If Haki knew one thing, she knew this. Her father was fun, and he always managed to get a funny reaction from other people. "Daddee." she said, and then, as if to be more helpful, pointed to the other man. "Hay-dren." she said, as if it was exaplanation. And to push her point in further. "Hay-dren a mage."
See? She was polite, and all that.
Marc, looking back and seeing the way his mage's face seemed to match some of the furniture, smiled slightly as he walked forewords. Holding the towel in one hand and holding his other hand out, he nodded.
"Good morning." his smile was professional, warm, as if they weren't in this situation. "I am Marc. Thank you for taking care of my daughter." he turned his eyes on the boy.
Pretty. No wonder Haki had gone to their house.
"He's red because he's embarrassed." he answered, and grinned, flashing a glance towards Hadrian. "Although I don't know why."

Noting that Marc was doing nothing to aleve the...embaressing nature of the situation, Hadrian quickly disappeared back into the bedroom. The next thing that exited it was something flying - a bathrobe. And the man who had thrown it had excellent aim, as it landed on Marc.
Obviously, Hadrian felt it would be better if they were a bit more...clothed.
It was a few moments later when Hadrian re-emerged, having put on the robe. And the blush had no lessened in the least.
While Marc seemed so polite and all, he offered his apologies to the woman.
"I'm very sorry about that...we, ah, weren't expecting anyone right now."

How did this man keep a straight face? And without blushing! Her face reddened even more when he acted as if nothing were wrong. Haki had said the other man was Hay-dren. Hay-dren? Hadrian?!
Dacian had mentioned Hadrian, but she never pictured him like this. Did all the mages like men? That might explain a few things about Dacian...but she wouldn't jump to conclusions.
"Um, you're welcome," she stammered. "N-no problem at all. I'm Remi."
She was glad when Hadrian threw the bathrobe at Marc. She could only guess they had been committing lewd acts when they had walked in. Then something clicked. Had Marc left Haki all alone just to be with Hadrian? The jerk! How could he leave a little girl all by herself for the sake of sex? Being a virgin herself, she wasn't sure what was all that great about it.
"May I ask why Haki was all by herself on my stairwell?" her face didn't lessened in embarrassed redness, but she was getting a little more confident. She wasn't mad at Haki for being on the stairwell, just indignant that this man wasn't more worried about her.

Marc reached for the robe, and a wicked, wicked smile crossed his face. It was usually the one he was wearing when he thought of Hadrian and knew places to... explore. The one he had been wearing when he had suggested the shower.
"Hello Remi." he said.
Using two hands to slip the robe around his shoulders, when it was on, the towel dropped. And then Marc fastened the robe. They were too close for anyone to see anything. (Marc wasn't willing to go THAT far).
But it still made him smile.
"On your stairwell?" he asked, blinking. "Because she grew bored on this one."
What a silly answer.

Hadrians embaressment was growing even more as Marc reacted to the woman's concern in that way. Honestly, Marc was acting childish - well, if one could call a grown man, in nothing but a bathrobe childish.
His appearance certainly wasn't childish, that was for sure.
Oh my. He had a feeling Marc was going to make this little encounter take a turn for the worse...apparently, being interrupted put the man in a bad mood. Or at least a mood to irritate someone.

Marc's calmness about the whole issue was starting to make her angry. Because Haki got bored? Did that mean he kicked her out for the night? Great, now he was naked wearing nothing but a bathrobe. Did this man have no decency? Too many questions were running through her head!
"And you weren't worried at all?" her voice got louder. This was a grown man, who was definitely both taller and stronger than she was. She could be tenacious when she wanted to be, but she'd never tried it on two nearly naked men before. "What if she hadn't found her way to my apartment? Huh? She could have been kidnapped. Or worse, killed!"
Even though Hadrian showed a little more concern for the little girl, she still had expected him to put the Souls first. Dacian had mentioned Hadrian's responsibilities to her once.
"And you! Dacian told me about you!" she said, pointing an accusing finger at Hadrian. "I expected better from you. But no, I find the person I think is supposed to take care of Gavin when he needs help half naked in this man's living room. What were you two thinking?!"
She'd probably overstepped a few boundaries. But that motherly instinct could be a b***h at times. Gavin just watched the entire conversation with wide eyes, having no idea what's going on.

Marc was in a bad mood. Anyone would be, after having spent all night making up with a new lower and getting really into it in the morning, and being interrupted by a woman who didn't appreciate his beauty. Or the fact that he was standing in front of her in just a robe.
"Remi." he said, soothingly. He used this tone on overbearing clients who hated to lose. "Haki is in a compound overlooked by mages, in a special project that from what research I've done has not bee threatened or watched by any nefarious organization. No one would have kidnapped her. I have no enemies (that know of this location) and she is far too resilient to get herself killed." he beamed. So THAT was where she had learnt that expression! "You have taken SUCH good care of her. How can I thank you?"
Haki giggled.
"And what we were thinking." his voice dropped just a tone. "Involved a shower, soap, suds, and certainly not two toddlers and a remarkable mother."

Hadrian had slowly begun to regain control of his blush - until Marc's final comment. His tone at this point, when he spoke, could easily be classified as 'scandalized'.
"Marc!"
Well, no chance of getting rid of that blush now.
Turning his attention to Remi, he spoke in the hopes of diffusing the situation. "As he said, however...the compound is remarkably safe. It isn't like in the city."
Please leave. Before Marc said anything more like that last comment...before his face was permanently a shade of red.

She was right. They had no decency. Luckily Gavin was probably too young to understand anything of this. In fact, Gavin was wondering if these guys enjoyed bathtime together as much as he did with Haki. Apparently people should always bathe together. It looked like more fun.
Still, Marc was making it extremely difficult for her to get any angrier. Remarkable mother, eh? She knew he was kissing up, but still no one had called her that before. She sighed heavily, the color of her face slowly returning to normal.
"I'm sorry, it's just that whenever Gavin gets loose I end up running around this place frantically looking for him. I guess I just get angry when others don't do the same. Though I hardly want to know what you two were doing back there."
That had been a little too much information for her tastes. As handsome as both of them were, she didn't want to imagine them together. In a shower...with soap. Dear god, he had given her a mental visual. She blanched.

Marc smiled, glad that she had stopped yelling. Reaching for Haki, Haki reached for her Marc too. Thank goodness it was all over. And she voiced another thought.
"I bath with Mine too!" she said, nodding her head. It seemd right to share the information that was going around.
"Mine?" deciding that it meant the little boy, he nodded, grinning. "I'm sure you had fun."
Gods, but he was enjoying himself. "Remi, please. Thank you for bringing Haki back. It won't happen again, but she's quite... strong willed, when it comes to her independence." graver, more serious now. "Thank you for taking care of her. Would you like something to drink, while you're here? Breakfast?"
Haki looked at Gavin.
While Marc looked at Hadrian.
See? He could be grownup too!

With a smile at Marc, Hadrian made it clear that he approved of that far more then the previous behavoir. At least, in front of strangers.
Shifting his gaze back to Remi, he also nodded.
"Yes, it wouldn't be any trouble if you joined us for breakfest - I'm sure we could find you something."
At least she had calmed down, and stopped yelling. Hopefully this wouldn't get spread around...
Dacian would never let up on teasing him.

She guessed she would have to get over the fact that they were all in bathrobes. Looking down at herself, she felt quite out of place. Baggy jeans, t-shirt, and her messy short blonde hair. Nothing like the two tall, dark, and beautifuls in bathrobes. She tried to keep her mind off of it.
"It's alright, I'm sorry for yelling," she apologized. Gavin's eyes perked up for breakfast. He wanted some of Haki's food! He pulled on Mommee's arm, signaling he wanted to stay for breakfast.
"Breakfast sounds wonderful. Thank you for offering," she smiled, still slightly embarrassed from her explosion earlier. Gavin 'yay'd and ran over to Haki.
"Where your room?" he asked her. It was only fair that she showed him hers.

Haki beamed. "I show you!" she said, nodding her head. Looking up at Marc and deciding that the three of them could be left alone, she led the way to the master bedroom.
"It pretty." she wanted to show her room off too! And bring down all the toys that looked like the froo froo rabbit. Yes. And then she could play princess against, except this time for real!
Marc smiled, seeing her eyes move. He wasn't a mindreader, but it didn't take one to notice that it was about clothing.
"I have another spare bathrobe, if you want." he offered, moving swiftly out of the way to walk into the kitchen.
"Waffles?"

Shaking his head with amusement, now there was only a slight tint of red to his face as he followed into the kitchen. Waffles, hm? Well, he never ate much in the mornings anyway...but he could eat something, to keep Marc from mothering him if nothing else.
"You have milk, don't you?"
That had given him pause for a moment, as Marc didn't really seem the sort to drink milk. Even in the mornings.
At least it looked like Haki and Gavin were going to occupy each other.

Woah, Haki's room was soo much larger than his own. And all the toys! She had so many more things than he did. He'd always thought his room was the best, but maybe this wasn't the case.
"Favrit toy?" he asked. He showed her his rabbit, so he wondered what her favorite was.

Remi coughed, trying to hide her surprise at Marc's statement. What was he implying? Though her eyes were much wider, she tried to ignore that statment.
"Waffles would be nice," she said very slowly. At least Hadrian wasn't throwing semi-suggestive comments around. Milk was definitely not suggestive at all. She liked non-suggestive. But why would Marc say that? Her face was turning red again.
