I've been out walking with the kiddos this afternoon, we got a bit lost and ended up yomping 10k over the top of the valley and looping back to the car. I am completely knackered >.<

Day # 79Theme: Church Time spent: 2h ish   Comments: Eglwys Newydd - St Michael and All Angels Church - Hafod EstateSo, I stumbled upon this church one day more than 20 years ago whilst out exploring. It is quite literally in the armpit of nowhere, tucked into the head of a valley on the Ystwyth River that runs down to join the coast at Aberystwyth. The views are nothing short of spectacular. The church is part of the Hafod estate which; in the mid 90's when I first visited it, was mostly unloved and overgrown. Now it is a popular destination for walkers and tourists and has been adopted by a conservation group who are slowly re instating the original walks and vistas that were built there by Thomas Johnes in the 1790's and 90's. The church pre-dates this. It was built in 1620 but underwent several makeovers throughout it's history. There is nowhere that I feel more calm and peaceful than here. And my scratchings do not do it justice at all. I need to get out and draw properly again!

Day # 82 Theme: Prometheus / monochrome purple Time spent: 1.5h  Comments: Wasn't really taken with any of the themes today, decided on purple but couldnt decide what to draw so I goooooooogled and found THIS Prometheus Sculpture by Ognyan Hristov and it is beautiful so I drew it in purple. I like his one better.

Day # 83 Theme: Medium Challenge: Uncommon II (pastels, clay, crochet) FIMO! Time spent: 2h trying to fix my dried out clay, 1h sculpting, .5h baking  Comments:My fingers are wrecked, my clay was like sand whee I have ordered a pasta maker so I can fix it! It's been a long time since I Fimo-ed, I'm massively out of practice but now I know I can revive my dead collection of clay without having to replace it all I might do a bit more smile

Day # 84Theme: Accepted Art Request : AnnoyedPanda Time spent: 2h (ish)  Comments: My pen exploded right at the end crying I managed to fix the splodges that landed on bit's that I'd already coloured and extended the pattern of the top to hide the big blobs that I couldn't fix. SO frustrating when that happens.

Day # 87Theme: Medium Challenge: Crayon (watercolor crayons) Time spent: 1h ish  Comments: In a house with three kids you would think there would be a massive selection of crayons. WRONG! I found a box with half a dozen rainbow crayola twistables which were great fun for writing but impossible to colour with, about 40 ancient chunky crayolas which squeaked and snarled across the paper and a limited selection of 'gel wax crayons' So I tried the gel wax ones and omg it was like drawing with lipstick xd So, this evening you have some badly drawn fruit and a horrible phone picture because there is no way on gods green earth that I'm putting this stuff in my scanner; it's will stick and I'll probably never be able to scrape it off!

Day # 89 Theme: Rose Time spent: 1.5h  Comments: Had my second covid vaccine yesterday so I'm feeling crappy today. And I managed to stab myself in the right index finger with a drawing pin and it's swelled up like a balloon sad All that red has give me a headache.
