I once had a profile on a Danish art site, where you could upload your own drawings. I started to notice drawings of Lolitas and got all “what is this?”. Then another user commented me, and we became friends quickly. They were a big fan of the Gothic Lolita style, and started “teaching” me some about it. XD I entered the first Danish J-Fashion website, and then I became obsessed.

My greatest interest now is J-Rock. But J-Fashion is what comes next on the list. Then Asian Balljointed Dolls.

I can thank my friend for making me a Japan-freak. <33

I don't remember how I found out about Lolita, but I own a few super dollfies, and it's really hard not to know about SD and not know about Lolita. They kinda go hand in hand. I think through my dolls, my love of lolita grew! heart

Progression:
Sailor Moon > anime > jpop/rock > visual kei > VK dress > EGL

I might note that I'm not really a fan of anime or VK anymore. sweatdrop

    I am not sure. I guess I have been for a pretty long time because my mother always dressed me in dresses and skirts for school. She made sure I had the right stockings so that I was not cold.

    After a while I guess I got used to it and I really like the pretty laces she picked out for me. Sometimes I was picked on at school or laughed at because of the way I dress. That only happened when I got older though. But now my friends respect the way I dress. I do not like the new clothes everyone is wearing. It is too reveling and not modest. I just can not wear them. ^-^

    Long story, ne? Apologies...

    But ever since I came home from Japan, I finally new it was a fashion. xD

I guess I always had something for fashion..but it seemed diffrent from most people. So I just looked online for styles that were more like me and da-da..there it is. o_o Soooo pwetty. heart I wish I could afford things online, and i never have time to really finish a project...so I guess I spend a lot of time drawing EGL things. heart I would love to disign fashion in Japan... I suppose I myself am more stylised like Fruits. ^_^ I envy being able to find a sweet outfit by walking down a street.

THREE WORDS:
SOKO GA SHIRITAI.
ho, yes i watch this almost every day. it's a show hosted by a japanese tv personality (often times a local news anchor) and there's a differnt topic for each show. for example: fukubukuro, adopted son-in-laws, old safes, food for 1000 yen, coast line by bus, nighttime jobs, etc. and one episode (this was back when i was only 10 years old, i think. lolita has been an obsession for a LONG time.) was about japanese street fashion in harajuku. this episode was the equivalent to putting the lolita gun to my head and pulling the trigger.
{my other obsession- TAKUYA ANGEL. also from this episode.}

so that was my discovery of the fashion. but before that, i always had a thing for dressing up. i wanted it all- poofy dresses, hair ribbons, stockings, crowns, petticoats... mostly because my mother would NEVER let me have it. i was not allowed to wear dresses or skirts to schoool. never the stockings because it "makes you look stupid- no one wears stocking in hawaii!", says the mother. oh and did i mention i was not allowed to wear white? or light pink? because "you'll soil it at school. it's so filthy there...". sigh. hence why i am not into EGL. only sweet lolita. {and retro. it was so much better in the old days, i wish i was born in 1919. then i could grow up in the 20s and 30s and LIVE in the 40's and 50s. i really really wish i wasn't born in the 80s. things just went downhill from there. but that's another story.}

Ive been into Gothic & Lolita almost two years now. I can't remember how i got started in it. i think maybe just looking at pictures of japanese fashion. i started to research it looking at the different clothes. i fell in love with it already being into the gothic fahion. but over this past year my taste has shifted a lot and now im more in love with the sweet lolita look than the gothic lolita look.

I heard about it two times before I actuall got into it. About five years ago I stumbled across some malice mizer pictures and became obsessed with Mana and the profile on that website mentioned him being the queen of gothic lolita. The other incident is from when I looked in a newtype magazine and it mentioned witch hunter Robin and said that she was dressed in gothic lolita. I loved what she was wearing so I tried it. One thing led to another ya know. heart

A friend let me hear Malice Mizer once, now I'm obsessed by Malice Mizer and Mana. I was the first guy my friend knew who immediately saw (and didn't freaked out) that Mana as a guy, and very cute to be honest. 4laugh

1. At age three, I started watching Sailor Moon.
2. In Kindergarden, I started reading Sailor Moon Manga.
3. In fourth grade, I started reading Fuits basket.
4. And then Chobits.
5. I looked chobits up on wikipedia, and there was a link to lolita, as Chi wore it.
6. I clicked it.
7. I fell in love! ^-^
