Present...

Having found the balance he required, Nekurajin considers himself a new man, and thusly renames himself Narakuten, a name of balance. His current situation leaves him in a bit of a bind. The Fiend God of Paradox, Diaboross, controls his former base STAG; and with it, his son, as the new champion of the Antigod, bearing the curse. Due to the nature of the god, the only way to attain enough power to defeat him, is through divine means. And yet, divine power is useless against him. So Narakuten is left in search of a means to not only destroy his former ally, but to take back his life. Thus does he come upon the realm of Leviathan Stadium...

The Enchanted Forest is a location in the South-Eastern regions of North Eastern Gaia.

The significance of this thread is primarily to illustrate the canon role-play location of which Ortei is currently residing. Such a location is important to
put on the Leviathan Stadium map, especially since Ortei will take participation
in many upcoming RP plot events and it should be made at least vaguely
possible to locate her as a character.

Disclaimer:
The Enchanted Forest thread(s) are is a thread(s) created by "President_Chandon", not "Ortei the Illustrious".

I would have located the Enchanted Forest as a LeviStad Gaia locale, but I don't know if it's appropriate. I decided to just post it as O.O.C. for the sake of making Ortei's where-abouts public knowledge to the O.O.C. library.

In other words, I only wanted to be on the up-and-up.

P.S.
The Enchanted Forest is something that I thought worth mapping with LeviStad, but I just don't think it's right to do it without the owner's involvement.

So it's probably most correct to treat the Enchanted Forest as an unmapped location, and as pure O.O.C. knowledge for the time being. Thank you.

The Enchanted Forest- Original Thread
The Enchanted Forest- Volume Two((EF is actually up to like volume three by now. . . Link not provided here.))
The OOC Thread

Ortei's goals are secret, and her activities have to be discovered through RP.
I don't think any of it is really worth revealing here. . .

Her current location is always available in her profile (my journal), and currently
she is in LeviStad outside of Barton.

[Note]: Constructive criticism is fine by me. In fact, I love it. If something doesn't fit in canon with Heaven or Hell, then tell me so I can fix it. My character bio (posted in the appropriate character topic) should be read before this is to prevent confusion.

After Cress had practiced and gotten proficient with his newfound equipment, he heard of a local hospital being assaulted by a lesser demonic entity. Quickly, he grabbed his equipment and ran as fast as he possibly could. Whenever he got there, he was very surprised at this 'lesser' demon. It was nearly twelve feet tall with a surprisingly large wingspan. It's eyes glowed a dark black and seemed to destroy all light within its reach. Regardless, Cress spoke to it with the confidence and bravery of someone who had been fighting for hundreds of years. "Hey. What's up, buddy? So tell me, why are you terrorizing these poor people that can't even fight you? They're injured. Besides, even if they were perfectly fine, they still couldn't give you the challenge I could. So, what do you say?"

The demon looked down at Cress and made a short grunt. He began to speak in a low snarl. His voice was exactly what you would expect from a demon. "Why would I waste time on you when all of this fresh food is sitting here. Free food is better than annoying food." Cress gave the monster a stare of pure courage. "Well, don't you think food that's harder to catch tastes better? Why do you think hunters go out of their way to chase rare game?" The demon growled. "I might as well just get you out of my way now, before you really begin to annoy me, insolent human." Cress pointed his sword at the demon. The jewel on the hilt glowed bright red and energy shot up through the indentions all the way to the tip, which glowed brightly. With his left hand, he put his headphones over his ears. The monster lifted off and began to quickly cover the some thirty feet inbetween the two warring entities. Cress cracked his neck. The jewels on his boots started to glow white. The air around them appeared somewhat distorted. Quickly, cress moved to the side with tremendous speed, almost as if he just manifested himself there. The demon flew right by him. All of this happened within the blink of an eye.

Suddenly, the demon was swirling out of control and holding his shoulder, which was now missing a wing. The demon swerved and narrowly missed a large building. Cress's boots began to glow. He pivoted, and boosted off, running at nearly twice the speed of the demon. He caught up to the red beast and began running along side him. The demon's mouth opened and started to glow red. Cress raised his gauntlet, which was glowing a bright blue. The demon produced hot flame from his throat and sent it in a whirling spiral towards Cress. Cress emitted a bright blue flash from his gauntlet, and the demon crashed into the ground and rolled ten feet before finally coming to a rest. Cress walked up to the demon, who was now sobbing and pleading for mercy. Cress simply took his sword and drove it into the demon's broad forehead. The demon let out a wail that pierced Cress's ears, despite his loud music. Within a matter of seconds, there was no demon. All that remained were ashes blowing in the wind along side the beautiful cherry blossoms on either side of the street.

In the corner of his eye, cress saw a figure move on top of a building with blinding speed. Cress's boots glowed as he boosted up towards the building with one tremendous jump. He looked around to no avail. No one seemed to be in sight. There weren't even any footprints on the building.

A couple weeks went by with many similar encounters. All of them ended in the defeat of Cress's opponent. He slayed many more demons, stopped a rampaging robotic monster, stopped an evil vampire from creating an army of ghouls, and even slayed a kraken in a nearby harbor that was preventing any kind of sea travel. All of these situations always ended with Cress catching the same, now familar, figure in the corner of his eye. It was beginning to annoy him, as was his mother getting a bit annoyed at his unexplained time inbetween school and the time he arrived home.

Cress's mother was a very carefree woman, who he loved and protected very much. He even took one of her old scarves and tied it around his sword's handle. Not only did it give him better grip, but it also reminded him of her. Every day, he would come home and be told stories of the hero on TV slaying a demon with a mere left hook or severing a kraken's head in one fell swoop of the sword. He would laugh and smile at his mother, who was completely dense to the fact that Cress was coming home as soon as these broadcasts ended. Not once did he suspect him to be the mysterious wonder boy on TV.

He knew, though, that he couldn't let his name escape. He wanted (for now) to continue his life as a normal high school student and make his mother happy. It's a great surprise that no one found out about his second life for a great while. Eventually, his best friend, Leon, found that he often had to cancel plans they had made. One day, when Cress said that he couldn't go bowling because he had a project due the next day, Leon followed him, staying hidden. Leon watched the entire fight as Cress stopped a robotic monstrosity from destroying the entire industrial area of the city. Cress easily convinced Leon to keep it a secret.

One day, after slaying the usual demon, he found a piece of paper flowing in the wind with its ashes. He quickly snatched it. It read as follows: "Thank you for giving me this little break from my job. At first I was enjoying it, but now I wish to have it back. I do have plans for you though. Far away from here, a tournament is about to be held. I suggest you quickly find a team, as it is about to start. I'm sorry I didn't tell you this earlier. Directions are located on the back of this page. I'm sure we'll meet face to face. I'm looking foreward to it. Best of luck with your tournament..." Cress did indeed want his image, no, he wanted his NAME to become famous abroad. He headed off towards the stadium, not too far away from his hometown of Latent, destined for heaven.. or for hell...

Victor left his home, all the sadness of his life behind him. The golden fields of wheat that surrounded his home in Harrington, blowing gently in the wind. He looked around, threw his scarf up around his neck and strode off, never once looking back.

He wandered for years, stopping robberies and saving lives, all the while trying to repay to the girl he lost so many years ago for all her love. His face grew dirty and his feet weary, but his eyes maintained their glow, and his soul never faded. For over a hundred years he wandered, until one day he found the land of Gaia, and chose it to be the land that he would finally complete his promise. He would rid this beautiful land of evil.

The successful defeat of the encroaching undead hordes has brought about a period of rest for those who fought. Both Aekea and Durem have long since been sanitized, and rebuilding is underway in both cities. A team is being organized to deal with the aftermath of West Fall, clear the area of the latent energies surrounding it, and prepare the place for a new chapter in the future of Raven Industries...

Yet the question remains; who was truly behind this unprovoked attack?

(And yes, it is a valid question.)

Meanwhile, the CEO is busy resting in his home, fortunately left intact. Whatever horrors may come next, perhaps he may be more appropriately equipped for them after some... hard training. Of course, he may get more than he bargained for when it finally gets underway... for the one training him will be Maximar.

"The last thing I remember....?

I had betrayed everyone.
I meant to..."

The man in black struggles slightly to recall his memory, if only to find how it is he came to be here, in the land of Gaia.

"The ship was going down. My own design, that. And then, the screams! Oh, the horrific screams of panic of the hundred or so on board!... but I digress. My point was sell myself unto my enemies. Learn them from the inside out. The ship was merely to be the tribute.... I HAD to find my foe! Even at the cost of a few innocent souls..."

Taking a moment to wrap his hand tightly around the handle of his blade, he then continues.

"But something went wrong!
The moment I phased myself so invisible as to be not entirely there, the ship exploded!
It was only meant to crash. One binding ring should have been enough to prevent total annihilation. And yet, the elemental, at sensing its own imminent demise broke free of the binding, if only a moment too late. And it was that, which caused it to erupt in a fiery conclusion of itself!"

He looks at the ground rather than face his inquisitor. Shaking his head, he finishes his recollection.

"And then... darkness. Nothing more. The next thing I remember, is waking up in the middle of nowhere. My clothing was nothing more than ash upon my, surprisingly, unaffected flesh. My sword, quite uncomfortably, lay under me as I look skyward... And the rest, well, is quite unimportant as to how I got here; such as obtaining these new clothes. So, does that wrap it up for you? May I go, now?"

This 'inquisitor', is little more than a modest detective, standing before him across a table in the interrogation room of the gaian police department. With a glare and a sneer, the detective relents.

"Hm... yes. We have no reason to keep you further... eh, what did you call yourself, again?"

"Umbra.... the Indestructable."

"Heh. Yes. I'm sure you consider yourself quite the skilled swordsman. Well go, then!"

The detective motions for the door to be opened, then exits.

Umbra ponders a moment further just what he should do, now. Rogue ninja, carrying a sword of the spirit-slayers, and no record to speak of! .... here, anyway. And off he goes, into Gaia in search of something to do...

THE FORGOTTEN ONE

It is not a misnomer. Missing from the logs of history, and even the arcane tomes and lore of ancient races. Perhaps The Forgotten One was unknown to Gaia since it's birth. An entity best, for lack of suiting terms, known as a God of Entropy. Ancient perhaps as time itself and seemingly self aware it is an eater of worlds, a force of the end of all things; a force consuming and directing all it contacts toward absolute nothingness. All that is immediately clear is that it has found Gaia now, and for the moment Gaia is safe. Somehow, the Forgotten is restrained, and so it has taken to acting through proxies. The Shades; an army of souls stripped of their selves and reduced to the very barest thing that could yet be called a soul, an unsleeping army created from those it fells to prepare silently for its coming. Perhaps not for the first time, only the first in memory, they appeared at the time of a Grand Battle over Barton Town, the yellow eyed army of the Shadelord Omikron. Defeated at length and severed from the Forgotten, Omikron was forced to freedom, and left with a world given good reason to be hostile, and little memory but of its shade existence, it led what remained of its forces to seek peace and freedom.

The rest, lies in dreams.

The Dreamless Sleeper
Dropping a straw to break the world's back.
Athan Cole had no good experiences with shades, only a single battle. Hired out as a mercenary by the Skinner Mining Company to help clear villiagers and yellow eyed shades seeking refuge in a resource rich valley. After losing his arm competing in the arenas of Heaven or Hell for money he accompanied a friend, Owle Isohos, far North to Omikron's shade encampment despite this. Settled in a city buried in snow, he found them mimicking the lives of the living and discovered a sliver of the history of those not of Gaia. Here he was given a new arm, and a new weapon- and dreams. Granted visions of his ancestor Atan Keil. One of the last of the Tyr'kana empire loyal, he was accompanied by the foreign forces of Anima. There arcanist Thomas, parted to hold off shades. Atan, the arcanist Thomas, warrior Lylah, and Anima High Commander Ezra pushed to the center of the city where High Tyr'kana Priest Zephyr, betraying them to the shades, had opened the Moam Gate. Fighting with a sword of the Forgotten and Viriliter, Tyr'kana relic sword, he was narrowly defeated as Shadelords Alpha and Beta arrived, betraying the traitor, seeking the Moam Gate, the Viriliter, and to create another Shadelord of Atan. Sacrificing himself, Ezra allowed Atan to escape. Leaving the dream, Athan found himself charged as the first new Knight of Anima, the Dreamless Sleeper, charged to protect Gaia from teh shades- and filled with his ancestor's personal rage against Alpha.

It was not long before the power and history awakened in his Tyr'kana blood boiled- as another ancient enemy, one of the Murmillions whom had enslaved the Tyr'kana arrived misguidedly, assailing the shades there. Vahn Fah, prince and one of the only survivors of the ancient Murmillion empire locked in battle with Athan Cole, heir of the entire Tyr'kana race, and no sooner bloodied each other than Alpha returned to the spot to strike a bitter blow, successful yet again. Licking their wounds, the men forged a bitter, begrudging alliance against the shadelord and his latest ally- Prince Victor Fah, turned human avatar of the Forgotten for its power.

The Bond of All Debts
When souls are trapped between.
Datho Mere Sunstrike, godling and creature of fire, ally to Omikron's shades in the valley battle, found himself the next dreamer. Drawn from slumber he found himself face to face with Shadelord Beta, and a world long of the past. Rather than slay him, however, the shadelord, apparently secretly gone rogue, led him on a tour of the past, an insight into the shades developing as he explained a piece of their past, their function, and discovered his place as part of a group of dreamers as Beta, by claim, tried to save him of a similar fate to his own. Though enslaved to fight for the forgotten, he gifted Datho with knowledge, and showed him the efficient monster that even the gentle Omikron was when still in the Forgotten's grasp, on his way to instigate the battle for Barton. He explained the nature of the shades and shadelords; their manufacture, Alpha's freedom and dedication to the Forgotten, compared to the bound servitude of others. Caught between servitude of the Forgotten and another fate himself, Beta passed the protection of the second charge, The Bond of All Debts, on to Sunstrike, along with a protecting amulet.

The Radiance of Lost Lives
The greatest tale never told.
Rayner Veli, taken the alias Kael, had been through more struggle in the past years of his life than ever before. A normal boy exposed suddenly to possession of an angry not-quit-dead soul and violent history, he had found rocks in this storm in the forms of Owle Isohos, friend and lover, and Athan Cole, new role model and example of the strength he sought to survive. Following Cole and Fah to form Fracture they joined Heaven or Hell to protect the soul of Teira, remains of the soul of Vahn's lover, from a perceived dark purpose of Victor. Though Kael was skeptical of the global nature of the thread of the shades or this Murmillion prince he devoted himself to the battle and toiled in the shadow of these two titans. Struck down, dreams came to him as well.

Kael found himself in visions of a nameless Vagrant, a young Knight of Anima and survivor of Moam, planet- or perhaps connected universe- of the Anima's origin. Under the tutelage of High Commanders Ezra and Aerii, he gave the Vagrant the name Kael as well, and a bond formed between the two as he saw visions of a day of his training, companionship, the stubborn pride of General Alendergrez, and then the Vagrant's death- at the hands of the shadelord Alpha, protected from consumption by the Forgotten as Aerii sacrificed his own protection, leaving him alone with the shadelord. Terrified of the outside presence in his dreams from former experience with possession Kael combated with the dreams and guilt of failing Teira for months before coming to grips, accepting it- and struck a fellowship with the Vagrant, finding the blade Aerii had sealed his soul into, and accepted the position of the Radiance of Lost lives. Filled with new purpose, he turned to the other forces terrifying him, or holding him back, seeking to free himself and prepare to combat the threat of the Forgotten, finally convinced of the utter seriousness of it.

Pieces of Dreams
Athan, Kael, and several others found themselves subjected to a number of other dreams. First the days before the battle against the Forgotten on Moam, and glimpsed the powerful soul of their skilled and charismatic leader Almagest, Moam's greatest hero. Despite their best efforts, and a great deal saved, sealing the forgotten in a prison to hold it's hunger from consuming on from Moam to everything cost the planet itself- and in a feeling of betrayed fate, Almagest's will, letting himself tumble into the Forgotten's prison with it, leaving Ezra and Aerii to drive the Knights.

Next came the visions of an unknown knight, labouring under instruction of Ford, a mechanic of the so called "Fate" that surrounded the matters of the Forgotten, battling and binding a golem of energy and power to unknown purpose. Later the knight appeared to Vahn Fah in his dreams, a private message of Vahn's past, but this was not to be the most major of his future actions.

Two more dreamers appeared with distinct purpose, given alien scenes of the past touched by the Forgotten- James Black, a scientifically advanced civilization, and Maximos of a otherworldly library.

The Soul Destroyer
Before time and corruption.
Pursuit of the Anima and Shades brought Athan, Kael, and Rage together again, deep into the Barthavos desert to a cave, an excavation. There they met two faces presumed dead- Thomas, of Athan and Kael's dreams, and the knight whom they had watched in the communal dreams. He pleaded them to his purpose- when the walls crumbled, and the shades appeared in mass, led yet again by the shadelord Alpha. He dueled Athan and the knight, arguing to demean the forces of fate and motivations that drove them to resist the Forgotten, and the idea of purity only possible through nothingness that Alpha had embraced, escape from lies and wrong and manipulation. To the protest of the knight, Alpha offered the rest of a vision-

The completion of Athan's dream, after Atan had fled. There events spared Ezra being turned into a shadelord, only barely buying him opportunity to stun Alpha and the in subordinating Beta long enough to activate a force of "Fate" and "Judgement". The forces, however, refused to decide immediately, speaking in six voices familiar to those present in swirl of energy and stone, and scattered to the winds, leaving Ezra to retreat to fight again.

Leaving a challenge to Athan, Alpha retreated, and left the Tyr'kana enraged at the sacrifice of so many simply to awaken the Judgement in hopes of it taking their side over the Forgotten. This revelation of the knight as Ezra- the Soul Destroyer, and first dreamer Knight of Anima set the battlefield to chaos again as Ezra determined that Kael and Athan's viability as vessels of judgement had somehow been tainted by the knowledge of the sacrifice he'd given to it, and set to eliminate them even as the shades continue to attack.
