Azumi smiled and followed D-chan in to the other room, giving Moro a reasuring glance before exiting.
Morosina watches a little pathetically as her mother leaves, but snaps out of it as she remembered that she had to learn to become less attached and a little more independant. Eyes soon became fixed on the pages that Dai turned in front of them, only to be startled by the huge gusts of wind that blew in as the HQ's door flew open.
She didn't look imediatly towards the door, eyes watched as the old pages flipped and turned with such speed when Dai's hands came off of them. Silver strands whipped around her face when she turned her head. She saw it and saw it almost as clear as day despite that this shadowey figure was a little blurred around the edges. Moro had seen things like this before, but only they were colorful and seemed real enough to the touch...And they were never threatening like this, at least the ones she knew weren't. It could be said that because she had never been threatend, or something like that, by a ghost or spirit, was the reason that Morosina didn't scream or panic. The girl just clung to Dai's arm and watched with owl wide eyes as hair continued to billow and the cold, wet wind nipped harshly at the parts of her face that weren't safe behind the fur ruf.
Black ears flicked back as the harsh sound of wind caught them. The werewolf stopped her rummaging with D-chan in some other room and stood up straight with her eyes to the door of the room. A worried look was given to her friend, but the idea of a spirit or anything of the sort evaded her mind since Azumi was not the kind to see ghosts.

D-chan's ears flick back as the gust of wind howls into the shop. Her hand grips a newly discovered bundle of candles as she bounces out of the closet and races down the hall to the main room where the two Legend children wait. "We must not have closed the door well enough," she hisses, forcing the heavy slab of wood back into its frame against the fierce wind that fights her every step of the way.
She knows it is a lie even as she says it. She clearly recalls hearing the door click after Azumi and Morosina entered. Besides, why would it only open now, of all times? The wind should have opened it long before if such were the case. Even so, her attention turns to the two children on the couch--
The half-fox pauses. Out of the corner of her eye...she saw a shape. As her green-gold eyes glance in the direction of the figure, though, it is gone.
A soft shudder rolls down her spine as she pads to the couch and sits down beside her young charge, wrapping her arms gently around his narrow frame. "Shhh, it's okay, I'm here," she whispers, drawing him closer. "It's okay, I know, it won't hurt you."
Dai, for his part, is completely unrelenting. He cuddles closer to his guardian, resting his head on her shoulder, his forehead resting on the soft fur of her neck. He knows what happened...he knows perfectly well. And, in the same way, he knows that D-chan is just trying to be optimistic and make him think of other things, rather than the truth...
He tries to fight away the tears, brushing a hand over his eyes while the other clings tight to his book. "What do they want?" he whispers breathily, giving up on his tears and clinging to the fox-girl's shirt.
D-chan sighs and shakes her head. "I don't know," she murmurs.
From beside the doorway, the shadowed form seems to sigh. The boy simply doesn't want to understand that he will have to own up to his history one day...and the sooner he grows accustomed to the fate that met his predecessor, the better off he will be.
But, really, that must wait for some other time. As Azumi charges down the hall, the figure walks across the doorway to the main room and vanishes into the wall.

Azumi flew in after D and didn't stop her running until she was right in front of Moro. Going to her knees so that her eyes were right at her daughter's she extended her arms and bundled up the fluffy thing of silver, green, and white. "Shhh," she whispered as the girl let go of Dai's arm and flung herself into her mother's. Head burrowed in to her guardian's shoulder and neck, hands cluthing her shirt and small legs wrapping best they could around Azumi's torso.
It was after a few minutes that the now flushed face of Morosina showed itself. The girls expression was startled, a little frightend now, but suprisingly no tears had run themself down her cheeks. "I saw it momma...I saw it...." was all she said in a tone that quivered from start and was as hushed as a whisper. Green and golden lanterns continued to look at her guardian, hoping that she had answers to explain why this spirit acted the way it did. Azumi kissed Moro's forehead and said in a calm whisper like voice,"I know, it's okay.." Head turned to D-chan to see if her guess of something supernatural was what scared the children so. Azumi could not see ghost or spirits, but she knew Moro could and felt so helpless when she could not give her daughter an answer to these things. "Is he alright?" she finally asked, still wondering about her silent question, as wine hued orbs looked to D and the terrified Dai.
Morosina looked as well and over to her friend. Only a little frightend by this encounter, she saw that it had a deeper affect on Dai. "Dai..?" she said in a small voice that held fear in the tought that her newest and only friend was hurt or something.

"I saw it, too," D-chan whispers, settling herself on the couch and pulling Dai closer, almost into her lap as she would have when he was far younger. The boy makes no protest, simply clinging with fierce intensity to the half-fox's shirt. "But I tell you this much...it didn't feel like something malevolent. It felt...rather disappointed, in all honesty. Her black-furred hand runs gently over the boy's soft, wild hair as she looks to the place where she swore she saw the spirit. "I should have brought Kura," she grumbles. "That'll teach me for leaving home without her."
"Leave wi'out me?" The angelic kitsune grins as D-chan jumps, dragging a startled Dai with her. Kura fights her way out of the fox-girl's bag, still firmly attached to her back, and flutters to rest between Azumi and the half-fox. "Imposs'ble."
Dai very nearly laughs as the nocturnal guardian makes her sudden entrance...but he holds back as the implications fall firmly to rest on his shoulders.
She knew.
The boy reaches out and pets the kitsune's head, watching her ears flick back in pleasure. "What did it want?" he asks quietly. She looks up at him with bright blue eyes, a soft smile still etched on her vaguely human face. The soft grin tells him all he needs to know.
She won't tell. Not yet.

Both Morosina and Azumi brought their heads back slightly as the watched this smal angelic little kitsune pop from D-chans bag and land between everyone. The pair said nothing but Morosina slipped out a little giggle at this cute but odd creature.
Black ears or the werewolf turned forward to catch everyword in hopes of understanding what everyone else saw and sensed. It was times like these that Azumi felt stupid. Sure she knew everything about zoology and almost all ancient texts, but the spirit relm was just out of her league.
The short canid girl wriggled and moved so that she sat in her mother's lap with her back against her. With a few manipulations of the fur ruf, it's bulf managed to cover half of the Legend's face along with her shoulders, half her torso and back, and most of her neck that was always hidden. Newley wind blown silver locks settled theselves on the white and silver tipped fur and small wolf ears mimicked her mother's movements. Behind her eyes the emotions of fear, curiosity, and delight which came from this new thing named Kura, showed clearly as she too listend.

D-chan shakes her head in amazement. "You know, Kura, you will never cease to amaze me," she sighs. "But there must be a reason you came. I know you. You don't come with me unasked unless something's up. So what is it?" The fox-girl realizes that Azumi and Morosina are interested in the little kitsune now sitting between them, happily purring under Dai's touch. One cool blue eye stares up at the fox-girl, drawing a weak half-smile from her. "You knew something like this might happen," she murmured."
"Hai," Kura replies shortly, shuffling a bit closer to Dai so that he doesn't have to reach so far to pet her. Besides, having his full hand on her head is much nicer than just getting the fingertips. He is always so nice and warm...not as warm as D-chan, of course, but he comes in close second often enough. Not many people radiate as much heat as the fox-girl does on a daily basis, after all. "Spirit. Yuu-rei." Her gaze slowly travels across the room, coming to rest on a nearby arm-chair. "There."
At Kura's short, convinced bark, Dai stiffens. His green-gold eyes slowly focus on the chair, where he can easily make out the figure that opened the door mere minutes before. To him, there are no hazy edges on the form. The ghost in question is a true enigma, seeming neither male nor female as it sits patiently in the armchair, watching him with soft eyes that glitter out of a raven face. "Why?" he whispers, clinging tighter to the fox-girl.

Morosina looked first to the red armchair, the one where she first saw Dai when she came here. A small,"ah," or a gasp escaped her lips as she noticed this black ghost for the first time since the door swung open. Aside from blurry edges, everything else about this thing was clear and highly defind in her eyes. Heart beat quickend in her small chest as she gripped her mother's shirt strap on her shoulder. Small ears flattend, she didn't like this enigma/spirit thing or whatever everyone else called it.
Azumi soon followed everyone elses gaze, but all she saw was an empty chair. nothing unusual about it, nothing that indicated there was something there. A small sigh came from her, but wine red eyes continued to look, desperatly searching for a sight she knew she would never be able to see.

D-chan stares at the chair, her face a mask of concentration. Unfortunately, Dai is right: she can only see a ghost on a good day, or out of the corner of her eye on any other. She can only catch a brief vision of haze each time her eyes dart about. Cautious, she averts her gaze until she can finally see the ghost in its entirety from the edge of her peripheral vision.
And quite a ghost it is. Everything about it exudes indecision and compromise, from the shape that is neither male nor female to the suit that is cut for both at the same time. A soft smile crosses the phantom's face as it watches Dai pale further, color seeming to drain out of his hair as well as his face.
The apparition stands and offers a graceful bow to all assembled. "Good day," it murmurs. Even the voice seems caught between genders, and somehow manages to fluctuate between alto and tenor tones with startling ease. "Unfortunately, I cannot stay. But I will answer all your questions in time...if, that is, you can answer mine." It is quite obvious that the last words are directed soley at Dai.
The figure straightens and, in an instant, is lost from D-chan's sight.
Kura, on the other hand, follows the figure as it passes away from the chair and to the door. Her eyes narrow as the pinpricks of fire that are the phantom's eyes lock with hers...
...and then it is gone, passing through the door with the ease of a magician performing an old trick. The kitsune relaxes, shuffling still closer to the shivering Dai and nudging his hand with her head, mewling for attention.
Dai, however, is in no mood to interact. He carefully pulls D-chan's tail around him, as though hoping her warmth will stave off the icy cold that is slowly overtaking him. What did it mean? Questions? He had no questions...only a strange terror that he could not place.

Black, pointed auds of the werewolf twitched just slightly during the time when this invisible thing chose to speak. Her heart jumped a bit as she hoped that maybe deeper senses detected something, but she wasn't sure. The guardian's eyes just continued to flick from the chair and to other random parts of the room in hopes of noticing this apparition. Morosina flattend her ears at the oddly voiced spirit and a scowl crossed her face at it's words. She wasn't sure why she acted this way, but somewhere inside her mind she did not like this.."thing." As far back as the little girl could remember, she had always been able to see spirits, but none had eer given her such a haunting feeling. Hate was thrown at this thing as it left for she didn't like anything that could frighten a friend or loved one as much as it frightend Dai at this time.
"What did that thing want?" said the little girl in a tone of disgust that she didn't use very often. Green gold lanterns were now staring at the door, still closed, her ears remained flattend to silver strands.

D-chan shakes her head, her ears flat against her skull. "Sounds like it wanted to be a sphynx, only with a little species confusion," she grumbles. She looks down at Dai, one hand resting on his head and gently ruffling his hair. "You okay kid?" she asks quietly. The look of panic in his green-gold eyes answers that question well enough. "I'll take that as a no," she sighs. A quick glance out the window ascertains that the rain has finally calmed to a soft patter. "I think that's enough excitement for one day, don't you?" she asks Azumi. She sounds tired, though, somewhere on the brink of defeat. "I think we'll be heading home now...but I hope we'll see you again." She stands, bowing politely before taking Dai's hand.
The Legend takes the offered hand without any sign of a fight. He clings to the book with one hand and follows meekly in the half-fox's tracks. As she opens the door and steps out, his gaze flickers back to the couch where Morosina still sits...and he offers the briefest of smiles to her before vanishing into the soft rain.

Azumi smiled and bowed her head in return as the two left the HQ. The electricity had already flickered on a few minutes ago, but it was only just now noticed. Looking down at the top of her Legend's head she spoke, "well, do you think it's time to leave?"
At the question, small black tiped ears perkerd once more and Morosina tilted her head back to look up at her mother. With a nod she said in a small voice,"yes momma..." So she slid down on to the floor as her mother stood and both headed towards the door.
"Momma?" asked Morosina as Azumi turned the door knob,"we will see them again, right?" Her voice was layered in hope as she gazed up at the blonde werewolf.
"Hm? Of course! And they don't live that far away, so maybe we can even drop in when the time is right," a laugh sounded as she spoke and she took Moro's hand in hers as she ushered her through the now open door. With a click from the lock, both set out to the sidewalk and began the long walk home. A light drizzle of rain fell on the pair as a few squeeks could be heard from Moro everytime she sloshed through a puddle.

(( Playing around with new concept and so once more, it's a first intro and stuff ^_<; ))
"Maya..Please don't try to sew and walk at the same time..Remember last week?" stated a blonde, half werewolf to an oddley dressed girl who seemed around the age of 6-7.
Copper colored eyes broke from the eger motions of working a skinny needle and black thread through a small doll, it's shape not able to be registered from it's held position. Steady gaze looked up at her motherly figure and reluctantly she stuck the needle into the doll and stopped her work. "Momma...Why do we have to go today? No one was here last time and it's going to be empty," questioned the tanned girl.
"We don't know that it'll be empty, Maya, and besides, don't you want to meet other Legends?" chirped the woman with a small smile as she grasped the small girl's hand.
Finally the pair arrived infront of the Legends HQ, which was actually a house...Or so that's what it seemed to be to the werewolf. Stopping before the closed door, Azumi bent down and started to fix Maya's hair; trying to put stray hair in it's places and tucking a thin, maroon/mohogany hued dredlock behind her ear. When done, they both crept into the deserted HQ and the black wolf ears of the woman were met with a...
"See, I told you momma, no one's here..." said the legend with a small hint or pride at proving her mother wrong; it was a little 'game' they shared., but there was also a dab of sadness and a pinch of annoyance that thy even had to come this long way for nothing.

"Okay. On the count of three. One...two...three!!"
Two hands slapped down into open palms, forming familiar symbols: a flat hand, or sheet of paper; and a closed fist, or a rock. "AHA!! I WIN!!"
"Obviously," a thin voice sighs. "Fine, fine. We go to the HQ and you pick lunch."
"You have no faith in me." D-chan presses her hand against the doorknob, feeling the cool metal through her fur before pulling the door open and stepping inside. "Come on, Kerri!"
"I'm coming," the girl sighs, her bat wings fluttering against her back as she gathers up the sticks she had dropped. Contrary to what she had told the half-fox, they had predicted D-chan's victory...not her own. Obviously precognition was on her guardian's side today.
Even so, she smiles as she bounds up the stairs into the house that is the Legend Headquarters, her tall bat ears flicking back at the sudden change between hot, humid air to cool, dry air. She ran a hand through her short-cropped brown hair, looking around calmly while her left hand gripped the bag where her premonitious twigs resided.
D-chan blinks as she enters the headquarters, closing the door with a sharp click behind her. "Oh! Hello!" she laughs. "Look, luck is on our side today!" she laughs. "How are you? I'm D-chan Spiro. And this little bat is Kerri."
The bat smiles enigmatically before turning to safely roll her eyes behind the fox-girl's back. She knew that there would be people...or, rather, she had a strong suspicion. She had done a number of readings before they left...and most said that there would be an interesting meeting in store.

As the new pair came through the door with jubalistic greetings, the witch-doctor like girl, Maya, gave such a start that she ducked to hide behind her mother. Gazing owlishly at he two new arrivals, copper eyes looked over both the fox like woman and the bat girl. Stick straight strands of mohogany hair fell over marked face and around her shoulders, brightly colored feathers could be seen attached to th strands as well as a few vermin skulls of bleach white.
Upon hearing the two ahead of time, when they appeared just outside te door, the werewolf didn't give such a reaction as her daughter did. Whirling around with a larg smile and a bow of the head she said,"'ello! Pleasure to meet you both! I'm Azumi and this..." she dragged the hding child from behind her," is Maya."
Knowing that she'd be forced to anyways, Maya gave a small wave with her free hand to the bat like girl namd Kerri. Eyes soon shifted to other parts of the room and then to her sandel clad feet as she tried to not make eye contact with this other one.
"We didn't expect to see anyone here today, but looks like we were wrong," chittered Azumi as her own wine colored eyes went from D-chan and Kerri to her own shy one and then bac again.

D-chan smiles and bows to Azumi and Maya. "It's a pleasure to meet you both," she chirps. "I take it you're a Legend," she chuckles, looking at Maya with her strangely wild green-gold eyes, "and you're her guardian." She straightens again, her tail curling absently around her leg.
Kerri grins malevolently at Maya's shyness. That could be something worth playing on...though, really, perhaps it would be better to make a friend, as D-chan so highly insisted?
...nah. The sticks are too much fun to play with. They're the only friends she needs...the sticks and Kura and Hoshi. Three kindred spirits.
The bat moves forward fluidly, her pierced ears twitching and sending the charms dangling there into tinkling song. "Hi," she says quietly. "I'm Kerri." She holds out her right hand toward the other Legend, as D-chan says is polite. Really, it would be much easier and more natural to use her left hand...it is her dominant hand, after all. But her right hand stretches out near-automatically, her fingers stretched and revealing the thin membrane stretched between them.
She really is a bat...as though the ears and wings didn't give that away in an instant. Upon closer inspection, it can be seen that her fingers are covered in black rings, and the midriff the child so casually exposes reveals white stripes along each side of her body, with a final line stretching from beneath her shirt down to her navel. "So, what do you like to do?"
