"Sure thing, Miss Huni." Josh smiled as he went inside to fetch the high chairs. In the meantime he had already cleared a table for the two women to sit at and left them the menus.
"Here," Huni said as she handed Kimi the order listings as she made herself comfortable and sat Pae down on her lap.
"Ya, Joo!" Paestri beamed, making grabby movements at the young man. Once she was seated on Huni's lap, she made a grab for the menu and tried to flip it open. Without much sucess.

"Thank you," Kimiko replied, taking the menu. She also took a seat and sat Mayu down on her lap as she waited for the high chairs to be delivered, opening the menu for Mayu to see.
"What do you want, hun?" she asked to the baby sitting on her lap, showing her the different listings of food, though she knew very well the little Legend could not read.
"Ummmm.." Mayu mumbled, then looked over to Paestri. "Wat good?" she asked, trying to see the other's menu.

"Here, let me get that for you, Pae." Huni offered as she flipped open the menu and held it in front of the Legend.
"Dis wan!" She declared, recognizing the picture of the strawberry parfait she always ordered.
"Here you go, ladies." Josh smiled as he set up the high chairs, "And have you decided on what to order?"

Mayu carefully observed Paestri, and figured out what items she had ordered off of the menu. She shrugged and pointed out to Kimi the same things off of her own menu, wondering what they would taste like. She had seen some of these treats while out shopping, but had never actually gotten to try one.
"Thank you!" Kimiko said, sitting Mayu in the high chair. "I'll have a... raspberry tart and a mocha latte, and Mayu here will have the same thing Paestri is having, I suppose." She had noticed the toddler peeking over to see what the other was ordering, so assumed that she had wanted what Paestri was having.

Josh jots down the orders with no problem, "And your usual orders then, Miss Huni?" he smiles, it was obvious how regular a customer the red-head was.
"You got it, although add the aligue Pasta to the order. I have a craving for something warm." Huni adds, nodding. "Where do you usually have dinner?" she asks Kimi with a smile.
Paestri beamed at Mayu for going with the same order. She felt somewhat proud that Mayu trusted her tastes enough to order the same thing.

"Dinner? Oh, home, though we go out occasionally. And by occasionally, I mean almost never." Kimi gave a light chuckle. There were too many people in the house for her to watch for them to go out often.
Mayu clapped happily, and chanted "food" as she waited for their dishes to arrive. The adventure had been fun, but she was so hungry now -- even great detectives had to eat sometimes.

"I had the hardest time finding a good place to eat too. Not very many restaurants were willing to serve a mechanical creature that levitated. They said it scared the other customers." Huni chuckled, "Do you cook the meals? I used to make the food until Linneas grew up. He quickly took over kitchen duty."
Paestri mimic-ed Mayu as best as she could, though she garbled some of the letters and ended up saying "Hood-hood" rather than "Food."

"Restaurants can tolerate our horned Talaye just a little bit better." Kimi smiled. "They're chaos element, I believe, so you know -- broken dishes, all of that good stuff."
She nodded in response to the cooking question. "Yeah, I cook. It's challenging to make something good that everyone likes, you know?"
Mayu giggled, happy that Paestri had joined in on the chanting.

"I know what you mean, unless it's dessert it's hard to get everyone to enjoy the meal. Although whenever I make something the rest of the household tends to run away in fright." She chuckled. "I've gotten food poisoning after eating something I made."
"Here you go, ladies." Josh arrived, placing the ordered food before the respective customer. "If you need anything else, don't hesitate to call."
Paestri cheered in delight and instantly made a grab for the spoon.

Mayu matched Paestri's cheer with one of her own, also reaching for a spoon. Shoving a spoonful of food into her mouth, she munched for a little bit, then nodded approvingly. This was good!
"And then you get those days when you realize the fridge is near-empty and it's 8 at night so you can't go out to the market.." Kimi said, laughing. "Though it would be better just to order pizza at that point, I would assume."
She nodded thanks to Josh, then took a sip of her latte as she watched Mayu chow down her food happily.

"Linneas always reminds me when the fridge and pantry is running a little low. I swear he's a god-send when it comes to organizing things. I, on the other hand, would probably lose my head if it wasn't screwed on." Huni laughed as she twirled some pasta around a fork.
"Mayu lai'?" Paestri asks with a smile, her mouth sticky with ice cream.

"Unlike you, I have no one to help me in the kitchen or with shopping. I do all of the work, and they get to eat." Kimiko took a bite out of her raspberry tart and sipped at the coffee idly, shaking her head.
"Lai, lai!" Mayu nodded happily, nibbling on a small cake.

"If you want, I could come over and help from time to time?" Huni offered, though she was unsure just how much help she could be.
"Yaaaay! We do a'ain?" Paestri asks of both her guardian and her new friend.

"That would be a great help," Kimi laughed, downing the last of the latte. "I think Mayu would like the company, too."
"Ya, ya!" Mayu cheered, mouth still full of cake. "I show you stuffs!" she said, looking over to Paestri.
Indeed, she did have a lot of "stuffs" at her house, and she couldn't wait to show them all to her friend!

"It's a date, then!" Huni nodded and got a pen out of her pocket. She scribbled down her phone number onto it and handed it to Kimi.
"Call me when you need help."
Paestri ooo'ed at the prospect of seeing Mayu's stuffs. The only stuff he had at home were already eaten. And she ate most of them.
