"You don't talk much, do you?" Kaide grinned at Soki, as she walked into the clearing. She stopped beside the pink berry bush and gathered a few handfuls, and putting them into the small leather bag, still holding some from earlier that day. Looking up, she spotted an orange tree. "Yum." She muttered standing up, and walking over to it.

Kaide shook her head. "Well, think of something." She grinned and pulled a few oranges off the tree. "Want one?" She looked ready to toss him an orange. "There's lots." She noded her head to the tree. There was an apple tree nearby as well.

Kaide smiled at him, before walking over to the apple tree. She picked a few, placing them gently into her bag. "That should be enough." She sighed and picked up one of the ones from the ground, taking a bite out of it. "We should go find Skai." She said to herself, standing up straight, and pulling her hood over her head.

"Uh, yeah, they'll fit fine, uh, Skai." Cassandra felt unnaturally nervous around Skai, as if she was around some of her father's nobleman friends.

Kaide laughed slightly, seeing Soki trying to keep up with her. She slowed her pace so it would be easier for him. "Heh..Sorry." She smiled at him then turned back to look towards the trees ahead.

Skai looked up at the girl. She could hear Kaide coming towards them. "Hey, um, if your going to leave that note, I suggest you do it now. My friend is coming to find me. You run along and I'll tell her you're coming." She nodded towards the house where Guinivere had come from.

Soki greatly appreciated the slowing down.
"I'm sorry.. I can already tell I'm going to be a burden...."
The people he had met he could already tell,had special abilities that seperated them from others. He felt a bit out of place... all he could do was swing a sword exceptionally well.

"Oh, right! Um, yeah. I'll be quick." Cassandra dashed off toward the house to find a quill and parchment.

"You won't be a burden. It's just...my elven blood is what makes me like this. I'm naturally fast." She puled her hood back again, showing her long, pointed ears.
They went around a small curve in the path, and Kaide saw Skai siting on the tree trunk only about ten yards away. "Hello Skai! What are you doing here?" She walked up to her friend.
Skai looked up, and smiled at Kaide. "I'm waiting for a new friend. Her name's Guiniver, or so she tells me. She'll be coming with us." She nodded towards the small house only a little ways away. "She leaving a note for her father now." Skai spotted the young man behind Kaide. "So your friend decided to come, eh?" she nodded to Soki.

Cassandra slapped the parchment down on the table. She dipped her quill in her inkwell and quickly began to write:
"Dear Father, a young woman has kindly asked me to join her andher friends on their jouney. I gladly accepted her offer, and will be far by the time you read this note. Goodbye, Father. Your Daughter, Cassandra."
She almost ran out the door when she backtracked, finally decided her embroidered slippers were better off in the cottage. She ran out to meet the group that had by now gathered around a tree stump.
"Hello," she whispered, out of breath.

Kaide nodded to Skai then turned back to look at Soki. "Yes, she's a full bloof elf. Her father is the highest Elven Cleric." She frowned slightly, then took another meager bite out of the apple she still held.
Skai smiled at Soki, then looked at Guinivere. "welcome back. Kaide, this is Guinivere. Guinivere, this is Kaide. My long time friend. And this is..Kaide's friend. I don't know his name." She motioned to Soki.
