it has a similar storyline and is pretty good 3nodding

Not heard of it. Knowing my luck it hasn't been released in the UK!

I used to watch the show when they had it on FoxKids. I was really interested in it, but unfortantly, they didn't show it later on crying . LuckilyAdult swim is showing Escaflowne the movie this week, so I can watch the movie. Still, I want to see the rest of the series crying

Yeah. They showed like 2 episodes on Fox Kids then they took it off suddenly (I wonder why). But yeah. Dragon hearts and stuff still seemed like a cool idea in my book.

Is there a drastic difference between the manga and the anime? Which do you recommend?

The episodes were stopped because it wasn't very popular in Japan so the writer just stopped doing it I guess..

Really? that sounds sortah odd though. The seires was already on VHS I believe in the US.
