Im an empath 110%. I can tell if somethings wrong with someone immedietly or I just get these feelings that somethings not right. I get overwhelmed with emotions very VERY quickly. I mean one minute I could be laughing with someone whose happy and the next minute a person whose upset walks in and all of a sudden I feel sad too...Ive even cried a few times from it.

I commonly see colors about the people that accuratly tell me what mood theyre in or how theyre feeling so besides a heart reaction, my eyes tell me. For example, someone whose confused, hurt, in doubt, usually appears to me in a navy blue ish color, those calm in a light blue, those happy in yellow. Of course its not as simple as that but its the easiest way to explain.

As for me finding out...I think Ive always known you know? It because more predominant after the death of my grandfather which left me trauamatized for months afterwards. But ive always been like it to my recollection and eventually I heart "Empath" anfd realized thats what I am.

Aw, thanks..I think? lol. Im usually right in my predictions but eh *shrugs* I can usually pick up any emotion at any given time but it works better if its just me and the person in question. Its cool you can pick up stuff sometimes too heart

An about the book thing. Yes, it happens a lot and in a text book with 500 pages its d**m near conveinant LOL!

It does work really well for me...I have a few close friends who don't know how to talk about their feelings...like how to bring it up so the fact I can look at them and say "are you alright? You're coming off dark and heavy...is there somehting on your mind you want to talk about?" it opens the conversation so that if they want to talk, they can. It helps...I mean I'll be 18 in a 2 months but Ive taught several things before and being able to accuratly predict someones emotions gives me a good lead on how to connect with that person right off the bat. (Like I said earlier, empathy started fairly young for me after a couple traumatic experiences. After my 3 month shock over my grandfathers death, it really heightened up)

as for the posting thing...yeah...Im usually pretty quiet but get my on a topic I know something about or can relate to and I promise my posts will be more then a few words hehe sweatdrop (balnce is important 3nodding I agree, Ive moderated forums before and its a hassel trying to get people to post and not just read)
