agreed, it is pretty much everywhere. even in eastern/asian cutlures that by default have not embraced music as much as the western society has.

I can listen to anything, I just don't really feel like spending my money of CDs, when I can buy other things with it, or just stick it into bank account, as I seem to do mostly.
I don't know why, but I sometimes feel that some of these popular tunes (ie, the stuff in the top ten chart of top of the pop (what have they done to the classic title screen gonk )) tend to annoy me, but they're usually pop tunes, and they are aimed at kids. As I said, if I bothered to listen to some current songs, I'm sure I could find something I like, but the way I've been raised make me a fan of the older songs from past decades. *Goes off to collect the '100 best No.1 songs' CD.*

I very rarely like the songs that are in the top 10 actually
