Scary information really that a priestess had gone missing. More mystery and intrigue it seemed. Maybe staying overnight wouldn't be such a good idea for them either. That would be something they would need to discuss as a group once she got back together with the others. There was still more to do though and she continued on her way to keep searching the area.

As Kokonoi was speaking to Amia a group of pilgrims walked by heading towards the main building to pray and make an offering. As they passed by the following exchange could be heard.

"I hear that the Moto family still has found their youngest. He came here to pray several months ago and hasn't been seen since. Some people say that he wandered out of the shrine boundaries and that's why he's missing." One man said.

"That's terrible!" A lady next to the man gasped, "You would think the caretakers would do more to keep people from wandering out of the boundaries. I mean... I heard the other day that one of the priests stayed overnight and went missing. What is this world coming to?!"



As Galatea searched around she ended up stumbling upon a strange shard. It was mostly white with some color on it. Certainly this could be a clue of some sort. Best to hold onto it until tomorrow for Tadashi to check out.



On her tactful retreat from the glaring priestess, Lorelai walked past some priests and priestess carrying some boxes and talking.

"I still can't believe it took this long for the head priestess to make a policy change to have us leave at night. I mean how many incidents do we have to go through before they start looking out for our safety." A priestess complained.

"I can't believe they finally made the change. It's so nice to go back to the mainland each night but they've never cared about our comfort. I mean think about how bad the beds were here. Plus they had so many of us working on all those different projects..." A priest replied before walking out of earshot.

as cloe woke up, she must have been sleeping and had no clue what was going on, but found something beside her.

Having tucked away the strange shard Galatea continued on, passing close to some more people. Hoping to glean more information.

Masa had stuck strictly to the beach but as the day moved on and night crept ever closer she decided to run as close to where she had initially swam ashore. Peering out she now had to hope that the boat returned soon as she wanted to go back home as soon as possible.

As Amia was thinking on everything, another priestess came near her. She held out an ofuda, like the one she had received earlier. The priestess felt she might need it, so she took it carefully, with a thank you. She didn't know if she needed that much protection, but she was alright with having a little extra. Once the priestess left, she made sure no one was watching, before taking it and placing it with the other on her actual self. She was wondering if they were getting spooked by things.

As Kokonoi listened in he got a weird feeling almost making him sick to his stomach. As he looks around find the source he notices a dark skinned priestess with jet black hair and dark eyes which was in stark contrast with her traditional miko outfit. She seems to be looking for something at first but then locks eyes with you, causing the sick feeling to grow more intense. It might be best to leave this area before she can make her way to you through the crowd.



As Lorelai focused on something else in order to avoid being detected a loud snap sounded from a nearby tree with a few cries of alarm. A loud thud quickly followed. Turning towards the sound you see a decent sized tree branch broke off, the one end slightly charred, and just missed several people. If you look up to the branches fast enough you'll catch sight of some fur disappearing from sight.

Sea Shine ended up starting his search near where Lorelai was and ended up hearing the crash of the tree branch that broke off. As such he also had the chance to see some fur disappearing up in the tree as some shrine caretakers rushed over to clear the branch and find out what happened.




Galatea was in luck with this particular group of tourists. With it now getting towards the early afternoon they seem to be abuzz with gossip. One was reminding the group that they only had a couple more hours before they needed leave, well ahead of the last call ferry as apparently they all had dinner plans on the mainland.

"We know we know.... I still can't believe that a priestess went missing! Did they send out a search party to look for her?" One said.

"That's the weird thing. They searched within the shrine but I heard that they refuse to send out a proper search party to look around the forest outside of the shrine. The claim it's too dangerous and that it would just result in more people disappearing." Another chimed in, "How lazy can these priests be to not even go looking for one of their own!?"

Before you could find out more, an intense feeling of dread washes over you. You casually glance around and spy a priestess glaring at you. Really made you think of the expression 'if looks could kill'. Maybe it's best to move on and look somewhere far away from this lady.



Apparently several priestesses thought Amia's illusion person was in dire need of protection and kept giving her Ofuda. As she was tucking in the protective charm into a safe spot, a group of tourists walked by.

"I mean it makes sense to not send out a search party if they know that more people will disappear." One person said.

"Yeah but how do they know?! I mean I've only started to hear of people disappearing recently." Another replied.

"You need to listen to your elders more then. Everyone knows that people disappear off this island if they're not in the shrine. The shrine is the only safe spot to be at night... and sometimes the day." A third person chimed in.

"You mean used to be. Not safe at night anymore..." The first person interjected as the group continued on their way.



((As a note to all players! I am now changing the rolls on the first page so go by that going forward. Also it is now in the afternoon with night coming. Night will begin to fall next Tuesday, 9/12. As such everyone can roll as they like. Just know that replies from me will still be pretty much once a day in the evening unless it's the weekend but you will be able to go back and edit your replies to make them make sense with the replies.))

Mezcla had certainly learned some interesting tidbits from the two separate conversations he had heard so far. There was a lot to learn from it but still so much unknown which was frustrating him a bit more than he liked to admit. He was, ultimately, a rather nosy one and liked to find out all the information he could any time the chance arrived. For now he just put the priests' words in the back of his mind to bring up with the others when they got back together after the exploration was done. Shaking his head he decided to move on, what else could he find out before the searching was called off for now?
