"Well, it isn't so simple as that. There are many complex spells that would have to be done, but I'm afraid they can't be done while we're traveling. I wouldn't want anything to go wrong. I think it would be more important right now if we just kept going until we get to the cat-people." She walked easily, at a quick pace, hoping that Kei wouldn't be uspet that she had actually suggested helping the wild man.

Days pass and melt into weeks together. The group bonds relatively well as they reach closer to the border of The Dark Kingdom, until just ovr the next ridge, is a beautiful view of the wide expanses of darkened rolling hills and the outlying villages of Niyaha.
Hyper gets to the top of the ridge first and grins, calling back to the party, "Guys! We made it! Come look at this!"

"OOOOH" Wallace says, staring down from the ridge in awe. He cautiously begins climbing down the ridge.

"Hey! Wait up!" She starts sliding after him, watching her footing so as not to end up head-first. "C'mon Liyana! Your noble escorts're leaving you behind!"

Liyana rushes to catch up to the others so as not to be left behind. "Sorry about that, I was just helping a turtle whose shell was broken. I healed it with some magic." She was speechless as she came into view of the city. "Where do we go from here? Do you know where you're going?" she asked Kei.

She grins and keeps going, unable to stop really, down such a steep slope, "No clue!" blaugh

Liyana continued to slide rapidly down the slope, eventually passing both Kei and Wallace since she was so light. After landing with a thud at the bottom of the hill, she hoped that neither of her companions would land on top of her.

Hyper reaches the bottom with a graceful spin to cancel her momentum and lands in a short bow. "Ta-da! Swordplay really helps wth the fancy footwork, you know?"

Liyana tried not to look jealous as Kei landed beside her. "Of course. I thought everybody knew that already. Anyway, where are we now, and where are all these cat-people that are supposed to be here?"

Her sentence trails off as armored figures unbury themselves from the rocky sands around the adventurers. "Don't move. Are you Quitaho spies?"
"Wha--spies!? No! In fact..." Kei grins and gestures toward the elf, "She's an ambassador!"
"An ambassador?" One of the men who looks to be the group's leader pulls his hood from his head. The visage revealed really is that of a cat, but with more expression, able to show the full gamot of emotions. "I wasn't notified. Why is she not riding along the road, and if you are her bodyguards...why are you not wearing insignias of her kingdom?"
"Well...you see...er...long story?" Kei sighs.

Liyana elbows Kei in the side and whispers, "Ambassador!? Whatever gave you that idea?" But then she realized that she was still being watched so she straightened up and addressed the cat-people standing before her.
"I am indeed an ambassador, from a faraway kingdom. But I do not believe that the forest is the best place to tell such a long tale. Perhaps you could hear our story if you allow us to enter your kingdom. As an ambassador, I need to have words with the leader of your kingdom."

Kei chuckles as Liyana starts to speak. 'Oh yeah...I'm good.'
"What does Meatara want with Niyaha? Last I'd checked they cut off all ties with us 'uncivilized barbarians.'"

Liyana was confused by this statement. She herself still had no idea why they were there and why she was being an ambassador. The elven girl looked toward her two companions, hoping that one of them would help her out.

"Uhh. We must've had old intel or something because um...I didn't know that!" sweatdrop
The squad leader growls and gestures to his men. There're four of them, armed with spears, the leader himself holding a warhammer, "They're obviously liars, and probably thieves. I want the elf alive. Do what you will the humans." Two soldiers begin to advance on Liyana, one of each of the remainder walking to Kei and Wallace respectively. They have fanged grins on their faces, suggesting they haven't had any kind of fun in the last six months.
Kei growls. "Forget it! Die, pond scum!" Unsheathing her rapier, she blurs at the nearest spearman aggressively.
