Haki tilted her head, listening to Ina's words and giggled. Oooh, what an evil plan! Girlfriends bonding over chocolate and boy problems already. Her eyes shining, she nodded her head. "Ina smart." she said, her words meaning more than the academic type of intelligence.

Admiring, she entered the kitchen and went immediatly to the small cupboard. Marc wouldn't miss much, right? And besides-- she had better things to do than worry about him worrying.

Such as feeding her friends.

"Ina like tcholate?" she asked, bending down and swinging the door open. It was back there... somewhere.

Ina followed after Haki, her eyes trailing around the kitchen with interest. Her ears perked and her tail began to wag. It was a very pretty kitchen! It looked like it'd be lots of fun to cook in! She had a huge longing to go yank out pots and pans and mess around with the food. She probably would have done it too if Haki weren't there to ask her about the 'colate. Mm...ok, having fun could wait. 'Colate was worth it.

"Yes!" she chirped happily at Haki's question, smiling brightly and swishing her purple tail. Come on~! Who didn't like 'colate?!

"Play clap?" Gavin blinked. He wondered what was this 'clap' that Osha spoke of. Staring at Osha's hands, he considered what possible things he could do. Clapping hands was something he did when he was happy. Well, he was happy now, so of course he could clap. But Osha's hands weren't in standard clapping position.

Gavin stared at his own hands. "Teach me?"

He would have to learn the ways of other little boys, considering he'd been around mostly females for the whole of his short life.

Then Osha and Gavin could grow up and be gay together, because Osha clearly had more interest in an 'Easy Bake Oven', as opposed to a 'Creepy Crawlers' machine.
That, and Lisa Frank, man.

"Yes," the toddler nodded in some solemn acceptance, "Copy."

The little boy waited patiently for Gavin to raise up his hands. First timers, Osha supposed, would have to start out with Patty Cake. And then they could go on to more advanced games, like Slide, and Rockin' Robin.

((I find it sad that I know all the names of these clapping games... ))

Haki knelt as she reached behind the rat poison for the familiar shape of the chocolate box. Pulling it out, she sat down, looking up at Ina with mischief in her eyes. "Sit, Ina." she said, whispering in case the boys could hear her. They could eat some together! And whatever they did outside (boys were strange creatures) at least she knew she'd be having the better time. Come on, what was so interesting about stairs?

Opening the box, she held it out, almost reverently towards Ina. The chocolate bars were kept in the box for neatness more than secrecy, and so she smiled, nodding.

"Ina can go first." she was feeling magnamous, right now. And besides.

There was enough to go around.

Ina fell back onto her bottom with a plop, careful of her tail. She seemed pretty good at keeping it out of the way, even when she sat so suddenly. She grinned at Haki. Haha! Those boys wouldn't know what they were missing! Too bad for them! She eyed the opened box of 'colate carefully, her gold eyes slipping over every different kind of bar. Oooo, there were so many shapes! This 'colate was far fancier then what her mommy had! She was boggled at the amount there was to choose from-she had no idea where to start! So, she simply grabbed at the coolest shape she could see, a star shape with ridges on it, and stuck it in her mouth. Her ears perked and her tail began to wag, "Mmmmmm!"

With a solemn expression of concentration, Gavin studied Osha's hand movements. He raised his own hands and tried to mimic the intricate maneuvers that he'd never seen before. To an outsider, it might look like two toddlers slapping hands together in some strange fashion--with Osha being the only one doing it correctly--but to him this was a test of skill and dexterity. A test he was failing at miserably.

"Can't do it," he said, frustrated, staring at his hands. He held them up to Osha's face. "Hands breaked?"

Maybe something was wrong with him...or his hands. And maybe Osha could make it all better.

"No," Osha said, getting a little frustrated himself, "Maybe my hands breaked?"

Regardless, it wasn't working. In a little fit, the toddler picked up the nearest thing beside him and beat it against the sidewalk.

Upon closer inspection, he had taken a rock- a strange rock- and made a funny squiggle on the sidewalk with it. It was a strange rock... it was pastel lime, and there had been a small pile a foot away with all sorts of different colors. Osha didn't know what kind of rock it was, but his frustrations went away instantly when he realized that he was making a picture.

Sidewalk chalk. Where had it come from? He couldn't say. But all that really mattered was that it was there. He didn't even notice the other pile, as this piece of chalk had inadvertently rolled into his leg before.

"Look," he directed Gavin to the chalk he was holding, curious.

Haki giggled again, trying to control the volume- if she didn't, she was going to end up shrieking her laughter across the floor like marbles. So she picked one out for herself too, a heart shaped one. She remembered this one- it was filled with something sweet!

Picking it up and plopping it into her mouth, her eyes widened with delight. Hey- maybe there was something to this sharing thing. She felt nicer, eating chocolate with someone else (and knowing that the chocolate supply wasn't going to disappear... the thought of sharing something finite was a completely different story.), and it seemed kind of... adventurish too.

Wow.

Sesame Street was right about this sharing thing! Hmmm.

"Haki happy." she proclaimed, grinning through a mouthful of chocolate. She nodded, casted a furtive look back towards the door. The boys seemed busy. With what?

Bah. It didn't matter, did it? What could be better then eating chocolate, under aircon?

Ina's senses were having a party, from the very fancy and sweet taste of teh 'colate to the smell coming from the box. Her ears were pricked in attention and her tail was sweeping across the floor with vigor. "Ina happy too!" Ina chirped in return, smilng widely. She had really white teeth. Selecting another nifty shaped 'colate, this time a leaf, she bit off half of it, carmel oozing from its open side onto her fingers. When she was done chewing she put the other half in her mouth and licked her fingers neatly. Mm...none of this was going to waste, no sir!

She had almost forgotten what the boys were doing. Her mind did tickle a little with a wonder at what could keep them on the steps. Ah well. Their loss, right? Right?

Gavin stared at the scribble forming on the concrete. How did Osha do that?

"Osha have magic!" he squealed excitedly, probably loud enough for the girls inside to hear.

That had to be it. Osha could make color come from anything. He was magical! Tearing his eyes away from the wonders unfolding on the concrete, Gavin did notice the other pile of chalk. Magic rocks, in his mind. Strange how they were so not bumpy and all in the same shape. Must be part of the magic.

"I use magic rock too?" he asked. If Osha was the color magician, he'd have to ask permission first. No need to make magical people unhappy by stealing their craft. If he was lucky, maybe Osha would tell him what this thing was called.

Man, those girls didn't know what they were missing. Tsocolate? Pft...
