"I can't help it if they're good..." Demyx faked a whine, nibbling on another cookie.
"Yeah..and he coulda told us what number he was too...since I can't figure out these shapey..thingers..." Quickly scarfing the cookie in his hand, Demyx lifted it and formed the XIII out of a bubble again. "It seems like a big number....I guess." The bubble disappeared, the paw going back to cookie handling. "Your title's really long Axel...mine is like..the......" He thought back to when Saix had said it. What was it again? "The...Me....Melodious..........Noctourne? Something like that... Eh, just call me Demyx. Soooo much easier ya know?"
Dem too kept glancing at the key, fidgeting somewhat nervously. "So....you're stuck with that thing? That can't be fun..."

The big problem was, Roxas didn't just have to memorise each of their names on the spot, it felt like he had already known their names. And yet the hesistation at the beserker (wait? beserker? what was that?) and the strange feeling of incompleteness was still there. "Er.. no its fine, no cookies, I'll pass." A part of him told him it wouldn't be so bad if it was Axel giving him the cookies, but he wasn't quite ready to trust others. That Xigbar.. wait a minute; he turned around to the tallest of the three, eyes widening. "Xigbar, how did you know my name?" He had never met this Xigbar before, but it didn't make sense, the familiarity, the everything. But it didn't matter; he knew himself best.. right? Demyx's question also belatedly hit him, Roxas suddenly remembering the reason why he had come here in the first place. "And I dont know why I'm stuck with this key... thing. For some reason, it 'told' me to come here, but all I really want to do is get rid of it... and figure out why it feels like I've been here and talked to you guys before." The last statement he blurted surprised even himself.

Xigbar hadn't bothered to move or step any closer to the others, he still stood with his arms crossed, leaning against the wall. He didn't bother to raise his voice either, if they wanted to hear him they could just listen better.
"That's because you have; Roxas, number 13 of organization 13."
That and a snort was all the answer he offered. He didn't much feel like explaining further, explaining how he remembered everyone and their names while the others did not. He was too busy trying to sort out the hole in his own memory, and the only person who could fill that in was...
Xigbar's ears flicked, head suddenly snapping up at what or rather who he sensed. Xemnas... Turning toward the door, he saw him, the superior. But his gaze didn't stop there, behind Xemnas was Saix, and the older canine didn't hesitate to shoot him a menacing glare.

A dark portal opened in the castle and out stepped a tall man in a black robe and long silver hair, Xemnas, the superior. His ears flicked, eyes narrowed as he searched his surroundings in the familuar castle.
"So...they are here"
His steps were effortless as he moved through the halls, a cold emotionless look in his eyes, following the sound of distant voices and the presence of his subordinates.
Along the way he had come across Saix, eyes narrowing at the others behavior and his reactions. Interesting...what would cause such a reaction in the normally cold berserker. But Xemnas kept his thoughts to himself and they would reach the large main room together.
Standing in the door, the superior looked over the group, making a note of who all was present and who was not. The last one his eyes settled on was Xigbar, and the scarred one's reaction to himself and Saix was not lost on him. He shot his own look back, rolling his eyes with a faint growl.
"I see you two are still fighting."

Saix had his arms cross as if he had just kicked them all in the a**. He found the leader. He would certainly be praised for his work. "Xemnas has returned Xigbar, time to resume command as #2." Saix looked to Xemnas. He knew now that he was back he would get the respect he deserved. Prior to their coming here, Xemnas had shown Saix much more respect than he thought he would. Being number seven he thought he was much lower on the chain of command, but due to recent enlightenment was told otherwise. "Infact, I'd consider you more of a #3, Patchy." Saix wagged his tail slowly. Oh he was enjoying this, a lot. "Xemnas, a question, why must we have the one with the keyblade around? He is a danger to us. I don't trust him."

Axel blanched, making an effort to keep his jaw shut. Xemnas? No way. He angled his body so that he stood between Roxas, Demyx, and the rest of the room. His hands twitched. How he wanted to wrap them around Saix's neck and just squeeze that smirk right off his face! "Pansy" he muterred to himself. Imagine, going crying to the boss because he was afraid of a little key!
"Why shouldn't we have him around?" Axel shot back. "Xigbar says that Xemnas is the one who brought him into the group, obviously he's here for a reason." He grinned. "Unlike your sorry a** being here. I don't even know why Boss keeps you around!"

"B-b-boss?!" Unlike Axel, Demyx didn't seem to have any control over his jaw, and it immediately dropped open at the site of their boss. In his mind the shape I was floating around, and he knew on his own that it was as high as one could go...
Xemnas, their Superior, was back.
"I..er......heh.....how's it going?........sir?" The sir was an afterthought, Demyx's mind scrambling to say something that wouldn't get him into deep trouble with the boss.
"Axel.." That word was a lot quieter though, almost whimpered to the red head in front of him. Demyx was just flat out scared. He knew this new robed one was their boss...but he hardly recalled anything about him besides that. Who knew if he was a kind ruler or not?

At first he was confused, but now he found himself just slightly irritated. "Why is Xemnas the boss and what do you mean by numbers?" The key thing in his hand seemed to pulse with energy at the arrival of this 'leader', it took most of his willpower not to swing it angrily at Xemnas, an action empowered by strange memories of anger and denial. He looked from Xemnas, Xigbar and the beserker to Axel and Demyx. "And what is organisation 13 anyway and why would I want to be a part of something like that?" It was strange, a part of him that wanted to belong, but the other part that denied all existance of belonging.

Xigbar's eyes narrowed, his fur bristling as his jaws parted in a menacing snarl. He was now standing, crouched into an attack stance, his eyes full of pure anger, hatred, and rage all focused on Saix. Xemnas or not, it was time to put that little b***h in his place...right now.
"You wanna challenge me, boy?! Or are you too busy running and hiding behind mommy like the little coward that you are?!"
Everyone else in the room was forgotten, his attention focused solely on the Berserker. Xigbar had beaten him once and he's sure as hell do it again. Feelings of intense hatred rose in him and his rage would be contained no longer.

A low growl rumbled in the superior's throat, his eyes narrowed, arms crossed impatiently. Didn't matter how long those two were apart, they always started this as soon as they were together. Children...
"That.is.ENOUGH!"
His voice was hard and forceful, one that would not be argued with. His eyes shifted between both Xigbar and Saix, his words spoken to both of them. It seemed they were both about to be in trouble, and the superior looked like he was about to kick both their asses.
"Both of you, stop acting like children!" He turned to glare at Saix, "You will not question me again, ever. I have my reasons for bringing the keyblade here and that is all the answer you need." His glare turned toward Xigbar, "You will learn to control your temper, and both of you will stop instigating the other. Do I make myself clear? Good, I will deal with both of you later."
That matter dealt with, he stepped into the room, toward where Roxas, Axel, and Demyx stood. As he approached, the glare in his eyes faded returning to their cold unreadable epression, but there was a look of interest in them. His gaze shifted between all 3 in turn, before settling on the keyblade. But rather than fear or distrust of the others, he was most interested in it. But for now, there were other issues at hand.
"Where are the others?"

Saix winced at Xemnas, he never winced at anyone. He was totally under Xemnas' control. Confronted with anyone else, he would have b***h slapped them, ripped off their legs, and beat them with it. Xemnas? No way. "I am very sorry, Superior. It will not happen again. It was just, I do not like that weapon at all, it brings back horrible memories." Saix looked at Xemnas, Saix never felt like his heart was farther away, he wanted his heart back. The hole in his chest nearly sealed and healed, but there was no heart there. "Superior, sir, Marluxia is around somewhere, Luxord too, but the others...we don't know. Though there was one. He wore a blindfold. We don't remember much Xemnas, we were hoping you could explain what happened. Why are we here? Who are we? And two things I wanted to ask which I think are most important. Why do we have no hearts...and what is that keyblade?"

Axel watched Xemnas neatly and effortlessly break up the impending fight between Saix and Xigbar, and shudered. To have that much control over them...he wondered if their boss had ever...asked him to do something. It seemed like it could have hapenned...but what? And would he have the power to refuse him if he asked him to do something horrible this time? He doubted it.
As Xemnas walked towards their trio, Axel was torn between standing between Demyx, Roxas, and the approaching boss, or giving way before his obvious seperiority. At the last moment he averted his eyes and took a step back, neatly allowing Xemnas full access to Roxas. It felt wrong, but his body seemed to move of it's own volition, and he actually gave a cursory bow, keeping his mouth shut on the smart remarks he would normally have made in such a situation. He looked at Demyx, silently pleading with him not to make an a** of himself, though he was sure Xemnas allready knew his particular quirks. That bit of power he had seen when he was putting down Xigbar and Saix though...
It was the scariest thing Axel had ever seen, and that was saying alot, considering...that time...

"A-a-axel?..." Demyx whimpered pitifully as Axel moved aside. What was he doing?! He was just going to stand aside and let the boss do what he wanted with the new guy? But...but...someone had to protect him...right?
Demyx fidgeted around. What to do... Stand there, in front of Roxas, and offer what little help he could...or stand aside and pray he didn't get killed.
....yeah standing aside was sounding like a REAL good idea.
Whimpering as the fear inside grew, the blonde skittered aside and clung to one of Axel's sleeves, body trembling. He actually shut his eyes for a few minutes, struggling to calm himself down before he had a nervous breakdown or something. Still trembling and clinging to the sleeve, Demyx forced his eyes open to watch. Xemnas wouldn't hurt the kid...right? He hadn't done anything to them! Or...had he?

"A... keyblade?" Roxas repeated the word, looking at the item in his hand. He stiffened as both Axel and Demyx pulled away from him, suddenly feeling very exposed, hairs on his neck rising as he felt the superior, Xemnas, eye him like a slab of meat. A part of him screamed that no matter how angry or upset he felt at Xemnas, it would not be a smart idea to do anything against this leader. The other part sulked angrily, seething, but his muscles were rigid, locked. All he could do was stare back defiantly, indignant as all the leader did was give him a dismissing glance before addressing the question of where the others were.

A low rumbling snarl, tail flicking behind him, Xigbar had been about to spring, to take Saix once again. But at Xemnas words, he instantly fell silent and froze. His head lowered, the scarred one fell back like a puppy that had just been scolded.
"Yes sir."
He didn't dare make eye contact with the superior and instead turned to look in the opposite direction, a look of dread in his eyes. Xemnas said he would deal with them later...Xigbar didn't like the sound of that.
But he didn't have time to contemplate their fate before Saix's words reached his ears. Blindfold? That wasn't one of them, that was....what, was it him...?
"The other founders have not shown up yet, though I think I sensed one of them may be nearby."
He threw out the word founders just to shove the fact that he was one of the original six in Saix's face.
"I remember more than the others, but I haven't had the chance to explain anything to them. I...have holes in my memory as well."
His hand closed around the paper in his pocket. That report could hold the answers, or at least some of them. He knew that he should turn it over to the superior, but part of him wanted to keep it, to see those answers before anyone else.
