I just learned something interesting. Most of you, I assume have the language bar si you can type right? Well I just figured this out but with the option that you can write the kanji and search for them, when you pull the ting up to use that option (the little pen with a black tail) instead choose 画 and you can search for a kanji based on strokes and radical. I found this cool because it shows the kanji, a radical and then kun and on yomi in kana. So you can teach yourself. But I don't know how to make the book bigger...
Just thought I'd share that because maybe not all of you knew that option. I just learned that and how to get づ ぢ ゎ ょ ゅ ゃ ぉ ぇ ぅ ぁ っ without tpying it in. I could do them but now I can razz

I knew about that. It makes it so much easier to do things. I usually type in kana though, so it takes me a while because I have to memorize where each character is.

I prefer just typing normally and letting the computer put it up and let's me choose the kanji.

Hey!
I decided to try and fix this up so this time I'm using Kana to make it easier and you'll learn and understand this better with this new way BUT I made an easier way, a table with microsoft word so if you're interested, PM me your email and if you want it and I'll send you it. I only finished grade 1 though because I only know half of grade 2 so sweatdrop not done that yet.

Since I am largely computer retarted, here is the link to my yahoo photo site that I stuck the Iroha Kana chart on. Iroha poem and hetaiganasIf this works, I'll do a more through explaination, but basicly the chart contains the kanji or "kanbun" text that the poem was originally written in and the hiragana forms that evolved out of them due to brush-stroke changes. Most of the kanji are phonetic derivations from the onyomi (chiese readings) and others come from native Japanese readings or mutations (i.e. き is read 幾in kanji form). Also, note the archaic kana ゐ (wi) and ゑ (we). The grammar is all classical and is a little to difficult to explain here. I wouldn't even attempt reading this until you have at least 3-4 years of college Japanese and a good classical text class under your belt.

Well I have decided, as you can clearly see, to restart this BUT using kana to make it easier because I noticed some mistakes that I had but never knew. I see the faults in learning with roumaji though I'm buying many resources and some of kana so that's good wink and with my computer which I end up typing up what I learned I can find the faults and post them here!
I will post the kanji that I have learned already so as you can see, there are 166 kanji here and I think this will be good enough for you for now. It may take a while for those of you who do not know kanji, and yeah, when you do you can guarantee that you'll be able to read more texts! Especially names!
Thank you!

PS: Thanks to the 20/23 people who voted yes this helps, it really makes me feel better!
And to the 3/23 that voted no I don't really care because you probably have good reason like you know these already so! Yeah!! biggrin Thanks all!
So you know, not every day or week will I post more kanji up because I am reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally busy and I have little time to do anything. Like sleep! crying
Wanna see my schedule? biggrin
School- 9:00 am-3:15 pm, school work varies, can be from 1 to 4 hours :O or more.
Work- not hired yet but I'll find out soon, if anything though I'm getting A job and I plan to work 15-16 hours a week.
Yearbook- Student Life Head, lots of stuff, organizing when to have meetings, and doing the work for the due dates
GSA- started by yours truly, we're getting a lot of power for the school but a lot of work, we're planning to add sexual orientation into our SEX.ED curiculum for those taking P.E especially for grade 9. And more is being added.
So on top of that, I have lots of stuff and more, so expect every week to 2 weeks to get at least a few to add here.
Byes!
