"From what I remember, yes... they have grown a little bit in strength. I don't know when he was sired, but there maybe a new one from what you'd remember. Was Iden sired when you were here," she asked him, wondering if he knew the runt of the clan. Most knew him as 99 though as the runt was a merc and still did some of it as 99, not using his real name when he worked.
El had noticed the way he was trying not to look at her now he spoke about one he reminded her of, a small smirk came to her as she heard his words. Shaking her head, she ran a hand through her black hair while she thought about his words. A few moments of silence would go by before she'd finally respond to him. "Sometimes people have to fight their own battles on their own. And your story wont change my mind on relying on another, Valdris... The only time I've relied on another for help was when I needed their strength to help me. I've yet to find something that makes me lean one another's arm to help me through a crisis," she told him with a shrug then letting her hand drop to her side now. The way she spoke should tell him she had her mind made up and wouldn't let someone try to he help her. She didn't need help of another, she was fine on her own and would always be such in her eyes. It would be hard to change the elf's stubborn views, but maybe possible.. but it'd be quite hard to do.

"heh... so she is recruiting now huh? Amazing, it will be more amusing once base of operations is running again. Corbin is really my main target... lets just say we have a bit of a past him and I."
Valdris smirked as his voice got excited. Real power. I man that he considered his equal and wanted to have his head to bring to his God. Something that he needed to let the kid know before he made any rash moves. He has also herd as well that the woman Sasha returned to the world as well. How refreshing would it be to hunt the woman down. Taste her pure blood down his ashen lips.
Valdris's evil smile curled into a vicious grin. The sadist loved to see most in misery. Especially his enemies mostly. He shook the feeling off as he looked at her. A part of him was ashamed as he felt the dark aura flow through him. It was the dark blood of Stalfos. How he awaited when he find the relic to awaken his spirit as well.
"Sometimes you have to rely on the things you can't. Isn't there a strong male elf to watch over you?"
He was prying, that was no mistake. His words had a slight bit of hope to them. Not that he has time for interests but it been awhile since he really spoke to someone. Talked to them and felt... human. Even if his thoughts were dark and twisted. He was still and elven creature under the demon skin.

Not missing a step, the elf's lips tightened slightly into a hard line as she looked up at Valdris' out of the corner of her eye. "Why the General?" she questioned him, wondering what it was that the beast had done this time to upset someone. It seemed he always had a new enemy at his back, not that she doubted he could handle himself. For now... she'd do the same he was doing to her, searching for information and trying to find out what'd happen to her in all of the mess.
Eltoas was too occupied in her own thoughts to truly notice his tone or that grin that was on his lips. She barely even noticed his tone had softened and turned to more friendly one when he replied to her comments on not needing anyone. His question took her by surprise as she raised an eyebrow once again before smirking faintly. "Suggesting a woman needs a man to keep them safe?" she asked him before laughing faintly.
Turning her eyes and attention back to the old dirt road, she studied the land before them before giving a slight nod. "There's a run down bar up head, Val... we can stop in there for food and drink. There should be at least one vacent room if you'd wish to shower and search for some clothing while I get some food," she suggested to him. She didn't really care if he did or not, but she figured he may want to clean the rest of the goo off of his body and get more then a sheet around his body.

Sure enough, just as El had stated there was an old, run down tavern ahead of them, and as they would come over the next hill, they'de find themselves staring ahead at the afore mentioned structure. Something however, was off. Upon closer inspection, the pair would notice the dirt road they walked had been freshly stirred. A conciderable number of persons had marched through here, and the footsteps led to the tavern ahead. As they would grow closer, the smell of blood, and burnt flesh, among the more common scents that came with fire would accost their noses. Finally, they would notice the blood smeared on the walls, broken windows, and door of the tavern.
Barely still sizzling blackened piles of ash settled on the ground around the outside, and then, there was the thunderous bang of a pistol, and not a small one. Standard either to the trained ear. Moments later, the door swung open, and ten 'men' marched out from within the tavern. Garbed in military fatigues complete with armored vests, utility backpacks and belaklava masks they look every bit prepared for what ever had taken place here minutes ago.
Falling into two lines of five at either side of the door, each holding their rifles but the butts and resting against their shoulders, katanas sheathed at their hips, they raised their right hands to salute, as the door opened once more. Smoke at first billowed out thick and black, though faded out almost immediately as it had started, inside, a corpse was reduced to ashes in a mere moment.
From the smoke, a figure appeared, spurs at the heels snapping with each step. Garbed in an obsidian skin tight vest sporting a scarlet ankh over the torso, an equally scarlet vest with a high fur colar, and leather raven jeans with thick fur cuffs at the ankles. Golden adornments from head to toe, the creature gave a flick to the brim of his officers cap, a tug downward on the bandana over his forehead under the hat, and lit the cigar between his lips.
"All Mekhet agents accounted for, and dealt with, lord."
"Thats fine Captain."
Two more figures emmerged behind the first as the smoke that had escaped from within completely faded now into the air, both comeing to crouch at either side of the first, the three looking back at the building and ten Ghouls.
"Lord DeSeer, your new orders?"
Corbin, accompanied by a pair of his Xenomorph pets, the Alien like creatures with hides of obsidian, long cylidrical skulls and vertebrae like tails with blades at the end, though they were his own creations. Monsters he had crafted from the bodies of Garou and manipulated to follow his every command without fail.
The Cerulean monster that was the young DeSeer lord gnawed idly on his cigar, before addressing the query made by his captain.
"Its not likely anymore Mekhet will come to use this place as a safe house. They know we know of it, and will assume we know of the others. This, will light a fire under their tails. They'll either begin to mobilize, or fall back to safer borders for a time. Either way works for us. We have managed to bleed, and burn a number of their scouts and informants today. I know now where they consider safe borders to fall back to. If they mobilize, we will beat them back and put an end to their horrid little anti-sect uprising. If they fall back, they will find us there. Waiting."
"Sir, yes sir. Will that be all for today sir?"
"For today. You are all excused, your regular roster is now back in effect until further notice. Those of you rostered on for patrols will take one hour to break, and then commence your patrols. The rest, have a good evening."
"SIR!"
With that, Corbin and his company made way to the rear of the building, where the sound of engines could be heard, before a superbike raced off, followed by what looked like a pretty standard truck. Though in the back of the oversized van, the small group of Ghoul soldiers, and Xenomorphs rested. Hidden from the publics eyes.

Valdris gave a smile to her as he walked along the roadside. He gave a moment to listen to her words as he gave a slight grin. "Are you ashamed to have a man protect you? Even so ashamed that the person you care for is protected. Matters not if one if male or female."
He stopped for a moment as he felt his body shudder slightly. The land known demons but his presence would be best announce when the time he saw fit. He whispered something under his breath as he took his nail and pressed it into his soft flesh of his palm. The blood dripped on the ground and the smell was vile. Blood seemed stale in Valdris's body as his hand pulled back and seemed to tear into the realm itself. A rip that became visible only cause it showed darkness behind the rip he made with his hand. It looked as if he had a piece of paper and teared it from the center. Except this paper was the appearance right before her. He reached into another part of the realm the place called the Umbra. It was a dangerous place to go but it sometimes was safer then this one he resided in. Though it helped to store things when he needed thing. He just hoped his belongings were still there.
With that he took his hand reaching into the darkness, pulling almost out of thin air, a large cloak. He sealed the rip with a wave of his hand and tossed the cloak over him.
"Some might not take to kindly to my appearance. As for the b*****d child DeSeer. He is perhaps has some dealings with my family. We don't take kindly to those who abandon the family line let alone pretend what they are not. That is really all I am going to say on the matter."
He nodded to her as she mentioned the bar but he started to feel uneasy. His eyes started to watch about him as the feeling of safety faded and the smell of blood other the the vileness of his own intoxicated his nostrils. It sent a shiver down his back knowing that the taste of blood could be his in moments. The other part of him knew that perhaps the Tavern that she spoke of might not have been attacked or someone injured near by. Whatever happened made him feel excited as well as worried. Even the basic spell as reaching into the Umbra was difficult. His powers were not entirely granted but just yet. He would have to wait and hopefully whatever was ahead of them would leave them alone for now.
" Something is not- " the soft echo of a shot was heard in the distance. The sound echoing out to them sound faint but still they could hear it.
"Eltoas, I may not want to be seen even more so... Perhaps you should stick to the woods and follow along side the road...." He spoke slightly uneasy about the sudden sound.

Her ears twitched uneasily as she heard his words about her being ashamed to let someone watch over her. It wasn't that she felt ashamed that a loved one was watching her persay, it was the thought that it portrayed she was a weakling and needed someone to take care of her. "I don't need someone to watch my back, lover or friend," she told him, smirking slightly at him. "I'm not as weak as most would think of me," she told him with another shrug. As with him, most people would assume because of their lithe bodies they were weaklings and couldn't fight well, but that wasn't anywhere near the truth of the matter...
Shivering slightly herself, she could feel the evil that came from the Umbra as he opened the portal to the plane and started to drag something out of it. Her eyes stayed on the spot of where his hand went into it, as if she couldn't draw her eyes away for anything. She knew it wasn't just a simple planar pocket... but another plane from what she felt, but she didn't know which one. She couldn't see it, but even if she had been able to do such, she wouldn't know which one still.
Her eyes finally moved from the other when she heared the shot then the loud roaring noise of a bike. She knew the sound of that bike and didn't object when he spoke about walking in the woods. Though... the woods was for his benefit then her own. She still had some questions for him before she let him get near Corbin. "What does he pretend he isn't?" she asked him while grabbing his hand and starting to lead him away from road and closer to the woods nearby. "I'm not going to leave you to walk on your own and not answer my questions," she told him with a grin before he could ask why she was dragging him with her to the woods.

Valdris felt her hand wrap about his and he felt his heart suddenly stop. She held it so care free that it seemed to not bother her. Even after his hands feeling inside the world of the Umbra. She held it nicely as she pulled him away from the road. Then it finally hit him.
She was too curious as his hand slowly pulled away from hers. He still followed her as his eyes narrowed slightly at her.
" Corbin DeSeer is a link to the families. Our anccestors were born from the Demon God and his blood was given to each of kin. Then the demon God's son slept with the purest of females. Thus the firestarter Clan exsisted. They all have the mark of the upside down cross on there body. The clan is a abonidnation that needs to be eleminated... He pretends to be a pure blood when he is really not. "
His eyes glared more at her as his hands closed tightly around his fingers creating a fist.
" I hope you are no spy Eltoas.... I do not like being desieved. Nor being made a fool of. Though I am kind I can be ruthless and cruel. I hate for you to see that side of me..."
He gritted his teeth a bit hoping she was no spy for the DeSeers. Then he would feel the need to remove her pretty elven head if that were the case. He felt as if he was uneasy from the whole ordeal. The smell of blood scented the air and he felt his vision blur as he waited for her to respond.

Feeling his hand pulling away, she paused in her steps to turn and look back at him. She remained quiet as he explained their ancestors and what had happened, as far as she remember there was no such mark on Corbin.. but his body has changed quite often, too. Hearing his words, she snorted and raised an eyebrow at him before resting her own hands on her hips. "I am no spy. What you've told me will not leave my lips, you told me personal things to me and I'm not the type to gossip or spy on people," she told him before shaking her head again.
"I was merely hoping to gather enough information to figure out what this is about and try to help both sides. Corbin is my friend, just as you are. I don't want to see either one hurt or injured over what maybe a simple mistake," she told him, speaking openly and honestly to him before looking into the distance where the tavern was. "Why do you think I was leading you away from the Tavern? If I wanted you dead, I'd took you straight to him or even sent him a message that you were with me," she told him before turning her eyes to look up at him once again. "As for the mark on their bodies? I don't recall seeing such a thing on him... Nor do I know much about his family ties," she went on to tell him.

Valdris was taken back for a moment. She was a friend of his and yet made things worse. Still he took back the sadness and stuck it deep down inside himself. He would use her if need be...
" I'm sorry Eltoas.. I been away so long. Corbin once was the son of Sasha Firestarter. I do not know much more then that. The information in the book of fates only had that she had a son."
He looked at her questionably as his eyes soften a little. He couldn't understand why she didn't turn him in.
"Why not turn me in to him?"
Valdris stood there for a moment. He wasn't sure why she protect him either. Though another question that annoyed him was how she see all of his body. He shook the thought off realizing it was known of his business how she knew what and what wasn't on him. Still the thought of her being friends with an enemy he was suppose to collect made him a bit nervous.

"That name does not sound familiar to me," she told him with an apologetic smile. She could look into it and find out if Corbin was really her son or if it was another son that he spoke of... but then another thought struck her. "Wait... how old is Sasha's child," she asked him, a strange question.... but it maybe the answer she needed to find out if Corbin was truly the one he was after or not.
Hearing his question, she tilted her head to the side before shrugging and taking step towards him while letting her hands fall from her hips. "I don't betray friends... I'll warn Corbin that someone believes he's Sasha's son and seeks to kill him, but I wont help him kill you or you him. After the warning... I'll stay as neutral as possible or try to change your mind on your task," she told him, biting on her lip slightly. She knew she'd catch hell for this from Corbin... and it maybe risking things with her, but she had to try and help both of them.
((I'll be back 6ish EST. I gotta go to work and some errands first. >.o Sorry. ^^" ))

Valdris sighed as he realized that he put her in a bit of a spot as well. His smile returned as he continued to walk past her. His hands on the back of his head stretching out his chest.
"Corbin is the son of Sasha. A past he chooses to have or not is really up to him. I learned right before I left this realm to give or take away the cursed blood. If he wishes I could always draw out his mothers blood like a poison. Though what fun would that be?"
He looked back at her a chuckled, " Besides what makes you think I will not harm you hm?"
He was toying with her slightly. He really wouldn't harm her. She was too kind and even as one pure as her. He couldn't harm a hair on her. Something inside her made him stop and think for a moment. She was alot like Nairika, something he swore he never forget.
"..... If it helps you may tell him whatever he wants to hear. Tell him the time of Blood is coming. If he wishes to claim his family do so in a months time. That will be when the families come together. I advise you might want to stay inside at night when my kind start coming to call."

Following her friend, El fell into step at his side while leading him into the woods. Ducking or holding the branches away from her body or head, El was also careful about any holes in the ground. "More fun for Corbz, I'm sure," she replied with a smirk and a gentle shake of her head. She was starting to wonder if she maybe able to change his mind about this with time... or at least convince him to not harm him any more then was needed to do whatever it was he needed to do. At his question, she grinned even more before ducking under yet another low laying branch. "If you would, you'd done it already when you learned of my ties... unless of course, you believe to use me as a spy against him," she asked him, turning it around on him now, but it was clear she was teasing him. She didn't think he could or even would harm her, but it was just a feeling and one she was going with.
"You think I'm scared of what goes bump in the night," she asked him with another soft laugh. She thought it was cute that he was worried about her safety, but she didn't doubt that she could handle herself against any would be attackers. "Do you have a place to stay at, or do you believe your family's old place is still standing," she questioned him then finally looked back ahead of them.

He placed an odd smile on his face as he watched her. She was teasing him of course which made him want to go after her a bit. The deer teasing the hungry lion was a game Valdris was always ready to say. Though she was right about one thing. He would use her for information on Corbin when he saw fit as she would use information from him to give to Corbin. He already revealed too much as is. A mistake he would not make again.
Valdris pulled the cloak's hood over his head to his the horns slightly as he continued his smile.
" I will not use you as a spy, but granted the information that you give me might be useful. As for things that bump in the night. I doubt my family would have the guts to harm you after all you have done for me."
A thought struck his mind on how much he would enjoy to see her in the dark skin completion. The thought of turning her blood so she would be part of the Darken Family made Valdris shiver. Still he could not do it against the will. The ritual didn't work that way. She had to do it with her free will and that was something that would take time. Time that Valdris had for now and could wait.
" I believe you can handle yourself..."
He paused for a moment giving a slight sigh in his voice, " I will need at least 2 days rest before I rebuild my families home. The creation of this place is more of for protection then shelter. It has many things to it that make it special. When it is done I would gladly take you to visit and you would be allowed to come and go as you please."
Corbin was going to be a problem, that much Valdris knew. The smell of him was in the air and probably what she said was right. He was in that village and right now he had no clue as of yet Valdris was here. An advantage that would soon be let out. Corbin had been training and his powers were full potential. Valdris was still dealing with being transfered to the other side of the realm. His magics absorbing Gaia herself feeling out it's meaning. Magic became complicated when it came to traveling to other realms.

Noticing his hood being pulled up, she shook her head slightly at him and reached up to gently tug on it, but not pulling it down yet. "We're too deep into the woods and if he comes in here.. he'd probably ask you take your hood down anyways, curious who I'm traveling with," she told him, letting her hand drop from his shoulder once again. It was his choice on the matter, but she didn't see a point of it being up.
"As I said, I'm not scared or worried about it," she told him, grinning still at the thought of how she should be worried. She had probably faced worse things then his family in the night, but she still didn't know his full power nor what his family was capable of doing. Hearing his words of her handling herself, she nodded and smirked faintly. "Good, I can and will," she repeated.
Hearing his sigh, the elf turned to look back up at him once again before tilting her head to the side. "That's a nice offer, thank you," she told him, agreeing to go and at least visit if not staying for a day or two there with him. "For now we can stay at another tavern until you get your strength back," she said, practically telling him, he wasn't going to be out of her sight until she was sure he was able to take care of himself again. She was curious of what kind of protection magics would be used in his family's house, but didn't want to make him feel like she was gaining more information for Corbin or trying to plan an attack for the General either... she was just merely curious from the aspect of being a magic user herself.

He paused for a moment returning the hood back down upon his shoulders. He couldn't help but think how lucky he was to meet someone like her. The smell of the fresh forrest air. The smell of blood fading as they headed in a new direction. The place changed a lot since he had been here. Mostly more tree's more creators from battles maybe. Who knows what things he might meet or even see when they traveled together.
"Heh it be nice to sleep in a warm bed let along a nice hot bath to relax in as well. It been ages since I been in a steam bath. I can't wait."
