You've got an interesting perspective there, the idea that people who aren't as smart as you are inferior. Tell me a few things. First of all, how can you be so sure about everything that you say if, in fact, you "constantly doubt things you know"? Oh, right, that's "just how you do things". Funny, but that sorta sounds like religion. "Don't ask us why we believe this, or how it makes sense, it's just how we do things."

I didn't lie to myself about what color I liked, I reasoned with myself about it. I decided based on what seemed to make sense. Will you now critisize me for using logic? That thing which you seem to hold so dear...

And do you actually think, as a 15-year-old, that you are really smarter than every person who believes in God, merely because you doubt his existance? Let me tell ya hun, I don't believe in him either, yet I don't think that I'm any better than people (as a whole) who do. You can call it western morals, but frankly, I think it may actually be called "thinking in a realistic manner". Wait, I thought that you were all for that kind of thinking? Guess you aren't. So what exactly are you advocating, anyways?

"Scientists will never believe in a theory." That's an odd statement. I know for a fact that many, many, many scientists believe in the theory of evolution. Even more believe in the theory of relativity. All of the science community as a whole may not believe these theories, but the ones that don't are, generally, RELIGIOUS. Fancy that, the non-religious scientists believe in the thories, while the religious ones doubt them. How totally unlike what you're saying!

Burning bush- Moses was rumored to have some mental issues. He had a speach impediment, and he wasn't necessarily the brightest bulb in the bunch, it's easy to see how he could be tricked into thinking that a bush was talking to him. And the Hebrews probably believed him because, well, he had just rescued them from years of slavery. He musta been a special guy.
Adam and Eve- There actually was a Garden of Eden-ish place. Tales of it must have been passed from generation to generation, and evolves over time so that it became what it is today. And in some ways, it was an explanation of why snakes had legs, why women give birth, why people wear clothing, and, most importantly, why people have the power of higher reasoning, and are able to think about what they do in a way that animals allegedly cannot.
Healing the Blind Man- Can't help you there. Never heard of it. But there's probably a reason.

Well, I've heard of Darwin and Galileo.
Plato and Socrates created their own beliefs. For example, Plato once wrote an allegory describing how most humans were like people chained to a wall in a cave in such a way that they could see the shadows of other humans doing things such as carrying packages and whatnot, but never truly saw light. Then one day, one suddenly breaks free and...I won't go into detail, but it basically outlined the idea that humans needed to realize that there is more out there than what we can see, and that we need to strive to find it. A rose by any other name...sounds like God to me.
You said great scientists and philosophers, not accurate ones.

Lastly, how exactly do you expect anyone to take you seriously if you can't state your point without saying "hell" and dropping an "f" bomb- right in the same sentence? It's one thing to be passionate, quite another to be disrespectful.

You've got an interesting perspective there, the idea that people who aren't as smart as you are inferior.

You've got an interesting perspective there too... that somebody who is more stupid than somebody else is still equal?

No, that doesn't sound like religion at all actually.
I haven't trained myself to think a certain way, thats just how I do it.
Christians aren't born christians, they're born new slimy and weird looking. Christianity is something that is put into you.

Okay.. now I'm starting to think you're just a pretty unintelligent individual.
If you like jazz music, but you're into the punk scene and you say that punk is your favourite music, thats LYING to yourself. That doesn't have anything to do with logic, that has something to do with conforming yourself to your own wishes, trying to be something that you're not.
If orange isn't your favourite colour... it's just not your favourite colour!

I think I'm smarted than every person who believes in God merely because I have the capacity, and the basic instinct, or atleast intellect to doubt his existence.

Haha now you're starting to make me laugh. You think adopting western or Christian morals is thinking in a realistic manner? Maybe you're just not a very realistic person then.
Thinking in a realistic manner is going off your experiences, and using your own conscience to decide what is right and what is wrong. Did you ignore my example of same sex marriage? A western moral is that gay marriage is wrong, but is that thinking in a realistic manner? Nope. I'll let you decide whether or not you've got some double standards there, shall I? wink

Science is a way of thinking. Ever heard that phrase?
Theories can be accepted only because it is the most plausable, but will only be accepted until a new and better theory comes along. That's another difference between religion and science! No certainty in science, because it's based on LOGIC. I'm actually quite confused as to how you can't grasp this.
And uhh.. do you know WHY religious people doubt them? Because they believe in CREATIONISM.

It's also rumoured that the Bible is a load of crap that should never be taken seriously at this stage of technology and understanding in our world. 3nodding

Ooh really? Well I can give you some reasons too. Snakes had legs cos they used to be normal lizards, but they thought that was so typical having legs so they cut them off biggrin
Women give birth cos men and women drew straws and women won biggrin
Why don't I start a religion?

I find it hard to respect somebody who can hardly understand what I'm actually saying, and compliments their own opinions with irrelevent phrases such as "thinking in a realistic manner", and thinking that it's 'logical' to force themselves to like a specific colour more, because she thinks it would be a non-conformist thing to do.
Oh, and I'm sorry if I'm disrespecting you by dropping the "f" bomb... but then... maybe that means you should just get out of your bloody westernised box.
If you weren't gay/bisexual, I don't doubt that you wouldn't be all for it.

As a matter of fact, I love orange. mrgreen It's my favorite color. It makes me really happy. Reminds me of a certain type of flower I saw once. Prettiest flower I've ever seen. I also love the fruit. Orange trees are really cool. Orange is awesome!

He doesn't get a pass though since he was their leader and everything. Hitler was gay and a Jew? *shrug*

Sam-034
Nakita Kisa

Hitler wanted to be one of the closest to God, so he gathered a following to kill Jews for turning their back on Christ, Homosexuals, other races.
He wanted the perfect race of man to be in heaven, thinking he was doing Godly work.

Hitler was Jewish AND homosexual..Or So I've heard. But doesn't it say thou shalt not kill?..Well he didn't TECHNICALLY kill anyone...

either way, he killed himself, so hes screwed

Saint Christafur
I'm Christian.
Once I though I shouldn't be because everything sucked for awhile, and it was funny I went into a bathroom of a Church I didn't go to and wrote "******** Your God." on a piece of paper I ripped off of another bigger sheet of paper.
I guess it was kinda mean really..
It was funny how the preacher dude automaticly blamed me and Adri for it though.
I'm not usually the one to wear black baggy clothes and s**t but I tried to be the steriotype of goth that morning.
And Adri did too.
It was so funny and then they said we were having sex in the bathroom.
We weren't and I asked him why he was in the chicks bathroom anyway.
I got in trouble for it but oh well.
I'm Christian now though.
Like 'cause now I'm posotive God is there.
He like answered one of the biggest prayers ever.

yo whimmy, i noticed you didn't comment on what i said earlier you big slobberring peice of s**t!
so i will copy and paste it in the hope your eyes aren't as blind as your soul.
Ok then, what do you believe in Mr. "all christians are twats"?
And what logic are people supposed to doubt when they have faith?
i have doubted that Christ is God but only because the only way i know him as God is from man and as most people know man are very selfish and usually poewer hungry so that is why i doubt and think and worry over that, but what else are we supposed to doubt? The very existence of our Lord God? Personalle i have deep faith in God, not because of what he has done for me, in fact i will post my bio up here

i was born in california in Indio. and i had many friends and i lived with my mom, i dont remember my dad being with us there ever
then at 3 and a1/2 we moved with my dad to oregon leaving behind all my friends
the new place i moved to roseburg or all the kids i met picked on me and laughed at me.
i thought that the day-care persons son was nice, and we were friends on and off, but when i was six, he made me give him oral sex.=( then he raped me off and on(this happened on and off untill i was 9, he was four years older than me)
i never told anyone until when i was 15(when i came out to my mother)
also my father was a druggie and an alchoholic
he yelled at me lots and he threw me around a few times
i had no where to take my frustrations out on so i took them out on my dog Buddy i used to hit him with a broom and he never bit me. i found out this was bad and i had to stop it, so i did and me and Buddy became best friends.
before i had also broken my aunts dogs leg and they had to amputate it. i feel like an a*****e and it hurts me to this very day what i have done wrong..
when i was five i got two kittens for the first time
i was so happy
we went on vacation and when i came back they told me that they killed one of them(asleep) because of a disease it had
then we got a german sheperd puppy and, he was very cool and cute, his name was Baloo. we then went on vactation and took my other dog buddy with us and i pleaded with my dad to bring baloo also but he said no and so we left him in the kennel, when we came back Baloo went up in the forest and it took me an hour to get him back (i was nine, ) then he started drinking alot of water and started throwing it up and we took him to the vet, about 5 minutes after we got there he died throwing up his guts right after i had held him and said he would be fine.
then when i was 10 they killed my first and best friend buddy (my dog)
throughout my life i have had kids pick on me, they just started to lay off last year
i have only had one real friend that was a guy, but he moved last summer and i had no idea cuz i was in nebraska.=(
buddy was a german sheperd dog
there have been a few other things but that is mainly it
i didn't even get to say goodbye to him.=(
and since last year i havn't been able to really cry, even wheni rly need to.=(
also my dad is dying from lung cancer and even after everything he has done to me i still love him and want him to live.=( i never really have hope any more i just try to get things done mechanically.
i always knew something was wrong with me, i always liked to dress like a girl and hang out with the girls and it seemed i allways had thought like a girl, when i was 12 i found the word transgender and i put it together. as of now i am in therapy and trying to get hormones to begin my life.

everything in that is the truth and the only reason i have not killed myself is because of my belief in God, i really have no idea why i believe in God aafter all of this but i do and it is a belief i would be willing to die for. I have helped people before and i have hurt people before, and sometimes i dont think about it, it just happens.
Oh could you please explain again why all religious peoples are twats? i forgot.

you said religious people are stubborn, you are being stubborn.
and you dislike people who believe in God for no apparant reason, and those "great" thinkers only believe in logical proof, and to believe in God is to have blind faith and if i ever saw you and recognized you walking on a street corner i would try to talk to you but if you insisted on calling me names then i would beat you to within an inch of your life (i think killing is wrong no matter what prik it is)

oh yeah and one more thing...........GO F YOURSELF YOU PIECE OF FECES!!!!!

All you examples I've pretty much proved to be invalid, so... yes! 3nodding
I insult people on things that I know about them. You've never met me before have you? Nope. But youre angry with things you know about me? Yes.

Great... now you love orange. What exactly is this proving?

I was doomed to win this argument from the beginning.

And I mean, if you weren't bisexual/gay, which I presume you are, being on this forum and all, I doubt that you would be so supportive of homosexuals.
You've accepted all these other western morals just like that, exept, so it seems, that homosexuality is wrong. So, if you weren't, would you've accepted that one too? Probably.
