Where I live, band is more important than football. And we've had 2 perfect seasons in a row 3nodding so everyone in the band is tired of doing all these halftime shows sweatdrop
The only idiots that yell at us, is when our head snare messes up and gives too many shots, or not enough, and we have to start over. When the head snare isn't there, I have to give shots, and that's hard, remembering tempo's, how many shots etc..

People have yelled at us, but I don't care. Band is fun. ^^
Someone yelled a direct comment to my friend as we were marching in, so my big freshman posse, a sophomore, a junior, and a senior went to hunt those bitches down. >=) They were hiding under the bleachers, hiding from the kids they made fun of.
How brave of them. =)

None yet, but if they did, I would run off the field and give them the finger and maybe a foot up their arse! well, percussionists scream you're gay on the bus... they are kinda idiots...

all of band camp we had people go by and say "one time at band camp"
it was so annoying

Well, band isn't more important than football, but we're the most successful thing in the school, so we get more recognition than they do sometimes. xd As a result, everyone likes the band. eek We get cars that pass by who honk and scream, but most of the time it's for us... Once some kid flipped us off and sometimes people sound bad things, but a lot of the time people honk or yell at us because they love! they LOVE, dammit! domokun

unfortunately where i live the football team gets a whole lot more money than the band does...we have to earn our money with fundraisers...........

Once when we were playing at our football game someone threw a half eaten donut at us. We have no clue why and it was someone from our school too.

my freshman year, at the first game, a buch o drunk kids started chucking stuff like bottles (not glass) and other hard objects. they got in BIG trouble and started being nicer to us, just trying to get back their rights to jams and dances, but they've been...well...not mean to us since then.
when guard practices near the road during band camp we get honked at alot, but i'm sure that's for different reasons....

OMG idiots need to not shout at the band.. what would be funny is if the band got shouted at then they got into a formation of "the finger"

We usually get lots of good things yelled to us. Middle school is right next to us, and they'll yell to us as they drive home. But there was one band at competition who booed us for absolutely NO REASON stare
Now at football games, you have lots of idiots come up to you and look stupid. We have to try and not to laugh when like...5 year olds come and try to insult us. "I hope you guys lose, so we never have to see you again!! (They wouldn't see us again, even if we won) I'm gonna have our mascot do the worm in your face!!! (Whatever.)

There's a street right by the field we practice on, so sometimes people drive by in their cars and say random stuff like 'Band rocks!' or 'You suck!'. Most of the time people just honk their horns for a long period of time. One time when someone said band rocks one of the seniors who's not an official section leader but she's like one yelled back 'WE KNOW!'

My band is the coolest thing in the school so we're only ever taunted by the hip-hop middle schoolers so we don't care... biggrin
Band=1/4 of the school pop.

the only time i heard of someone shouting bad things to the band was when the football was making fun of the only guy in our dance team... needless to say they had to run miles.. serves them right.. xd
