She started to cook the pancakes and such. While she was doing that, Tech and Byte came downstairs. Byte rubbing her eyes tiredly and Tech yawning. They weren't wearing their visors, gloves, or boots. Just their clothes. Byte looked up to see Mari cooking and smiled. "Whatcha makin'?" Tech just sat down and rubbed his eyes. He was still kinda tired. Blitz drug herself down the steps and sat beside her food bowl waiting to be fed. Mari smiled and looked at Byte. "I'm making pancakes. Happy Valentine's Day, you two." While the pancakes were cooking, Mari went to the fridge and grabbed a piece of meat out of the freezer that was rapped up. She unwrapped it and put it in Blitz bowl so she could have her breakfast. The tiger let out a happy growl and started to chew on the large chunk of beef that was put into her bowl.

Tech just looked up at him and didn't answer. Instead, Byte did. "We slept good. Blitz and Odin kept us warm." She smiled and Mari had finished making the food and gave them theirs first. "Where is Odin, by the way?" She sat a place on the table for Odin. He never really sat in a chair anyways. Then giving Smash his. She left Maris' on the stove because he was never one to wake up until after noon, but his would be there when he woke up. She sat hers on the table and then went to get syrup, butter, and some strawberry jam out of the cupboards and fridge. Also pouring milk for all of them. Finally taking a seat so she could start eating.

The two kids started to eat their pancakes as did Mari. She smiled when she seen Odin. "Your breakfast is right there, Odie. You should eat it before it gets cold." She took a drink of her milk and continued to eat her breakfast.

After they were all done eating, Mari got up from the table and started collecting the plates to put them in the sink. As she was working, Tech got up and grabbed some plates himself to help her. Mari smiled at him. "Thank you, Tech. Such a little gentleman." He just smiled back and put the plates in the sink. "It's not a problem." She then started to do the dishes just so they would be clean and Byte was helping her by drying them.

After that was done, Mari went to the closet in the front room and grabbed three small heart-shaped boxes and gave them to Tech, Byte, and Odin. "All three of you better not eat all of this at once, now." She smiled and the two kids just smiled back. "Thank you, Mari!" "Thanks!"

Mari grinned and put her hands on his shoulder and leaned down to his ear. "I gotta do what it takes to be the favorite. And if bribes work, then I'll use them." She then kissed him on the cheek and walked over to put foil over Maris' plate so he would be able to eat it later. The kids ran off in the front room to eat some of their candy and they were probably going to play a game of some sort.

Mari just kept the wrapped plate on the stove and turned to look at him. "It's not my fault he doesn't want to talk to you."

Mari just crossed her arms and leaned against the counter. "It's a masculine thing. He thinks you're trying to take the place of him in his sister's eyes. He's probably just a bit jealous of you."

Mari walked into the front room and upstairs to Maris' room. She knocked on the door. "Maris! I made you some breakfast! You should wake up and go eat it!" All that could be heard from the room was a growl and an angry moan. She just sighed and went into her room to get dressed.
