Kura nodded in thanks. He'd already experienced what humans do to those they don't understand. It was why his pants were in such bad shape. "Thanks a ton. Both of you." He bowed again, making a respectful thanking gesture that was comman among his tribe.

Mari pulled Matt in her direction as she went to walk back to the clearing of the guild. "Follow us. We'll take you to the mansion so you know where everything is." Without another word and dragging Smash behind her, she left to head towards the mansion.

((Trotting along the path, her tail sways from left to right with her every step, her coat flowing out behind her as she examines the area, sniffing the air as it blows back her hair.))
"Oi...so this is where I was dropped off now?! Guh...what am I gonna do..it seems like there isn't anyone around to help me get back. Ah well..."
((Flopping under a tree Zukin yawned loudly as she picked at the wound on the side of her knee...))

Mari had a busy day yesterday bringing in two new people and now she was walking through the woods holding a cup of peppermint tea. She didn't expect anything today. Just seemed too quiet for trouble. She just kept walking, the scent of peppermint filling the air.

*Perks, sniffing about the air as her ears perked a bit at the sound of footsteps in the forest. Turning her cold gaze off to the side she spotted a shadow, appearing to be female. Quickly Zukin dashed behind a tree. Her violet eyes peered out at the figure walking...*

Mari took a sip of her tea and looked around some more. She felt like something was watching her, but disreguarded it and kept to her rounds.

*Lightly giggled as she stepped cautiously from the shadows of the tree she was hiding behind, sliding down it's trunk and sitting on the ground with a yawn. Zukin crossed her legs as her tail slunk twitched in curiousity at the figure. "Hmm..." thought Zukin. "She doesn't look so tough...so I bet she won't pull anything. Besides. I'm Zukes. I can -totally- take her if I need to." Hopping to her feet she put on a grin and walked toward the girl. A rather fang-filled grin as she darted a hand in her direction, Zukin's horns shimmering in the moonlight.*
"Heya! I'm Zukin, but you can call me Zukes. What's your name? Oh, what'cha drinkin, it smells strong!"
*she held her nose*

Mari turned in the direction of the voice and seen the girl. The first thing she took note of was the horns and tail. Both tattletale signs of a demon. She held up her free hand and waved. "Mari Star. And this I'm drinking is peppermint tea." She then put her hand in her pocket and held up the mug towards the girl as if she was toasting her. "What brings you around these parts? Looking for the guild or is the forest just a nice place for you to hide?" She gave her a grin back and put the cup up to her lips to get another drink.

*Frowned a bit at the wave, wondering why Mari didn't shake her hand...was she afraid?*
"Hmm...well it's nice and quiet and I'll stay outta the way here I guess. Besides this is where I was dropped..."

Mari took notes of her actions and raised her eyebrow. She seemed to be on guard for an attack. She then finally realized the girl's hand was out of a handshake, but she missed it. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry." She took her hand back out of her pocket and shook Zukin's hand. "Sometimes my eyes take note of bigger things that I miss the smaller ones." She smilled and pulled her hand back after the shake. She wasn't lying. If it wasn't for her glasses, she would be near blind, though she didn't mention her weaknesses to people she had just met.
"Dropped off here, you say? Do tell." Mari was interested in this girl's story. She seemed nice enough and she didn't try anything to cause Mari to be on guard herself. And everyone who came here always had a story to tell.

*Tilting her head off to one side, she blinked, her tail following the direction of the tilt.*
"Well...that's a bit of an interesting story. I was banned from Chaos, that's the underworld for demons."
*Zukin pointed at the ground, frowning a bit.*
"I helped a lost angel get back to Eden...so now I'm banished to earth. I'm just lucky I got to keep my horns. I'm banished here for...thirteen life cycles. So that's about..."
*She counted on her fingers.*
"1300 years..."
*Zukin frowned, kicking at the dirt.*
"I shouldn't have helped but I didn't know that I was doing the wrong thing! Next time I'll just keep to myself when someone asks for help."
*Her eyes glazed over as she snarled angerly towards the heavens.*
