Midori clapped her hands in excitement.
"Yay! I love little kids! And that's so sweet of you! You're such a caring older brother and son!"
Midori's kept smiling.
"So, which way is the Palace?"

They stepped out onto the street and he pointed toward the middle. "It's a walk, the Palace is right in the middle of the city. It's really huge and I've only seen it from the outside. I want to see the inside too. I bet it's really beautiful." He started walking down the street, I thought when the Priestess showed up it would be a horrible thing, but she's so cute...

She looked toward where he was pointing. Midori stared for awhile untill she noticed that Hikitsu had started to go. She hurried and caught up to Hikitsu.
"I've never been in anything even close to a Palace. I've only had pictures to go on. I wonder what it will look like." She started to let her mind wander about what it would look like, but also keeping up with Hikitsu as they walked.

After a half an hour, they made it to the main gates of the Palace. Hikitsu stepped up and sat. "I am following the edict of the Emperor. I have found our Priestess, Midori, and I bring her before him. I am the Celestial Warrior Hikitsu."
The guard looked at Midori askance, "She's dressed in men's clothes. We've already had people pretend to be the Priestess and Celestial Warriors. Usually the mark is just ink."
He smirked, an waved both his hands, summoning up a small cyclone in the street. He let it disapate and moved his sleeve up. There was his mark, and they watched as it faded away. "I am Hikitsu, and this is the Priestess."
"Ok so you are a Celestial Warrior, but she looks like a little girl in men's clothes. If she's from another world, then where are her strange clothes?"

Midori just stood next to Hikitsu, staring at the guard.
'A real life chinese guard person!' Then she felt the guard's stare. She gasped.
"Whoops, zoned out for a bit." She took off Hikitsu's robe, revealing her school uniform.
"Ta-da!" she said, turning around, showing the guard that her clothes weren't local.

Hikitsu smiled, chuckling a bit to himself. "See, the Priestess of Genbu." The warriors nodded and talked among themselves for a moment, then they nodded. "Come with us." The gates opened onto a beautiful plaza, with elegant people all around them. Hikitsu felt instantly out of place, like he, himself had walked into another world. "This way," they walked through the center of the courtyard up to the steps of the Palace. "Remember to bow to the Emperor and take all instruction from him. Don't look at him before he tells you to do so. Wait here, I'll return when the Emperor is ready to see you."

Now Midori was even in more awe than she was in before. It was so beautiful! Many people dressed in wonderous chinese clothing with hair that seemed out of a fairytale. She followed the guards and Hikitsu to the center of the courtyard then to the steps of the Palace. Midori nodded to the guard who told them to bow and to the other stuff he mentioned. After staring at the Palace for awhile, she turned to Hikitsu.
"Hey, Hikitsu? This might sound odd, but how exacly am I suppose to bow here?"

"Well to the Emperor you get on your knees and put your forehead to the ground, arms out in front of you." He showed her how to do it. Then he hopped back up. "Like that, and don't look at him unless he tells you to." The door before them opened into a huge room with a throne on a dais. Everything was green and had effigies of Genbu on them. Hikitsu came in and bowed, motioning for Midori to do the same. He figured she'd get caught up in the beauty, but she could enjoy it later.

Midori nodded and followed Hikitsu inside. It was magnificent, she just wanted to stare at it, but then remembered what he had told her. She hurried to Hikitsu and bowed right next to him.
'This bowing stuff,' she thought, 'Isn't exactly the best for my skirt.'
Midori supressed the urge to adjust her skirt, not wanting to get on the Emperor's bad side so soon. In every book she had read, the head cheese always gets mad if you did something they didn't like, and she wasn't sure if he would like it if she adjusted her skirt.

"So," the Emperor said in a deep voice, "This is the Priestess of Genbu? Please stand, I would like to speak to you frankly if I may?"
Hikitsu stood up, the Emperor Matsuko was probably in his 40's, his hair was still black, but he had lines on his forehead, perhaps from worry. He was wearing green imperial robes and was quite attractive, even though he was older. "You are Hikitsu of the Genbu Seven, correct. Can you produce your symbol?"
"Yes Highness," he said softly and waved his hand, producing a small breeze through the hall. Then he bared his forearm, the symbol glowed faintly. The Emperor nodded, "Very well, and what is your name Priestess?"

Midori started to grow a lump in her throat, nervousness swept over her. She stood, almost shaking.
"M-My name is M-Midori, y-your H-Highness." she managed to say. Quickly glancing up, she saw that the Emperor wasn't as old as she had imagined him. Midori thought him to be a teetering old man, with a white beard and bad hearing, but the man she saw before her was far from it.

"You need not be nervous of me Midori, I am very glad you are here." He gave a calm smile to try and calm her a bit. "My country, no the whole world is in a bad state, we are honored that you have appeared. I don't know if Hikitsu has told you, but the sun here does not set, no rain will fall from the sky, and fewer and fewer girls are born each year. Something is destroying the balance of our world, and I sincerely hope that you, Priestess, will be able to save Hokkan."
He came down from the dais. Up close he looked tired and haggered, like a man with alot on his mind. "You have to gather the Seven Warriors and the Prince, but I can at least help you with the Prince. My son Haku, who is out on a diplomatic mission at the moment, is the Prince of Genbu, and you have already found Hikitsu as well. I invite you to stay here, in the palace, so it is easier for us to protect you until you have all of your warriors. I'll have rooms prepared at once. Until then, you may wish to visit the Shrine and collect the Shinzaho. This is the holy relic from our first Priestess of Genbu. It will direct you to the other warriors." He had one of his advisiors come over, "He will escort you to the Shrine, I will visit with you over a banquet tonight. Until then, please refresh yourselves and offer your prayers to Genbu." And with that, the Emperor left the hall. Hikitsu let out a breath, "Wow, we do get to stay in the castle!"

((Nope, you are absolutely correct with the name. ^.^ And, don't forget, there is also a mirror in there as well for the Priestess, to help her find the warriors. And, thanks for the description of the Emperor, Tionne. ^.~
Just to make sure you remember:
The Genbu Shinzaho is an ornate necklace. The main stone of the necklace is a circular stone, set in a flower like setting. To the left and right of the flower setting are two crecent moons, which attach to the chain. At the bottom of the flower setting is a small extra petal like attatchment. From that, there is are two small chains, which attatch themselves to a bit of metal that can be described like this: ^. From the lower part of the apex of that metal is a small flower jewel drop. The chain for the necklace looks like beads, with several similar small flower shaped jewel drops strung along every two or three beads.))

Midori calmed down a bit, but not a lot.
'S-So I have to get the Shenzoha-thingy? The thing the first Priestess used.... Wow, this is all happening so fast! At least I'm not in this alone, I have Hikitsu with right now.'
Once the Emperor left, she immediately placed a hand on her beating heart, hoping it would slow down. She heard Hikitsu let out a breath and she nodded in agreement to what he had said.
"Y-Yeah, staying in a Palace is exciting. Especially one so grand as this one!"

The Attendant motioned for them to come with him. They went out of the Palace proper to a shrine off the side, in a lovely garden. An ornate green building stood before them and the attendant went up and opened the doors. Inside was a great statue of the beast god Genbu, and a small alter. On it was necklace and a mirror. "That is the Shinzaho and the Mirror to show you to your Warriors. You may pray if you wish, and when you are done, I'll bring you to your rooms."
Hikitsu walked in slowly, then knelt before Genbu, closing his eyes and offering up a prayer to his patron.
