Star_Lily Sepik Heh. I think the Doctor should have Arthur Dent as a companion. Now THAT would be awesome.
"Shouldn't we, oh, I don't know. Bring a towel?" I think I might die of joy. Yay for an unholy amalgamation of British scifi! You realize of course that Douglas Adams used to be the Head Writer/Script Editor for Doctor Who right? Though I'd rather see Dirk Gently as the new companion. Yay for him and his Holistic Detective Agency.

Sepik I just bought The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul! I need to read it... It looks so great! ^^Oh it is. By far it is my favorite Douglas Adams book. And actually you can see a lot of Shada in it. EDIT: My brain is apparently missing. Long Dark Teatime is awesome, it's one of my favorites and for some reason I read the title and my brain went "Right Holistic Detective Agency"... So yeah. It's not Long Dark Teatime that reeks of Shada. (reek not meant in a negative way mind you.)

I really need to look at Shada... but when I have time! I'm ticked... I have only maybe three hours on the computer for this whole week, which I'm spending catching up on my alerts list from fanfiction.net. I should be writing the next chapter to my ff before my reviewers resort to death threats... sweatdrop

As for the speculation that Rose will be killed off, i should hope not - though it wouldn't the first time in DW history they've done anything like that. But alas, all companions, like all Doctors, sooner or later come to an end. Most of them leave happily, and not many leave under a cloud or with a shrug. Only a mere handful have died. So let's not worry about the worst that can happen, but think on the more interesting possibilities that lie ahead.
Rose has lasted longer than most companions. I believe only Sarah Jane has been around longer, though I could be wrong on that.

Technically the longest lasting companion is Romana although most people split her up into two seperate companions, Romana I and Romana II.
[Edit] Upon checking to make sure it appears that Tegan actually lasted about the same amount of time as Romana so it's kind of a tie between the two for longest companion.

Lucky about reviewers. Mine just threaten me with hammers whether I take a while to update or no. In retrospect I really shouldn't have suggested they watch/Read MISERY...

Well, when an author doesn't update a story that I like to read, I give them a friendly death threat. ^^

The movie is really rather cheesy but EVERY TIME she whips out that hammer and you suddenly see his foot at the wrong angle I wince. Not to start a war that probably doesn't belong in the Doctor Who guild but it is one of the only good Stephen King stories.

Misery sounds just like a lot of erm... *cough* fantasies *cough* I've seen certain authors on fanfiction.net write about if they could be with certain characters.
:complete and utter fear:
Needless to say I rather quickly exited out of them. ^^

Just... argh. The only thing I've ever read all the way through, even with the graphic slash, was The Diaries of Daniel Jackson. Because it was funny. I mean FUNNY. I literally fell out of my chair multiple times, I was laughing so hard.
