Telia walked clockwise around the walls, calling to each element and invoking them in turn. At each cardinal point, she placed a piece of white quartz her grandmother had sown into most of her clothes -"Just in case." She made three more circuts, trailing a line behind, finsihing at the door.
"Spirit above, spirit below, spirit behind, spirit before."
The line extended, growing and forming a blue white orb over and under the hall. She closed her eyes and prayed. That all evil doings might be kept out of this circle, the wards she had set up. That it might be a place of healing and recuperation. She walked inside.
"It's done. A basic ward, but it should serve our purposes, given the lack of time." She swayed a little. "It's been awhile since I've cast a circle, or wards, and last time, I didn't need anchors for it. What else is there to do?"

((Hmm..let's see..Let's just call her Eiry))
Eiry stumbled into the hall, like a drunken...doctor. She held the handle of her largest knife rather limply. She had seen some random walking around the building, doing she didn't know what. She had been inside the boundary of the wards when it was set down. Eiry stumbled a few more steps, and collapsed face first onto the ground. Well, you couldn't exactly blame her. She had been wandering for a few days, no food, barely enough water...never knowing exactly where she was going, but feeling the call..the call of what? She didn't know. Just a basic instinct to follow it. And possibly a silly one, at that.
Telia turned in time, barely, to catch Eiry as she fell. She blinked and lowered Eiry to the floor. "Where did she come from? She couldn't have gotten through.."
Sephy turned. "Another one? Bring her here, she looks like she's just hungry. Give her some water..and we'll wait until she wakes up. No point in treating a patient when you don't know what ails them."
Telia obliged, placing Eiry down on one of the makeshift beds. She sponged a little water into her mouth. The taste of it revived Eiry immediately.
She groaned. "Where am I?"

Telia looked at her. Eiry, that was.
"In the hall. Don't worry, you're safe. What can I do for you?" "Food...Water...jellybaby..." Telia raised an eyebrow. "Doctor, can you come over here please?" The Doctor walked suspiciously over. "Jellybaby please." "You're not supposed to ask me! I'm supposed to ask you!" he riprimanded, aghast. Telia sighed. "This is a medical emergency." she stressed. "Fine." He brought out the paperbag and handed her one. Orange. Nope, that was no good. "Another colour please, she'll choke on this one." The Doctor humphed, looking like a sulking child. He handed her a red one.
Telia was passing it to Eiry when the thought stuck her. "Hold on, what do you know about jellybabies? They haven't even been invented yet, have they?" She kept the jellybaby in her hand, passing a glass of water, some bread and cheese to Eiry instead, waiting for an answer.

‘Now, really.’ Sephy muttered, coming over after finishing her rounds. ‘You’re holding a knife. Nice make, too. Best steel from tear. Odd, that. Only thing it can’t break is heartstone. Why are you carrying that? Most of your other knives are of that make too. Except for your small one. The dagger. That’s stolen. Mmmm. Yes. Definitely stolen. You have to be an assassin to have one of those. And that you’re not. An assassin outside would hold themselves differently. Especially one in your situation. Attack first. That’s why I didn’t like it. But perhaps you like it. Perhaps you don’t. Oh, bollocks, I’ve been around the doctor for too long. I’m babbling, aren’t I? But anyway, she’s not from here. Tear is on… Varos, I think.’ ‘Tear. Yes, Tear.’ The newcomer smiled slightly. ‘Ive been there. I am there. But now I’m not.’ ‘You get jelly babies in Tear?’ Asked Telia ‘No. Yes. Maybe. I don’t remember.’ ‘Stand up.’ Sephy smiled. ‘I – I don’t think I can.’ Sephy flicked her wrist and muttered something. Suddenly Eiwry (however you spell it – I’m on word right now) looked a lot better. She stood up, looking confused. ‘Pick up your knife.’ She went to pick up the knife she had come in holding. ‘No, no… smaller. Better for throwing.’ ‘Savage.’ Muttered Telia. ‘Shut up. Now throw it. At…’ Sephy looked around. ‘That apple.’ ‘What apple?’ ‘Not telepathic, then. Interesting, that. Well… throw it at the apple now.’ An apple materialised on a table. The new girl pulled back and threw in one single fluid motion. ‘Speed. Interesting form for that make of knife. Speed. Too slow to be… Yes, you muct be… But where did you get… Ah, well. Now. Telia. Nice ward. I’ve never done it that way. But I think I understand now. Thank-you.’ The doctor wandered over to a few of the patients. One caught a trailing end of his scarf and pulled. Hard. He gave a yelp as he toppled over backwards, being choked by his own beloved scarf. ‘What the…’ Sephy ran over to disentangle the timelord from his would-be murderer. ‘I don’t think these people like you.’ ‘Never you mind.’ William wandered over to them. ‘He’s never been right in his head.’ ‘Clearly.’ Gasped the Doctor, rubbing his neck gingerly.

"Varos?" Telia asked. "What are you on about Sephy? What do you understand?"
She looked on, almost bewildered. "How can you be choked by a scarf? It's like trying to hit someone with a clipboard - just doesn't work and looks incredibly stupid!"
The Doctor raised an eyebrow and opened his mouth to speak...before changing his mind and deciding it would be far wiser not to say a thing. He shook his head moodily and walked away, careful not to go within an armlength of the patients. He picked up the apple and tried to pull the knife out. Eiry wobbled over to help him. It was stuck hilt deep in the dead centre of the apple. Neither managed to remove it. Telia closed her eyes and felt the knife cut down, slicing through the apple, cutting it in half.
"Well, I was getting a little hungry.." the Doctor muttered, trying to retain his dignity. He picked up one half and started to munch on it. Eiry withdrew the knife and ate the other half.

Sephy stopped for a minute. just a stop. Eiry munched on her apple. at that moment, the 'mental patient' reached up and grabbed her leg, causing her to drop her knife. It landed on the floor, nicking her in the arm. 'ouch!' it healed up spectacularly. 'Oh, for the... I forgot again.' Sephy felt something drain, and she fell over. 'How is it that you have perfect footing whilst climbing trees, and yet you fall over when you are simply standing?' teased Telia. Sephy picked herself up wearily, and shook her head to clear it. 'I think i've done enough today.' And cut off the small healing spell that she had forgotten to finish on eiry. 'Stupid idiot...' Sephy mumbled to herself, swaying a little. Another gunshot fired. 'let's find out who shouldn't be here.' said the doctor, sweeping up his hat. 'oh, no not now, please.' Sephy was tired. very much so. 'Come, now.' He walked out of the door. 'wait...' telia giggled. He walked into the ward, and out the other side. 'What the...' 'Timelord.' laughed the doctor, tipping his hat. 'Oh, you.' Telia adjusted the weave to let her, eiry and Sephy through, and closed it again. 'Can you shield?' Asked Sephy. 'Yes. I said that before.' 'Right. Yes. You did. Sorry. eiry, can you?' 'no.' 'ok. you shield eiry. I'll shield jelly baby man.'

Telia looked at Sephy, a little concerned. "Are you alright? You seem drained. You have healed a lot of people, not to mention the snow from before.. I can shield the four of us.." She said, pulling forth her normal shield (it normally hovered either just under or just above her skin) until it formed a..bubble, I suppose, an oval shaped one around her. She did the same for Eiry, letting Eiry's shield modify itself to suit her needs.
Eiry looked up. "This is crazy. Suicide, you know? Running out into gunfire like this. That man was insane!" she declared.
((I have to go now..so...yeah. This is short. I know. But my brother needs it. Grr..))

‘I should be fine, for the moment.’ Smiled Sephy. The doctor looked towards the hills. Where could he turn for help? [my help comes for them lord whom heavn’ and earth has made…] He felt hopelessly lost and weary, an odd feeling for him. Telia and Sephy seemed to feel it too, and exchanged dark looks. Another series of gunshots rang out. Some bounced harmlessly off the shields. Sephy was reminded of when she ran away. It was in hills like these. And there were guns. She was too tired to keep her shields up as she ran on, hoping desperately that none of bullets would find their mark… She shook her head. That was over, now. Eiry looked shocked at the bullets, and threw her hands up in front of her face until she realised that they had not pierced her. The Doctor continued on, steps quickening. He walked faster and faster, and then broke into a jog, then a run, then an all-out sprint, his hair and scarf streaming out ridiculously behind him. Sephy looked confused and ran after him, followed closely by Telia and Eiry. He ran because he was scared. He ran because he was angry. He ran because he didn’t know what else to do. Sephy caught up with him, and grabbed him by the shoulders, yanking him back and turning him around roughly. ‘What was that?’ She demanded. ‘What’s going on?’ Asked Telia, coming up beside her. ‘I…’ Began the doctor, gasping to catch his breath ‘I…’

((great, now I have that in my head))
Telia looked at him, slightly puzzled. "You're out of breath." she stated. "You haven't even been running that far!"
The Doctor bent over, still dragging big gulps of air into his lungs. "Well...you..try...running...with...this...scarf!...I..don't...like...exercise!" He managed to get out between breaths.
Eiry, her eyes wide open, was still in a state of shock. She was babbling. "bullets...whydidn'ttheyhitme? What'sgoingon? I don'tlikethisdream! Makeitgoaway!! Whoarethesecrazypeople! Wakeup! Wakeup!" she repeated to herself randomly, squeezing her eyes shut and rocking slightly, back and forth.
"Well, I guess that means she's never seen shields before, or probably magick, at that. Which is much better for us. It means she can't use it herself." Telia commented, half to herself, half to Sephy. The Doctor, she ignored entirely, waiting for him to regain his breath.

The Doctor had to sit down. Sephy patted the doctor comfortingly on the back while turning to Eiry. 'Let's just say that not everything here is exactly the way you know it.' After a minute the Doctor's breathing had eased a little. 'I don't know what's gotten into me... I ran around the streets of france for hours without being like this.' 'Which one of you was that, though?' asked Sephy 'Still this one.' 'which one of you?' telia was confused. 'I'll explain it to you someday.' said the Doctor, getting up. As soon as he did, his knees buckled and he fell down again. 'Now that was interesting.' Muttered Sephy. 'mmmm' agreed telia. 'Perhaps this time warp [does the hand-jive] is getting to him. Like it did while you were in france.' 'Yes. Perhaps it is.' He smiled. 'As i recall, you fainted quite spectacularly.' 'I don't faint.' 'Okay... fell over.' 'not as dramatic.' 'collapsed?' 'Good enough.'

"Okay. So the 'time-warp' is affecting you. Sure. Whatever. But exactly why did you run out here? We should have stayed inside." Telia said, noting the complete difference from his standing, to falling over. Collapsing. Whatever. I mean, for once she was actually looking down at him..
"Should have. I don't like always doing what I should have done. Sooner or later, you find that you should have done somethign else in every little choice you make!" He said, trying to stand. He managed to get halfway up, before falling again.
"Don't tell me that's just from running.." Eiry muttered. "I've been going days without food or water, I'm still alright.."

The Doctor looked at Eiry, exparased.
"I don't think it is." Telia muttered.
Sephy was looking at the Doctor also, a little perplexed. She seemed tired. "Doctor, just tell us what's wrong. Why are we all out here?"
"Why am I seeing double?" Telia added, blinking. "Huh?" Eiry seemed to have lost the train of though a while back. "No, seriously. There's this Doctor, here. And then there's another one over there!" She pointed off into the distance where a vague shape of..Doctorness? could just be seen. Well, in her vision anyway. "I don't see a thing!" Eiry said. Sephy looked, and blinked also. Telia closed her eyes.
"Whoever that..whatever that is..it definently feels like the Doctor.." Telia said, her words long and meditative. She seemed to be in some sort of trance.

'but different.' added Sephy. 'Perhaps a different aspect of him.' A shadow ran past in the trees. The burst out of the growth. He came to stand in front of them, breathing hard. His wrists were bound. It looked nothing like the Doctor. Well, perhaps the shadow had. This man was still tall. He still had a mass of crazy curls, but they were blond. And his jacket was a mix of crazy colours that stood out way too much. He paused for a moment, looking at the DOctor, sitting wearily on the ground. He edged up to him, and they eyed each other for a long moment. then... 'Snap!' Exactly the same time. 'What are you doing here?' Asked the Doctor. 'I could ask the same of you.' 'We're here for the same thing, aren't we?' The other man nodded. They spoke at the same time. 'Random co-ordinates.' 'I was caught.' the newcomer plucked irritably at the ropes which bound his wrists. Telia went to cut through them. 'What did I say about using your Sabre for these things?' asked Sephy softly. 'I don't have a knife.' 'Then ask for one.' 'Can I have a knife?' 'Yes.' They stood, staring at each other for a long while. 'well?' 'You can have a knife.' 'Oh, you petty... may I have a knife?' 'Yes.' She handed Telia one, and turned to the new person. 'So, who are you?' 'I'm the doctor.' 'Regenerated?' 'Yes. The sixth one.'

Telia started sawing away at the ropes with the near blunt knife. "You'd think an assasin would have a sharp knife." she muttered, "I could have done this much faster with a sabre.." One of the ropes started to fray. She gave up in frustration. "Eiry, may I borrow one of your knives?" she asked, holding out a hand, handing the other one back to Sephy. Eiry complied in an almost dream-like state. She was staring at the two Doctors, her mind trying to puzzle things out.
"Thankyou." Telia said, slicing through the bonds with a single slash. "Regenerated? So..this new guy..is the doctor, but this one is the doctor too? Long Scarf and Crazy Coat? How is that possible? How can the two of you meet like this?"

‘We travel through space and time.’ ‘Looks like not enough space.’ Muttere Telia with a pointed glance at The new doctor’s stomach. ‘Oh, ha ha.’ ‘What do you mean my knife’s blunt?’ Sephy snatched it back. ‘This is the best steel from tear! It would never blunt.’ She examined it closely. ‘Of course, Telia that’s usually because people use the sharp side of the blade.’ She picked up the rope and slashed it again. It chopped neatly in half. ‘I was using the right side’ shouted Telia indignantly. She snatched it back, and demonstrated on the rope. It again appeared to be blunt. ‘now, now ladies.’ Said the Doctors with a barely concealed smile. Until their doctor fell over backwards again, as if someone had kicked him squarely in the chest. ‘okay…’ “crazy coat” stepped over to his younger incarnation and placed both hands on the sides of his head. ‘Well, there’s someone in his brain.’ He muttered, and winced. ‘I hoped I’d never see that thing again… oooh, I don’t remember that… I definitely don’t remember that …’
