Marcus is still down trying to catch his breath, when Avari stomps on his knees. Suddenly, he understands why his father doesn't move as fast as he did when Marcus was a kid. Damn it that hurt. Still, Marcus rolls to the side and reaches up to grab the ropes, using them to pull himself to his feet again

Avari feels something come over him, a sense of anger at the punishment he's taken, and he wants to take it out on Marcus.
He follows him to the ropes and attempts to put his knee in to the back of Marcus' neck against the ropes.

Marcus finds himself caught on the middle rope in what he could only describe as payback for his own earlier choke, as Avari plants his knee on the back of his neck to hold him there. Much like Marcus earlier, the referee would eventually have to give him a five count to break

The crowd clearly weren't expecting that move, as the ref begins his count.
One!
Two!
Three!
Four!
Fi-
Avari releases late in to the count as the ref dresses him down a little. Fusion takes a moment to raise his arms in the air and pump up the crowd, watching Damone to see if he gets to his feet.

Marcus finally has some relief and can breathe. He reaches up and grabs the top rope to pull himself up again, a bit of his temper having sparked now as well

Not wanting to give him much of a moment, Avari rushes at Marcus and attempts to clothesline him over the top rope!

truthfully the past couple of minutes had been rougher than Marcus expected, and Avari was quick on his feet. He finds himself sent out over the top rope, managing to come down on his feet but stumbling back and leaning against the barricade

Avari gripped his back a little and arched it, still feeling the pain from the punishment dealt to him earlier.
He analyzed Marcus on the outside, watching him patiently. Against the barricade he sat, but when he went to stand up Avari will bounce off the ropes and come flying through the nearside for a suicide dive!

Marcus straightens up, ready to get back into the ring, as Avari bounces off the ropes coming in for a suicide dive. Marcus looks to intercept him just as he's coming through with a straight right hand to the side of the head to derail him

Avari comes rushing at the ropes and ready to dive through, right as he's caught by a hard shot to the head. It catches him in his tracks and he leans precariously on the middle rope, his torso hovering over the ring apron.

Marcus lets out a breath of relief. He'd just barely been quick enough to cut Avari off that time. Moving off to the side several steps, he would aim to run in and bigboot Avari in the side of the head

The crowd wait and watch as Marcus comes along with a massive big boot, sending Avari tumbling and crashing to the mats below, not slumped up near the barricade.

Marcus quickly goes to pull Avari up, aiming to roll him back into the ring and slide in after him. at which point, he'd move to the corner to put some distance between the two. This isn't Marcus being altruistic, as the plan is to charge in with a spear as soon as Avari is standing

Fusion rolled in to the ring, subconsciously getting to his hands and knees. He made his way slowly to his feet, using the ropes as an aid to get there. Turning around and looking for his opponent, he then felt a searing pain in his ribs as he was speared in to the center of the ring!

Finally having planted Avari and returned a favor from earlier, Marcus quickly goes for the pin
