Larxene peeked out from behind the bookshelf she was hiding behind. She'd used her speed to race all the way around the stacks to come up behind Sora, intending to surprise him. Her plans quickly changed when she saw him investigating the book, however. She clapped a paw over her mouth to keep from giggling too loudly and waited to see what his reaction to the Marquis' favorite leisure activities would be. The girl was more than a little curious; he seemed awfully innocent, but this would be an interesting test to see how true that was.

Sora took a deep breath. Okay, time to actually see what was on these pages. First turn, title page, nothing interesting there, next page. Still nothing, just a bunch of notes. Boooooring. Then the real first page caught Sora's eyes, instantly his eyes widened. So -that- is what this book was. That explains everything. With every page turn Sora's eyes widened more and his face got more and more flushed. He closed the book with a snap after about ten pages. Sora understood the basic concept of the book, but everything in it seemed a tad...extreme, and he had only seen ten pages! What more could be in this book?! How could someone make a book so long about, -this-? Shaking his head he resolved that he wouldn't look at the book again for a while. There was a long pause. Okay, maybe a peek at the end of the book couldn't hurt. Opening it up again, to one of the later pages, he gawked and snapped the book shut again. Oh yeah, definatly not going to tell Larxene he looked.
...LARXENE! Sora had completely forgot! "L-Larxene where did you go?!" He looked around frantically to find his lost friend.

The girl wouldn't be too hard to find, as she was doubled over and snorting with stifled laughter about a dozen paces behind him in the aisle. "Your face ... so priceless...." she gasped between her laughter. "Ooo especially at the eennnnnnnd... I'm sorry ... I shouldn't have .... " Larxene abruptly dissolved into giggles again, wiping her eyes.

Sora's ears fell flat against his head as he heard her laughter. She was there the whole time. He fell to the floor. His prediction was right on, he had made a complete fool of himself. "It wasn't -that- funny Larxene." He set the book down next to him, the redness in his face was worse now then it was before.

Larxene sobered up some, brushing the remaining tears off her cheeks and stepping forward. "Aww, I'm sorry. I meant to just come up behind you to scare you and then I saw what you were doing and ..." Her tail swished a little as she thought about what she was saying. She wasn't in the habit of apologizing to people for teasing them. Seeing how upset she'd made Sora, however, made her want to make amends.
She knelt down beside him, picking up the book. "I'm sorry," she said again. "I shouldn't have done that to you. I was just curious. I wanted to see your reaction." The girl tilted her head a bit so she could look in in the face. "Forgive me?"

Sora tried to think of something to say. "Yeah well you...and..." nothing came out he could barely say anything. Everything she said made it worse in a way. That is until she knelt down next to him and apologized again. "It's okay I guess."
When he saw her face looking at him that close he realized she was sincere. However, this made him more nervous. "Y-yes, I forgive you." He moved his head back out of slight shock and he knocked his head against the book shelfs. He winced. "Oww!" The sharp corner of the shelf didn't seem to like him very much. He felt lower than a rock. "Not funnn..." he whimpered slightly.

"Oh! Watch your.." Larxene winced as he whacked his head on the shelf. "Head," she finished, cringing. She reached a paw out to rub his head gently. "Be careful now. It's supposed to be the monsters beating us up, right? Not the, erm, shelves." She stood up and stuck the offending book on a random shelf, then held her hand out again to help him up. "Come on. Let's keep looking around. Um .. that is if you still want to?"

Sora's ears twitched as Larxene rubbed where he had hit his head. "Yeah, your right. Unless this shelf is a monster!" He laughed lightly. Still not one hundred percent, but feeling better.
Sora took Larxene's hand. "Of course I still want to. What's something like that between friends?" His smiled returned as he stood up. Though, with a little slight of hand a his rather large side pockets he slipped the 'eye opening book' into his pocket while Larxene wasn't looking. Even if it made him nervous, he said he would carry it for her, and she -had- gone through all the trouble to find it in the first place. "Lets go."

Larxene smiled and nodded. "I promise no more running off either. It was just supposed to be a little game. I guess I'm just not used to being around other people anymore," she chuckled weakly. "I'm not even really sure how long I've been here. Isn't that weird? I don't really remember getting here or anything. Time seems to pass strangely in this place. Which is good, I guess. Otherwise it might have been really boring, even with all the books around. How long have you been here? D'you remember?"

Sora smiled back. "Good, it was kind of lonely without you being here. Plus it was kinda creepy." He laughed with her. "I really don't remember how I got here either. But as soon as I did I started looking for people I knew before, then I ran into you. Glad I did to, wandering around alone was boring." He blinked. How long has he been here? That was a good question. "I ... don't know when I got here. It seems like a while, but then again it kind of doesn't. Does that make sense?"

She nodded vigorously. "Yup, that makes total sense. I know exactly how you feel, really. Just I've been in the library mostly, instead of wandering around looking for people. The only time I really looked around was when I found that other guy with the key things .. keyblades. Raika? Retoo. Something like that." She chuckled a bit, "He and I didn't quite get along as easily as we seem to be. I haven't seen him since then, though. I'm pretty sure I've spotted the odd other person wearing a coat like this, though. Just haven't talked to 'em. That ... Reboo? guy had one too."

Sora blinked. Who the heck was Reboo? Reboo...Reboo...nope didn't ring any bells. Just goes to show how dense Sora is at times. "I don't think I know a Reboo. But they were wearing coats like that?" Sora blinked. The coat. She was...he knew it when he met her that she was a member of the Organization. But, there was just...it was...she was different then how the others had acted before. And he didn't remember her! Something must have happened. And he didn't want to know what it was. It might hurt himself to hear it, but worse, it might hurt her even more.
"Larxene can I ask a favor? Whatever happened that we don't remember, whatever it was. We will still be friends right? Please?" His ears folded down and his eyes seemed close to tears, though he didn't notice. "Will you promise?"

Larxene tilted her head to one side, looking worried as Sora abruptly got upset. She rested a paw on his arm again, nodding. "We can still be friends, I promise," she offered quickly, wondering what it was that brought this on. She thought back over what she'd just finished saying, trying to figure out what was troubling him. Abruptly, she looked down at herself.
"Is it the coat? I know they're not too fashionable, or colorful, but I don't have anything else on.... ummmm .... anything else to change into." It was apparently the girl's turn to blush this time.

Sora sniffled a bit. He'd hate to see a friend leave him because of something that happened in the past, Sora has had his fill of this.
Sora looked at Larxene and quickly turned his head. "N-no you look good...I mean the coat looks good! It's not the coat, it's uh. Well..." Sora shook his head. "I know a lot of other people who wear those coats, some of them were nice, some of them were just full of a lot of pain. Which they took out on the world. And I fought those people, I tried not to. But it just ended bad." He stared at Larxene. "I'm sorry I just kind of realized it myself...please don't hate me. Things are a lot different then they were, besides I don't remember ever having to fight you. So.......yeah. I guess that's really no different." He tilted his head, eyes still glossy from when he was near crying. "You promised we'd still be friends...are we?"

Larxene stared at Sora as he explained, eventually letting her gaze drift down to the coat again. So ... she was part of some kinda of ... group of people he'd fought before? And he said he'd fought monsters. Did ... was she a monster then?
The girl's forehead furrowed as she strained to remember any of this; anything that might suggest what he was saying was true. Little traces of memories floated around in her mind, as they'd done every time she'd tried to think back on her past since she'd arrived there (wherever there was). And like every time before, she failed to grasp any of them. Larxene sighed again, rubbing her head just behind her ears. "I don't remember anything like that. I don't remember ever having to fight anyone, let alone you. Though ... " she paused, producing a set of throwing darts from her pocket and looking at them. "If I'm not a fighter, why do I have these. Or the lightning thing...."
She frowned, looking upset but nodding her head anyway. "We'll still be friends, as long as you want us to be. As long as I'm not some kind of monster..."
