Hey everyone!

I put one .. but I think I should have put two, because I play tenor trombone and bass trombone.

I've played trombone for four years now ... I love it!

*waves*

It's nice to talk to other people who play lower brass for a change. Most of my friends play flute or clarinet.

I'm on my sixth year playing trombone. Aside from playing around with the guitar for the last couple years, I've never played anything else. I might try to learn the fingerings for baritone eventually, but I dunno.

Congrats on your 3rd place, Blizzardmist! ^__^

And welcome, Wilhem. :] I play the trombone, too, and a bit of baritone. My friend taught me. sweatdrop I play flute pretty fluently, though.

I don't understand..... our band got first place at Pigskin and we advanced to the area round next week. The wierd thing is that we didn't even cheer or put up a smile! I didn't feel happy because it was expected and our goal is state. Wouldn't you guys agree that being good takes the fun out of band because you don't get that feeling of proving ppl wrong? wink

I play a lot of instruments; however, my favorite instrument is the bari sax, and as that's all-to-often called low brass, I figured it'd be alright to mention it...

Marching season: Tenor sax (I'm too skinny and weak to march with the bari... sweatdrop ).

Concert season: bari, tenor, alto, or soprano sax, Bflat, Eflat alto, bass, or contrabass clarinet, oboe, bassoon, contrabassoon, assorted percussion, and tuba. For the most part, though, I just play bari (I have a silver one of my own! heart _ heart )

Jazz band: I ish teh bari, but I sometimes get switched to other saxes or the bass when needed (they had another decent bari that year, and there were some difficult solos on other instruments...not to brag).

I've always wanted to know how to play the sax... o_o 'Specially the tenor. That instrument is sexy. *cough* Anyway, I've never heard bari's referred to as low brass. It's new to me. whee
