"Oh, yes. I live on the other side of the lake and Mommy likes to go to Hula Granddaddy's bar. The beach is always very nice." Tiki Jim told her with a smile.

"Are you ready for the next step? It's going on farther in the lake to surf? I can go with you if you want." Hula Bob told Reira. He wanted her to be safe. Tiki Jim had gone with his other grandpa.

Half of what she had just heard didn't make much sense to Reira, but she nodded anyway and continued to return the smile. "I like the lake, now, too! But I haven't been to the beach very much..." Talea had pointed out the beach along with the lake as the two passed it a few times, but Reira had never actually gotten to spend time at it. Now she really wanted to, and stories of sandcastles and such filled her mind.

She was brought back to reality when Hula Bob spoke to her. "Yes!" she replied enthusiastically. "I want to surf like he does!" she continued, pointing at Tiki Jim. Apparently, she was quite impressed, if not a bit jealous.

Hula Bob smiled and nodded. "Alrighty, follow my, and Tiki Jim's lead." Hula Bob got his board and swam on it a bit farther on the water. Not too deep, just in case. He then got up and began to surf.

"The beach is great!" Tiki Jim nodded to his Hula Granddaddy. He then followed him and did the same. He hoped Reira did well.

"Okay!" Watching the two for an example first, Reira paddled along on her board to catch up. Carefully she stood, trying her best to remember everything she had learned so far. For a short while, she was able to glide along on the water. The moment that her success sunk in, however, Reira lost her concentration, wobbled, and fell off the board into the water with a surprised shriek and a prompt splash.

The young Pae'il was bouyant enough that with just a little bit of kicking she was able to stay safely afloat. The surprised look on her face gave way to another bright smile soon enough and almost immediately after she was working on pulling herself back up onto the board.

"I'm okay!!" she announced so that no one would worry.

Hula Bob swam his board over to Reira. "Okay, good. That was an awesome wipe out." Hula Bob chuckled glad she was okay. He was worried for a moment.

Tiki Jim sat down on his board and clapped. "Still, it was pretty good!" He winked at her with a smile.

Reira laughed a bit sheepishly. Wipe out - another new word to her vocabulary. Something told her she'd need it a lot...

With a bit of kicking, Reira managed to get back up on the board and sat for a moment. "Thank you! she responded, growing redder (if that was possible) from embarrassment. "You guys wipe out, too, right...?" she asked after a short hesitation, just to ensure that she wasn't doing too poorly at this.

Hula Bob winked at her. "Of course everyone does. It's the way to learn." He wasn't sure if he really had or not. He was just ment for it.

Tiki Jim nodded. "I fell through my board. I had like a bubble around me." He tried to explain what he figured was his power. As it was like his parent's.

Reira believed Hula Bob and was reassured until Tiki Jim's comment. "A... bubble?" Her eyes grew wide with surprise. She didn't understand that this was Tiki Jim's unique power, and she had not yet experienced her own power yet, aside from occasional feelings of being light as a feather. Even then, she didn't attribute the occurrences to any sort of special power. The idea that she could simply fall through the board seemed much worse than merely falling off of it. "How scary!"

Even so, she was determined to succeed. Once again, she positioned her feet on the board and stood up, hoping that she'd still be able to talk as she worked on her surfing skills.

((Since the surf lessons are pretty much over you can now stay or leave the rp if you want! biggrin You don't have to! lol))

Hula Bob stayed close but watched the shore. If anyone new showed up for lessons he'd have to get out there again.

"Yeah, it was kinda. My mom can go through stuff and my dad makes bubbles it must be from them." Tiki Jim nodded. He stood back on his board and surfed a bit near her.

((Reira would probably like to chat with Tiki Jim for a bit longer, so I'll stay for now! 3nodding ))

"Oh, my!" Reira exclaimed in response, managing to keep her balance despite her surprise. She was getting better at this whole surfing thing after all! Busy concentrating on herself and her conversation with Tiki Jim, she barely noticed when Hula Bob backed off a bit. "Well, I..." At a loss, she paused. "I'm not really sure what I do... Maybe I just haven't found what I'm best at yet." Always optimistic, Reira offered a confident smile to back up her statement.

Tiki Jim nodded. "Yeah, I just found my power out. So, who knows. Want to go back to shore?" He asked as he sat on his board and kicked the water with his feet.

Hula Bob smiled surfing around them and keeping an eye for shore. He wondered what had happed to the yellow demon. Did he still want lessons?

Reira was getting tired; all this surfing was really draining her energy. "Yes, I would! Can we go back to the beach? I still want to go over there..." True, the thought of the beach really had not left her mind. Ideas of sandcastles and sunbathing and whatever else one could do in the sand filled her thoughts. Following Tiki Jim's lead, she settled onto her board so that she was both comfortable and able to move along in the water.

"Yeah. That's what's at shore." Tiki Jim nodded. He did't go too fast as he didn't want to leave Reira far behind. In case she needed him. Hi made it to the shore and got off his board. "Welcome to the beach." He winked like his Hula Grandaddy.

Hula Bob followed the two children to keep an eye on them. After they made it to shore he sat on the beach. He wondered if anyone knew would want lessons.

((Hula Bob is open for new lessons!))

"Yay!" Reira exclaimed, paddling along behind Tiki Jim, laughing as she arrived and received the same wink that Hula Bob seemed to always give. After treading a short ways up from the water, she set her board down and sat next to it. Curious, she began sifting sand through her fingertips, surprised by the unique texture. Quickly she decided that a sandcastle was her first priority.

Tiki Jim turned around and saw Reira in the sand. "Whatcha doing? Making a sand castle?" He smiled and walked over to a palm tree. There he found his pale and shovel.

"These help." Tiki Jim chuckled and sat next to her.
