This guy is a year younger than me. He was the grossest guy ever, but he was truly a jerk.

It started last summer at marching band practice. It was my first week of being the drum major. My teacher said that if anybody is breaking a rule, I will make them run around the track. So this guy was chewing gum while playing his clarinet. I stopped the band and told him to run around the track. He chucked or whipped his clarinet on the ground and ran. Grr...

Then when we were in New Orleans, he had stolen two wallets. He gave one back but it was missing $300. The other guy didn't get his wallet back.

Then while we were still in New Orleans, he pulled the fire alarm while everybody was packing. The funny part about it was that the lead snare player came on the street with nothing but a towel!

And then on the graduation, after we were done playing, he came into the band room and broke his clarinet into pieces! My band director was pissed! It was unrepairable!

Thank goodness that he is moving away this summer...

Oh, and for something not band-related, he made his girlfriend pay for her own prom ticket. He has a job, but she still had to pay for her own ticket!

You know... There is always a single person in your band class that always tries to make everyone else feel like crap... You know, the guy that tells you you're crap, that you play like crap and you're just the worst person in band. Yet, that person can't read note values, doesn't know how to finger the notes, and can't read music all together. stressed

well i do have one of those in my band execpt, they are the best person in band......evil, i hate them they are so rude!

Well, we're lucky not to have anyone like that......no, we did, I change my mind.

See, first, the freshmen kicked upperclassmen butt last year so they couldn't say they were better, and thank goodness we all were very modest.

But, we had this one trumpet who was out-of-class and when he did come in, he would act like he was the best ever. He would blame things on the freshman trumpet player who usually plays first when he's gone (and ended up playing first even when he was there second semester) and I just wanted to go back there and strangle him. It's so annoying. Secretly, though, he was just afraid of losing his chair since he was a senior and that really would've sucked. But, he was actually very talented also. He was in County and State and knew how to play well...just not very quietly. neutral

Gah. Asia! She play's late, messes up, comes to class late, goes to the bathroom every five minutes, stops playing in the middles and then when we mess up she blames everyone else. Ugh.

Also, there's Issiah. He doesn't pay attention, plays late, plays two measurses badly, then stops, because he 'lost his place' and expects me to show him. Not to mention he ignores the ban director.

And now, for Alex! He doesn't pay attantion. He plays his own rythm instead of asking for help. He'll get up and walk around in the middle of the piece and just sucks.

Okay. That's all of them!

We have about six of those people. And my BD actually gave me permission to cuss one of them out, he was so mad. When you see a sign that says "silent zone", what does that mean to you?

To these guys, it meant the opposite, and man, was our BD pissed...

Last year in eighth grade, a percussion player, who is a real jerk, didn't have his music ready, etc. All of the class was waiting on him, and our band director said to him that we all know he doesn't care. He is a real jerk. One time at lunch he was throwing bits of food at a trombone player from across the table. I asked him if he could please stop and he said, "I don't know." That was a yes or no question that I asked him. Gosh. I guess that he's that ignorant.
But the rest of the percussion players are good. One of them is a friend of mine on Gaia.

I have never been bothered by someone like that, and I don't think I'd like to see how it feels but... I can by pretty nasty to people who piss me off.

Last year (in eighth grade) there was the first chair flute player and she was such an annoying snob in band. Everytime someone asked her something, she would answer in this way that would explain, but at the same time put you down a little off to the side. Personally, I think getting first chair all 4 chair tests got to her head quite a bit, but otherwise she was such a nice person.

Then there was the one percussionist who was really stuck-up and thought he could take advantage of the BD by skipping band and pretending to be at the ASB meetings to set up events. o_o;

Omg, Candace! She would always correct my mistakes on the field during practice, when she was making worse ones than me. And she would only correct MY mistakes. No one elses, just mine. Stupid b***h. She dropped out, and the last I heard, she's pregnant working at McDonald's. Karma, baby!

Then there's Kristen. We had this one part that was very difficult, and only Caitie could play it right. We were practising it, and K was like, "Caitie, you're playing it too fast." All of us were like, "No, she's the only one doing it right." But K didn't agree, and we got into a huge argument that ended with Caitie crying.

I swear, the clarinet section last year almost killed each other. There were times my hands were twitching, I wanted to hurt somebody so bad. I seriously thought about quitting a few times.

My section's dealing with that right now. Usually, we have only one or two seniors and they are named section leader(s) by default. This year we have nine, so no one was named leader. There's one girl that has the worst attitude of anyone in the band - all she ever says is 'That sucked' and I overheard her saying that she's the only one in our section that can march - which couldn't be further from the truth.

She can't play either. She always plays the wrong notes, and then blames the instrument. I've watched this, and I must say that I didn't know that your instrument could force you to finger a D when you should be playing an E. My instrument certainly never has.

In any case, she has now decided that she's in charge of the section, when none of us (the other seniors) want her there.

We're hoping to remove her from power before her hold is too firmly entrenched, but no one has the courage to just tell her to f*** off. Our plan to do so was discovered by her, and she has decided that I'm trying to grab power - which I'm not, as I do NOT want to lead, because I lack the people skills - so now she's really bitchy.

I am NOT going to let this wreck the season. I may end up being the one to tell her that no one died and put her in charge, but I hate causing conflict. We've never, ever been a political section before, so this sucks. sad

yes. This summer flute player came up to me saying: "I would be more happy being a THIRD clarinet player in sr. band then being first in inter." I wanted to punch her freaking teeth out.

To think i was her good friend too. She love to make me feel like crap and about everyone else. neutral

also this girl that played behind me. crying I asked her not to play into my ear and to make sure she's playing at the right time and she went out and bithed at me. sorry. @___@
