I've never heard the word, but I certainly know the stereotype.. I go to a school where the majority are boarders, many from overseas. Out of the 300 students (small school, I know) about 50 or so are from China or HK (mainly HK, actually). Of course, being a posh girls' school and all, no one discriminates and everyone is v nice etc but the stereotype still exists.. also everyone thinks I'm a boarder because I look (and am) Chinese but I live here.. (UK)

my a** is from noth cali my high school is mostly asians and if any says "c***k" around here they get jumped afterschool by everyone but barely anyone uses that word here but if they do they be better sure everyone knows theyre kidding but we dont have that many fights here no more

uh.. what does c***k mean??? sweatdrop i know it means chinese but i don't the know the "insult" that comes wiht it. and i don't get insult about being asian or w/e, exept they'll be like,"your chinese right?? well, are you smart??" and i just answer them and they leave. my school is like 1
s;ian. everyone else is like black and white. french school is not a good place to meet asian unless you go to like france or quebec(Canada).

i've heard one of my friend's 'friend' call me c***k before and i told my friend i wanted to kick his *** cuz that was just stupid but i ended up not(should have...he totally deserved it)...my school it pretty balanced and asian people are respected(we should be!) sure...i get good grades but people don't really associate that with my being asian which is good 3nodding

Our Uni's about 50% Asian. Chinese are regarded as very hard working, good at maths, usually studying in either Law, accountacy, maths and stats or acurial. They're also the ones you'd expect to find in the library at obscene hours of the morning.
But they're also usually considered rather rude and sometimes ill-mannered - particularly by the British...
When I was at school it was 95% 'white', 5% other. But then again, in parts of the UK, what do you expect!! I do know that when my local community thinks chinese they think the following:
Hard-working
Smart
Take-away
Rich
Ill-mannered
Loud

I think it's rude to call anyone racist terms.
But I wouldn't care if anyone called me a 'c***k', because, I think there's no reason to be angry over a racist jackass. mad

When I was young all the kids were jealous at how much smarter I was, so they started to hate me =_=". I was totally ok with it, me and the rest of the Chinese (there were only a few) became close friends and we had names "The geeks", "The Nerds" and "The Chinks". Words can't hurt me but rocks can, where ever we go we'd get pummeled with rocks, sticks anything they can find, so I decided to take action. The next day unfortunatly their "leader" was wearing a hooded sweat shirt, I took advantage and choked him till he was blue, they never bothered me or my friends again, they were even to scared to tell on me.

I don't see what's wrong with calling people Chinks. I mean, where I live, there's a lot of Chinese people, but we're all scattered, so it's pretty difficult to see a Chinese unless you live next door to each other but aside from that, I call my friends Chink, and I'm a chink myself. We're all cool with being called that.
Like, other asian races have names too.
But.. I don't know them.

hey. anyways i don't care about being called those sorts of names but i get po'ed when some says i'm communist or that i have sars. seriously i joked around one day and said "yeah i have sars"in a sarcastic way and this girl actually went around and said i had sars so for the rest of the class people were like avoiding me until my friend asked me "do you have sars?"
