Astrid was not very amused. She wasn't at all intimidated by Akira's insight into his fellow shelter-mates disappearing. "I suppose that's why seeing this guy devour some helpless boy was fairly normal." If this kid was picking out role models who were complete nutters, he might need to re-evalute his choices soon enough. "What makes you think that this guy won't eat you?" Astrid asked, smirking a bit. That was always the first question to consider when finding out a peer had human on their menu. Trela wasn't like this Linelieth person so far at least.

Akira looked at the girl, it did strike his curiosity. True he thought Lineslieth wouldn't eat him, he seemed to like the boy, but what if...?

"If he was going to, I suppose he would have already. I know there'd be nothing from stopping him, from the way he did it so easilly... I guess he doesn't want to eat something he considers a friend," He seemed to be rambling.

"That's assuming he considers me a friend. And anyway, I think he did it as a way of proving to Luke that he is what he is." He shrugged. True the girl's question made him think, but he wasn't worried about it, not too much anyway.

"You seem nice, Astrid. Well, a lot nicer than Luke anyway..."

She was surprised to be described as 'nice.' This had never occured to her; often she was being called quite the opposite. At the very least the compliment ( she supposed that was what it was ) made her think. And she was happy to know Akira was thinking too, as far as what she had said about Linelieth.

"I don't know this Lineslieth guy, and I don't know 'Luke' either," Astrid said, laying it out straight on the table, as it were. "But from my experience people can't be trusted. I mean he ate a kid in front of you. I think you should watch your back with him." Normally she didn't give out advice, because she liked watching people figure things out for themselves. Especially when she didn't like them; then it was gratifying to see them realize they'd screwed up. She felt that this little wolf-kid might appreciate it, though. And she felt like she should at least say something in return for the compliment.

She gave him a little sideways grin. "And keep drawing. You're good at it." She gave him a hearty pat on the shoulder and stood up, glancing at Hod for a moment. "Oh, and this is Hod, my snake, just so you know." Slipping her hands into her pockets, she looked around the grounds again. "I think I'm going to go explore some more. I'll probably see you again. Hopefully Lineslieth won't have eaten ya," she said, grinning, in a good-natured way. Unfortunately she actually meant, and realized she didn't really want the wolf-boy to get eaten. He was good conversation when bored, anyway.

"I'll catch ya around," she said, and with a salute of her fingers, she turned and began to head back to the school, Hod peeking out of her shoulder. She gave Akira another quick wave as she headed back, before finally turning her back and not looking back. So, a wolf-boy and a Nahzeetial. And a dragon staff member that ate children. Not to mention a Aerin, a cross-dressing member of the staff, and some unknown Luke kid.

"...Interesting," she said under her breath, smirking. And it was probably only going to get moreso from here on out.

Akira smiled, waving back at Astrid. She had left before he could reply, so he shrugged, and sighed happilly.

That made two people he thought were nice, one that made him nervous, and one that he'd rather hit than talk to again. The good seemed to outweigh the bad so far.

He stood and closed his journal, making his way back to his dorm room...

Maybe his roommate was there now?

[New RP; Trela & Akira]

After waking up from her nightmare, Trela didn't want to stay still ... or in her room alone. So, why not explore? She hadn't really done that much exploring ... the one time she did, she ran into a wolf-boy called ... Akira? Something like that anyways.

Well, it was a nice day so might as well go outside.

Trela slithered through the doors of the school; the blinding sun causing her to pause and shield her eyes for a moment before continuing on her venture.

It was hot; a little too warm for the snake-girl anyways. Shade, shade is good.

Trela's silver eyes darted around for somewhere to sit and cool off. It was then she noticed a fairly large tree; joy, shade! Slithering over, Trela sat comfortably on her tail and sighed. She needed some excitement.

Akira hadn't bothered with putting his shirt back on; it was too bothersome and involved far too much effort. He would have to order new shirts, with custom slits in the back... or something to that effect.

The sun beamed down on him, pale skin reflecting the light off almost as a mirror would.

His wings were folded, his tail twitching and swishing gently, and Akira seemed to simply be in thought. He hadn't realized he was out on the grounds, but he saw a farmiliar green tint of flesh.

"Trela?"

When her name was spoken, Trela casually glanced at the figure. Y hulo thur!, she thought. Wait a minute ... he looked familiar. She paused a moment before nodding.

'Akira ... right?'

Wow, time sure had flown by it seemed ... at least to her. Akira looked ... somewhat older.

Akira gave a smile, glad that she didn't seem to want to kill him, like he originally thought, and that he didn't feel like he needed to run away; even if the snakeyness did make him feel a little uncomfortable.

He ignored it, and shoved his hands in his pockets, nodding, "Yeah, that's me..." he replied, ears twitching, his hair still covering one of his eyes- something else he gave up trying to fix.

"Glad I stumbled upon you... I've been meaning to appologise for acting the way I did. You're the only Nahzeetial I know... it caught me off guard a little."

It was then Trela met guilt. Thinking back, she felt bad for being so sacrastic and straight-forward when she first met Akira. Bad first impression ... But, she felt she needed to apologize as well, 'It's alright ... I was a little too straight-forward ...' Giving a friendly smile, she added, 'So, I apologize for the way I acted. And as for the Nahzeetial thing ... I keep forgetting I'm the only one at the Academy.'

Moving over a bit, Trela made room for Akira incase he wanted to sit down. But as she looked at him, she noticed something different. Sure, he was taller, older and cuter, but there was something else.

'Did you always have wings?'

Akira couldn't help but let out a chuckle, he shook his head, and his wings; sensing they had been noticed, gave a lazy stretch and a gentle flap, which wasn't actually that gentle - They want him to start flying already.

"Naw, they were a gift from a staff member," he replied, kneeling down, and making sure his tail was out of the way before plonking on the ground.

"Pretty neat, apart from randomly flapping..." He smiled.

"How've you been? It's been a while..."

Trela looked at him quizzically, but with a grin, 'A gift from a staff member? I had no idea it was even possible to grow wings.' She giggled, 'Guess anything is possible.' A smile replaced the grin.

A moments pause. Trela shrugged, 'I've been okay, I suppose. Haven't really been doing all too much.' She stared off; a clip from her nightmare returned, but she shrugged it off, 'What about you? How've you been ... seems a lot has been going on.' Of course, she was referring to his wings, and ... "growing-up".

"Mmm," He thought a moment, laying forward onto his stomach so as not to disturb his wings, which, speaking of- happened to be slowly and gently flapping, as if trying to fan Trela.

One would notice the way his skin fades to black on each wing, the softness of flesh turning rough like leather, which had a considerably dull shine to it. It looked almost wet...

"Haven't been up to much as of late... I met my room mate a few weeks ago. Actually, after I met you and had a mini-spazz attack... Never was much of a snake lover... more scared of them than anything, but anyway... Got into a fight with this kid I don't get along with; Luke. That's when I started questioning my own sanity..." His tail twitching, half curled in the air.

"Saw the nurse, Aerin, and he told me I'm on the path of insanity, and bonded to a god of Death; Anubis," he paused after a moment, and couldn't help but let ouf a chuckle.

"I guess I've been up to a lot then. I'd love to just spend a few days wrapped in the blankets and relaxing... But my wings seem to be wanting to fly, so they aren't going to leave me alone until I get someone to teah me..."

Trela closed her eyes and smirked, 'Mmm ..' She wasn't going to lie, the gentle flapping felt nice .. especially since her dark colour attracted the sun. Upon opening her eyes, she got to take a better look at his wings. My, those were quite different.

Listening quietly, nodding every so often, 'Seems you've been up to a lot. I met my roommate not to long ago .. thankfully she loves snakes, actually has a pet garder snake.' She smiled, 'But, I can't blame you for not liking snakes ... a lot of people don't. But once you get past the tail and split tongue, Nahzeetial can be okay people, if you catch them on a good day.' Giggling silently, she looked at Akira, 'Nahzeetial find it hard to make friends with others because of the snake attributes. Which is mostly why we stick together and hold a hard-shell.' Yes, Trela was definately in a good mood at the moment.

'Insanity ... and bonded? Wow. Are all the students at this school going down paths like that?' The last question was more Trela thinking out loud. But she shook it off, and smiled at the last comment, 'RA has wings, maybe he can teach you.' Pausing, she thought of way to relax and keep wings under control, 'As for relaxing ... why don't you just wrap your wings around you like a blanket? Wouldn't that keep them under control.'

Speaking of which, Trela wouldn't mind curling up herself. She might have just woken up, but the heat made her tired ... Meh, she'd probably end up curling up in her room later on anyways.

"It seems like it... If not insanity... then, I suppose genius or something..."

He thought a moment, then the writing on the gate made sense.

"Insanity encourages Genius..." He said softly. So, that's what that meant? They would either be geniuses, or go insane trying? Bonded to gods... falling for the faculty?

It seemed like a big soap opera, and for some reason, Akira just couldn't get enough of it. Maybe it was the chaotic notions, or the whispers at night, or even the shadows that no one saw. He loved it here even if it meant he would lose his mind.

"huh?" Trela's continued speaking broke him from trance, and he nodded, "I dunno... I could get Hiro to teach me, if I ever find him... I guess he went to grow, or got lost in the library or something... He's altered, like me, but he's part bee... it's cute," he gave a smile.

Trela felt her heart stop. Was she going to go insane? Possibly be bonded? Well, what if she became a genius? No ... she couldn't. With the dream last night, and the thoughts running through her mind; insanity. Unless she developed a master genius plan to destory all Aanida. Nope, that was still insane.

s**t.

Well ... whatever; at least she wouldn't be alone.

'Hiro?' She tasted the name on her tongue, 'Don't think I've heard of him. Then again, I haven't really met many people at this school.'

Trela imagined a half bee, half boy buzzing around the school on a sugar-high. I mean; bees like nectar, boys like sugar. It was only obvious. Smirking at the thought, she glanced at Akira, 'Sounds like a cute kid.'
