'd hoped that I could tell you...but n-now I am not sure. B-but..you deserve to know. I only...only hope, my f-friend, that you will think no less of me...I..." he paused, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath before continuing. "Once I...I told you that I loved you, Remus. And I do yet...but I've found that it's a different sort of love entirely...you named it better than I ever could when you called me your Soul's Brother." his voice grew stronger as he went on, more sure of what he was saying. "But...I was not in love with you, as I made the mistake of thinking, and of saying. I no doubt cause you grief, for I know you have...deep feelings, for Nari." That would be enough in Ember's mind, surely Remus could find something to respond to in that, but he hadn't answered his friend's question. "I have found, however..." he paused, his eyes flicking up to watch Remus's face for his reaction, "I've found that I...I've found the sort of love I first thought I h-had for you...in Rhian. The love I feel for her is like nothing I've ever experianced...it can be nothing else but love. She...sh-she is my mate now." Rainberries The wizard blinked in surprise, sitting down slowly. Then a slow smile crept over his face, lighting it up. He tossed his head over Ember's neck, hugging him happily. "Ember! That is wonderful news! How could I be upset! Rhian is a wonderful female, & I knew she felt strongly for you."
He pulled back smiling. "I could not be happier, Ember. Truly. Love.. it is simply a marvelous thing, is it not?"

Joyful Reunion Page 2595Rainberries A sad looking kitsu with tails drooping shuffled slowly into the HeadQuarters. Her bright yellow & red fur seemed an odd contrast to her blue mood. Odder still, if anyone knew the usually overly energetic female. A little trickle of tears brushed down the blue markings beneath her eyes. She gazed hopefully around the room. Chroma did not see anyone she recognized... and certainly not the one she was looking for.
With a whimper she slinked to India's usual spot & curled up. Maybe she could pretend he was here... saedusk After leaving the company of the forward little kit and his strangely see-through mother (well, he assumed she was, anyway), India padded his way back down the mountain. An annoying thing, seeing as he'd just made his way up not long before. It had been a rather pointless trip, he found himself thinking. He should've merely been patient.
Padding up to the much more familiar building, he sighed, solid-colored tail swishing gently and barely disrupting the others. Upon entering the HQ, he hadn't expected to see the very femme he'd been searching for curled up in the spot he usually occupied. But even from the distance he was still at, he could feel something upsetting. "Chroma?" He called warily, taking a step. Ai No Yami Tarik yawned, laying down on the couch. He had spent more time with his rag tag group of family than with with his friends or his love... he wondered if he'd see Nixis anytime soon. Rainberries A red ear twitched hearing her name. That voice! Was she dreaming? Her head shot up hopefully. "India? India is that you?"
Spotting him a happy sound crescendo-ed from within her. Unwinding herself she sprang to her mate, lavishing him with happy, eager licks & nuzzles as she tried to express all her missing him & longing at once. saedusk Despite the fact that he'd missed her dearly, too, the rather large amount of affection flustered him. For having been without her so long, his body had once again grown accustomed to not having any sort of physical contact with another. Pawing lightly at his mate, he flashed a wry grin.
"I missed you," he got out between her affections, only to notice a familiar face not far away. Feeling suddenly more flustered than before, he pulled away slightly. He was almost expecting Keiki to jump out and poke fun at him, just because Tarik was there. "Brother..." He called out, a slight chuckle in his voice as he moved a bit closer to his mate again, regreting moving away. Rainberries Chroma barely registered that Tarik was near; her senses were completely focused on her mate. "I missed my India! So much did I miss you!"
She snuggled beside him, weaving her tails in his. "You look tired. Sleep with me now?"
Although her tone was pleading she pulled her mate along to "his spot", seeing to his comfort before curling against him. "I've missed sleeping with you..."

Telling of Love Page 2599Rainberries Remus apparated into the HQ, hoping to find Ember there. His soul brother had told him news that had made his heart glad... & yet Remus had somehow managed to neglect telling Ember his news. The full moon was quickly aproaching too. The wizard prefered to have it told before then. Autumn_Fury Ember lay on the back of the couch, halfway asleep and halfway awake. He hadn't been sleeping well lately, for fretting about his mate, and his little 'brother' with his female friend, and...well, just things. In this state of drowsiness, he was startled by the sudden appearance of Remus, and fell off of the back of the couch with a loud thump. However, he quickly got up, grumbling to himself about bruises, and hurried over to his friend, smiling brightly. "Remus! Hello!" Rainberries "Ember!" The wizard turned to his friend in gladness & concern. "Are you all right? Did I startle you? I apologize."
Moving forward he gave his friend a gentle nuzzle. "You know I would never want to hurt you." Autumn_Fury Ember grinned happily, nuzzling back at Remus. "I...well, I am easily startled, as you know. I was..on the edge of sleep, or perhaps I would not have been quite so much. I do know that you would never intentionally...hurt me..." he paused, remembering a time when all he could seem to think about was Remus and hurting and such matters.. it had not been such a terribly long time, but it seemed longer. "How have you been, Remus?" Rainberries "I have been good. Quite... busy. I suppose." He blushed a little. "I was looking for you actually. Hoping to run into you at any rate."
How to say it? "And how have you been? How is Rhian?" Autumn_Fury "Busy?" he asked, gently head-butting Remus's shoulder. "What have you been busy with, Rem?" He wondered at why Remus sounded embaressed...but could think of nothing. He hoped he hadn't offended him..."Rhi and I are well..." he replied, a soft smile creeping onto his face as he spoke of his mate. "And you, Soul's Brother? How are you and Nari?" Rainberries "Ah... you have hit the matter on the nose, Ember." Again Remus felt himself blush, remembering ... well... lots of things. "Nari invited me to visit her family's home... & I've been spending much of my time there, to tell the truth." He loved seeing the soft smile on Ember's face. Would he be that easy hearing Nari's name spoken in time as well? he still felt like a giddy schoolboy... perhaps because he had never had the chance to be one before.
"Soul's Brother... I have come to realize that I love her. I... I think it is the same way she loves me. I only hope... that mine is worthy of hers."
There. It was out. & so was what had been bothering him of it. Nari had said as much that it was not a problem, but he knew she was looking through eyes of love. Perhaps Ember, his soul brother with a mate of his own could see more clearly. Autumn_Fury "Ah, Remus!" Ember cried, grinning and gently pouncing his friend with a laugh. "So you finally see it for yourself. I am happy for you, my Sould's Brother! But what's this talk of you not being worthy of her?" He shook his head, laughing. "You are worthy of anybody who you could look at Rem. They should worry about being worthy of you." Rainberries The pounce took him off guard & he blinked for a moment. Then he smiled, thinking what marvels Rhian had done for his dear friend. It was good to see him happy like this.
Remus ducked his head modestly. "Thank you. It is ... hard... for me to think of myself as worthy of anyone." He sighed softly, thinking that certainly one of these days he would believe his friends & family & -dare he call Nari such now?- mate. "My head tells me I should think better of myself... but I've had a whole lifetime before that feels it must be unmuddled. It makes it hard... but I will do my best to accept your opinions of me." He gave a slow smile. "With you & Nari both shoving it down my throat, what else can I do but accept?" Autumn_Fury "I don't mean to impose..." Ember replied, abashed, "But you are more than a friend to me, Rem, and I adore you. I can't just say nothing, when you put yourself down so."
Of course, this was entirely hypocritical, as Ember too felt the way Remus did...muddled by a past life he could barely remember...insignificant, inferior...only since he'd met Rhi had he begun to think any differently, and even now.. it wasn't much. Too much wanting to think the worst of ourselves. I will trust your opinion of me... if you will trust my opinion of you."
He bopped his friend lightly under the chin. "nd you should know... you never impose, Ember. Not with me. You are always welcome & wanted." Autumn_Fury Ember laughed sheepishly, batting lightly at one of Remus's ears in return for the bop under the chin. "I will trust you the best I can, Rem. I think that with both you and Rhi to keep me up, I shall be fine...I only hope I can do the same for you, Brother of my Soul." He then grinned, eyes gleaming wickedly. "Always welcome? Always wanted? Even with you and your lovely Nari?" Rainberries Remus turned a brilliant shade of red at the jibe. "ah... I would think at those times you might not want to be around yourself." Not that they had ... well... but there was certainly promises of things to come. "But there was always room for you before & there will always be room for you now. Nari knows how I feel about you." Autumn_Fury Ember laughed as his friend blushed, a further moment of teasing coming to mind...but he decided not to embaress Remus any further. As Remus mentioned that Nari knew how Remus felt about him, he smiled, a bit sadly. "Nari knows a lot, Remus. She...well, back when I thought myself...in l-love with you...she knew, even before I did. You two are..w-well matched." Rainberries The wizard could only nod. He was a bit biased about his love after all. He nuzzled his friend to remove the sadness from his smile. "Ours is a different kind of love, Ember. There's nothing wrong in that." Autumn_Fury Ember nuzzled Remus back, briefly wondering if they ever could have had a different kind of love...but then he shook his head, thinking of the way Remus acted around Nari, and of his own love...the lovely Rhian. He wondered where she was now, sighing wistfully before returning to focus on what Remus had said. "Of course, Rem. Nothing wrong in that. I just miss seeing you....you and Nari both." Rainberries "I miss seeing you too. I... I guess we've just been .... caught up." He chuckled lightly, as if finding something amuzing. Which he did. Remus never believed he would be one to be caught up in something as completely normal as infatuation, much less being in love. It was still quite surreal. "It would be nice... to gather together again. Just to sleep as we once did."
"Rhian would be welcome too, you know." He gave an attempted wink -obviously unaccustomed to the action.

The Gift of Sanity Page 2604Mau  With her head held high and a grin on her face, Nari trotted into the HQ. It had been ages since she'd been here - and she paused in the entryway to stretch and tilt her head about. In her mouth, a small pouch dangled on a cord. She was so proud of herself. It had taken a month of whining, wheedling, and not-so-gentle persuasion before Tsu had relented, and, with a little bit of help from her father Severus, had brewed a potion for Remus. Tsu, for all her outward sourness, had, it seemed, quite the sweet tooth - and Nari had spent the better part of that month plying her with all varieties of sweet things. That.. and a promise to leave Tsu's pile of pillows untouched forevermore.
Stepping forward once again, she scanned the room - looking for that particular set of old wizard robes. Not spying him, she sighed and curled up on the couch to wait. Hopefully, it wasn't too late. She had spotted the moon on the way in, and it was almost full.. he might not even be in tonight... Rainberries Deciding to apparate outside tonight, Remus shivered feeling the brightness of the moon overhead. Tomorrow night already. He dreaded what that would bring... the loneliness, the mindlessness... the resulting pain as he attacked himself in his altered form. He shrugged it off as best he could. Tonight he wanted to have a last look around in freedom. Something to hold on to during the next three days.
And Maybe if he was lucky he would see Nari. Or Ember. Or one of the others he was honored enough to be able to call his friends.
Opening the door he made his way inside, tired yet hopeful eyes scanning. The tiredness fled seeing familiar auburn hair & ears, the tell-tale golden kimono.
"Nari!" He proclaimed happily, trotting over. "I am glad you are here. It warms my heart." His eyes smiled gently with happiness. "I have missed you." Mau Her ears perked at the sound of that familiar voice, and she bounded off the couch to pounce him. "Rem-chan!" Realizing she had forgotten the pouch behind, she darted back to the couch and grabbed it before trotting back to him. Giving him a brief nuzzle, she held out the pouch to him. "I was worried I'd missed you, the moon is so full. I have a present for you.. to make your time more bearable." Rainberries "You make my time more bearable, Nari." He said almost automatically as he nuzzled her fondly in return. Only then did he step back to tilt his head questioningly at her as he accepted the proffered gift. "A present? For me? Thank you, Nari. You really should not have. Your company is more than enough a gift to me."
Still, he was curious. Remus loosened the drawstrings of the pouch & peered inside. A stoppered vial. "Nari...?" He asked softly, afraid to come to conclusions himself & not trusting that the right words would be found anyway. Mau "As I said.. to make your time more bearable ^_^" Reaching into the bag, she gently drew out the vial and set it on the ground. "Wolfsbane potion.." Glancing up at him, she shifted her paws. "Tsu made it for you.. with a little help from her father." Rainberries Remus looked into her blue eyes with everything he was feeling right out in the open in his own. "You got Tsu to do this... & Severus helped too." Moisture pooled in the lower curves of his eyes but the wizard did not notice. "I owe you all so much..."
Draping his head over hers Remus sidled up beside her & wound his tails with hers. "Nari. Love. Thank you."
A light trickle of tears fell from his overfull eyes. Mau "It's the least I can do. For you." She brushed the tears away with her nose. "Now you will not change, right? You will not have to worry about harming others." Rainberries He licked her cheek gently. "I will not harm others. Nor worry about it." Remus snuggled closer with a dreamy sigh. "Nari, you gift me with things I can never hope to match. I have only myself... and my love for you." He whispered lightly in her ear. "I only hope that's enough..." Mau "That's more than enough, Remus. And now you don't have to hide yourself every month." He could see Ember.. and her. (yes, I think he does change - but his mind stays.. sane). And hopefully spend a lot more time with her in the gardens. She grinned at those memories, grateful that Nokomis or Nicodemus hadn't stumbled across them. Rainberries "If you say so." He was so happy he could not even think that low of himself to debate her. "I still will not be able to do much... if it works as my memories indicate, I will be sane but drained. I will still change... but I will be me -not some mindless beast bent on destruction."
He hugged her kitsu style again. "Will you... Nari will you be with me when I take it?" He sucked in his breath, tersely waiting for her reply. Mau She blinked. "You want me to be there? Really?" For some reason, she hadn't thought he would want her around.. "If you want me to, of course." Rainberries He smiled softly. "If you will not mind seeing me so weak of course. I doubt it makes me look very well. And I would not ask you to stay... I cannot see how I could be much company. But I will be sane!" He licked the rim of her ear tenderly. "Thank you so much, Nari. For everything." Mau She shivered lightly, then ducked her head under his chin. "You're lucky no one is here. When will you have to take it?" Rainberries "Best I take it late afternoon I suppose. Long before the sun sets..." He paused, his memory on that unclear. "Although I really do not remember. I know I must take it that day. Perhaps I should take it earlier to be certain? I can tolerate the dehibilitation it will render me, to know I will be safe & sane." Mau "I don't know..." She paused, looking thoughtful. "Tsu didn't give any special instructions, only that it's to be taken the day of the full moon." Rainberries "Then I will take it no later than sunset, though preferably before." Remus buried his nose into her curls, sniffing softly their scent. "What did you mean before: lucky no one is here?" He touched his nose to the base of her ear & huffed ever so lightly. "I know this is not your garden." Mau With a startled squeak, Nari ducked her head away. "It is most unfortunate that it isn't." Tilting her head back towards him, she flashed a grin. "There is far less chance of others wandering in there." Rainberries "We could go there... if you like." Remus whispered daringly. Knowing he would stay himself the next three nights added to Nari just being Nari seemed to bolster him somehow. Lifting the vial he put it back in its pouch before tucking it safely into a pocket of his robes. "I can apparate us to your bench. I can make a map for you to find my house while I'm there. Though I dare say your guardian already knows the way." He smiled gently, not wanting to say the thought he had that he could walk with her to the cabin in Bass'ken Woods in the morning. That implied more than he was willing to.
"Unless you have a better idea?" Mau "No better ideas at all." Grinning more, she nipped the edge of one of his ears. "A map to your house? I'd love to see it.. but later." [hehe not noooow.. x3] Rainberries Remus shivered as she nipped his ear & drew closer beside her. "Then hang on & we'll be there. And before I leave, you will have your map." Nothing as fancy as the Maurauders' Map, to be sure.., he could not do that alone. But perhaps something with a little magic in it. Making certain they were close enough he drew his wand & apparated the both of them away.

Meeting a mother & her kit Page 2630Rainberries ((Male. *snickers* You could say very much so. *tosses image out* RP Button links to cert))  The blue & white angelic winged lazily into the HQ. His ship needed some work done before he could sail her again & truth be, he was rather eager for some kitsu company that was not family. Preferably female, but at this rate anyone to have a conversation with would do. A rugged sea shanty hummed in his throat baudily. Now to see if anyone was around.Ai No Yami Moonsprite fluttered in with her own young, his wings still not working completely right as he was just a smidge too big for them. "you'll get it eventually..." she said, patient with her young babe. Rainberries The male's ears perked at the sound. His female oriented eyes caught sight of the female first of course, but he quickly noticed the young one with her as well. He could not hide the brief flash of disipointment as he noted that the pair was rather like Trelweny with her son. A mother... figures. Despite the ladies' mans' passion for the ladies he did have an odd gentleman's code at times. And one of those was never to hit on a lady -excessively at any rate- in front of her young.
Still, company was company... and their was nothing saying he could not enjoy the femme's beauty. He flicked his wings lightly & turned to greet them. "Good day beautiful lady, young lad! How goes the day for ye?" Ai No Yami Moonsprite blinked at the courtesy she heard from the other angelic. His light blue was a striking contrast to her dark purple and her son's black and red. And his disposition was a complete change from her own mate.... "I'm trying to fly!!" Amun cried out, flapping his wings with annoyance. Rainberries The sailor chuckled. "HaHa! That ye are, lad! That ye are! Don't dismay at not getting it right away. Like anything worth doing, it takes time to learn it right." He winked merrily at the young kit.
"Ah! But where are my manners? The name is AearHwesta, Lady. Lad." The angelic bowed flamboyantly, fluffing his wings back as one might a cape. Ai No Yami Moonsprite was amused by his speach as well as his flamboyance. "You are an interesting one... My name is Moonsprite, this is Amun." "But I want to fly now! Like momma does. And daddy, when he's not busy with my sister." Amun sulked. Rainberries "A pleasure to meet the both of you." Aear flashed a debonair smile at them. Though t'would be more of a pleasure... ah! Drop it, Lad!
"There now, Lad. Ye've yet to have yer wings grow into ye." For some reason, his sea-talk always heightened around young boys... not that the male ever noticed. "Even my human's little son had to learn to walk before he could run. It's the same with ye learning to fly." He smiled with mirth at the youth. "Now I'd bet yer better at flying today than ye were last week." Ai No Yami "I couldn't fly at all last week. I was just a hatchling. Momma let me ride on her back." Amun replied, settling his wings on his back. This was an intersting figure... Moonsprite smiled. "You have a way with young ones..." Rainberries "See there, Lad! And now yer getting off the ground! That's great progress!" He clapped Amun soundly on the back, mindful that he was still just a kit.
He cocked his head almost flirtingly at the pretty mother. He simply could not help himself. "Oh, I don't know about that, Lovely Lady. But I thank you kindly for the sentiment." His bow lacked the flashiness of before, though a bit of a sense of debonair style still remained. "It's kind of you to think so." Ai No Yami Blinking at the way he said that, Moonsprite blushed a bit and felt incredibly guilty. She had a mate, and two kits... while the father took care of the daughter, she did have a son to think of. "momma. i sleepy..." Amun whined, yawning widely. "Oh my... I'm sorry baby." Moonsprite helped her son onto her back. "It appears it's bedtime, it was nice meeting you." With a nod and a smile she headed off with her babe. Rainberries "My pleasure." He bowed deeply as they left, faintly surprised at the truth in his sentiments. It had been a pleasure.

After the Moon Page 2636Rainberries Remus Lupin walked into the shop casually looking about. He actually had a secondary purpose, this time. He wanted a banana. The banana's at the house had gone bad again & Trelweny was making banana bread with them. He did not feel like asking Myranda to conjure one for him... and looking for one gave him a sense of purpose to be here. Remus crossed the main room & entered the kitchen, grabbing a fresh banana from the banana stand & pulling back the peel. Mau High up in the rafters, Nari heard the soft padding and the gentle swish of robes that signalled the arrival of another kitsu. Tiring of an endless staring contest with Isis - who wouldn't reply at all while in the HQ - she stretched her wings out and gently fluttered to the floor. "Hmm.. now where did he go?" The words were softly spoken has she looked about. "Ah.." Spotting the slightly-opened kitchen door she slunk over and poked her nose in and spied. Rainberries Unknown he was being watched, the wizard kitsu happily ate his banana. Unlike his sister's mate, bananas were not necessarily his favorite food. He simply felt like eating one today. An odd smile crossed his face and he closed his eyes to savor the taste. That certainly hit the spot... Mau Nari grinned at the happy image Remus presented. Pushing the door aside with her nose, she silently padded into the kitchen and nuzzled along Remus's entire side. "Hello love." Rainberries Remus quickly swallowed the last bite of banana, setting the peel aside & shivering happily at her touch. When Nari's head came within reach he nuzzled her back & lightly licked her nose.
"Hello to you too, Nari love." Feeling oddly happy -for him- Remus started to purr. Mau "You seem happy today. <3 I guess that means the potion worked, ne?" With a light purr, she leaned against him. Rainberries "Yes. Yes it did." It felt wonderful not to have new wounds in need of healing, but more wonderful to have been himself while changed. He wrapped his tails with hers as she leaned on him. "You are wonderful, you know that?" Mau She flushed. "You mean Tsu and Severus are wonderful. They made the potion, after all. Not me." Hugging him tightly, she smiled. It was wonderful to see him so happy. Rainberries "Yes. Yes they are. But you thought to ask them to brew it & you brought it to me." He nuzzled her fondly. "And you are the one here, the one I will enjoy thanking." Remus was in rare form today. In fact many in their family seemed to be recently. Perhaps one of the twins' concoctions had leaked, but Remus highly doubted it. He would not credit the Weasleys with his good feeling. No... it was simply being with Nari again & not having had to go through the terrors of the change as he usually did. "I will offer my thanks & gratitude to Tsu & Severus when I see them again. In a different fashion." He buried his nose in her hair, sniffing deeply & sighing happily into her ear.
"And have you been well, beloved?" He whispered gently. Mau "I've been well. A bit lonely... Nokomis is more often gone than at home now. And you were away.." She gave a small sigh, then nuzzled him. "But I have you now. <3 Can we go somewhere?" Rainberries "I am sorry to here that you've been lonely, Nari." He nuzzled her gently as he spoke softly in her ear. "And you will always have me, when the moon is not full." He shivered happily at the way they were speaking. "Certainly. Any where you want." He wrapped his robes around her, drawing her closer as if preparing to apparate right then. "You have but to say the word, beloved, and we will be there." Mau A small shiver went through her, and she grinned wickedly at his tone. "Judging by your mood.. I would suggest the gardens." She teased lightly, dropping small kisses on his jaw. Rainberries A happy growl ran through his body & he licked her ear ever so lightly. "And yours too, it seems." The wizard whispered, withdrawing his wand. "As my lady love wishes... to the gardens." Holding her tight Remus waved his wand & they were gone. (continued in Guild: Gardens)

Stubborn Sweetness Page 2636((Simultaneous for the most part to Remus & Nari's interactions above.)) Rainberries He was not following his brother, persay, but the angelic was certain Remus would be at the HQ. Or nearly certain. Of the places his studious sibling tended to visit, here or his lady-love's was most likely. Since AearHwesta had no clue where Nari's home was, this was his best bet to come & pick on Remus.
Except that as he flew threw the door his eyes glanced upward, catching sight of a golden-winged angelic beauty. Instantly his plans changed & he winged up to land beside her. "Why hello beautiful. Come here often?" Mau Was he.. flirting ... with her?! Isis turned one golden eye on the blue angelic before her, baring her teeth and flattening her ears back in warning. True, she would never attack another kitsu, especially not another angleic, but she could hope to scare him off.. couldn't she? Rainberries AearHwesta laughed. "Ah! Lass! Aren't you a feisty one!" Bright eyes flashed with uncontainable interest as they ran the length of her body & back. "Now will ye be telling AearHwesta a promise with those lovely teeth of yers, or is that just a bit of a tease?"
He winked baudily at her, not at all scared. Mau Isis's eyes widened for a moment before she glared at him. Surely he had to be joking. That or he was just dumb. Her ears flicked forward for a moment, and she snapped her teeth at him. It wasn't a promise - not in the way he inferred. Rainberries The blue & white angelic was intelligent enough... he simply chose to see things his way sometimes instead of how they really were. Now for example.
Eyes whirling Aear took a step forward. "Will ye bite me then, Lass? I'm not opposed to a little kinky fun." He flashed a debonair smile. Then he blinked, as if realizing only now that he had not properly introduced himself, though he had given his name.
"Ah! My forgiveness, lovely lady!" Fluttering up he gave his signature flamboyant bow then returned even closer than before. "I am AearHwesta, lover & sailor of the seas." He winked, letting her take his phrasing how she would. "And what, o' beauteous one, might yer name be?" Mau Burying her head in her paws, Isis stifled a groan. Clearly he had no common sense. "If I tell you, will you go away? >p" She glared at him. "My name is Isis." Rainberries "A lovely name for a lovely lass. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lady Isis!" He winked at her, then cocked his head. "But surely ye jest about me leaving? I have no interest to be leaving a beauty such as yerself." Mau Well.. that certainly hadn't worked. "Thank you for your compliment but I am not in the mood to entertain you." She set her teeth and turned her head away. Rainberries "Ye are very welcome." He smiled charmingly at her. "Yer beauty alone is enough to absorb my attention, but if it's yer mood that is the problem..." He fluttered around to be where she turned her head to. "Perhaps I may be of assistance in altering your mood, lovely Isis." Mau "I doubt that very much." Her ears flattened back once again and she snapped her teeth again, warning, before turning her head to the other side. If he persisted in following her... Rainberries "Aww. Come now, Lass. Give old AearHwesta a chance." He fluttered the other direction now, not caring to talk to the back of her head & looks into her eyes with entreaty. "Ye shouldn't doubt what ye know little about. But we can change that too." Mau Isis raised an eyebrow at his insolence. "I know more than I wish to of.. your kind." Her wings flared out behind her, she lunged forward with a growl, her teeth seeking that oh-so-tender spot at the base of the ears. Rainberries The male yipped in surprise, momentarily losing his altitude as he forgot to continue flying. He quickly recovered & sighed happily at the bite, closing his eyes & starting to purr. "Ah... that ye must lady Isis, to be so familiar so soon." His eyes fluttered open sparkling to catch hers. "Shall I be biting ye next? Or perhaps ye only like to bite, not be bitten?" He grinned cockily at her. Mau Eyes wide, Isis quickly backed off from the male. "You.. enjoyed that?" In her haste to back up, she overstepped the rafters, slipping and needing to use her wings to prevent herself from falling. "Stay away from me!" Rainberries Enjoyment changed to concern as he watched her slip. "Now, now lass. If ye didn't mean for me to enjoy it ye should have said so. Not my fault if a touch from one as lovely as ye brings me pleasure."
He sighed. "And this doesn't seem to be helping yer mood any. Perhaps, ye've a headache? I've a cure for that ye know." Mau "Mortals are a permanent headache. Most of them, anyways." She regained her footing on the narrow beam, and settled back down with her head on her paws. "And why should I warn you not to enjoy being hurt? Are al males like that?" She snorted. Azrael seemed to enjoy pain as well. Rainberries He guffawed lightly, winging up to join her on the beam. "Aw, heck no. Remy -he's sorta like a brother o' mine- He doesn't seem to like pain much at all." Then he chuckled. "Though I bet he'd not complain much if his Nari-lass nipped him too hard. Sometimes that's just the way between a lass & a lad." Aear arched a brow coyly at Isis. "As for yer headache... would ye care to try my special remedy?" The tone clearly implied a 'romantic' direction of sorts. Mau "I don't have a headache." Her tone was snappish, but less so than before. "And I know perfectly well what your "remedy" is." Rainberries "Now that's too bad." AearHwesta pouted slightly, making a small mew of disappointment. "Perhaps ye'd like to tell me why yer mood's out of sorts." Mau "Is that the only thing on your mind?" She gave him a look, flicking her tails. He was.. odd. Rainberries "Pleasures or yer mood, lovely lass?" He fainned his tails idly; rather like a peacock. Then he settled them back down again. "Look Isis-lass. I may be wired that way, especially around a beauty such as yerself, but that doesn't mean I can't care. Besides, I'm certain ye'd be even lovelier could I but get ye to smile... and that's a challange I'm more than willing to take on." Mau Pleasures. Somehow the way he said that word made her shudder lightly. "Pleasures" were not for her - a kitsu that most others feared.. or looked up to. Not someone they would share their lives with. She had thought over it many times, mostly in a fit of anger for the position placed on her. The only ones open to her; her brother, the angel of death... and Hoshi, the odd kit who had sought her out and not been afraid of her.. at first, anyways.
A frown crossed her face as she thought of Hoshi, before she leveled her gaze directly at the blue angelic. "I have no reason to smile." She truly believe it to be so. Rainberries AearHwesta gave her a thoughtful gaze in return. "Ah, lass. Perhaps it is just that ye've not found it yet." He winked charmingly, unable to help himself. It was, after all, part of his nature. "Ye seem to have reason to frown. That's clear. Mayhap ye need to sort out yer reason to frown, and the smile will come after?" Mau "I will always have reason to frown. I am a guardian - a position that forbids love to me." And yet, her brother had found love. Many loves, in fact. A snarl curled her mouth as she remembered that. Her brother, betraying the one he "loved" for another - one of the worst sins for Isis to bear. But she had to. He was her brother. And nother only that, he was the angel of death - any wounds she inflicted on him would heal in time... and she would be alone. "Only one other kitsu has ever talked to me.. other than my brother. And I managed to scare him off.. just like I'll scare you off, eventually." Rainberries The male raised a brow. "Ye'll find I don't scare easily, Lass." She was talking... this was good. "But this lad ye say ye scared off, what of him? And why should your position forbid ye to love? I would think ye'd need love, seeing as how yer lonely." Mau "He was the first to talk to me... other than my brother." She gave him a quick glance before returning her attention to her paws. "You are the second. Most others fear me too much.. or look up to me too much. I am the guardian of life." Rainberries "Guardian of life, eh? That sounds mighty important." His tails flopped, non-pulsed that he was talking with a kitsu that perhaps he probably should look up to. To the ladies kitsu, she was a female first -and that to him was almost sacred. "Sounds like an awful lot of responsibility too. Tell me something though...."
He tilted his head to look at her. "Do ye guard life alone, or what makes life worth living?"
"And if ye don't mind me saying so, most aren't like me -finding barred teeth anything but frightening." Mau "I guard life.. I guard all that is sacred to it.. I should have punished my brother for breaking another's heart, but I couldn't bare to do it.. I would have been alone. So in punishment, I sit here day after day, keeping the peace." Setting her head back down upon her paws, tilted to the side, she yawned slightly. "I suppose you are not.. if you find being bitten exciting..." Rainberries "Ye keep the peace with barred fangs?" He snorted gently. "And what could ye have done to yer brother to punish him for breaking someone's heart?"
He gave her a long sideways glance. "It's not yer fault he did it, nor the lass whose heart he broke. Love's not always kind, but without it... without it life has no meaning, lass." Mau "I gave you fair warning." She huffed. She had warned him.. several times. "He has been in love three times now.. I tolerated his first mate, as best I could.. for Azrael claimed love. And I hated that kitsu more than anything." Scowling, she tried to push the memories of V'Arron away. "When he met his second mate, I was happy for him.. he was happy, she was happy.. and then I found out he had taken another." Rainberries The ladies kitsu squirmed uncomfortably. He was of the mind that he loved all females... but then he was unlikely to tie himself down to one mate. "He broke his mate's heart..."
"Aye, That would be hard to forgive. But what do ye think ye could have done about it? And why tear yerself up over it? It's in the past now, isn't it? Unless yer afraid he will do so again..." Aear shifted uncomfortably. He usually was not this much of a talker. But he wanted to see her smile, just once, before he left.
And maybe... maybe if he was lucky he could share with her an experience of the joys life had to offer. Mau "Oh.. he's quite unable to do that, now.. They had children together." The squirming caught her attention, and she gave him an odd look. "What are you doing?" For all that it was odd, it was at the same time quite amusing to see a grown kitsu squirm like that.. Rainberries Oh no. She had seen. "Me? Ah, well... nothing, Iris lass." He flashed her another charming smile as he forced himself to hold still. "Beam's just a right bit uncomfortable to be sitting still on for long ye know."
"But ye've not told me how ye were supposed to punish yer brother, and why ye should be punished for not doing so."
Almost as an afterthought he added, "An if ye don't mind me asking, is it that he changed mates so easily that bothers ye, or that he is so free with his love?" Mau "Nothing, you say. You don't act like it. And I'm well aware of how uncomfortable it is up here - I've been sitting here for days." The floor below was still quiet, and Isis was thankful for that. No other kitsu to bother her. "I am not being punished for Azrael. My punishment is coming back to this place.. I never wanted to see it again. And being "free" with your love is one thing.. shattering the heart of the one you claimed as your mate is another..." Shooting a sideways glance at him, she shrugged. "You must know, our kind can only breed once.. " Rainberries Aear yipped a bit & nearly fell from the beam. "Truth, lass? I had not really thought of it." He managed to reposition himself again with some amount of decorum. "Kits are for types like Remy & his Asian lady-love or Chroma & her sleepy companion. I'm not very good with little ones, no matter what that lass Moonsprite says."
He spoke glibly, for he had no idea that the young mother he had met the other day was the same Isis spoke of her brother taking. Nor that the lad Amun was the result of said breeding.
"For days, ye say? Come lass, I'll make ye a nest to comfort that lovely hide of yours, if ye be insisting on staying up here." ( continued again) Mau She had no malice towards Moonsprite. The female angelics was, as far as Isis was concerned, innocent as far as the whole affair went. Kits were the same, for they were too young to be anything but innocent. Azrael, however... well, he had known better. "I would rather be up here, where others do not see me. Most others, anyways." A wry smile crossed her lips as she corrected herself - most didn't see her, but he had. Hoshi, of course, would know where to find her. Most other kitsu didn't look up to the high rafters. "I do not need a nest, thank you." Rainberries "And what if I want te make one for ye, needs or no? Would ye like it? Or at least accept?" Russet eyes gazed at her gently. "I hate to see a lass hurting." Mau Isis started, and stared at him, a faint flush coming over her cheeks. "You're an odd one. But I suppose if you insist..." Rainberries "Then I insist, Lovely Lass." He winked & brazenly touched his nose to hers, flying out of her immediate reach almost as quickly. "I'll be back in a jiff, Isis-lass! I promise ye that!"
With a flamboyant bow, AearHwesta turned & flew out of the shop at top speed. In his wake, a whistled sea shanty could be heard. Mau (Isis: *turns BRIGHT red*)
.... ... ... For the first time in her life that she could remember, Isis was completly at a loss for words. She hurriedly buried her nose under her paws, to hide the crimson that was very noticeable on her cheeks now. Rainberries After a while a loud thump can be heard outside. Followed by raised voices. "Look mate, we're not pack animals at your beck & call." "Bloody right! Why didn't you get Lupin? Shouldn't he be here?" AearHwesta's response was of normal level but the laughter in his voice carried his words well enough. "Ye think I don't know apparating by now? He & that lovely Nari of his apparated from the kitchen some time ago. Neptune only knows where they've gone now."
"Sides, lads... ye can fly. Remy can't. And there's two of ye."Grumbles can be heard as the door is opened & the blue & white angelic enters carrying part of something with two identical eagle winged large canines with red & gold scarves & brown spots on their tan fur. "A'right then lads! Let's get her up!" Almost as one the three flew upwards with their strange -but comfortable looking- burden. Mau Her ears perked up at the voices arguing outside - well, two of them were arguing anyways. Peeking open one eye, she gasped as the strange creatures accompanied the blue angelic up into the rafters. "... What.. are they?" Rainberries The angelic male winked at Isis, his mouth holding his part of the bundle. Indicating to the twins that it was in place & to hold it steady, AearHwesta released his hold carefully then attached it to the rafter below the guardian of life. "Talaye, my dear Lady Isis. Fred & George Weasley." He grinned in a boyish fashion & flew first to one tala then the other to attach the thing in place. As each was relieved of his burden they gave little bows to the female, mischief & intelligence dancing in their eyes. "A pleasure." They intoned simultaneously, laughter bubbling in their voices. Turning to Aear it looked like they were about to speak again when he hushed them forcefully & flapped his wings to urge them away. "Aye! I'll remember, ye scurvy dogs! Thank ye! Now be off with ye!"Winking, they bowed once more to Isis before waving their wands & disappearing. The male kitsu chuckled. "Good Lads. Can be heaps of trouble but good lads." Smiling charmingly at Isis he continued to fly around the edge of what looked to be a large cushion. "Give me a minute or two lass, & ye'll have a place in the sky worthy of yer beauty."Mau Isis raised an eyebrow. "They didn't seem at all happy about you summoning them like that.. you.. did summon them, didn't you?" There was a touch of awe in her voice. She knew that some of the kitsu could do magic - but to summon another creature like that? "How is it possible..?" Rainberries He laughed heartily, not stopping in his securing of the "nest" as he responded. "Nay lass, I've no magic that I know of. I know a quick way home, that's all, and I made a beeline for it. Lucky for me the Weasleys were home for me to conscript." He chuckled to himself, thinking of the 'payment' he had promised the two mischievous talaye. "We returned quickly 'cause the lads are wizards. They can apparate, as they call it. It's a right quick means of travel."
By now AearHwesta had gone around all the edges. With an eager whoop! he flew in an arc from underneath it to land on top soundly. Bouncing there for a while he checked the security. Only when he seemed satisfied that it would indeed stay did he turn to Isis with a twinkle in his eye. "Come on & try it, lovely lass! Tell me what ye think!" Mau "Ahh.. I see." She knew of apparition - she had heard of it from Nari. Vaguely, for she never truly paid attention to the red-haired kitsus prattling on and on about Remus and the world of magic. Which, sadly, was probably the reason the younger kitsu sought her out so often to pour her heart out. "And what did you have to promise to secure their aid?" There was a grin playing on her lips - she knew that he had to have promised something to them. They seemed that type. She eyed the nest he had made warily, not quite sure what to make of it. Rainberries The male froze for a brief moment at her question, then smiled & hopped lightly on the 'nest' while watching her. He wanted to show Isis that it was indeed securely attached. The GaiaCom had managed to conjure it perfectly. It was a good thing he was so adept at space sizes & measurements as well. "What did I promise? To test their treats for the next month. And to tell them a tale."
His russet eyes danced with good humor & he lay down. "Don't be afraid lass, it will hold more than the weight of the two of us, ye can be sure of that." Mau She shrugged, stretching her wings out lightly. "I am not afraid of falling." Padding towards him slowly, she cocked her head at the oddness of his.. promise. "Are these.. treats.. that bad? Enough that they cannot get others to try them normally? And a tale?" She poked one paw at the edge of the nest, investigating it curiously. To conjure something so quickly, and yet he claimed no magic. She gave him a look, not believing his claim of having no magic. Tentatively, she set one foot on it, leaning some of her weight on. When it didn't crash to the ground below them, she nodded to herself and stepped fully onto it, sitting neatly near the edge and curling her tails around her paws, wings once again folded against her back. Rainberries "Magic treats. And other contraptions for their 'joke' shop. They have a wide range of effects & are worse while the twins are still 'perfecting' them if ye will." Aear was practically beaming that she was on the nest. "Trel's warned us all not to test anything for them, so usually they are their own guinea pigs. Sometimes that makes it harder for them to find the right antidote."
"And, aye, a tale. Though I don't know the nature of it yet." Tucking his wings tightly to his back the male rolled over onto them & stretched out languidly. "Ahhhh... ye won't be minding if I come & visit ye up here will ye? This is right comfortable." Mau "You cannot make one for yourself?" She stuck her tongue out at him, childishly. "Think of the tales they'll tell... down there... if any of them were to catch sight of it." Rainberries Tilting his head he looked at her with a grin. "I suppose I could. But what fun would it be to be alone?"
Then he winked at her, not his usual flirting wink but one that bespoke a conspiracy. "That's if they see it, Iris-lass. I've the twins' word on the magical camouflage from underneath is nigh undetectable even by witches to wizards. One'd have to be almost a god to see it without knowing it was here."
"I had a very specific order to give Myranda for the conjuring. Ye should enjoy it." AearHwesta patted the space beside him, inclining his head. "And I dare ye to tease me like that again, ye wondrous lass." He added watching her mouth with his russet eyes bright & dancing. "That far away, and it's almost cruel." Mau Tilting her head at him, she watched him pat the open space and blinked. "Tease you? Did I tease you?" She really didn't have a clue what she had teased him with, but.. With a small shake of her head, she moved closer to him, this time sitting just out of his reach. Rainberries AearHwesta smiled happily. Seemed the ice queen was warming up to him. Perhaps he would get her to smile yet. Maybe more.
"Aye, lovely lass. That lovely pink tongue of yers, waving like a promise." He rolled from his back to his side, putting his legs away from Isis but craning his neck around to keep his eyes on hers. "Keep that up, lass, & love will be finding ye whether ye doubt it or not." Mau For all that she had been alive for so long, Isis was quite.. naive... when it came to matters of lovers. "A promise..?" Her gaze was quizzical. "What would that be a promise of?" Rainberries He blinked at her, rolling back towards her in wonder. "Ye don't know? Ye've no idea...?" AearHwesta knew to some extent that he often took innocent things the wrong way almost on purpose, but usually when he hinted his way his meaning became clear. As much as she had talked of her brother's mates the ladies' kitsu thought she had at least an idea... but perhaps not.
"But ye protect the joys of life, do ye not? And don't give me that 'yer not permitted to love' rot." Mau "No. I have no idea. Should I? I have never had a.. mate.. or lover... And it not my business to pry into the affairs of others." She watched him as he moved back towards her, but made no movement to move out of his reach again. "And I never said that I am not permitted to love. I said that I am unable to find love, because of my status. Others fear me, or revere me." Rainberries "And ye don't wish to be feared or revered, do ye?" He looked at her with eyes full of compassion. There was a trace of sadness, and a definate appretiation of her beauty as well that could almost be reverance but was not quite. He rolled again, until he was against her forepaws, gazing up at her with entreaty. "And what of me, Isis-lass?"
He did not wink, but he might as well have. Mau She raised a brow at his question. "And what of you? You're an incorrigible flirt, from what I see." Using one paw, she reached out and gently rolled him the opposite way, and then back again. "For most kitsu.. I do not care of them. It is usually the ones I do care about..." Rainberries Aear chuckled as he let her roll him back & forth. "Incorrigible. That I be indeed, lovely lass."
He did not like the way her thoughts seemed to be heading again. That would not lead to her smiling. So AearHwesta did what he did best: made a bold & possibly brazen move. Using his wings he pushed himself up from the nest slightly until he could easily curve his forepaws over Isis' shoulders. Looking into her golden eyes he gently pulled the slightest bit. "I can be much more than a flirt, Isis-lass." Mau Golden eyes flared as she tried to pull back from him, but couldn't without falling off the edge of the nest.. or dropping him flat on his face - neither a welcome option. "What is that supposed to mean?" Rainberries Unfazed by her flaring eyes AearHwesta gently moved one paw to tenderly brush her long white tresses towards Isis' ear. "What would ye like it to mean? I'd like to see ye happy, lass." Mau "Why? Why are you so anxious to see me happy, even if it means going out of your way?" Rainberries "Why not? Yer sad. A lass as lovely & intelligent as ye should not be sad. Even if I can make ye smile for only a moment. I'll be glad." He neither pulled nor released, but held his paws where they were lightly. "I'm certain I could give ye at least a moment of happiness... maybe many." ( continued again) Mau "Many.. " Her eyes widened and her cheeks turned crimson. "Are you always that forward?" Granted, to be around a kitsu who didn't fear her was a nice change.. but still quite odd to her. Rainberries AearHwesta dodged answering for a moment. He moved his paw from her hair to brush her cheek where the color had changed. "This is a nice color on ye..." He winked, refraining from nuzzling the spot. He was bold, but not necessarily foolhardy.
Still, a gentleman should answer the question. Even if it had to be in a round-about manner. "I am what I am, lass. Would ye have talked to me had I been otherwise?" Mau Isis stared at him for a moment, then dropped her head down and let out a light laugh. "Most likely, not. So I suppose it is a trait in your favor - being odd." Rainberries His eyes twinkled happily to hear her laugh. When Isis dropped her head it came temptingly close to where AearHwesta was holding his. Being who he was, Aear could not resist touching his white muzzle to the now cooling spot where her blush had been. He whispered gently before pulling away to catch her golden eyes. "That's good, lass. For I'm not about to change."
Then he smiled, both for his daring & her own sweet laughter. "Yer even more beautiful when ye laugh, ye know that?" Mau "I haven't had much to laugh about lately." She froze for a moment as he brushed his muzzle across her cheek. No one had ever touched her.. especially not like that. With a half-grin, she flashed a look at him. "Suppose I'll have to take you as you are, then?" She couldn't resist the urge to tease him about it, just a little. Rainberries She said "take". AearHwesta's russet eyes sparkled. "Aye, Isis-lass. And ye can 'take' me whenever ye like." Like right now.
"I'm glad I could give ye something to laugh about. If ye like, I'll come back & make ye laugh whenever ye like." Mau "O_O; I wouldn't begin to know how to "take" you in that manner. And I think most would be insulted to be laughed at and teased. Your oddness again, I suppose? :p" Rainberries The male made a slight mew of protest, almost in mock innocence bordering on gallantry. "I would gladly be yer jester for a smile." He grinned adoringly at Isis. "Ye can call me odd all ye like, and I shall not be insulted. Words from a lady's lips are as lovely as what brings them forth."
"As for not knowing, I'd be honored to show ye." Mau ""I could always use a court jester." Teasing, a half-grin was still on her muzzle. His antics were amusing.. if a little disturbing. "You are very free with your love, aren't you?" Rainberries Now it was his turn for color to come to his cheeks. "Aye, Isis-lass, ye could say that." It was a good thing his wings were strong & accustomed to AearHwesta using them in odd ways, for they had been holding his torso up at an angle for a good while now. "I've too much love to hold inside, even if I wanted to." Mau "Too much love inside?" She wrinkled her nose, unsure of that statement. "You could not share your love with one person?" Rainberries He laughed lightly. "Far too much love inside. I would not lie to a lass, saying she was the only one for me unless she really was. Nor do I lie when I say I love a lass, for I do."
"But if ye mean whether I can share my love with just one lass... I suppose it could be possible. I won't deny that stranger things have happened. I just don't see it happening. It wouldn't be fair or right to tie a lass down like that. And I'm to "free" as ye say." Mau "Ah.. yes.. of course. Freedom. :p" She shook her head at him. "I'm going to laugh the day you find yourself tied down by love." Rainberries "From the look on many of my family's faces, the ropes that bind such are soft enough." He winked happily at her. "I prefer binding for love than by love."
"Who knows, lovely lass, if ye stick around good ol' AearHwesta you might yet well be getting that laugh of yers." Russet eyes danced & Aear used his wings to push himself further upright until his mouth was by her ear. He did not otherwise touch her more than he was already but whispered softly. "And ye? Will ye wait to be bound by love, doubting ye can find it or accept a love given freely?" Mau "And you.. are asking for it." It may have sounded like a warning, but there was laughter in her voice as she turned her head and nipped on his ear. "If I'm never to find that one love, then why should I wait? It doesn't make sense, does it?" Rainberries AearHwesta purred. "Aye... I'm asking, that be true." His heart leapt with excitement that she had nipped him -& not just for what such an action did to him. Aear craned his neck & licked lightly on her ear. Only then did he answer her. "Nay. It makes no sense at all." Mau She flicked her ear in response to his licking it, and shook her head. "I forget, you enjoy such things. Perhaps next time I should bite you harder - or would you enjoy that too?" There was a small sigh. "I suppose not.. but still.. one could hope?" Rainberries "I enjoy many things. I hope ye will too." Lightly, he pulled a little bit down with his paws as he smiled up at her charmingly. "As long as there's no bloodshed... It'd be a shame for yer nest to be bloodied the first day it was up." Mau Dropping her nose to her paws to level herself with him, she shook her head. "No.. bloodshed is not needed, I think. You are a persistentthing, aren't you? And very intersted in the act of physical love.. maybe more so than spiritual." Rainberries His wings folded once again underneath him, AearHwesta turned his head to her & liked Isis' paw softly as if placing a light kiss there. "The one solidifies the other, Isis lass. If it was all about the act, with no heart behind it there would be no joy."
"Or would ye rather me play yer body against ye?" Mau "You'd have a hard time of that, if I wasn't willing. If you tried, and I wasn't.. you'd be in a great deal of trouble." There was a hint of challenge there.. almost.. or at least, what could be taken as such. Rainberries "I could try lass, and it's a tempting challenge indeed. Willing being the only way..." Deftly he moved his head to lick the rim of a white ear. "It's a challenge I can't help but take a chance on." Aear whispered huskily before dropping his head again. ( continued again) Mau Eyes widened, face crimson, Isis almost let out a shriek at the unexpected contact - very intimate contact - but instead stifled it at the sound of paws below. "This is not the place!" But still, she was curious.. even if she did know that he would move on afterwords and find others to lay pretty compliments on. Rainberries His ears too picked up the sound of others below them & he let out a soft sigh of disappointment. Aear had thought an aerial nest to be the perfect spot for one such as Isis... save for company below.
Then he started to grin lopsidedly, registering what she had said. Only that this was not the place. "Then perhaps... another place?" He reached up to brush a paw along the rim he had just licked. "Surely ye can fly off for a while."
"Or we can wait until we are alone again. Whatever ye like. I'll not hurry ye, lass. There's no pleasure in that." Mau With a mock-growl, Isis batted the paw away. "There is always a chance of someone stumbling in here. It is not a private place." Then, with a small grin, she reached up and clamped teeth onto his ear - not hard enough to hurt, but of course, with him... "But I do know of places that are." Rainberries A happy growl rumbled from deep within & AearHwesta began to purr. Russet eyes danced. "And ye will show me one of these places, aye? Perhaps one with soft edges? I'd hate to accidentally hurt ye." Mau "I suppose I could.. and they are all.." Rubbing her head against his cheek, she stepped towards the edge of the nest, stretching her wings slightly. Rainberries His heart leapt in his chest when she touched him & Aear felt it start to race with anticipation. When Isis went to the edge of the nest he flipped himself from his back to his feet, stretching his own wings as he went to join her. They were a little stiff from his having used them to prop himself up for so long earlier but the blue & white male only smiled thinking that it would be quite worth it. Teasing her lightly with his tails of things to come AearHwesta gave her a playful wink. "Then lead the way, Isis-lass. I won't be letting ye out of my sight." Mau "If you can keep up with me, that is.. " After giving him a moment to stretch his wings, she took off from the edge of the nest, dipping towards the gro und before rising back up and out the open door. Rainberries He laughed fully. "Try me, Lass. I love a challenge." Dropping off after her, Aear duplicated her fancy maneuver with a grin. "It would take a stronger wind than any I've seen to keep me away from ye now, Isis-lass. Ye can count on that."

A Mountain outing with soots Mountain Page 3504Rainberries Remus walked slowly as a little kit ran around his feet happily chasing a blue star he batted around with a soot-colored paw. He had been told he needed exercise that did not figure Nari into the equation. The wizard had blushed at that, still quite surprised at this turn of events, even after so long. So he'd been paired with the Soot-kit to keep him company as a reverse chaperone. Remus Lupin had to grin at that as the two walked the base of the mountain. [Where we, Rem-Rem?] "A place with space to play, Soot."Waarufu The meadow that Soubi usually hung around gave way eventually from its flowers to a vast expanse of grass. In the opposite direction it fell off into the forest. While the black and white kitsu napped in the flowers, his delicate wings spread wide open to catch the sunlight, the small black kit pranced around with the red star sprinkle grasped firmly in his mouth. Soot was very merry, as he usually was every day (much to Soubi's chagrin). In the brightly colored flowers, it was easy to find his black form between the trail of soot he left behind and the light cloud that seemed to hover around him. With his tails up in the air, soot dropping over the flowers, the little one bounded through the meadow. Rainberries He certainly was lacking in manners, & Remus raised a careful brow. "Pleased to meet you, Soubi." The scholar wondered at him having the same name as another he met with Ember but filed it away for later contemplation. Soot was starting to spin in circles in front of the other one -his way of showing he wanted to play a game. Well, that was good. "Seems to me one of the soots has found it's way into your home as well. Cute, but quite dirty. I managed to enspell Soot here to keep the house from becoming covered with his trial."Waarufu The red starred soot gave another peppy chirp, mimicking the other soot's movements of running in a circle after his own tails. The tiny dust cloud swirled and settled rapidly on the flowers around them, and the soot seemed to be completely oblivious to his own dusty trail. Soubi stared on for a few moments before looking back over at the other adult. He sighed and shook his head. "He doesn't even realize it." An ear twitched, and his wings shifted in obvious annoyance from that statement. "What brings you out this far from the mountain?" Perhaps it was better to move on to other things. Rainberries The little soot grinned, not minding the other's trail of soot in the slightest. Of course it also did not notice that its own trail of soot had been curtailed. Stopping his circling, Soot tapped the other on the shoulder, smiling & looking as if to run at any minute. [Tag?]"They are kits... they do not notice much." Remus wondered at the annoyance on Soubi's body language but said nothing. He chuckled instead at the question. "Fresh air & exercise. I have been duly informed that spending time with my beloved in the garden does not constitute proper exercise, nor does spending time with or without her in the library offer enough fresh air."Waarufu Bouncing from one paw to the other, Soot nodded excitedly with a small barking chirp to accompany - he'd love to play! Clutching his star sprinkle in his mouth, he settled in to get ready for the chase with his tails wiggling behind him. "He certainly ignores what he wants to." The butterfly rolled his eyes absently, ears twitching again. So much for a happy family between these two. As Remus continued, he quirked an eyebrow in regards to him. "Sounds like you got it bad, huh?" There was a bit of humor in his voice this time, and not nearly as much chastising. It wasn't that he was necessarily ill-mannered, just perhaps not used to being around others.

A Friend's good News & Aear flirts with a Nightmare Page 2689Rainberries The wizard walked in through the door feeling remarkably happy; and surprisingly refreshed & relaxed. Remus had been spending quite a good deal of time with Nari since leaving the HQ last... & he did not regret a thing. On top of that, there was abolutely no moon tonight. Finding a pillow that was not from Tsu's pile, Remus settled down in happy quiet. MoochiLove The door to the HQ is pushed open quite roughly and a Nitemare Kitsu walks through, flicking her tongue about as she takes in the scents around her. She doesn't seem to mind the fact there is a large Angelic walking behind her...or more the fact, she tolerates his presence, even though he is an Angelic.
Nunzio sticks close behind the tempermental Nitemare female, but he smiles good naturedly anyway, sending her a rumbling purr her way, even though she never accepted it. Autumn_Fury Ember, however, was a different story. He felt drained, unhappy that he'd only met with Rhian briefly today, and a bit on edge. Maybe he should sleep more, he thought wryly, instead of staying up long enough to sneak the Book from Autumn's room and back again. Yeah, right. Like that was going to happen until he finished it. Sighing softly, he slunk into the HQ, not even bothering to look around him as he made his way directly to flop on the couch. Rainberries Whistling a jaunty sea shanty the blue & white angelic flies in over the newly arrived pair. He spots his sibling off a ways but chooses not to visit Remus in favor of the female below. Of course she would be with a male... but did that mean they were an item? AearHwesta would have to see.
With a glance at the nest he knew hung high above, Aear went into action.
Hovering off to their left Aear bowed flamboyantly. "Good day to ye, lad & lassie! I am AearHwesta." He smiled broadly. "What brings the two of ye here today?"Remus looked up with apprehension as his brother entered the room, but quickly cast worry of him aside spotting Ember so downtrodden. His heart went out to him.
Quickly he was on his feet & padding over to Ember's side. Remus sat in front of the couch, his head at the level of his friend's. "Soul Brother... what ails you? Is there anything I can do to help?" MoochiLove Charna stops as she flicks her tongue out to take in the new scent and then she opens her mouth to send a hiss his way, baring her fangs. Just because she tolerated Nunzio didn't mean she had to be around other Angelics if she could help it. Not saying anything, she sidesteps the Angelic, flicking her tongue to see if she can find the kitchen.
Nunzio sighs and sits down, folding his wings back as he shakes his head at the female Nitemare, "Charna, that was very rude of you to do, he was trying to introduce himself." the Angelic says in his usual deep voice, trying to scold the female.
Charna turns her head to make it seem she is looking at them over her shoulder, even though she can't see at all, "That isn't my problem Nunzio..." she growls, turning her head away, flicking her tails about.
Nunzio sighs again before looking to Aear, "I do apoligize about my....sister, she isn't very social....my name is Nunzio, this is Charna." he says, gesturing to the Nitemare. Autumn_Fury Ember started at the sudden appearance of Remus before him, squeaking in surprise and cowering a bit before he registered who it was, and grinned sheepishly, nodding his greeting to his friend. "Remus," he murmured, almost cheerfully. Oh, but it was good to see him! "I..n-no, nothing ails me, I'm only tired." Hoping that this would assure Rem, Ember belatedly realized that he should sit up to properly greet him, winced, and hopped down from the couch to nuzzle him. "It's good to see you again..." Rainberries AearHwesta was not the least bit taken aback. After all, Isis had snapped at him at first too... & that had turned out quite satisfactorily. In fact... ah but now was not the time for such thoughts. But, Had the other angelic said sister? Ah, this was very good news indeed. Russet eyes sparkled happily.
"No apology needed, my good man! Nunzio ye said? A pleasure to meet ye. And the lovely lass, the Lady Charna? Yer sister, aye?" Taking a step forward he eyes her flicking tongue with more than a little interest. "A pleasure to meet ye as well, lovely lass."
With surprising quickness he reached for her paw, lightly placing a kiss upon it. Even should she bite his ear through, it would be worth it."It is good to see you too. I have missed you." Fully happy, Remus only too gladly nuzzled his friend in return. "Tired, yes. But there's more, Ember. Something troubles you... I can tell." MoochiLove Nunzio is about to warn Aear not to touch her, but he shuts his eyes, his expression in a wince expression as he knows exactly is about to happen.
Charna is about to wander off when her paw is suddenly picked up and kissed and she snatchs it away, swiping her paw to slap his face, "Don't touch me you Angelic goody-two-shoes!!" she hisses harshly, backing away and looking ready to unleash hells fury if he comes closer, her tails swinging about angrily. Autumn_Fury Ember hesitated, then shook his head. No, he couldn't tell anybody about his Book just yet..not when even he was unsure about it. For all he knew, this could be Kitumn's idea of a joke...and he had fallen for it, jumping in headfirst. "I am well enough, but for missing my dear Rhi..." he replied, then lit up, realizing he did have something he could tell his friend. "I do, however have some news..." he commented with a grin, then paused, waiting for Remus's permission to go on. Rainberries Stars danced in his vision from the blow. He smiled. "Ahhh... such strength! & Lightening reflexes & temper to match yer beautiful hide. Aye, yer a lovely lass indeed. Not that I see what being an angelic has to do with anything, Charna-lass. Do not be so quick to judge, I can be quite... accommodating in my fashion."
Getting to his feet, he began to purr. Aear rocked slightly still from the blow but he did not let that faze him. "Perhaps ye'd like a tour? Or do ye come here often & I;ve managed to miss seeing such a lovely lass?"He could not help but wince as his brother was hit, but shook his head in wonderment at Aear's persistence. Besides, Ember's news was much more dearer to his heart. Aear could take care of himself.
Remus' eyes lit up. "News? Dear friend, if it makes you shine like that, even when missing your mate I can hardly wait to hear it." MoochiLove Nunzio decides to keep quiet on this bout, knowing he would have to step in and hold Charna back if she got pushed too far, especially by the flirty Angelic male.
Charna lets out a harsh growl Aear's way, backing away, "How about you just throw yourself off a cliff!!! Now leave me alone!! Or I will do worse then hit you!" she says, hissing again to get him to stay away as she turns and tries to find her way to the kitchen, going by scent alone with her tongue.
Nunzio follows after her slowly, knowing he would have to have a stern talking to with her later about manners...and not hitting other Kitsus and telling them to jump off a cliff. Autumn_Fury "I'm...to be a father!" he exclaimed, flushing slightly. He still wasn't sure he'd make a good father- what if the kits didn't like him? As it was his eyes widened to amazing sizes & he gaped dumbfounded at Ember for the space of a few moments. Then sheer joy overtook him. "Ember! That is indeed wonderful news! Congratulations! Of course you are missing Rhian more than ever! But to be a father!"
Remus flung his head over his friend's neck & hugged him. "I am so happy for you , Soul Brother." MoochiLove Charna whirls on the fliry Angelic, hissing and growling at him, "So you finally noticed, eh genius?! I'm blind, all Nitemares have their eyes sewn shut!! Now quite wasting my time and leave me alone!" she hisses, wanting to raise a paw to slap at him again, but knowing Nunzio is close by, he would stop her. Autumn_Fury As Remus stared at him, Ember worried that he'd said something offensive, or wrong...but then, when he was hugged, relief and excitement flowed into him, and he returned the hug with a laugh. "Thank you!" he cried, stepping back so that he could watch Remus's face once more. "I...do you think I'll do alright?" he asked curiously, his grin fading just a bit. "I'm not sure what to expect.." Rainberries "Sight's not everything, ye know. And I'd hardly wish to waste yer time, lovely lass. I'll gladly join ye wherever it is ye be heading.""I do not believe any new father does know, Ember. However, I know you will love them... and that is enough for me to know that you will do well by them."

Remus Lupin was in a rather odd mood for him. Without being with Nari or Ember or even books, he was happy. Perhaps even more surprising -he was not inclined to hide in his library. He lounged comfortably on a sofa in the family's great room, sharing the company of his family members. It was a gentle, easy-going day. The sun filtering through the room's windows was bright and warm. No odd noises came from the Weasleys' room beyond the magic door. Of course, only if something dangerously bad happened was the magic of room and door to permit sound to pass casually, so this was a very good thing. For once, the television in one corner of the room was turned off -a curtain reminiscent of theatre drapes hiding the strange muggle device from view. Instead the stereo played at a comfortable level, the music from a great variety of songs in all styles filling their home with happy warmth. Trelweny and her young song were dancing to the music, many of the fae creatures in attendance around them. Or rather, Trelweny was dancing and the two year old boy was attempting to mimic his mother. At least during the more upbeat songs. Another slow song came around & the young widow swung Theron up into her arms. He gave out a cry of joy as she stepped into an exaggerated "slow dance" with him -"dipping" the child playfully from time to time as she stepped in & around the myriad of cushions on the floor in time to the music. Pausing to smile almost dotingly on the pair Remus blinked as the words to the song struck him. Girl, you're looking fine tonight

Slowly his eyes closed, a vision of the vision that was Nari filing his mind's eyes. Oh, he knew she was not an angelic -not in the way AearHwesta was- despite her healing magics. She had no halo. But she was more than an angel to Remus. He found himself relating to the song on so many levels. He still could hardly believe his good fortune in earning the auburn haired beauty's friendship, much less her love & devotion. Remus held onto the song with his heart, sighing happily. The werewolf kitsu still doubted he deserved the love & happiness that had found him, but he could not find it in him to wish to turn any of it away. And who was he to lessen the gift those who loved him had given? Remus could only hope his love in return was enough for them as well. They had given him such happiness...
