I'm glad the 4kids productions stopped dubbing episodes. At least the FUNanimation has saved the dub. Well, for me it's not as good as the original japanese but at least they don't cut parts or anything like that. The VAs need some more work, though... sweatdrop

I hate the 4kids, the funamation is better...... BUT NOTHING LIKE THE ORIGINAL

I loved how lazy they were.
I coulda sworn there were a thousand times when they edited a pic, for a few seconds u'd see the original item that was there.

the german dubb is definetly the best dubb xd but it only lasted until episode 315 crying i saw some episodes of the 4kids dub and i didn't quite understand everything.. didn't they like.. steal sanji's cigarette and replaced it with a lollipop ? stare

Sanji. The ruined you. That voice was horrid, the lolly was stupid.
And the violence. where was the true violence. my 6year old said where the guns.
Also, I'd like to note that I watched the dubbed versions first and they scarred me to the point where it took me 2 years to even look at the series again.

All I ca say is this: Luffy VS Crocodile. The dialogue kills my soul.

Okay, I will honestly say that I gave 4Kids a chance. I really did. After learning about it through Shonen Jump, I watched it faithfully up to somewhere during the Kuro fight. I missed a bunch of episodes, then jumped back in at Sanji's introduction. I listened to his voice for about five seconds, turned off the TV, then left with something along the lines of this running through my head, "That is not cool, that is not Sanji, that is not him at all..." Sometime later I got introduced to the original online and fell in love with Luffy's voice. Things went from there until Funimation showed up. If you want my opinion on that, look at the Funi topic.

Sanji's voice failed at life. Although it wasn't just the lack of blood (Zoro VS Mihawk was terrible) or the awfulness that was Sanji and Luffy that really got to me. It was the fact that they cut huge bits out of the story! I mean, WTF happened to the Little Garden arc? And OH MY GOOD LORD WHY IS SHANKS IRISH?!?!! AND WHY DO THEY PLAY THE CELTIC MUSIC EVERY TIME HE SPEAKS?!!?!!

Oh dear god.. there are no words grand enough for me to use to describe just how awful and sickening 4Kids butchering of One Piece was. I understand they couldn't show Sanji smoking..but.. a ******** LOLIPOP??? WHAT THE ********?? That wasn't even as bad as David Moo's gay a** making Sanji sound just.. guh.. yet again I can't think of words to describe how badly I hated how they destroyed my favorite straw hat...
Not to mention how badly they butchered Zoro and Mihawks fight, all the gay faggoty jokes that were horribly inappropriate, and in some cases very racy if you ask me, the whole scene where Luffy and Croc were fighting the wayt hey dubbed it was SOO suggestive I laughed till I cried at their banter, god.. they made them both sound soo gay It was soo sad.
There was not one single thing I can even say about what LITTLE I saw of the dub that I even liked. There's not even a voice right now I can think of I could even stand. I just loathed all of it.
And again.. HOW THE ******** can you cut out an ENTIRE ARC?? HOW THE ******** did they DO that???? And dont forget, apparently Whales are a bad influence on children, so ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTERS IN THE STORY GOT TURNED INTO A ******** ICEBERG. Don't forget that. Poor Laboon.
