Yellie kreepykami wow this this is still going. Oh i just found out that Billie is on the top banner cover of Teen People magazine as the 'hottest guys of summer' i hope it won't welcome more posers, and that's not something us true Green Day fans should be happy about. why is he there?!?! stupid magazine and ARGH!
oh for sure we should welcome kiddo's that are having their introduction to rock/punk or just good music and help them out, but not the people that are only fans for AI. like the crazy people seen at TRL, i didn't see one face that looked like they listened to rock. No.... Not new Billie... Not fair. What about his bleached blond, puppy fat look..??

I have a very good example of a poser at my school.
Me: Hi, Sarah. Wanna listen to my Green Day CD?
Sarah: Sure, do you have BOBD? I'm like, their biggest fan.
Me: Yeah, but is that the only song you know?
Sarah: No, I know Holiday and American Idiot, too.
Me: *Rolling Eyes*Oh wow. Do you like any songs on Dookie?
Sarah: Dookie?
Me: Yeah, their most famous CD?
Sarah: Oh my God, Soleil! Just because I love Green Day doesn't mean I have to know all of their CDs and songs.
Me: Um, you should at least know their most famous CD. Haven't you ever heard of Basket Case or even Good Riddance?
Sarah: What's Good Riddance?
Me: *Sings Good Riddance*
Sarah: Oh my God, Soleil! That's not even called Good Riddance, duh! It's Time Of Your Life!

yea i have this girl at my school who i thought was a green day fan..she was wearing an "american idiot" t-shirt. so one day i talked to her...turns out she's just got a lot of money and spoiled.
me: hey you like green day?
her: yea! they are awesome! im like they're biggest fan!
me: really stare
her: yea! i went to one of their concerts, the american idiot tour.
me: gonk what?!!! how long have you waited for that?
her: oh i just asked my mom and she said i could biggrin
me:how long have you liked them?
her: uhhh like forever (shes a real bad liar so i could tell she was lying)
me: do you have any of their cds?
her: yea like ALL of them!
me: stare name them then if you have all of them
her: american idiot.,...
me:...yea and...?
her: uh yea all the other ones
me: stare ...*walks away*
well to me a true green day fan is someone who can really relate to being an outcast or a loser and not caring what other people say. for me, when i hear songs like basket case or longview im like OMG that is soooo me! And lets say green day is all of a sudden known as a gay band...if you still love them, then that is a real green day fan.

I hate those people at my school who are total preps and they sing BOBD in the halls. URG. But uh, I don;t really care much if they like them, or pretend to like them. They can go off and be little posers, but it dosen't affect me. None of them are going to their concert now are they! HA! None of them even knew they were coming to town. freaks. stare

And I thought she was singing another song because that doesn't go in AI. I knew she meant the line "Well maybe I'm the f*****t america" because she probably has the clean version so it comes up as a beep.

Okay, about this entire thing. I've been a Green Day fan for as long as I can remember. Now a few of my friends got into Green Day becuase of American Idiot and I just told them there's more to Green Day than American Idiot and I just got them more into Green Day by introducing them to more of their other songs and things they'd done. That's a good way to handle it. ANd if you try that, and they still don't get it, that's when you start to dislike them. Simple, right?
