I like One Piece because it always has more twists and turns then then my sister's hair! (She has curly hair you see) I also love One Piece because it is a sign that there IS in fact a God. And he loves us very much. How do I know? Because we have One Piece! XD

i love one piece because i like the story as a whole.each character is unique.and our heros have morals and can overcome everything.they go against goverment and any other enemy for the sake of their friends,they search the hidden history,they chase after their dreams,and above all they want to be free and help any other who wants to be free but is being ruled by evil forces...and all of these are being showed in a funny and yet exciting way..thats all...

Why i like One Piece?....
evil u know i got a little problem i'm kinda smart so usually i can predict something before it hapens in a manga.... but i cant predict a single little thing not a second "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING" when its sad it becomes encouraging smile , when its funny it get hilarious blaugh , when its kick a** it becoms smash a** twisted and if the situation is worse then ever its changes incredibly logical rofl !!!!!!!!! those are the only resons mrgreen biggrin

The characters are so original and sick...the show is soooo long and still has the best most unique storyline even that has always remained sick.....and ZORO is in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *goes fangirly* the way he cuts up those bad guys is just so HOT!!!!!!!! XDXDXD

It was one of my first anime, has a sick stroyline that has not gone boring, and has one my favorite characters ZORO!!! XDXD

the characters are funny, the plot is adicting, & i love pirates! heart

I love it just because it pretty much as everything.

It looks like and does not stray too far from your stereotypical Shounen, but it is the masterpiece of the genre, if you ask me.

One Piece has the theme of friendship, yet somehow it pulls it off very well without feeling the least bit cheesy. It has the action and building up of a stereotypical Shounen, but it's never too boring. Oda makes his villains truly disgusting and very easy to hate so that the action doesn't feel like it's just there to be action. In fact a lot of One Piece's villains don't have incredibly ridiculous and out there plans like in other Shounen, even though they have powers that are out of this world, they are hateable on a very realistic level. (That's not always the case, but it is enough to make it special.)

One Piece's characters are great, and all likeable. You really don't have any annoying characters. Luffy is the most amazing out of the main Shounen heroes. He beats out Naruto by a thousand times, at least. One Piece is also extremely emotional. The fact that the villains are so easy to hate is a part of this. The hatred of the villains really does enhance the action by tons of times. But there's also the sadness. When looking at One Piece from a distance it probably doesn't look like it'd ever be sad... but the backstories and some of the happenings within the series are very sad. Robin's past really made me cry... And I'm sure many of the others' have as well. But I just love that One Piece is a series that is built around emotion and not just pure action. Pure action is boring. Oda has recognized this, and has made it so the sad parts of the anime are actually sad. (I recall in an interview he said that when making a sad scene he makes sure that it made he himself cry, before going with it.)

Of course you also have to love the humor. One Piece just has some of the funniest scenes ever.

There's also the obvious creativity behind the whole series. Even if some arcs aren't just incredibly important to the overall plot, the whole concepts of the islands are enough to bare with it. Like Skypeia and Thriller Bark. The island in the sky was awesome, and for Thriller Bark I really hate Thriller things... I hate the idea of zombies, they scare me to death and I wish people would stop overhyping them. But the whole concept of zombies in One Piece was both hilarious and creative.

Lastly, for the overall story... This anime/manga is HUGE, but in the way it reveals things and its story it feels like a much smaller series. Obscure things from hundreds of episodes ago that you might not have even noticed are given significance very suddenly... And it really makes you realize that Oda must have really had this all planned out from the beginning. Which makes the story a hundred times more interesting than your stereotypical Shounen.

And that is why I think that One Piece as a whole, is the very best of its kind. In fact I consider it the best series I've ever known.

For the anime in specifically, I have to say that I love the voice actors/actresses and the background music. They enhance the experience of the story by a whole bunch. I especially give props to the composers as well as Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy's voice actress). Gosh, she voiced Luffy's emotion so perfectly in 405... Enough that her voice alone made me tear up.
