From behind the tree that she was attempting to cower from the bloodthirsty enemy that Isis was encountering, she took the solitary moments to reign in herself for a moment, while still maintaining the frightened sobs that she had been giving off. Of course, with the softened tone of the lavender haired shinobi as she mentions that she was not expecting to hit her with the shuriken, along with the obvious thud of the weapon in her hand hitting the ground, Isis' pale red gaze lit up immediately. This could be the chance she was waiting for! Stab the ******** b***h in the heart the moment she got close, and end this charade once and for all without needing to actually go into full on conflict between the two of them! She may even be able to scurry on out of here before any of those other people that were in the classroom and what not managed to find their location and notice the third dead person within the Academy grounds! She immediately rose a hand to her cheek again, using the press against the wound to remind her of what she was doing, and bring the smirk that was slowly forming across her lips away once again. Thankfully she was behind the tree, making it easier for her to hide her features from the female that was heading her way. Of course, by the time that Raelyn had made it around the tree and in front of her, Isis was not expecting the female to scoop her up immediately into a full on hug. A ******** warm, inviting and even comforting, hug!? What?! She was trying to murder her moments ago, literally threatening to hand her into the authorities or whatever and everything else. Isis was awestruck, what an insane change of heart between before and now from this girl, who revealed her name to be Raelyn Sanada. She had already obviously put two and two together, based on the information she knew and what had been practically yelled her way from this female earlier, but this sudden and unexpected change of heart had completely thrown the meticulous planning that Isis had gone through completely out the god damned window! Isis stumbled backwards a bit, a look of partial shock stretched across her tear and blood stained face as she slumped against the tree and simply allowed her pale red hues to stare almost blankly in Raelyn's direction before she rose both hands up to her face and rubbed her eyes roughly, while raising up to her full height once again. Still using the tree behind her as support, she took a deep inhale of breath before she would begin speaking to Raelyn in response to all the things she had said up until this point. "I t-told you I d-didn't do it. I wasn't even around.. I bumped into t-that guy, cause I heard his stomach g-growling from the bushes, and decided to share m-my food.. Then all t-this happened.." She said, her voice rather quiet as she rose a hand up to hold the cheek with the cut on it. "My name is Akasun, Isis.. I didn't know your grandfather, but my father did I t-think.. I don't know.. I haven't seen him in y-years. He j-just vanished without a word and left me a-alone." She says while sniffling and looking away from Raelyn and towards the ground for a moment. "A-All I was told was there was some Sanada guy around, and I should stay away from him cause he probably holds a grudge- Or something like t-that." She says finally her hands falling to her sides as she soon attempts to brush the dirt and specks of blood from her gown to the best of her capabilities. This thing was completely ruined at this point, she'd have to go get a whole ******** new one when she gets back to Hidden Sand. What a waste of good fabric! But it seems like she might be scoring a second pawn for the future here today at least, so maybe it wasn't entirely a waste of time after all.

The soft humming sound, something associated to a piece of music and yet the melody could not be placed to any specific song or piece of music known to the public masses, or at least that was what would certainly be assumed by those who may come across it. The stark white suit of the figure that slowly strolled through the Academy's main gates, cast his dull gray gaze around the area of the Academy even as he stepped into it. "Ah.. The lovely scent has already filled the air of this place, perhaps such a thing is a definite sign of my coming, and the work to which I must do here.." The male says as he slowly inhales the air of the Shinobi Academy, before gradually making his way towards the main entrance of the school itself. His stride was slow and steady, he was neither in a rush or in necessary need of a direction for him to walk in. After all, he was here to help the people, not here to achieve anything in the slightest. The newly appointed Spiritual Head had arrived to educate and advance the beliefs of the masses in ways that his predecessors had not. They had never once left the village, since the time that their savior had presented themselves upon the blood red streets of Hidden Blood. Now that he had taken up the mantle as the next Spiritual Head, he was able to push the beliefs of his village to the point of allowing himself to actually head out into the world. As Haemon comes to a stop just outside the doorway that lead into the Academy building itself, a slow and casual smile formed upon his previous expressionless face, he stretched a pale white hand forwards and grasped the handle to the door and then immediately draws the door open as he allows someone else who was walking up behind him to step in ahead of him. "After you, I insist." He says with that same smile spread upon his lips before he follows in behind the stranger and into the Shinobi Academy itself. As soon as Haemon steps through the doors, that mysterious melody he had been humming resumes once again, his stark white form slowly beginning it's way down the main hallway of the Shinobi Academy and through the decently sized building as he went. For now he was simply observing his surroundings, gathering in the numbers and locations of the classrooms and those within them. This was crucial towards his plan of gathering an accurate following and allowing them to reap the benefits of aligning with his Village and the Church that it harbored within.

Haemon would make his way down the hallway, smiling and greeting anyone who would look upon him with a slight nod of his head in their direction as he walked, his hands clasped behind his back. His dull gray gaze soon falling upon a rather active room that was ahead of him, the sound of talking and movement bringing this particular room to his attention, as two females slowly make their way out of the room and begin heading back the way he had just come from, towards the entrance of the Academy themselves. Other than giving them a momentary glance and the casual nod of his head as a greeting, he paid them no real mind. His pale gray gaze passing over the other occupants of the room with little interest before he would begin to slowly make his way away from this particular room once again and continue his way down the hall. That same mysterious tune still being hummed in a rather casual form all the while that he spent walking throughout the building. He did not have a plan just yet, but he had come across just about every nook and cranny as he walked, as well as took note of all those that were within the building itself. Haemon knew there was certainly those that could be outside in the multiple training grounds as well, but he did not need to worry too much about those in the long run, after all they would all see his message when he leaves soon. Haemon's dull gray eyes fell upon the back door that lead off to the training grounds beyond, smiling in greeting to yet another random academy student that he came across as he stepped up to the door and soon opened it, passing back out into the light of the day outside. "Well then.. The tour is done, and the light of day is still in full effect. I believe it is about time to begin the proceedings before accepting the possibilities of new members to my flock.." He says, while he casually turns around and faces the back door to the building itself. He would reach into a pocket of the white suit he wore, and immediately draw forth what would appear to be a surgical knife of sorts. Lifting the knife in front of his face, he casually slid the weapon's blade down the palm of his left hand until blood began to pull up in his outstretched palm. Nodding his head in approval, Haemon slid the knife back into his suit pocket and then placed his fingers into the pooling blood of his palm, while his eyes began to shine in the sight of the flowing blood that was accumulating there. "That should be well enough for now.." He says, while taking a step forwards towards the door that he had just exited out of and stretching his hand forwards that he had dipped into his makeshift blood red paint. He would immediately begin to draw the symbol he desired upon the wood of the door before him, stretching and craning himself to make sure it was as large as he could make it in all directions in order to cover the entirety of the closed door. After several minutes of dedicated painting, Haemon completed his work, a symbol that would raise the necessary emotions in those that knew of it's use, while still allowing for his religion to spread forth throughout the land with it's appearance as well.
"Perfect.. Let us all rejoice, in the coming of the Blood!" Haemon exclaims loudly to the air around him, before he turns and begins walking away from the door he had just placed his symbol upon and out towards the area behind the Academy. He had completed task number one, and now was about time that he began the tasks that he was truly here to commit to. His hand still dripping in the crimson life liquid that he had devoted to the creation of his symbol with. His dull gray eyes peering around as he took in the new sights and narrowed in on a rather decently sized group of lower end seeming Academy Students who were outside attempting to get some decent throwing star training in. Haemon wasted no time, stepping out directly in front of them while they all began to scream in surprise. A shuriken actually lodging itself into his chest as he simply smiled openly to them all and began walking towards them now, blood beginning to pool and stain the stark white suit that he wore. "Friends! My name is Haemon, and I have come here on a journey to enlighten you all to an existence that may change your very lives all together! Long ago, a being who many had considered to be a God among men, stepped down into our lands with one soul purpose in mind.. Uniting the world together into one entity, one strong supportive union that all that within would be strengthened by.." Haemon began, while continuing to walk towards the startled students. His voice steady and unhindered by the pain he had to feel, having a throwing star lodged into his ribs at this very moment. Haemon did not even glance down at the object, as he continued forwards until he was standing before the group of no more than five different academy students who were all frighteningly listening to his speed. "The power that Our lord and Savior, the God of Blood himself, graced us with. With the belief that we would all be free in this life, by joining hands with each other and chasing the evils that terrorize our very existences every day. Greed. Corruption. Manipulation. All things that can be managed and pushed aside thanks to the Blood God, Serkan. With his arrival, a new world was placed before our eyes, those of us within Chigakure now wish to bring that same peace forwards onto all of the rest of the Shinobi World!" He exclaims at last, raising both hands up into the air, as blood splashes across the ground from his still bleeding palm. "Joining our cause is the first step, in ridding these negative weights from your shoulders, and the shoulders of your families! Your commitment in spreading the word of our savior is all I ask of you all today.. There is no catch, nor fees. Just go home when your school day is done, and bring up the Blood God to your friends and families. I assure you that we will all be thankful, after this is done!" He finishes, while lowering his hands back to his sides, blood having dripped down his left wrist and begun to stain the white sleeve of his suit jacked while he spoke. "With the more professional declarations and requests out of the way.. I, as a Spiritual Head for the Church of Blood, can grant upon any of you that wish it, a blessing of our beliefs in order to strengthen your resolve and further your speed of training.. Should you desire such a trait, you may meet me to the side over here.. Otherwise, please continue as you were.. Oh, and here, this is yours" He says while yanking the throwing star from his chest and handing it back to the one that had thrown it when he had stepped in front of them. He smiles kindly upon the frightened student, before he slowly makes his way to the side and stands still. Watching them expectantly, with the hopes that at least one would take his offer of a blessing, so he may continue to spread his good will to those around him.

User ImageVanessa smiled warmly when Hadrian mentioned that his mother had read the children's novel to him when he was younger. "Mine too." she replied simply. Perhaps The Fox and the Dandelion was her favorite children's novel because her mother had read it to her. In fact she had read the novel more times than she would care to admit. Once the pair of older women started talking the first noticeable thing was that Vanessa's inquiry about the murders was not answered. It was a typical trick that adults used by simply sweeping a topic they didn't want to address under the rug. Hearing the red haired woman laugh, Vanessa's her cheeks would turn a shade of soft pink. The white haired woman wasn't blind? As the woman lifted up the blindfold, The young girl felt confused, frustrated, and embarrassed. Why was Yuka even wearing it then? "Ah forgive me." she could barely apologize. It was then that Hadrian would introduce himself before offering to share one of the training scrolls with her causing Vanessa's eyes to brighten. "It's nice to meet you too. Please.. I haven't gotten any of the scrolls yet." she would say while inching closer to look over the material. "Do you actually think the teacher is going to come back today?" she would ask in a hushed voice. Once more her attention was grabbed by the two older girls. The pair seemed to be taking their leave. However Yuka would scold the one who had not introduced herself first. "Be safe, Yuka." she would say with a friendly wave. The red haired one would say something odd before starting to leave. However she would stop to linger a bit with some grin. Vanessa would awkwardly wave at her. What was this woman doing? After the odd one finally left, Vanessa would turn back to Hadrian. "She's really really weird. I... I think she likes you though." she would practically whisper with a tone of uncertainty and discomfort.

Callum
Hidden Arts (Jenrei Clan)
User Image

Callum hit the dirt of the clearing at full speed, skidding sideways to a stop after several yards in a three-point stance, teeth bared, ready for combat… but there didn’t seem to be any obvious predators here. Only the flower-haired girl from earlier, and a small child, who did not seem like she was dangerous (though she did look a lot like the predator from earlier. Callum intuitively understood how such a mistake could be made.)

With the danger seemingly past, Callum allowed the tension of his body to release, as he stood to his full height, scratching the back of his head with an ebarrassed grin.

”No danger now? Callum sorry. Callum scare.”

He looked around for a sign of his new friend, the girl with the steel claw. Tree Mott. But she was not there yet. He hoped she was as quick to realize the danger had passed as he was, lest she use her claw on an innocent by mistake.

As seconds passed with the Scythe wielder still trying to process individual events, it was clearly evident that Ciara had answered her own question. The amount of students that filled the class prior had diminished as quickly as the students entered. One or two in particular had made their exit through...the window? Then Ciara's peripheral noticed another woman with violet hair that had suddenly packed her bags and left after peeking through the window. Maybe she was on the same page as Ciara; all this time she thought she was going to be tardy, what type of curriculum was going to be utilized, what type of learning style the teacher was going to possess. But all the teacher(who pretended her was one) had shown the class(unlikely inadvertently), was that he had a sharp wit.

Ciara's eyes briefly narrowed in suspicion as to the sudden magic the "teacher" used; manifesting a pen out of thin air. Given the impression the boy presented to the class out the gate, his demeanor and magician tricks had a commonality as to who he was. Meanwhile the other student with the white, or maybe sliver(platinum?) hair took it on the chin with zero signs of overreacting. The stew of awkwardness was in a flux of boil and simmer inside of the Void student as the verbal squabble came to a close; ending in the substitute teacher beckoning the more well dressed student outside of the room. The academy student more than obliged, but not before leaving 2 messages; the former which seemed to be targeted throughout the entire class. And then the latter one was a more 'personal' message. "Was that a threat?" he asked Xzavior and the other student talking to him previously?

"Who the hell pissed in his cappuccino this morning?"
And who added in an extra caffeine shot in everyone else's?

More importantly, was the seat even properly warm for as long as the class had lasted? Her eyes closed, exhaling through her nostrils as she pinched the bridge of her nose. "I could have slept in...ordered Ramen, Pizza and never had to move so much as a foot.." And yet here she was. And to entertain the idea of coming here for another session the next day would be ludicrous. At least one lesson he suggested she'd take it to her heart and clutch it during the remainder of her time here; self studying. It was as clearer than a mirror that if Ciara wanted to get the best of this academy, then she would have to seek out knowledge herself. But did she want to at this point? The early morning meant that ramen and pizza would be super fresh. The other academy student next to Xzavior seemed to be on the same page as Ciara; attention wise however one could say otherwise.

"Count me in." Ciaran insisted to the brown haired boy. Shortly after he made his way towards the exit, she reached for her scythe-case and followed suit. "Please..." Worst case scenario between the three, wouldn't even qualify for an award compared to this scenario before them if she stayed a moment longer. "I didn't get your name by the way..."

Rolling out the training scroll he had on the table he situated it so that both him, and Vanessa could easily take there time reading it together without getting in each other way. "No problem, and um not sure things are a bit hectic today either way we just got to learn at least one of these for the exam so we only really need the teacher for that I guess." Hadrian just shrugged his shoulders as he trailed off those blood red dyes of his flickering to the corner of his eyes as he gazed towards the red headed Lexy out on the edge of his peripheral vision. She was definitely someone to watch out for in the future there could be no mistaking those blunt attempts at threats were meant for him, and he did not much enjoy having such a lecherous, and uncomely woman like that focusing her attentions on him. "Yeah no, like isn't exactly the word I would use for someone like her." Hadrian shook his head letting out a sigh now that the older women were gone.

"My mother warned me about women like that, and just by those eyes I can tell she is a very bad person.....though she could prove to be an interesting experiment, but i mean that wouldn't be without it dangers though certainly could prove fun if things go to plan."Hadrian caught himself giving a light chuckle as he brushed some of his hair out of his face. "Well that's nothing I need to worry about right now, and not proper talk for a classroom."He gives Vanessa a crooked grin, but in his mind he was already thinking of what kind of disease he should try to work on after the academy that would ravage Lexy in the most entertaining fashion the young Senimaru was not taking her threats lightly in the slightest. "First thing first though is to learn these techniques...so what village are you from by the way I'm from the Hidden Substance."

Tiamat dashed quickly behind the strange male that she had come across in this small forest section. He seemed to know exactly where they needed to go, which was good, because she had already become lost once running through here. Perhaps running through the trees was a better approach after all? She would need to keep that in mind for future instances of forest sprinting or other such situations she may come under in the future. As she saw Callum slide to a halt, entering into what could only be assumed to be a full combat mode stance, she immediately gripped her sword in her dominant hand, full on expecting for the two of them to be coming head first into another blood bath like the one that had occurred just outside of the Academy's classroom window. Of course what her gaze fell upon, was nothing more than a heartwarming scene of hugs and good behavior. A scene that she noticed even Callum was thrown off by, seeing him actively look around until she came up to slide to a stop nearby him and immediately released her weapon from her grasp, allowing it to stay in it's sheath held in her other hand. "I.. Just.. What?" She says, as a look of confusion falls across her features and she momentarily looks at Callum, forgetting her embarrassment for the moment before turning her attention back upon Raelyn and the silver haired girl that was in a full on hug from Raelyn herself. Not sure whether to assume that there was still a threat, or maybe something even more sinister was going on, Tiamat slowly took a few steps towards the two girls while looking them over carefully. "Is.. Everything alright, Raelyn?" She calls, while glancing back with an unsure expression towards Callum before immediately focusing back on the two embracing females once again.

Shun, like a fox, was a sly opponent to deal with. He had weapons on him, but they remained hidden in his lose, flowing robes. A kusarigama wrapped up along his right arm, blade just hidden from sight from the Uchiha boy. "Ah... how the times change." The fox boy would chime as Naka claimed that the Uchiha no longer needed to hide anymore. His gaze still careful to avoid the boy's gaze as he paces a few steps before his trap wire of chakra string, though it seemed that this Sanada girl seemed rather popular as a wild looking male threw himself in the clearing, followed by a pink haired swordswoman. "Seem the young lady has guests now... so there is no reason to hold you up. Shame... I thought we would get to see her prowess... though it seems she has done something her father never could." A foxy grin painting his face with a warm laugh as he shakes his head, '... but if the young lady is safe, then I could totally fight the 'non-Genjutsu' Uchiha.' The male was trying too hard for Shun to drop his guard and glance into his eyes. 'What a foolish boy.'

Anyway, nothing was going to happen if one of the two did not act now. Shun leap into air and with a flick of his left wrist, sent out a wave of senbon needles from his loose sleeve. The agile, quick male kicking off the trees, moving between them to keep himself from being in one place for too long. "Come on Mr. Uchiha... Let us see than fire release you were praising." The fox-like male teased while springing from tree to tree, remaining always in motion. Shun still grinning like a fox, as the senbon from before while a distraction, and even now as he leap and kicked from the trees around the young Uchiha male a thin, nearly invisible string of chakra was left behind. This was creating a net, or web, around Nakahiro as the fox moved.

User ImageVanessa glanced over the scroll that was out on the table. The least she could do was pretend to be attentive to the academic material. However all the conversations made it hard to concentrate, not that she minded. It was hard not to sigh in defeat that they would be stuck there for the time being. "Do you know anything about what happened?" she would ask curiously. If she remembered correctly he was there before her. When the red haired woman was brought back up again Hadrian would quickly dismiss her observations. The dismissal was followed by a story about his mother warning him about women about her, and something about her eyes. Quickly she would try to vision the looks the red haired woman gave again. Maybe if she could see it again then she would understand. Vanessa did not dwell on those thoughts too long once Hadrian mentioned experiment thing. What was that even supposed to mean? The way he laughed it off, it was a joke right? That crooked grin nearly sent chills down her spine. Silently she prayed that if it was all too real that those things were reserved for bad people like the one lady with the crazy eyes. It was so weird how many unsettling events had occurred in such a short amount of time. Hadrian would bring back attention to the studies they should be learning before asking where she was from. "Hidden Mist." she would reply quickly. It was where she wished she was at instead of here. Maybe what all the older kids were thinking was true and she didn't belong here. Maybe she needed a few more years to understand all the little things the older kids did. Quite frankly she felt inadequate and scared. As insecure as she was in that fleeting moment, she was a proper little lady who rarely showed how she felt. With a surprising sell of smile she would change the subject. "You wanna go out since the teacher is obviously not coming back? We can study more after a tiny bit of fresh air."

Aman Ita Zieds
Hidden Nano (Zieds Clan)
User Image

The sun was beginning to set over the Shinobi Academy, sending waves of orange and purple over the sky like a blanket. The fading sunset the canopy of the small mocked-up forest alight, like kindling flames. Far beneath the leaves, a scrawny figure was crouched down in a ravine, elbow-deep in the mud, a look of determination on their face.

The figure was small and scrawny, just shy of malnourished. Their hair was, beneath he layers of mud and dust that colored it, a brilliant shade of pale pink, like the petals of an orchid. The figure was neither male or female in appearance or rather, somewhere between. In one hand they clutched a wooden staff, a bulbous clump of various mushrooms affixed to the end, little puffs of spores trailing behind every movement.

Aman-Ita was filthy, covered in much up to the elbows and knees, with smudges marking most of the rest of their body. Despite their general dirtiness, Ama wore a triumphant smile as they stood, holding up their prize, a small black truffle, nearly perfect in appearance, save for the bits of dirt that Ama brushed off before stashing the fungus in a pocket to incorporate later, along with the rest of the day’s prizes. They were having a productive day, even without actually going to class. Ama had never intended to actually study here. There wasn’t anything in those books, or those fancy buildings that would do them any good.

Instead, Ama began to wander around the forest in the fading light, looking for a decent place to bed down for the night. The false forest was not very large, so it didn’t take long before Ama found a place suitable for a night's rest. There was a large tree for shade, and a small stream for water. Everything they needed. Ama took their shirt off, soaking it in the stream before putting it back on, and climbed up into the branches of the tree, laying in the boughs and drifting off quickly. They often slept beneath the leaves, even back home. This old oak wasn’t one of pop’s mangroves, but it’d do for tonight.
---

Ama was the first of their siblings to go to the academy, despite being the youngest. Chuck and Rosetta had never shown much interest in furthering their education, or leaving their swamp. They were content to stay right there, tending the mangroves and azaleas with Ma and Pop. When they were younger, Ama had envied their ability to do what their parents did. In their younger days, Ama had felt quite alone, especially among the plant-affiliated folk of the Hidden Nano. Ama was as like the other Zieds as a mushroom to a flower.

Truth be told, it was more out of a sense of obligation than anything else that Ama had even come so far from home to this academy. They didn’t particularly want to learn to fight or to become some sort of powerful shinobi. They were content with their swamp and thair mushrooms, where there was nobody to misunderstand them, nobody to look at them weird, no matter how weird they were. They were unlike everyone they knew, and their powers were no different. If Ama was to learn to work with the colony, they would need to train. On their own. There was nobody to teach them, at least nobody they knew about. As far as Ama knew, they were the only one with powers like theirs.

---

When Ama awakened, it was nearing noon, judging from the shadows on the ground and the position of the sun in the sky. While Ama had slept, the world around them had come alive with activity. There were birds and squirrels flitting from branch to branch above their head. Insects sang openly, greeting the day with enthusiasm seldom mustered with human voices. A smile came to ama’s lips as they swung down off of the branch and began wading into the water, hastily scrubbing the now-dried dirt from their arms and legs, face and neck. They didn’t manage to get all of the dirt, but more of it than not. That seemed to be enough for the strange, but cheerful teen.

They waded back out of the stream, the mycelium that mingled with their flesh drinking the moisture out of their clothes within seconds of emerging from the water. A fresh layer of dirt caked the bottoms of bare feet, glued to the skin with the now-dried water. Ama knelt down in the dirt, pulling a handful of specimens from their leather pouch and arranging them in a neat line. One by one, they began to pick them up, turning them a few times in their hands. White threads of mycelium began to twist and wrap around the specimen, devouring and absorbing it into the colony. Ama did the same with the other 6 specimens, before standing, brushing their hands off on their now-dry tunic, and continuing on their journey.

As they walked, already-filthy feet splashing through mud and pools of water, the whistled a tune to the forest, their staff scattering spores here and there as they walked. Alone in the forest, Ama was in their element. And the colony was enjoying the moist forest air, they knew.

For a long while, the only other sound was the chittering and chirping of the forest wildlife. In an instant, all of that ceased.

Ama looked around warily. These creatures seldom shut up unless given cause, They knew. If they were silent, they had a reason. Ama gripped their staff a little tighter and continued on, a little quicker. The sounds of the forest remained silent, the kind of quiet that was a noise in itself, a kind of oppressive lack of sound that blanketed everything.

The silence was broken with a roar and the sound of crashing brush. The colony reacted before Ama could, a boulder-sized “fist” of mycelium forming out of Ama’s back and slamming into the creature before the child could finish turning. The source of the growl was a mass of fur and teeth and claw. A brown bear, the madness of hunger burning in it’s eyes.

Ama froze in shock and fear, but the mycelium were a flurry of motion, forming another fist and slamming into the creature again before it could stand, knocking it back a few feet. The bear was on it’s feet in an instant, claws flashing out at the fungal attacker, tearing through it like paper.

The sundered fist was replaced by another as soon as it was gone, already on the attack. The Colony and the Bear went back and forth, the colony forming new appendages as quickly as the bear could destroy them, locked in a stalemate.

Another fist formed behind the bear, slamming into it’s back with a sickening crunch. The now-duplicate fists took turns smashing into the bear, pummeling it’s bones to gravel before enveloping the bear (now motionless), and decomposing it within a few minutes. When the subtle motion of the feeding mycelium ceased, the fungi returned to their host, leaving a clean skeleton behind, parts of it a mess of splintered bone.

Ama had not moved or acted the entire time, still frozen in fear. It was another several minutes before the child had the courage to move, slowly at first, as if expecting some new danger to make itself seen. They continued on the path, no longer whistling. It was nearly night again, and they would need to find a place to rest for the night.

---

A short time later, a suitable campsite made itself apparent, much like the first. A tree, a stream, and nothing moving for what felt like miles. Before bed, Ama stood in the dirt, letting the mycelium snake out from their feet and into the ground, searching for nourishment, or interesting things to eat or collect. There were some oyster mushrooms in a tree a few dozen yards up, but they were still young, and would not fruit for at least another rain or two. A few more truffles off to Ama’s right. There did not seem to be any dangerous wildlife around. They took note of the truffles for later, as they climbed up into the branches, pulling their hat down over their eyes, and drifting off into another dreamless sleep.

---

When Ama woke up, their stomach growled uncomfortably. They had not eaten since the previous morning. Sighing, Amanita climbed down from their branch, landing gracefully on the ground. They placed their hand on the bark of the tree. Mycelium snaked out from their pores, into the bark. After a few moments, a mass began to form near their hand, growing rapidle into a large portobello mushroom. ”Thank ya kindly.” Ama spoke aloud as they pulled the mushroom free from the bark and took a large bite. As they pulled their hand from the tree, the mycelial threads snapped and the mass of fungus quickly withered away.

Breakfast was finished within a few short minutes, and Ama continued on their way, whistling again as if forgetting all about yesterday’s bear attack. As they walked, they swung their staff merrifly, poking here, prodding there. The colony could find new converts easily, but Ama rathered enjoyed the search, and it was something they were quite good at. Within a few short hours, the leather pouch was, once more, filled to burst.

Ama paused again to incorporate roughly half of the mushrooms into the colony, eying each one to determine it’s species and characteristics and deciding their worthiness based on some hidden calculus. The other ones were kept for other reasons, likely just their appearances.

Satisfied, they continued on, whistling on the while, making their way out of the forest, stopping to collect a few oysters here, a chicken of the woods there, a truffle or two. For such a small forest, this place was teeming with fungus. Ama would have to come back here, some time.

For now, They were just happy to be heading home.

It had felt as an age or more has passed since last the specter walked the halls of the not-so hallowed halls of this place of learning. Kagami traced her pale ethereal fingertips along the wall as she walked rather slowly through the halls of the academy. It had been such a time since she had been through these halls; the last being in a time of chaos and strife where ones survival was aimed at how well they dealt with threats and not even the halls of a place of learning were safe from such chaotic ebbs and flows. How her power had only grown from the last time she recalls from being in such a place. Over a hundred years ago the specter would not have materialized quite as much being little more than an outline or shadow. It wasn't till she was gifted by a very remarkable man a body that she could take on such a solid form. Yet here, and now, her visage was visible, even if her image blurred and faded further down her arms and towards her feet. As it were Kagami already looked to be floating through the air, due to the way her legs faded before reaching her feet. The only article of clothing the specter seemed to be clad in was a simple black sundress the flowed around her legs. Her crimson eyes stopping as they idly fall on a symbol painted in a blood red paint... or was it... actual blood. A grin teased across her face as the heavy iron rich aroma was a hard one to miss. 'Angra Mainyu? Yet... Crius is no longer around.' Now intrigued by the symbols and who may be the one drawing them, Kagami floated down the halls while following the painted symbols through the academy grounds. As the only 'surviving' member of the Angra Mainyu it was her duty to find out who was using their likeness, and for what reasons.

As she moved through the halls, following these 'holy' symbols, Kagami's mind wanders over time she had joined the Angra Mainyu, and meet a few of the generals.
-- The area is a complete and odd stark white color, and the ground appears to be littered in sand though there is no heat. Black trees rise from every angle, lacking in leaves and appearing to be just like that of bone by black. Above everything, is an endless expanse of black sky where a single crimson moon sits permanently transfixed in all its full moon glory, just behind the tower that rises steadily from the base of an equally almost marble black castle off in the distance. Flowing just past the black castle like building is a crimson river of blood, snaking its way out and off into the distance and the black bone like forests beyond. The entire area appears to be heavily weighted in an almost ominous way as if the sky itself will fall at way second onto the pure white sand. The sand, at closer examination, is actually ground bone, ground so thoroughly that it appears and feels like a fine white powder. Painted upon every shuttered window, and every door is the bleeding symbol of the Angra Mainyu. The tower glows like a light house, yet with a similar crimson light, much like the moon. This light appearing to trail almost lazily across the ground, like a search light. The specter was warned that the search light would trigger the defense system of the base, but luckily, she was an expected guest. A few weeks prior Kagami had meet a man, whose body was the finest of craftsmanship. This individual, Cruis, had invited her to come and collect a body once she provided the 'materials' required for her own custom body. It was an easy task to obtain the bodies and clans that the specter wished for her own body; Kagurou, Kidoumaru, Abumi, Kon, Zoto, Bikou, Replon, Howard, Dante, and Daimyo... all went into this body to make it a finely crafted killing machine. Though now after years of being unmaintained, it lacked the clan blood abilities it once had. Upon entering a room, by floating harmlessly through the wall, Kagami comes across the body lying in pieces and parts across the room. "Oooh..." She lets out as she lifts one of the arms in the air while examining its craftsmanship. It would pull from her ethereal grip as the parts and pieces form into a body that was shaped to the specter's specifications. That is when the voice of the puppet master asked if she was impressed with its craftsmanship. he entire body casually begins to shift its entire form, slowly raising itself and then lowering its head, stretching its arms and making sure all the joints were securely locked into place. There didn't seem to be any strings attached to the puppet itself, but at the same time the new puppet like female who's face still resembled a puppet, though the prosthetic skin was casually forming itself across the face and giving it the face of the female as well. The jaw dropping to hang slack for a moment, as if it wanted to talk, and then snapping together again as it. The Kagami puppet casually began to walk forwards towards the ghost, there wasn't far she really needed to move. Her dead eyes casually snapping into light as they gaze upon the ghost, a scythe seeming to form into her right hand, as the emotionless face stares with its dead eyes at the ghost, as it stands there preparing itself for some sort of attack. A ghostly grin crosses her face as the specter can't help but eye over the naked body of the woman that use to be herself, "Its perfect" Was the only sentiment shared before the body was launched into an attack against her with the Koto clan shadow scythe. Floating into a closest wall, Kagami avoids the first swipe of the shadow weapon. It was a test to see if the woman had what it took to own and control her new body. She would flow through the stone and try to reach up from the floor. Her hands aiming to take hold of those ankles to try and possess the puppet. A short chuckle rises from the shadows all around the puppet and Kagami as the puppet's gaze slowly follows the ghost's body with ease. A single eye forming in the center of the puppet's forehead, the combination of the Third Eye and the Ultimate Eye, allowing the alchemy symbol scanning forwards and locking onto her body even as she moved through the floor. Leaping upwards into the air, slamming both palms together, and then pulling them free twin katanas slide from either of its palms, these being the double hilted weapon from Hidden Katana. Since they were equipped with a chakra emitter, they would generate a slight charge of chakra around the blade itself. Making them dangerous to those of ethereal energy that the sword would cut. The puppet's head slowly twists around, as it slashes downwards with these two blades, aiming to slash across either of the extending wrists of Kagami before it falls back to the ground not too far away. The Ultimate Eye remaining locked onto Kagami in order to allow for the puppet to keep a close watch on her movements. Kagami's face shines with a ghostly grin as the area around her begins to slow to her eyes. Every twitch of the puppet's body is recorded in her head as she flies from the ground taking a scratch on her arms from the chakra coated blades. This was the effect of the Universal Time Understanding Style, it didn't actually slow down the opponent, but it did make Kagami perceive the opponent as being slower, and thus it allowed her to react faster. The ghost 'licks' her wound as she glares at the body with the looks of her with that the purple-ish spirit does a few hand seals which creates 99 copies of herself. these Paradox Clones were all her, or at least different variants of her. These copies circle around the false image of Kagami, the plan was simple the Ultimate Eye would be harder to use as she gathered around the body and with so many spirits it would be hard to lock on to her exactly. Each of the Paradox Clones break away then dart back and forth and threw the puppet body, more in a distraction tactic rather than offensive one, but it should buy Kagami the time she needs as she hides among the other spirits of herself. The puppet's entire body slowly begins to twirl as the many versions of Kagami form themselves and begin moving around it. Instead of waiting for an attack in confusion, it uses the Ultimate Eye in order to predict the pathways through the attacks that were coming its way. Moving itself easily out of the way of each attack and sliding the chakra engulfed katana through the attacker at the same time. Once done, the puppet slams a single hand downwards to the ground, a large alchemy circle forming itself around the entire area, with the puppet in the center. As soon as the circle forms, it radiates a deep blue color and then flashes causing an explosion of flame to shoot up all around the puppet, aiming to defeat every clone in one blast. The puppet's body casually spins in its stance, taking control of all the eyes it had in its possession, the entire area slowing down as it uses its HuyaiMetsuki eyes to see everything as if it was moving faster and the opponent was moving slower. It instantly spun around making a full circle where it stood, watching for whatever may come out of the flames to attack it while it stood there, with blades ready. The tricky b*****d! As the puppet spinning and moving gracefully around the oncoming spirits, some of which meet the fate of the chakra blades. After which Kagami pulls back with her clones, still some carelessly banter into the flames created by the puppet's alchemy abilities. Whats left of Kagami's small army by no means remain still, but the leader was working a plan in her mind, on to overwhelm and out power the puppet. She had an idea on the ability of her fuax body's HuyaiMetsuki, and she was hoping that it would at least rival her own Universal Time Understanding Style, though she was likely very wrong. The purple spirit grinned...wickedly as her chakra swelled up and from that grew what appeared to be peacock fan of feathers behind her. This was Kujaku Myouhou, and with her the rest of her clones did the same so that there was no difference between her and them. Now for her plan to fall in action, Kagami and the remaining Paradox Clones launches chakra lines from each of their palms and through the fire. Since it was purely Chakra the strings make it through in decent shape and begin to wrap around the body's arms, legs, and torso. Kagami was using Kujaku Myouhou's Bind technique to lock the puppet body in place and severally limit the movement of her so to be new body. Well, that was not entirely how it was planned. It seems the puppet hadn't been able to react fast enough for the good amount of bind techniques that were coming at it at one time. Within seconds it was completely bound by the techniques and held in place almost by the look of being held still by chains. There were ways that this puppet could have dodged, but it seems the puppeteer had seen enough for it to be something that needed to be worried about. It wasn't Crius that walked out of the shadows on an upper balcony over the long meeting table that had been set up in this room, it was Maeva. Her slender form casually slinking it's way in a rather sexy fashion as she slides up onto the banister and turns her body around on it, lifting a single pale leg up and letting it rest across the edge of the banister as she gazes down with that blank expression of her's down at the now lifeless puppet and the many versions of Kagami that littered the long room below. Her soft looking hands cease their clapping, as she casually places one onto the banister, turning her body a bit more, her other hand coming to rest casually upon her lap. The long black dress being pulled taunt to her slender form. her long black hair was pulled up into a slight bob, a single senbon pushed neatly through the center in order to hold her hair in place. As she begins speaking it first sounds like Crius' voice, and then slowly fades out into her own halfway through. "Congratulations... I on behalf of Crius happily accept your membership into the Angra Mainyu... Please take your new body and get used to it, it should be helpful to you in the future... As well, we should cover it up in something. After all, it's naked right now. As cute as your human body was, I don't need to continue seeing it." Maeva says, her face never taking anything more than an emotionless expression, the end of her words held the tone of the expectation of a giggle, but one did not come. Her slender hand slowly rose from her lap as she looks back for a moment towards the darkened door that was held partially ajar behind her, with a flick of a hand a single chakra string tugged towards her. Bringing the objects that someone was given when they were to join this organization. The long black flowing cloak of the Angra Mainyu, was what Kagami would now receive. The string holding up the cloak easily, as it weaves about like a snake, dropping it downwards in order to fall over the lifeless puppet that stood on the ground below. A flex of her fingers that were on the banister, revealed the sudden whip of chakra strings which spun in a slight spiral, cutting through all the binds in one pull, before the puppet sprang back to life, sweeping its arms upwards and slipping onto the Angra Mainyu cloak with ease. "Now... Where would you like the tattoo. I'll give you a choice, instead of placing it somewhere you may not like it..." Maeva says, before the strings vanish between her fingers and the places they were being used. Her emotionless light blue eyes staring down at Kagami as she lays her hand back onto her lap, waiting patiently. Kagami grins as Crius's voice announces exactly what the spirit wanted to hear. Even before Maeva had a chance to reveal herself, the spirit had possessed and modeled her new body. The nakedness of the non-desc body didn't seem to bother Kagami, then again, she lived in that body and had seen it every day while alive. The changing voice drew Kagami's attention back from the body, so that was Maeva...she was lovely, but the cold emotionless voice didn't seem to match her face and frame. That was sad indeed, but Kagami bows to her proctor and snaps the cloak from the air as it is offered for temporary clothing, "I thank you and him for this chance." She slides the cloak over one shoulder as Maeva asks about the location of the Angra Mainyu tattoo, and with a prideful pat to her chest Kagami looks up, "Here... just above my left breast." The spirit moves her hand away from the location while still wiggling her new body's fingers and toes. As long as she waited for Maeva to brand her as a member of the organization, Kagami seemingly equipped herself with the Angra Mainyu gear; Upgraded Bracelet and Glove on her right hand and the breathing mask on her face. The bracelet and glove would be useful later, but as for the mask? Her body wasn't leaving and couldn't be affected by anything air born, likewise her normal spirit self was immune from almost all forms of sickness. The answer was simple, appearance. Kagami liked the look of the mask, and it was interfering with many of her body's ability and jutsu. --

Freeing herself from her own thoughts, Kagami finds herself at the range were students trained at throwing kunai and shuriken. There was another student, Heamon, was standing in the range with various ninja weapons in him while he preached of a blood god to the other students. Something interesting came up... a name, Serkan. It was a name from her past, and one of the Generals of Angra Mainyu. A playful hearty laugh escapes her as the specter sweeps across the training grounds, "Aaahh~ Serkan... that is not a name I have heard of in over a hundred years? Her crimson eyes falling on the bleeding male as she inspects his injuries, "I take it that you are the one that drew that symbol through the academy?" Her gaze falls to the other students, "You can keep on your practice... you clearly need it if he is still standing, and you cannot harm me anyway." She taunts the other students before returning her attention back to the blood priest, "So tell me... who did you come to know this 'holy' symbol, and Blood God, Serkan?"

If only he could achieve that again. He felt like it was right there. He just needed to grasp it.

XXXHearing the sound of something rushing at him, he frowned and moved to the side, suddenly feeling himself become entangled in some sort of wire and he instantly started to try and struggle out of it. "What the hell is this? Invisible strings? So this is your trick huh?" He snarled as he narrowed his eyes, making sure to make direct contact at all times so that the slip up would eventually happen soon. There was no way he wouldn't look at him now that he was trapped. Carefully maneuvering his hand to his pocket and reaching for a Kunai to cut the strings and get him loose. Now all he needed was some time to work to get free. As long as the idiot got cocky, it would cost him. He also had other tricks up his sleeve. He just needs that chance to execute his techniques and this guy would fall to the prowess and power that was the Uchiha clan. He would make him eat his words about the Uchiha being easy bait to kill many years ago. He wasn't going to allow someone to badmouth his clan like that and get away easily. "If you think this is going to stop me long you are delusional." He snorts as he starts to work the Kunai in the string. No way was he being strung up like easy bait for very long. And now that he knew about this technique he just had to be more careful. Closing the gap between them would be advantageous as he wouldn't get the chance to use his strings so freely anymore without risking his own body getting caught in his own webs. He just had to get close without getting caught again.

Haemon smiled widely, as a couple of the students that he had been addressing would begin to hesitantly step forwards and after a short pause, voice their acceptance of the blessing that he was offering to anyone willing to obtain it. The male slowly nods his head, raising his hands up towards his chin in the form of a partial praying stance, before he gingerly extends one palm face up, the palm of which was still bleeding a decent stream of blood. Enough blood to begin to form the needed pool that he required to create the blessing for these newly loyal acolytes. "May the Blessing of the Blood God ever be upon you, and may you by your own power, spread the teachings and beliefs of Serkan himself across the Shinobi Lands. Unifying and empowering all those who have strayed from the paths of peace." He says with a rather kind seeming smile, as he slowly strokes out the symbol of the Church of Blood onto the forehead of the first academy student that had stepped up in front of him. As soon as he was done, he would take a step to the side, and repeat the process while doing the same for the second academy student, before he would gingerly dismiss them to return to their prospective trainings to which he had so casually interrupted moments before. "Anyone else wishing to receive the Blessings, may come to me as they feel the need.. I will be here for a small while longer." He says, before he casually allows his arms to rest at his sides once again, and brings his attention upon the specter that was slowly making her way in his direction. With her sudden declarations of remembrance towards the God of Blood, especially with the mention of a well acknowledged chunk of time that would coincide with the Blood God's reign in this mortal plane, he also listened intently to the remainder of her words, including the taunting remarks to the other academy students to which he had stepped into the way of their training earlier, slowly shaking his head and dismissing the taunts she was giving. It was not an unknown thing for students to treat other students in such a way, after all, competition was a means of growing stronger as well.

He would slowly stroll forwards towards the spectral female as he observed her appearance with his pale gray hues, while casually drawing his bloody red stained hands across the quickly staining white cloth of his suited attire. "Well now.. It is by his bloodied grace, that I was able to come across a believer as devote as yourself, Young Lady.." He says, while extending a hand to feign the motions of taking the ghostly female by the shoulder and leading her away from the academy students that he had just been speaking to. "Take a walk with me, and I can answer your questions as we do so." He says, while continuing to kindly smile in her direction, even though such a smile did not appear to actually fully stretch up to his eyes. "The symbol used by the Church of Blood, located within the Village hidden in Blood, has been passed down for multiple generations by each and every Church Head, and Spiritual Head regardless of age nor reputation. That and the meaning behind the church has been as consistent as the blood that flows through even the most average of Shinobi's veins. Or as much so as the blood that had formally run through yours, as I do apologize for your loss upon death.." He says, while raising his non bleeding hand up over his forehead, tracing a circle in the air, and following it up immediately with the more normalized formation of a cross that, and then lowering his hand once again. "As such, the symbol has also been brought through with the worship of Serkan, the God of Blood. Both continuing to this very day as symbols of the need and belief towards Uniting the world, just as he had so many decades ago with the Village hidden in Blood, that I, as well as the Church, originate.." Haemon says before giving a casual pause in his speech, his gaze slowly looking over the ghostly female once again, before he would continue to answer her question. "With that little bit of explanation behind us, it should reveal the obvious reasons as to how I know both the symbol I had indeed drawn upon the doors of the Academy, and the knowledge of the Blood Good, Serkan.. Now, I extend the same questions onto you.. How do you know of our Symbol and the God of Blood? Although you appear to clearly have knowledge, you do not appear to possess any of the makings of a priest for the Church.. Which leads me to a saddening realization of suspicion that I must cast upon you, if only momentarily, now." Haemon says, while he had begun to lower his hand from casually gesturing towards the back door of the Academy, where the symbol of the Church of Blood still glistened in his own shed blood for any and all who walked through or towards those doors to see. He was not entirely concerned about her knowledge or standing within the Church, but curiosity had definitely gotten the better of him at this point in time.

A few steps into the main gate of this academy, her fiery red and orange hues accented by the blackness that surrounded them, would slowly creep over the rather disappointing establishment that was before her. Everything was of course very clean, and pristine, just as she expected it to be. Yet she had expected a higher presence of discipline in the over all structure of the place, she could already see just upon entering here that there were even academy students lounging about outside without a care in the world. "Heh.. Some learning environment.. The Forbidden Training Centers in Hidden Wind have more oomph to them than anything around here. What the ******** do they expect me to learn in this shithole?" She grumbles to herself, whipping the black coat in her hand up and over her shoulder before she began walking forwards towards the school's main building and whatever lazy excuse for a set up it surely held inside of it. She was not impressed in the least, having probably seen more control and discipline in a child's daycare than in a place that resembled anything like this. Taking a long inhale of breath, she frowned a bit at the obvious lack of gunpowder or anything resembling such that should be in the air, at least in a place that claimed to be about training one self for the outside world. Sighing, Sevan pushed the door open with a sharp connection of her booted foot, before she stepped into the hallway that lead into the building and whatever useless classes were being held within. Sevan strolled down the hallway briskly, only passing sidelong glances into the rooms that she was coming across as she passed them, up until she got to the point that there was on that was obviously filled with a small number of students that were mostly communicating between themselves. This would be a good of a place as any at least, to begin scouting for worthwhile troops. After all, if she came across anyone that could actually be a productive member of the military branch she was intending to make, it would at least keep this trip from being a complete failure. She would walk up to the classroom, stepping right into the open door of the room without pause at all, and slowly casting her fiery red and orange gaze across the inhabitants of the room as she did so. A small couple groups, a few isolated as well. Her eyes soon falling across the epitaph of chaos to which she was looking to have situated under her finger. A lone male who had the wild look that she enjoyed, visible behind messy hair and a rather heated expression as he took in whatever chaos had ensued not too long ago in the room. Whatever it had been, was certainly enough to get the male's fingers itchy for a fight, which was a well noted action as he stood just off to the side of the doors entrance that she was now standing in. She looked the male over only once, before slowly nodding to herself as a grin formed across her face. "Hey! You! The one smelling of smoke and gunpowder! Outside, let's go. This isn't a place for a type like you, lets go get your blood REALLY pumping!" She yells out immediately, the tone sounding more like the bark of a drill instructor, than a demand for something fun to do, her free hand adjusting from the pocket she had held it in, to behind her back, before removing a single six cylinder revolver from the holster that was at her waist. Spinning the weapon in her finger a single time as she rose it up to an extended arms length from her body and pointed it seemingly absentmindedly into the classroom, squeezing the trigger without a warning, as the loud bang of the revolver echoed throughout both the classroom, and the school itself. The bullet blasting right through the book held up by the loner looking guy who was clearly wishing to be anywhere but here, as it left a hole right through the page the male who she did not know went by the name Xzavior, was reading. The bullet itself thankfully lodging itself in the wall behind the male without actually dealing any damage to anyone in the room. Sevan spun the revolver a second time in her hand, and with a grin towards the male she had just yelled at, she tucked the weapon back into it's holster and turned with a flourish of her coat in order to exit the room. With luck the male she had spoke to would follow her out, and they'd be able to have either some fun, or simply a friendly conversation. She was not all about destruction or anything of the like, but she knew that she needed to at least entice the more chaotic fellows to follow her, or else she would not acquire the manpower that she required to fulfil her own goals within the world of the shinobi.
