MiLK` Adjective Mugwamp They make tapers as claws, swirls, or straight depending on the style. A general definition of a taper is a long piece of jewelry that starts out smaller and then gradually expands to a larger gauge. Do they have any around 10g? They might. Go to your local piercing parlor and ask them.

Lydia Desdemona I know the make 10g insertion tapers. I have an account with a wholesaler that sells them for 5 bucks. THey are slightly larger than 10g at the big end and it is indented, to that you can make the taper open you up for regular, non-tapered jewelry. Okay. Thanks! biggrin

Okay, you wanted a pic... This is my ear a few months ago just after getting a Sakura (Cherrie blossom) ink in white behind the ear. I'm up 2 m"m since then to 22 and have hand made wood tunnels now.  That's also a 6m"m conch(can't remember spelling, it's 7am.) dermal punched.

I've been thinking of getting a dermal punched conch 8g. But I dunno. I'd rather get it higher. I don't know what the name of it is... but maybe I can get a photo later.
But nonetheless, heart the tunnels.

I just stretched my ears from 00s to 7/16".
Maybe I'll post some pics later.
Experience: I stretched them initially using acrylic plugs, they had a hard time healing and after a few days I saw no sign of healing. I began to worry because I was keeping them clean and being careful with them, I switched the acrylic plugs to steel flesh tunnels and they cleared up almost completely within a couple of days.
Conclusion: Stretch using plugs made of Stainless Steel rather than acrylic or other porous materials.
I knew this already through research but I figured i'd share my experience.

All I can say is metal STINKS, after it's healed there is nothing like wood. ^_^

Wood is porous and will absorb fluids during healing leaving the plug unsanitary and as you put it, it will "stink". It also causes healing problems and prolongs the healing process. After a fresh stretch is healed though, it's perfectly fine to use natural and porous materials.

I have a septum, so it's almost a constant odor if I move it.. lmfao. >_>;

Adjective bactine This is a picture of one of my earings, its an 8g (I have my 6g in right now... I switch between the two every few months) , but you really cant tell. There is also a picture of the tattoo I got for my 18th birthday. smile Is the tattoo a flower? I can't really tell. sweatdrop Its a celtic star razz

I have stretched both of my lobes to a 00g, I used an acrylic claw taper thing... I stongly reccomend stretching it slowly unlike what I did... One I stretched from a 10g to a 00g all at once, it hurts so bad, and a lot of blood... I know that you don't appreciate at home piercings but I have my own piercing shop so all of mine are home done... One thing about strecthings is that they stink lol it's kinda gross... sweatdrop
