darkphoenix1247 The funny part is, I actually don't know. I picked up a bunch of things randomly, but was never actually told, "____ means *****" :XP: Rather silly, I know. sweatdrop You're not alone ninja ... I learned that way too xd .

Do you have anything particular that you would like to work on? For example, I think it would be cool to help blind people see or deaf people hear. 3nodding

Because I cannot imagine the emptiness one would feel at not having a sense. To help a blind person see would be incredible; the same goes for helping a deaf person hear. It would be a whole new world to them, and I would be honored to help them see/hear it.
Plus, I have horrible vision myself; I know how hard it is not to be able to see- I didn't get glasses until 4th grade even though I had 20/300 vision back then. rolleyes
(luckily, now I have contacts ^^)
or the even simpler answer: "why not?"

I don't think it's right that people have to suffer like that. sweatdrop

darkphoenix1247 xp I don't believe I know what that is, so I don't have a clue. sweatdrop That was the whole point xd . If someone LOST their sight, then they know what the sense actually is, and what it feels like, so when they loose it, they feel pain at the loss of a sense... But if someone was born without the sense, no matter how much you try to describe the sense to them, they just cant' sense it, or a feel a loss of the fact they don't have it. That's because they don't know what they are missing... just like if someone was gonna try and describe magnetism feelings xd . Do you feel bad you can't feel it? No! xd

I was thinking of this article I read in Scientific American about how animals can do things in relation to sensing the earth's magnetic fields, and how it keeps changing and everything, which negatively effects them. My bad; I feel smart... sweatdrop But still- there are people who have had senses taken away from them, and I know how hard it would be to get used to that. And forgot another thing- I want to help paralyzed people if possible. That would definitely stink to not be able to move; you would just sit there your whole life. (I know somebody who was paralyzed in a car accident, which wasn't even his fault; stupid drunk drivers. stare ) My ultimate goal is helping with cancer, but then again, I doubt I will actually do any of these things; just dreams. sweatdrop In the meantime, I'll think about what I can do or try to do realistically. sweatdrop

I used to be part of a group that would help blind and vision impaired people 4laugh . They were all really nice people... but the group broke up... crying .
Many of them were incriedible. One of them knew the whole bible by heart, and another one knew the multiplication table of 100x100 xd . Increidible 3nodding .

My dad is trying to solve diabetees and heart attacks. I can't wait 'till I can contribute to the world 3nodding . cancer is just the body's way of expiring. things only have a certain amount of shelf life. cancer is also an effect of aging, ie the detiriation of genetic material. to truly "cure" cancer, one would have to "cure" aging. anything else is just protection, prevention, or suppression. not a cure. diabetes and heart disease are usually the result of lifestyle, aren't they? i mean, they aren't diseases that one "catches", or inherits (neccessarily).
