Lyra grinned at finally enticing Jade to attack, she set back to her left side then stepped forward, leaving them back to back for a moment. The air seemed to thicken as she slowly dropped the facade. Ramming the moonstone capped hilt directly to Jade's other unbruised side. In one fluid motion she flipped the long dagger she had pulled from her boot to back slash across Jades pret-tty face.

For a split second the cut she had made on her hand was partialy visible around the dagger, oddly enough the blood on the glove was dark as though it were days old and the wound was quickly becoming covered by a hint of green foliage.

The strangest emotion passed across Lyra's face- Delight?

"Yallume! Quell"

She exclaimed in the Elven tongue having momentarily forgotten her Common in her excitement, her grin changed to a vindictively wicked smirk as she looked upside down at Jade from the ground. Jade had gotten her space for the moment but that smile filled one with a little more doubt than the triumph that was deserved.

Slamming her long knife into the soft earth just beside her head she rippled herself up from the ground, regaining her footing facing away. Pausing only a moment to regard her rose bush and decide upon a lovely finish.

Then using a old show trick, she back flipped by planting her right hand firmly in the ground beside her dagger bringing it up with her at the last.

"Kwara sina ten'amin..."

This one she aimed tip first for Jade's stomach, then transfered her sword once again to her right side. Tucking the left arm behind her back she took a fencing stance, sword line low, and waited. Still smiling.

As Jade heard the words she blinked she knew those words; Elven. Her brain tried to force a translation that she quickly forgot as she saw the dagger coming towards her. This dagger would hurt, do damage to her if she didn't move soon.

Spinning to the left she let the dagger pass by her harmlessly and smiled some as her brain finally made the connection. 'Hold this.'

Hold that? You want me to bloody hold that? Where, in my damn stomach you stupid half Elf. Jade thought to herself as she dropped into a defensive stance for a moment. She was done with letting this woman play her for a fool and she would dash to the right before changing directions and pressing off her left foot hard she would cut down at Lyra.

There was a difference in her now, some sort of change had taken place although it was only visible in the physical form by the change in her eyes. Not only had the red flared there but she had lost the playful look that once resided there and now she seemed to take on a much more serious look. Something in her seemed to have woken up.

A sudden disturbance causes the hundreds of birds roosting in the trees to abruptly explode out of their once save haven and franticly fly off in the direction of the tranquil town. The sound of wind blows through the trees, past the long trunks and small brush, past two fighters in the midst of a quarrel. Hushed voices follow the wind and linger on the ears of the two creatures. The voices are barely audible, and just as the two are about to grasp the meaning of the words, the voices drift away.

A burst of leaves from the other side of the meadow quickly draws the creatures' attention. A shadowy figure erupts from the leaves and flies across the meadow. A cape billows out behind the figure on its descent. As its foot touches the grass between the two, time slows down. The slow moving cape exposes a medium-built body adorned in a simple black shirt and a pair of black pants. Hanging from each side of a belt, two pieces of grey cloth move through the air, dancing with the black cape. Each arm, reaching out behind the body, is covered in a gauntlet. Both are radically different but somehow go together.

As its right arm, wearing the red gauntlet, passes the brown-haired creature, a gust of hot air hits her. The same happens to the other, but instead of hot air, an icy breeze from the blue gauntlet engulfs the blonde-haired one. When the dark figure pushes off the ground to begin its next leap, it slightly turns its head to the brown-haired creature to reveal a fox mask underneath a hood. Through slits in the mask, the moonlight reflects red. As the figure's back foot leaves the ground time catches up with itself and the black cape disappears into the leaves. The wind dies down and the birds relax and come back to their trees. The warm and cool feelings linger for a time though.

Seven stood quickly and ran off the edge of the tavern. He jumped into the air letting the wind carry him up towards the clouds. He made his way to the temple. No way to be sure this is where he was going, but either way the old man was sure to go to greet him.Two small ducks land on the building next to Seven. Good work number five. This was definately worth mentioning

As the large shadow passed across Lyra's face she didn't even flinch until it landed and her dance was interrupted. A low growl of displeasure directed towards the intruder was abruptly cut short by the sensation of warmth. Emotion? Her breath drew sharply in as her heart stopped beating for a moment. Memories, of joy, of sorrow, of pain, and of...passion. They coursed through her in a violent torrent, searing her mind and soul. It had taken her several decades to carefully build the strongwall she used to shield herself from these, and to have it be torn down in the matter of one heart beat was almost devastating.

After what seemed eternity she looked up to the cause, her eyes had changed to the color of the deepest ocean, delicately accented by the fact that they were now brimming with tears. Finally, once he was gone, she began to breath once more.

Well, that's just lovely, now-

The random thought was left unfinished for even though she could see the deadly attack her reflexes momentarily evaded her, collapsed down to one knee. Unfortunately, allowing Jade's sword a slice out of her shoulder and a small bite out her face on the way down. Thankfully, the kick at least was aimed a little higher than her tear stained face at this point.

Lyra caught the next swing of Jade's blade in a curved sword breaker from her other boot, it was very difficult to escape once caught in one and if she so choose, Jade's sword would be no more. Out of respect for the weapon she refrained from anything else than simply holding off any more attacks. Her eyes closed she listens carefully, waiting for Jade to either attack in another way or relax just enough to give her a clear opening.

The first drops of blood from the fresh wound run like dye down her white sleeve, quickly reaching for her sword hand which was currently supporting most of her weight. Vines begin to creep from her palm and gently begin to cradle the sword hlit itself.

The first thing Jade did when he sword was caught was to let go of it. She couldn't afford to have it broken. In her left hand was the dagger still and she would quickly push forward.

Instead of attacking with the dagger Jade would try something more simple and just punch at Lyra aiming for her chest with an open palm, her only hope was to knock Lyra off balance so that perhaps she could plan her next move.

As the town prepares for the arrival of the fox king, the Temple High Monk puts his had in front of his mouth as he yawns. The people had worked non-stop ever since they were told about the message. To the east the sky dimly glowed. He hadn't got any sleep. It wouldn't have been a problem if he had been younger. He rubbed his back and tried to stand up straighter. There was still a lot to do; some of the stands still needed to be put up, the parade still needed to get situated, the fighting ring was still down, and fire works hadn't been positioned yet. The looked at all the people and smiled; they were all excited for this day would be one that they would never forget.

The monk, began to walk down the main road, between the stands and the conversing people, lending his aid to anyone that might need it.
