Drako finds himself brought to his feet, only to be the victim of a suplex himself, Dean's Anchor Slam, which the challenger wisely goes right into the pin.
one...two..t...
Drako kicks out before the third count can complete, a narrow escape this time

“Argggh”
Dean slammed his hand into the canvas in anger as the crowd was relieved. It was milliseconds away, and Rosario was quick to show that with his fingers and point at the ref, mumbling a ton of words. The ref ignored the manager as Dean took a few labored breaths before rising to his feet. And speaking up for one of the first times.
“You have a lot in you, but how much.” It was rather respectful words, but it was what the kid was feeling.
Dean would head towards the ropes and begin to climb to the top. This was the first time anyone had seen him go up in the air willingly and their was anticipation for what he was planning.

Drako begins to get to his feet again, a bit disoriented still from the latest exchange. But he's aware enough to know he has to find the challenger, as he turns in the general direction of where Dean is on the top rope

Dean, seeing his opponent is to his feet, knew it was time to jar his opponent with a strike as hard as he could. He threw his hands up in a double axe handle and jumped off of the turnbuckle, looking to land with all his weight onto the head of Drako.

Drako unfortunately is just disoriented enough to turn right into the double ax handle, knocking him back to the mat again. It would seem the tide has shifted in favor of the challenger, as the champion attempts to recover on the mat

Dean crumpled to the canvas once he landed on the mat. Holding his leg, he accomplished his goal, the champion was down, but the jump was not smart for his leg. He screamed as Rosario rang advice from the outside.
“Pin him kid, this is your chance!”
Dean obliged as he crawled to Drako, laying on top of him to go for a pin attempt.

one...two..
Drako kicks out yet again, much to the relief of the crowd. He is well aware of how close of a call that was and that he has to find a way to regain control fast if he wants to leave here as champion

Dean laid on the mat, bracing his leg as the referee denied him the 3 count. No use if getting upset, especially if there was a billion other things on his mind. He would try to get up to a knee, and try to grab drakos arm for an armbar, having his injured leg around drakos chest. This was his way of not having to be on his leg, byt who knew if it would be advantageous

Drako's instincts kick in with the attempt at an armbar, and he quickly brings his arms together to prevent the armbar from being fully locked in. As he does so, he attempts to swing his left leg up and kick Dean in the side of the head

Dean feels the boot as he blinks rapidly, Drakos arms now locked together. The kick looked simple but actually did a lot to jar the rookie. But Dean is stubborn, and will try once more, now attempting to pull his arms apart to lock in the armbar.

Drako knows better than to let himself get caught in the armbar. Continuing to keep his arms lock, he swings his foot again aiming to kick Dean in the head until he lets him free

The first kick hits as Dean shakes it off, he has a hard head and it was time to use it. He kept pulling at the arms as another kick planted him on the head. The crowd now going "Ay" With the kicks. A giant AY is heard form the crowd as the 3rd kick is incoming and Dean feels the exhaustion hits as he lets go of the arm bar attempt and rolls off of the champion.

Drako is free now and rolls to his feet, but that injured leg has been in his eye since before the match even began. Drako grabs for the leg, but this time, he isn't going for any old hold. Time to give a bit more a throwback, as he attempts to lock the younger man in a figure four leglock

The crowd popped as the Figure four was locked in and Dean's face blew up with emotion. He felt his legs intertwine as pain and panic flooded his mind. He laid his weight on his wrist as he sat up, trying to figure out the next move. He needed out!
Rosario recognized the danger as well as he started cheering on Dean. "The Ropes! The Ropes!".
Dean would respond by trying to scoot both men an inch towards the ropes.

to be fair, there is a downside to the figure four. There's not a lot of room to maneuver. The positive side of that, is that it'll make Dean exert more energy trying to escape it either way. So Drako simply attempts to keep the pressure on the legs while several audience members chant for the challenger to tap
