Ryou also looked outside to see darkness falling over the streets and the street lights flickering on. It was rather late now and he wondered if Jou wanted to go home..."You can go home if you want...I can watch over Malik..." he said softly. But the thought of being alone in a big house, with the thought that some suicidal ghost was now haunting him frightened him. But he wasnt about to make his friend stay against his own will. His light (and very wide) brown eyes looked towards the stairs. Did Malik even know where the bathroom was?

Malik watched Ryou.He didnt mean to scare him that badly.He watched for sometime,then came up behind Ryou on his knees,then hugged him as high as he could while on his knees,which wasnt very high,so he hugged Ryou around the stomach.

When Ryou felt someone on his legs his wide widened incredibly and now his face was much to white to be called normal. He gasped in a frightened tone and he quickly turned around to see if anyone was there. His eyes darting around until seeing Malik. Finally color went to his face again, but now turning a blushed red. He didnt exactly know what to do...so he asked the normal. "Malik...are..are you okay?" he asked nervously. He wasnt sure what to do...afterall there was a boy hugging him, thoughts of ghost's watching him, and the thought of Jou having to walk home alone...
He looked to Jou with this confused, and rather scared look in his light brown eyes...

(if im slow in posting,I have an evil cold.)
Malik looked up at Ryou.
"Uh..Ryou.."He began to slap his conscious silly,hating that nagging feeling that seemed to get him everytime he does something to Ryou.
"I made the sandwich.I didn't think you would think of ghosts..."He he muttered the last part,glaring at Jou.

Jou just blinked back at Ryou, his own eyes wide. So it had been Malik the whole time... that was good... but then, why was the Egyptian boy glaring at him like that? He looked down at the kneeling Malik and tilted his head, smiling a little nervously. "Well... uh, it's good that it was just you then... I think we were both getting little freaked out." He rubbed the back of his head and looked away, more than a little unnerved at the glare he was still recieving. He cleared his throat and started talking to Ryou, keeping his eyes on the kinder brown rather than the angry purple. "Uhm... do you mind if I use your phone?" he motioned to the phone cradle on one wall not too far from them. "I think my dad would like it if I called and told him where I was..." In reality though, Jou doubted that his father could care less where he was. At this point he just wanted to know if his old man was concious, out cold, or out of the apartment. If it was the latter, he still had time to spare. If not...

Ryou just continued to look at Malik nervously for a while until nodding. "Yeah...sure" his wide brown eyes went back to Jou and smiled nervously and went back to Malik "heh..umm thanks for the sandwhich...it was..good" he said in that same nervous tone. He felt uncomfortable and sort of wiggled in Malik's arms a bit. "You need to call your sister?" he asked Malik softly and finally managed to get away from the tan boy's grasp.
"She might be worried..." he said softly and smiled a bit, he pulled some white hair away from his eyes and looked around...makeing sure no ghosts were there.

((Heh, messed up on my last post ^^;.))
Jou smiled and nodded a thanks to Ryou before walking over the phone and punching in his home number. He closed his eyes and waited anxiously for the phone to stop ringing, glad that he was currently facing away from the other two in the room. No doubt that he looked a little nervous at the moment. 'It's kinda sad,' he thought to himself, 'when you can't call home without getting all worked up...' There was one ring... two rings... three rings... four... Jou sighed with relief and smiled a little. Sounded like nobody was ho-
"Yello'?" Jou froze. Dad was up. And by the sound of it he was out of it again. Which had to be a good thing, Jou reasoned, because he'd be less likely to act too agressively just yet. "Hey... dad." "... Who is this?" Jou winced, not only at the slur on his old man's voice but at the fact that he had to ask. "Katsuya... ya' know. You're son...?" "...Mm... right." There was the sound of something shifting, and then another pause. Jou shifted his feet uncomfortably. "Uh..." "Where're you?" Jou swallowed and rubbed the back of his head. "Friend's house. I might not be home for awhile... that's alright, right?" There was yet another pause. "..." "Dad?" "What? Oh, heh, yeah, just get back here... ya know, sooner or later." Jou sighed and thanked whatever god was watching for his father's more genial mood. "Kay', see you later then." "Yeah, yeah..." and then the the other end of the line went dead. Jou slowly placed the phone back in the cradle and turned around, running a hand through his hair. "All yours, if you want it," he said to Malik, straining a smile to appear on his face.
((Er, and just so people know... I'm not just making up the thing about Jou's dad and using it repeatedly. It's a fact from the show/manga that he's an abusive drunk, and so i'm sticking to the fact... alrighty? 3nodding ))

Ryou watched Jou silently, listining to him, as well as the room, the thought of ghosts still creeping him out. He looked towards Malik before walking back into the kitchen to finish the sandwhich he had so suddenly forgotten. But remembered with a loud growl from his stomach. He grabbed the plate and stood infront of the window in the kitchen area, chewing on his sandwhich. The stars glew brightly up ahead and the moon let its light hit the backyard grass and fence.
After a while he had finished his sandwhich rather quickly. He looked down as he bit nothing but air and saw he had eaten it all. He smiled a bit and turned the water back on, washing the crumbs and whatnot off, still looking towards the moon with some sort of awe...or fright.

Malik finally stopped glaring and whent pale slightly.
"I just remembered..sister and Odion left for egypt today.I was supposted to go with them,but I forgot.HOW IN RA'S NAME DID I FORGET MY SISTER AND FRIEND ARE GOING TO EGYPT!?"Malik screamed,then fell forward.He began to mutter in stress, pondering what to do.He marked a slash through a circle with "liveing to become 18" in his mind.
"Oh ra,Sister will kill me."He finally said,then continued to curse and mutter in egyptian.

'Whoa..." Jou blinked down at the figure on the floor, a little shocked. He quickly took the phone off of its cradle again and walked over to the paniking Malik, kneeling down a little ways in front of him and holding out the phone. He didn't get too close, remembering the look of contemptment that had been shot his way. "Hey, calm down man. Sooner you call your sister the better, right? At least that way she wont be worried sick about ya."

Ryou gasped, blinking out of his daze as he heard yells comeing from the other room. He almost broke the plate he was holding, but thank goodness it only clattered against the metal in the sink. He hurried into the living room and looked around and down at Malik. "Is...is everything okay?" he asked, his voice was quick and sounded out of breath. He then looked to Jou. He hadnt heard anything the boy had said...only yelling. He gripped his chest a bit and caught his breath finally but frowned still in worry.

Malik snatched the phone out of Jou's hand and dialed his home number,hopeing that they were still there.An animatronic voice came on the lne and said,
"This phone number could not be reached.The owner has probably changed their number or moved."Malik panicked slightly,then called his sisters cell phone.Another anamatronic voice.
"This cell phone is out of the calling distance."
Malik then sat there in shock.
"Why in ra's name would they leave without me?"
Malik growled,then put the phone down on the floor.He then put one of his hands on his forehead,closing his eyes tightly,to try and figure out what to do next.

Jou gave Malik a sympathetic look and then lifted his gaze up to Ryou. "Looks like Malik was supposed to go back to Egypt today... but his sis' and that friend of his must've left without him. That or... hey, maybe they're even out lookin' for him." He looked back at Malik with a little smile, hoping to cheer the boy up. "You never know... they might still be in town, right? Wait a little bit before ya' try calling them again..." Again, he looked up at Ryou, worry tinting the brown of his eyes. Malik seemed completely devestated by the whole thing... Jou wished there was something he could do, but he had no idea what that could be.

Malik glared at Jou through his bangs,but then closed his eyes again.
"Darn,I wish I could just hit that optimism of his.Its so annoying.."He thought,then spoke,"I some how doubt it."The lavender eyed egyptian muttered at Jou,then fell silent.

Ryou watched the two and frowned. "Oh no, I am sure Jou is correct. They might have just went looking for you...." he said softly. He looked to Jou again in puzzlement at the way Malik was acting. His light brown eyes filled with worry and he looked back to the egyptian. "I am sure they wouldnt just...leave...like that" he added hesitantly.
