"Of course the ca- Actually, I'm not sure what he thinks. He flirts with anything that moves."

"Wait...that would include the clock!"

"ZOMG!"
"...Still not quite sure why you'd stay with the Beast. Unless he's been supplying you with acid, which explains the whole talking furniture story."

True. And both stories are set in France, though I'm pretty sure different times and sections of the country.
But if the Beast ends up to be Raoul, what does that make Gaston (the vain hunter guy with the ugly sidekick)?

Would his name come from Gaston Leroux? He wasn't in the origanal, and if BatB is as similar to POTO as was already mentioned, then wouldn't it be a plausable reason?

I suddenly have a much higher appreciation for the Disney character "Gaston." He nearly killed Raoul! 3nodding

Naw, sweetie, BatB is an old fairy tale. I'm afraid the story is older then Leroux. Same basic story as POTO, though: Ugly dude falls for cute chick and she eventually gets over the whole 'ugly' thing. Gaston is just a French men's name.

Well the original story doesn't have Gaston. Just Beauty and her several brothers and sisters. The moral of the story was virtue and the contents of the heart were more important than beauty and physical attributes.

But Gaston is a very common French name.

Exactly. Leroux's first name was simply like...er...what's a common name for guys today? Let's go with...Alex. It was as common, just more fun to say.

Or Mohammed, really. That's the most common name on earth anytway. XD But I guess "John" would work.

What? I said "Alex"! Eh, so is "Michael"................(the ... is for me spacing at the mention of Michael..still obsessed with McErik.)

Well I was giving a more common name. Alex isn't as common as John. *shrug*

In general. Some names are more common than others in certain areas, but the mediocrity of the name on a larger scale (i.e. country-wide) is much greater.

Oh, that makes more sense. Hey, don't expect stuff like that coming out of my posts, I'm only 13...I'm not that supergenius-ish. Unlike this guy I know, we call him an "Idiotic Supergenius". That's what you get for probing my mind.. razz

Age never really has relevance to how much one knows, really. Maturity, maybe. Intelligence? No.

But, we learn new things every day.

True. I've learned that you always make sense, Uta, at least to me anyway, and that my posts only make sense to me, sometimes.
