Niki had been sleeping until a certain youngster that she was hardly seen without stamped loudly past the room she was in. Groaning, the girl dragged herself out of bed, sloppily making her bed quickly to avoid the matron, who would make her do it properly. She tugged on the slightly different outfit they had gotten as a sign that they had grown up into children. Cramming her feet into her shoes, the girl pulled her hair up into untidy pigtails and rushed out to find her friend before getting scolded by a matron over her appearance.
"Tali!" Grinning, the girl nearly tackled the boy, acting as if she hadn't seen him for years instead of the several hours it had been instead.

Tali smiled at the girl, "Morning." He glanced longingly at the door as one of the Matron's, alerted by the noise walked into the hall. A wide yawn split her face. "001, 006. You're up early."
Taliesin turned to answer her brushing dark hair from his face. Instead he caught sight of a barrelling form sliding down the stairs. Bracing himself he smiled apologetically at the Matron.
Despite his preparations Tali was nearly knocked off his feet as Nikiana used him to check her speed. "Morning Niki.."

Grinning, Niki replied to Taliesin's greeting with her own cheerful 'Morning!'. She glanced over her shoulder at a small sound and caught sight of the matron behind her. The woman took in the girl's appearance in the matter of moments and, sighing, shook her head. Why should she even bother anymore?

Taliesin glanced around for a moment, wondering where the other two were. He wouldn't mind Vincent missing out on it but Parmida was nice enough. "Wanna try?" He asked Niki slyly, certain the other young kid would understand what he was getting at.
((I'm going to say they're about 5-6 now. And I'm going to combine this with something for the Fourth. I've got to run to work but I'll edit this and put it in the thread as well.
EDIT: Alright, You're free to type up the various ways your characters will attempt to get outside the wall. The most creative, judged by Niki and I, will get a free pet/familar that we put up. I'd like all the submissions written *before* the Fourth as there's going to be a special IC event. And you will get an item from that! Entries need to be posted IC, ending ambigously. If you post you end up outside the wall your character will not win... No matter what. Have fun! (Niki and I won't post interference nor will we be entering. If you don't win you can buy one at the shop after the event). ))

Nikiana's face was blank for a whole 3 seconds before it burst into a rather large grin. Need Tali really even ask her? Her mind started churning, thinking of various different ways that they may possibly succeed at what they were going to try and do.

Selma watched the pair as they talked, wanting to get involved in the conversation and find out what they were planning. Her shyness, however, kept her standing where she was. She popped her thumb in her mouth as a method of curbing her anxiety, a habit that the matrons were trying to break her of now that she was no longer considered a toddler. Her eyes traveled to the matron, to make sure she wasb't watching, and was pleased to see her concentrating far more on Niki's wild appearance.

Vincent stood around the corner listening to the conversation. Indeed, they were plotting something. He knew they had to be. Tali was always getting into some mischief and Niki happily followed along. Occasionally they dragged another child into the fray and once in a blue moon they'd bring Vincent along. Vincent guessed he liked Niki, she was nice and had odd hair and the other kids weren't bad but Tali just grated on his nerves. He wait and watch and follow from a distance. It was amazing how good he was at doing that.

The Matron shook her head ruefully before heading up the stairs to inspect the rooms. Doubtless they would be as messy as always.
Tali turned to Selma, the sly expression muting it's self slightly for shy girl. "Do you want to try too? We can make it a contest. Whoever gets outside the wall first wins. I'll even give them one of the bugs I found." He wheedled gently.

She looked at Tali blankly for a moment, before turning and watching the departing matron. Seeing that the woman hadn't overheard, she turned back to Tali and pulled her thumb out of her mouth, the corners of her lips turning up in a shy smile.
"Okay," she said quietly, happy to be included in the game. She wasn't entirely sure she wanted to risk getting in trouble by climbing over the wall, but maybe it would be fun?

Parmida yawned as she finally woke up, and tumbled out of bed, dragging half the covers with her. She grumbled to herself for a few minutes while she untangled herself before she got up and searched for something to wear. She then trundled down the stairs in search of the others. She paused at the sight of the Matron, made a few discreet brushing motions upon herself, and then joined the others. She darted a look at the Matron before she whispered a question, "So what we doing today?" Tali and Niki always came up with the best of plans, and they had the entire day now! She just hoped this one wasn't one that got them in trouble...

Vincent's keen ears picked up the phrase from his hiding spot. Outside the wall? This was more daring than usual. Vincent's expression melted into a wicked grin. He could just see the look on Tali's face if he did it first. He could beat Tali, he could beat any of the others, but Tali was his number one concern. Vincent stealthily slipped out from behind the door he was behind and took the long way towards the front door of the dorm. The matrons naturally assumed he was going to play and smiled as he passed. Vincent did his best impression of the others and flashed them a darling, heart melting smile; the matrons smiled back and waved as he paseed. Even at such an early age Vinny knew how to decieve. Everyone thought he was such a darling... well, everyone but, perhaps, Tali. Now, how would he get outside the walls? He knew there was one gate and occasionally he saw traders go in and out of it but never towns people and he could never see outside the gate. It was if they had it protected somehow so noone could see in or out... see what they might be missing. Vinny wanted to see. He had to see it because he wasn't supposed to and that meant it was great. He knew there had to be something bigger... there was a reason they were seperated from the other children in the town and got to wear colors... maybe he'd find out outside.

Talisen smiled at Parmida. "Oh...We're just going outside... the wall. I've got a bug for the first out! But come on. Let's go before someone tries to stop us." The dark haired kid nudged Nikiana to lead the way.

Parmida's eyes got rather large and round at that first statment. "Out..." she squeaked, before she caught herself, glanced at the Matron, and lowered her voice as she went to catch up with them. "Outside? As in, outside the city walls? But what if there's... mo..mo... monsters out there?" She looked frighten, having remembered tales her last caretaker had told her. She stood there for a moment before the rest sank in, and she saw everyone leaving without her. She snuck a quick glance at the Matrons as she discreetly hurried to catch up. Darn it if she didn't get a bug!

Selma silently followed the others, still clinging to her stuffed rabbit. She was nervous about breaking the rules, but the matrons had told her that she needed to play with the other children more. So by going with them she was doing what she had been told to do, right?

Parmida continued to follow Tali and Niki, not really knowing where the wall itself really was. She hoped the other two knew. She hoped there was dirt outside, so that even if she wasn't the first outside the wall, she could still find a bug out there... if she got out. Speaking of which... How was she to get outside those walls... She bent her mind towards figuring that out as her feet continued to move her foward...
