Journal Entry 033
It's been a few days since Valentine's Day and things are going well. Taranis had really ennjoyed the fourteenth and I could swear that there were millions of paper hearts scattered around. I've never seen such a mess. Though with a bit of help from both Ilco and Taranis we got everything cleaned up in the end.

Kaigan still hasn't been speaking to me much. We've talked a few times, but not much at all. Just a few words here and there. I fear that he's becoming too bitter. Maybe I shouldn't have brogut him over to the island. He did seem happy living on the main land. Though I'd rather not send him back now, things will work out. I know it.

Carl...What to say about that little gryphon. He's a handful. Not as bad as Taranis is, and definatly not as bad as when Taranis was when a gryphon...But he caused a mess right after Taranis, Ilco and I had finished cleaning. Spilt cracker crumbs all over the living room floor.

It's pretty funny. Between Taranis, Ilco and Carl I don't know who loves crackers more. They all seem to adore them.

Journal Entry 034
Taranis, Kaigan all went down to the beach today. We took two surfboards and just sat out in the water. It seems that both their love for water allowed them to get along for the day. Or at least while were where out.

Kaigan had decided to himself that he was going to teach his little brother how to surf, not to mention filling his head with all the surfer slang. I'm rather happy that, that Spryggla doesn't speak like a surfer 24/7 anymore.

Taranis took a while to get a hang of standing, but at the end of the day he manged to stay up...For a while. The waves weren't really big, which is pretty good seeing as the little guy was just learning. However there were many complaints from Kaigan. I swear that boy complains about every little thing. Still however, that fact that he was helping Taranis out with surfing tells me that he's not so selfish aanymore, or at not as much he used to be.

The young Aerandir quickly scrabled to his room, opening up his trunk and rummaging though it before finding a blank book. Slowly he opened it up and pasted a post-it note right on the front page. With a smile he closed the book and placed it back in the trunk, before wandering off to find something to do.

Arms flew up as a long drawn out yawn escaped the mouth of a blue haired girl. Gently she placed her hands in her hair, giving it ruffle, allowing it to fall in her face. "Taranis...We've been here for hours. Can't you just make up your mind?" she groaned, leaning back against the wall next to a young white haired boy.

Kaigan mearly rolled his eyes, folding his arms. "It'll be quick she says. Just getting him a bag for his letters." The boy scowled, turning his head, "I could be in the water right now."

Yakobi turned her gaze to the boy, giving him that look she always gave him when she was annoyed with something he was saying. Kaigan was always so...Negative. She'd just never understand it. He was fine when he was growing up, and when he was around his friends. Why he had all of a sudden become so bitter to everything, she'd never know. Or perhaps her mind had already figured it out, it just simply did not want to accept it.

"Buuuut, I hauen't found the rught one yet." the Aerandir spoke, puffing up his cheeks as he placed down the bag he had been looking at back into the pile.

"Just hurry up brother." the white haired boy muttered, lifting his back from the wall and begining to walk off to some other part of the store.

"KAIGAN!" Yakobi howled, her brows knitted as she watched him pay no attention to her and walk off out of sight. "Erg! That boy...."

A gentle tug was made upon her pant leg, the girl slowly looking to her size. Taranis stood smiling, clutched tightly in his hand was a black bag, a tiny little skull fixed in the corner. "Oh! You found one you like." The boy simply nodded.

It was that one time of the year again. That one time when one grew older. That one time when-

"HAPPY BURDAY!" Taranis' somewhat rusty voice rang out as he ran around the room, arms held up high Ilco and Carl bounding around his feet.

It was his guardian's birthday this day, you see. And it was an amazing shock that she still had blue hair, though that wasn't really on anyone's mind at the time. What was most important was cake. Enough was said. Cake, sweets. Birthdays were good.

Though it wasn't just that, it was the fact that it was a big get together. Or perhaps not so big, as it was just the five that lived in the house that were seated in the living room. How old Yakobi now was, could not be certain as she was not going to speak her age. Though had she ever spoken her age, Kaigan would have known. And if he had known, the world would have known. If there was anything in it for himself of course.

The festivities seemed so short yet they had gone along the whole day. By the time the day was done, Yakobi had conked out...Or rather fallen asleep, Taranis also dozed off in her lap. The lime green winged cat, and mini-gryph alssep upon the floor by the girl's feet.

Kaigan had wandered outside, and fallen asleep upon the porch from refusing to head in so that he could continue to watch the stars.

It had been a good day.

The little white and black Aerandir looked to his new bag. He had just returned home with his family, something of which he was quite happy with. Over the few months he had seemed to be getting quite the little attitude, oviously picking it up from his older brother, though he certainly wasn't as rude. He was just simply...A tad rebelious.

Blood red eyes looked over the black messenger bag, he wanted to add something to it. The little skull in the corner simply did not make it special enough. Upon the table in front of him lay a ball of twine, but just putting string on it would not work. No, no. There had to be more then just string to place on his special bag.

Tapping a finger upon his chin he sat there thinking of many ideas. The boy stretched out his long black wings before folding them back up behind him. There were just so many possiblities.

It was then that it hit him. He could put one of his feathers on the bag! That would truly make it special, and show that it was his. Stretching out one wing he placed a chubby little hand upon it, grabbing hold of one of the feathers....Now he just had to come up with a way of getting it off his wing without hurting.

He was certainly going to be sitting there for a while.

Journal Entry 035
It's been forever since we've all been on the island. I feel so bad for just up and leaving like I did. There was just so much going on, and I was really needed back on the mainland. However now we're back on the island and hopefully it will remain so for quite some time. I don't plan on taking off any time soon, so perhaps me and the boys will go out and take a walk around the island. After all, it's been so long.

Taranis has begun to grow quite the little attitude, though it is no where near as bad as Kaigan's. Infact I found him earilier pulling out one of his feathers to tie onto his bag I got him a few months back. He said he wanted to make it look cool, and show that it was his. Something he said Kaigan had said to do with anything that you always carried around with you. Ah Kaigan's little 'words of wisdom'.

Well hopefully Taranis wont take too much after his brother. I don't think I'd be able to handle two with thar bad attitude, but from what it seems I don't think it'll turn out that way.
