He had lost himself in what he was doing. He'd known it would happen and had taken certain safety measurements to ensure his safety whilst he was hacking. It wasn't that he didn't trust Leadstorm, the guy did want the AI changed after all, it was more a case of knowing how deeply involved he'd get. Until he had finished changing the code, he was vulnerable to everyone and everything.
An hour after he started, he finally had the program looking the way he wanted, what he hoped would get him access to the AI. A few moments later and he had plugged the pda he'd been working on back into the AI and hit enter, executing the virus he'd modified. He'd found the tiniest of security holes and had changed the virus to look like part of the maintenance program which accessed the AI through the insecure port.
Once it was uploaded to the AI, it would wreak havoc among it, changing file names and locations until the AI was in a state of chaos. His hope was that somewhere during all of this, the AI would activate the appropriate commands for him to simply add Leadstorms data to it and delete the previous crew from it.
He pulled out a small plastic bag before extracting the caffein pill inside of it, taking off one glove before popping it into his mouth and swallowing it, putting the glove back on after. Whilst he stayed away from drugs in general, this was one of those situations where he needed to speed his thought process up and work perfectly despite the fatigue he knew was already setting in from rewriting the software.
"Got a dna sample for the AI?"
He asked Leadstorm then. He'd been careful to leave neither fingerprint nor dna on the bike of himself, not so much because Leadstorm had asked to be the only user as him simply being paranoid.

"Take what it needs, hair, skin, blood, whatever, just do it before I have to start shooting." he says over his shoulder, as he catches a glint in the herd out of the corner of his eye. He let the first of his phospherous grenades fly into the oncoming wall, noticing more and more shining points around the back edges of the herd...~

Mark lied in wait under the car, he'd be safe there until he had to switch out the batteries of his cheap-a** active camo device. " Hmm It seems the guy up top has a MG on him, so I'll make sure to apply my silencer and fire where he is firing, when he fires." Mark thought to himself.

"Hair"
It was the only warning he gave Leadstorm before pulling out several strands of the man's hair and walked back to the bike, watching the display panel with anticipation.
A few moments later, it came to life. No sooner had it come to life, that he took control of it, manipulating the AI to open files it would otherwise never have opened to him, simply through the confusion he'd caused the AI by those files being mislabled.
Eventually, he managed to access the user list and edit it down to only Leadstorm's dna as authority to access the bike, inadvertently pretending to be Leadstorm for the time being until such a time as he'd cleared the virus out of the system.

~Leadstorm let off another greande, followed by a volley of rounds into the front of the oncoming mass. the figures were taking individual shape as they approached closer. "Those rotten Fackheads just don't give up!" he shouted to himself as he realised that the shiny spots around the mutants were Chromers herding them toward him.~

The sound of explosives followed by gunshots alerted Eseen awake. She'd been squatting in the boot of Joe's car since he left, keeping quiet enough to make sure she would be his distraction if the time came. Sure, it wasn't thievery, but she was good at such things and whoever this guy was, he was paying her something significant enough to consider it.
Unfortunately, she wasn't exactly anyone completely reliable as a professional. The long wait and quiet time in the dark, while quite hot, was relaxing. She had fallen asleep clutching a rocket propelled grenade launcher. Sure she wasn't exactly proficient in using one, but Joe had made sure she knew how to load a round, all that was needed for a distraction if the time came. The rapid bursts of fire that startled her awake seemed like a good an indication as any for such a thing.
She shifted to the side and stretched as far as she could, something about laying in a boot for a few hours tended to get a bit cramped. A friendly click echoed through the small space followed by the intense light that flooded the compartment, making her squint as the boot carefully opened.
Once she was given enough space, she quickly began loading the weapon, or at least attempting to. The sound of gunfire around her, while she had experience with it, was still quite nerve wracking as she wasn't one for such excessive use of violence. Moments later, the easy assembly of the weapon was complete and she drew her strength to mount the weapon in place, aiming at where the gunfire was coming from.
It took her a few moments to identify the scenario, finding herself pondering among other things why Leadstorm looked so familiar. She would have fired at him regardless, if her curiosity didn't spark up to where he was firing. A glance to the corner of her eye revealed the horde of creatures charging towards them, something completely unexpected as an extreme of something other than her employer being shot at.
Whatever the case, a swarm of creatures marching towards her was unsettling at best and the self preservation instinct took over. She pulled the grenade launcher over towards her and put it in position to aim at the oncoming mutants. As soon as she was certain it was aimed and loaded properly, she fired.
A burst of hot air shot out from the back, scorching the lining of the boot and a thin trail of smoke protruded from the grenade all the way to its target rather quietly until it impacted with a torso. The ensuing explosion ripped it apart and sent the nearby mutants outwards from it, a few body parts detatching themselves and accellerating that slight bit faster than the rest of them. It sent a few more just out of range into a disarray as it was the second explosion to erupt in their ranks.
"SKASE! IF YOU'RE DEAD, I'LL KILL YOU FOR GETTING ME INTO THIS MESS!" She yelled out randomly, completely unaware of where he was at the time, trying to focus on loading the second of three rounds.

Completely focused on clearing the virus from the bike's system, he ignored the sound of explosions happening around him.
As Eseen's voice carried across to him, he stopped midway through typing and sighed. Her logic failed and she'd managed to make sure whoever was out there now knew his name. He hoped that whoever had heard her would not be around long enough to remember the illogical threat she'd made as he continued erasing the virus from the system.
Some time later, he finished the software side of things and started reconnecting the wires which connected the AI to its shell, giving him his senses back.
No sooner had he connected the AI's voice, that he got to hear a detailed complaint about the way he had treated the AI, followed by the AI pointing out that Joe wasn't Leadstorm and simply shutting down.
"Good to see you've recovered.. "
He mumbled towards the bike, then called out to Leadstorm.
"Hey, can you tell Vinnie to let me finish my job before he becomes a complete b*****d and won't let anyone but you operate him?"

~Leadstorm took aim at another chunk of the oncoming wall, only to see his target erupt in a flash of white, then hear the girl from the club's voice. "Well, at least I'm not the only one here blowing s**t up" he mumbled to himself before firing off another round. At Joe's request, he responded "Sure, if you come and shoot the gun, I'll go talk to the AI. but let's make this rol;e-reversal s**t quick, I've never seen you shoot, and I'd rather have you getting everything ready so I can ride outta here..." ~

He appeared unhappy about being given the responsibility of firing the gun, something that wouldn't add to the confidence Leadstorm had in his ability to deal with the oncoming masses. The fact that he nodded and took over the gun was simply that he was suddenly aware of how much time they didn't have meaning he could not enter into an argument with the AI and win in time to get himself out of this place in one piece despite Eseen's 'distraction'.
"Believe me, I want nothing more than that myself.. "
He mumbled as he took aim and fired, the grenade landing a foot in front of the closest of those heading towards them.

~Leadstorm sprinted back to the bike and jacked himself in at the wrist. Vinnie was pleasantly responsive to him this time around. "As Primary user, I'm going to make a secondary account. The man that's been playing with your programming is to be allowed technical access only, nothing physical, nbu everything mechanical he'll need to repair you at any time. he's your tech support, and I expect you to let him do his job." Leadstorm said before Vinnie could get a word out. The AI processed for a few moments befrore responding "well fine, but I'm still going to keep my eye on what circuts he's messing with. That bast..." Without waiting for Vinnie to finish, leadstorm disconnected, and came back up to reclaim his firearm.~ ((you can post what you're doing while this goes on, I tried to make it seem as hurried as possible.))

((looks like we lost the others?.. and wow, my creativity's running away again))
He had only time enough to realise he'd missed the crowd before Leadstorm had returned to claim the weapon, which Joe was more than happy to give up.
Vinnie continued voicing his opinion of what he thought of Joe as Joe started reconnecting wires again and exchanging opinions with Vinnie on what they thought of each other, the entire conflict sounding incredibly childish to anyone who'd bothered listening in to them.

We could use all the firepower we can get our hands on right now..." as he said this he accessed his comm's memory, and sent a call out to Trau, Mark, Dom, and everyone else he could remember that was in the CENTAUR squad. "if anyone gets this, head to the waste outside TBF and bring guns, big guns. you will be paid in parts from whatever chromers aren't obliterated. and I'll seriously owe you a favor" he waited, hoping at least one of them would be willing to help out a bit...~

Mark took aim down scope and fired into a mass of Chromers going because of Lead's gun. Mark was good to time his shots carefully. He then decided it was his time to move. Silently he rolled out from under the car and made his way to the truck. He hopped into the back to get a closer view of the AI, his weight did not bounce the truck much because the recoil of the Machine gun helped.
Mark moved his way behind Joe, Still cloaked and held his magnum revolver up against Joe's temples. Then Mark whispered directly into Joe's ear " If you want to live give up the AI to me and let me get on with my mission. I will not allow an average street punk and his lil' hacker friends get in my way. Now make up your mind, the AI or I take all your lives." Mark then smirked evily, his job is so much easier since the Corp lent him this Active Camo Suit, which along with his Cold Suit make him virtually invisible.

"Would it harm you to be a bit more patient?"
He mumbled as he continued attaching wires. Disconnecting things was always easier than reconnecting, especially with the AI's attitude problem. If he hadn't needed to verify that he'd cleared the virus entirely from the AI he doubted he'd have given it voice control back as early as he did, but he did.
So annoyed was he that he didn't realize what was going on around him until a man's voice interrupted the banter between him, Leadstorm and the AI, ******** exclaimed at the same time as he became aware of the gun at his head and the demands being made of him. Where the hell Eseen with her distraction was was beyond him, but if he'd have the chance later, he'd point out that he'd hired her to avoid situations like the one he found himself in.
He let go of the wires he had been dealing with, moving his hands slowly away from the bike, making a show of being harmless as he did so.
"You can have Vinnie, I'm not gonna stand in your way.. "
He assured Mark. Despite his exclamation earlier, he didn't have a death wish and held no attachment to the AI in question.

He thought quickly as to how to resolve the situation quickly. "Vinnie, synchronise your self destruct command with my and Joe's pulses, if either stops, detonate immediately" Vinnie's screen whirred, then the AI voice boomed That sounds like fun, if this new jackass pulls something, I'll blow us all sky high!" Leadstorm started cycling vision modes in his cybernetic eye to try and find the intruder, and muttered under his breath "Mark, Trau, Dom, I could really use some help right about now..."
