Josef

As soon as the Archangel appears, the Demonlord raises an eyebrow, feeling the radiance burn his skin.

This dude is strong, probably even on par with Josef himself. Josef scratches his chin, thinking that this might be a challenge so he has to take things seriously now. A small grin forms on his lips.

"Sooo They brought in the big guns then eh?"

Josef stands up and strides over to where the angels are congregating.

"Looks like you're a big shot, how many demons have you slain or purged? I am DYING to know..."

Thorival Reseria
As soon as the Archangel appears in the foyer, Thorival immediately drops down to kneel one knee out of respect and bows his head.

"Odstarva sir, it is an honor to be in your presence. May your wisdom guide us and may your strength give us the hope to overcome any obstacles...."

Demitrious Von Varibon Reseria
Demitriosu spits out his tea the direction he is facing at the arrival of Odstarva, completely and utterly taken off guard. As soon as Thorival kneels Demitrious regains his composure and just chuckles.

"So you are kneeling to the master, kiss a**."

Prism

Prisn was suddenly surprised at Kisa's seriousness, although she understood exactly why there was the sudden change, it was still very much different from her usual smiles or frowns.

She couldn't help but smile at her determination. That alone had changed the minds of many people, and she couldn't be prouder to be of service to her. She nodded lightly in agreement towards her statement.

The neko was quite startled by the sound of Odstarva's voice, whipping around to confirm she was hearing correctly. Upon seeing his form, she smiled brightly. An archangel was here as requested by Kisa. A little bit of hope came back to her in that moment. Now they had someone as strong as Odstarva here, there was no way Josef or any of the others demons would challenge him just to pick a fight, right?

Prism gave a nod of her head to Odstarva, smiling gratefully at him.

"T-Thank you for being here, Mister Odstarva."

Wynter

Wynter choked a little on her grape, suddenly going a bit pale at Odstarva's presence. They called in a FREAKING ARCHANGEL?!

Wynter couldn't tell if that was a good or bad thing. Josef would probably try less s**t around here, but at the same time, that also meant she would probably be able to do less crap with him around. She pinched the bridge of her nose at the protest her mind was giving to all the commotion and noise. She needed a nap. Like now.

"This bullshit is making this migraine sooo much worse..." Wynter mumbled to herself, chugging some water as she leaned back in her chair. The angels seemed pretty happy about the Odstarva dude though. She wasn't gonna lie, she was sure they'd need him.

Odstarva

Odstarva's eyes darted over to Josef, otherwise known as the problem-child.

"I suppose you could call it that, yes." He didn't think of himself that way, but he was very aware there was no point in correcting him. Sure. Big guns. Close enough.

"I suppose you'll just have to die waiting to know, then. I've slain so many I has lost track. I hope that at least gives you an idea." He didn't really care to remember, as he honestly didn't think of Demons' lives to be worth the weight of any other creature's soul. Demons, in his opinion, were in fact soul-less.

Before Thorival came along, he had personally found any fallen angel or demon to be completely un-redeemable, and purge worthy. Even being down here in Hell triggered him a little bit, as much as he hated to admit it. This place was filled with soulless pieces of garbage that deserved what they were getting. He wasn't really interested in sparing any soul down here. Thorival was an extremely rare circumstance. However, Thorival's existence had changed Odstarva's mind. Maybe a VERY RARE FEW were salvageable. But he stressed very, very, VERY rare few. They would be lucky to find a handful of souls out of the millions.

Honestly this entire project was probably pointless, only because of the fact that it was basic math. Even if they magically found the few handful of souls worth sparing, and curing them of their sick madness, and saving them from this place... what would it really matter in the long run? He didn't mean to seem so heartless, but if one did the math it was simple: say they worked hard and spared even as many as fifty souls, or even one hundred. MILLIONS had to be purged every single year to make room for new evil souls. So, by the math, this was a HUGE waste of the angels resources. This was costing a fortune, as well as tons and tons of angel's time, especially the ones actually down here running the place. And now his precious time.

This entire idea was ridiculous, if you asked him. But, Odstarva admired Kisa and Prism's ability to see the good in people, even damned people. He himself couldn't think that way, he envied their naivety sometimes. But his heart was as cold as steel, he felt NO mercy for these pitiful unfortunate souls.

Odstarva glanced to Thorival who was kneeling before him.

"Please, stand, Thorival, there is no need for that." Odstarva actually found Thorival to be well on his way to being promoted to an Archangel, in fact, but he didn't verbalize such a thing since it wasn't his choice. He could see Thorival's outward thoughts, and had studied what was going on in his head for quite a long time. At first Od had been VERY cautious, and had been so sure that the fallen angel was lying his a** off about wanting redemption. After listening to his head for some time, though, he found Thorival to be very similar to himself. They both believed in justice, and being lawful, and fighting for what was right. Sure, most angels would agree with that sentiment, but Odstarva and Thorival were the kind to take it even further, as a core ideal. They both agreed that it was so important that it super-ceded everything else in their lives. They put relationships and hobbies and a personal life on the back burner and focused on their ideals first and foremost. Not many angels could say that for themselves.

The Archangel flicked his cold eyes onto Demitrious as he taunted Thorival, and took a step closer to him. "I'm going to assume you are Demitrious Reseria, I've know of you. It's you whom should be 'kissing a**', you're lucky I don't kill you where you stand. I've heard of the atrocities you have helped your father carry out. I'm guessing you're here because of the rioting outside of these walls. This place is your only chance for survival." Odstarva didn't usually smirk, but he couldn't help himself since he found Demitrious and his father and his kind to be extra distasteful. "Therefore, I suggest you play by the rules here, including listening to your brother. I have full authority to kill anyone that poses a threat. And if we find you completely unredeemable, and not worth our resources anymore, all we would have to do is throw you back outside and the minions of Hell would take care of that for me. I wouldn't even have to get my hands dirty. So, please, show a little respect for our fellow Angel, Thorival."

And with that, he turned to Kisa and Prism.

"I apologize for the foreboding interruption. If I've looked at the schedule correctly, it's now time for the morning meeting, is it not? Would you ladies mind leading us?" Odstarva asked, wanting to keep on schedule. He was actually very curious to hear what these demons had to say, and confess their sins. Would they be honest, or would they lie? He would be able to tell who was taking this seriously and who was an utter waste of time.

"Aa! Y-Yes, of course, please, everyone, this way to the meeting!" Kisa said, a little flustered now that an angel of his caliber was here to monitor everything that was said or done here. She looked to Prism nervously, hoping this would go better than yesterday did, and then lead them to a classroom like area, but it had a huge table instead of desks, where they could all sit around each other while the angels took notes.

She sat down next to Prism, and gave her a notebook, and passed Odstarva and Thorival one too, with pens. They had to take notes in order to help narrow down each demon's program.

"Umn... s-so... first... Prism, could you give a summary of the first three guest's sins that they explained yesterday, please? And then after that, it's Demitrious' turn to confess. And just in case anyone needs a reminder, the purpose of this confession is to help better adjust each person's program to focus on their specific sins, that way it's not a one-size-fits-all program." Kisa motioned to Prism, hoping everyone would be quiet and listen to her summary.

Demitrious Von Varibon Reseria
After being told off by a freaking Archangel, the fallen prince remains silent. He thinks to himself 'Great, now I have to actually try my butt off.... I heard it was Kisa running the show I thought this was....wait... did he say?'

Demitrious then slowly turns his head to see Josef, and his face loses all color.

"Oh.... Dear Lord... Have Mercy Upon my soul...."

God, not him. NOT him. A 7th HELL DEMON!? That.... Not possible. How, what why!..... Demitrious stands his ground, considering the place hasn't been leveled to the ground yet. He blinks slowly then sits down in one of the chairs.

This place... is still better than outside. With luck, he can get out of here within a week.... and be home free to the heavens. Yeah. Just mind business, don't... get caught?

"Well.... if I am to start off, my sin is..... not having any sins?"

God I really wish I had my harem... Lust is my number 1 sin followed by pride probably. Maybe sloth? Nahhhh I don't lavish too much in the finer things.... Wait do I? I guess Envy is another one I am a huge culprit of. I always get what I want though.

Wynter

Wynter begrudgingly followed them to the room, noting how much it looked like a school classroom. She sat at one end of the table, crossing her arms and she slouched back into the new spot.

For once, she didn't have a sassy comment to make....

That was until Demitrious "admitted" his sins.

She felt laughter bubbling up her chest, and tried to force it back down, but of course she failed. She giggled quietly until she was holding her stomach as she let a bit more laughs out.

"You..." She snorted, calming herself before holding back her giggles at what he said about not having any sins whatsoever. "You? Not have any sins whatsoever? That's the biggest ******** joke I've heard all damn day! You aren't going to get anywhere by lying, which is a sin might I remind you."

Wynter was going to fully enjoy this, she'd get away with a bunch more remarks with this guy.

Sinless? Ha, let's test if he will succumb to the sin of wrath by the time I'm finished! The silver-eyed demon smirked, raising an eyebrow as she awaited an answer from the "King of The Fallen" or whatever the ******** his title was.

Prism

Prism nodded and stood from her chair, following after Kisa and the group to where the meeting would be held.

The neko took the notebook, flipping it open to the first blank page. She nervously clicked her pen a few times, and when Kisa asked for her to give a summary, she went pretty pale.

U-Uhhhhh Summary..? Oh god. They're all gonna stare at meeee! Wait, this is your job, pull it together Prism!

Prism nervously clicked her pen about ten more times, before looking up to every who was sitting down. Thankfully, Demitrious started talking before she was full on panicking

It was a sort of relief, until Wynter opened her big mouth after being silent for a little while, which should have been expected. She just had no filter.

"Um, Miss Wynter, we've already had quite a lot of arguments, so maybe we should-"

"Hang on a minute kid, I want to listen to Demitirous over here prove he's a sinless demon in hell."

Zuni

Zuni couldn't care less about this Odstarva guy, but gee did Josef sure seem giddy about it. He probably was just turned on by the fact he had some decent competition now. These other angels didn't stand a chance in Hell against him, but Odstarva might be able to.

She followed them to the classroom and kicked her feet up on the table, crossing her belted boots. Greaaaaat, this boring snoozefest again.

Until Demitrious opened his mouth. Not even Zuni could hold back laughing this time. She laughed almost as hard as the other demon girl.

"HA. YEAH. Let's see it, oh mighty Prince of the Fallen. Elaborate us!"

This was going to be more entertaining than she thought. What a joke!

Demitrious Von Varibon Reseria

......

"Well unlike others I tried to live a Pious, not very active life outside of the castle. I just enjoyed the luxury of politics and doing things outside of what Fallen angels did."

Not that Demitrious knew, since he just stayed at the top, enjoying fruits of other's labor. If one were to describe Demitrious, it would be vain, lustful, selfish and short of temper but sometimes the prince can hold his temper if it means that some kind of consequence would take place.

Since a demon is prodding at his side, trying to provoke him he grinds his teeth together and smiles.

"I at least live a higher class life than most other demons such as yourself, maybe they taught you humility?"

Wynter

"Buuuuull Shiiiiit."

Wynter replied, crossing her arms as she stared him down with those silver eyes of hers. She smirked a little, noticing the fact he was trying to hold it together and keep a level appearance. This meeting just got a whole lot more fun.

"You're just a spoiled a*****e with a helluva lot of pride. You can deny it all you want and try to fool these angels that you have no sins and are fully ready to be redeemed, but keep in mind you're also in a room of sinners. We tend to know what other sinners look like."

Wynter blew her hair out of her face at the last bit he said, glaring a little sharply at him now.

"I'll be humble when you are, without being a total kiss a** and a liar."

What a douche. If he wanted to be redeemed so badly, he would cut the bullshit and let go of his pride for one damn second.

Odstarva

Odstarva glared at Demitrious with a hard, cold, stone glare. He was VERY un-amused. He scratched a few things in his notebook, taking note of a few details he wanted to recall for later.

"Fine. If you're not going to take this seriously, you can promptly exit through the front door. That's exactly what I would make you do, anyway, but out of respect for my comrade's desires to help you unfortunate souls, I'll assist you with your confession." He said, standing up and pushing back his chair and speaking as if he was reading off a long list.

"Number One sin: Lust. You had a harem of women to take pleasure in, constantly. You treated them like second class citizens, like pets, like slaves. You spent most of your time having sex or similar pleasures; It's always on your mind. So you are, in fact, addicted to sex. It's beyond dysfunctional. Therefore it's your biggest sin."

Odstarva looked straight at him, not even faltering to 'read' off exactly what he was thinking to himself moments earlier.

"Second Sin: Pride. You're VERY full of yourself, you genuinely think you're better than and above everyone. You almost fancy yourself a God. It's almost to the caliber of your addiction to lust. However you swallow your pride only when it's in your best interest for survival."

He kept right on going, having no mercy.

"Greed. You're extremely greedy and take things you do not need, even at the extreme cost of others. You don't care if someone is starving on the street, you'll happily eat more than your fair share because your pride, again, makes you think you're worth more and therefore deserve more.

Sloth. You are lazy. You order everyone around and make them do everything for you. That's why you had plenty of slaves at your whim to command. You pretty much do not know how to do a single thing by yourself because you have spent your entire life making others do it for you.

Wrath. The second someone defies you in any way, or bests you, or insults you, you explode in a fit of rage like a small child. The only time you ever control your anger is, again, only when your survival depends on it.

Envy. You are extremely jealous of anyone who has more than you do, which is a very rare few. You envied your father for being King over you. Which is rather ridiculous, considering you had everything you could ever need, but there's always more to be had isn't there? How dare someone have more than you.

And last, and least, Gluttony. You, again, take more than you need and do not care what it costs others. You have always eaten the best and most expensive foods and beverages, even if it costs the someone's life. Examples of this include the very wines you love drinking, often of which actually is infused with real blood."

Odstarva set his notebook down, and then sat back down in his chair.

"Oh, my, it seems that was actually all seven sins now, wasn't it? Looks like you're not as perfect as you seem to think you are--your pride is getting in the way. I suggest we start with your smaller sins and work your way up, your top three are going to be a very long process."

He looked to Prism now, washing the cold stare off of his face and looking at her gently.

"Now, it's Miss Prism's turn to speak, I apologize for the rude interruption. Please continue with the sin summaries of the other demons." He picked his notebook and pen back up so he could write them down.

Demitrious Von Varibon Reseria

Completely and utterly shocked that both Wynter and Odstarva was able to call him out.

"What.... how... I don't.... My mind... What?""

His jaw almost his the floor as everyone in the room just looks at him and snickers. Demitrious then angrily crosses his arms and "Humphs" As he looks away from Odstarva.

"And how did you know all of that Mr. Archangel your highness? Intel on the competition? Maybe I could be a candidate for Archangelhood and take over YOUR job."

Thorival Reseria

A small smile forms on Thorival's lips as he watches his hated brother get served.

"As expected master Odstarva, you really know your stuff. I am proud to have you on my side and be a mediator for this rehabilitation program."

Thorival then gets a huge welling of feelings in his chest as pride manifests in being holy. This is the pinnacle. This is what it means to be just. Putting evil in it's place while holding the status quo that is law and order.

His gaze falls upon Prism as she begins epeaking.

Josef

His eyes narrow. So this guy can tell the sins of who he looks at? Does he see an aura above our heads dictating what we are? Intriguing. I am going to have fun with this one.

Josef gazes upon the Archangel, his full attention on him. It looks as though Josef, outside his madness actually looks genuinely happy. A Challenge is something that he has yearned for a long time and this is going to test his limits for sure.

While the Demon lord listens to Prism, his gaze never leaves Odstarva. After a while his mind goes to how much he loves zuni, and heart pupils appear in his irises.

Within his thoughts, he thinks about how much he wants to love Zuni, how much he wants to have her do chores and be at his side while he he goes to the heavens. His thoughts then begin to drift towards madness, bodies, blood, viscera, screams of demons as they have their souls snuffed.

Prism

Prism watched all of this bickering with a frown, sinking further into her chair with her ears pressed tightly against her head. She hated constantly being around this type of talk... But she tried to bear with it and let them figure things out.

Her attention turned to Odstarva as he started listing Demitrious's sins, and she was QUITE horrified by the first one.

That's... That's horrid, a-and disgusting... how could someone do that to another person..? The girl thought, simply unable to hide her disgust at that. She shook her head slightly, trying to clear up both her thoughts and face from being so rude.

After he had finished, it took her a minute to gather herself before she could start listing the sins of the two demons that had confessed so far.

"Thank you for... um... clearing things up Mister Odstarva." She replied quietly, clicking her pen a dozen more times before speaking again.

"Miss Zuni has not confessed her sins quite yet, but Mister Josef and Miss Wynter have. I-I'll start with Miss Wynter."

Prism took a breath, glancing at Wynter a she started to list off her sins she had confessed the day before.

"Miss Wynter has committed four of the seven sins. Wrath, because she has q-quite the temper as shown, and she also admitted to ending one human life while she was living. Sloth, because she doesn't do much for anyone else or herself. Envy, because she claims to envy those with easy or privileged lives, as well as easy or privileged deaths. A-And last, Gluttony is her biggest sin, because she has a major alcohol addiction."

She finished with Wynter's sins, taking a very shaky breath as she addressed Josef's sins, which she hadn't been looking forward to.

"Mister Josef has committed all seven sins in major ways. I-I'll let him go into detail later if he wishes."

Prism didn't want to even go into his sins beyond that, so she would leave it to either Kisa telling him or asking the demon himself.

"Um.. That's all I have." She said quietly, shifting in her chair quite nervously. Public speaking always freaked her out no matter what she did.

Wynter

Wynter finally shut up, leaning back in her chair with her eyes closed while she listened to Prism go over her sins. Yeah, that pretty much summed up the reason she was here. Everything was pretty fixable except for the one person she killed, and quite frankly, she didn't even feel sorry for it. She hoped that person would burn in hell forever, so imagine her surprise when she found hell was just some free range shitshow?

Wynter was very pissed to say it lightly.

Odstarva

Odstarva couldn't help smirking a little at Demitrious. He was so completely transparent, and he had absolutely ZERO clue that Od could literally read his thoughts like a book. He enjoyed easy targets like this so called prince, they boasted their thoughts so loudly to themselves that he could figure them out in about two seconds. They made for very easy prey, which meant perfect results quickly and efficiently.

With more difficult targets, however, the readings were much quieter, and often in chunks. He couldn't get as clear of a read on someone who either knew his ability and purposefully thought of incorrect information, or guarded themselves and stayed silent inside of their own head. Both were very hard to pull off, though. And if someone did one of those two things, it made it extremely obvious to him that they were being dishonest in their own head in order to trick him. So while his ability seemed overpowered at times, it had a lot of flaws to exploit. His power could easily be turned around on him and used as a weapon. He didn't discuss his ability with anyone, though, so it was extremely rare to run into a person who could figure it out and then care enough about tricking him to jumble their thoughts. All of the people in Heaven didn't bother ******** with him, despite some knowing of his mind reading. After all, unless you had something to hide, what was the point? Good people didn't have a reason to fake their thoughts to hide something from him.

Odstarva completely ignored Demitrious, and chuckled at Thorival. Seems he's taking pleasure out of his brother being schooled. Not that I can blame him, of course. Just as long as it didn't go to his head. He too could also take pleasure in one-upping sinners like Demitrious. It was a small form of justice, these demons needed to get knocked down a peg and learn some humility if they want to be redeemed. Especially this power tripped little brat.

He didn't look at Josef, but he was quickly getting annoyed. Odstarva could instantly tell Josef had guessed it was some kind of mind-magic, and had something to do with thoughts or something mental. It was very apparent the Archdemon was testing this theory and intentionally making his thoughts go crazy. He was obsessively thinking about the green-haired demoness to the point of practically SCREAMING in his head about her. And then he jumped to death, bodies hitting the floor, blood spraying everywhere, and soul devouring nonsense.

It seemed the obnoxious Archdemon has already figured it out, not that Od expected any less of a being who was just as powerful as himself. Either Josef had made a good guess, or he was just SO bat-s**t crazy that he couldn't help himself screaming in his head about random extremes. It could even be a mix of both....

Od intentionally refused to make eye-contact, full well knowing Josef was staring at him the entire time. Instead he focused on what Prism had to say, as if he hadn't noticed what was going on in Josef's head. And quite frankly, he didn't want to, because it was only going to give him a headache. So he blocked it out and listened to Prism, writing a few things about Wynter down in his notes.

"Thank you, we appreciate it." He spoke to the neko, and then looked to Wynter. "We will need to discuss your life-taking in more detail, but that can be done privately, unless you want to share with the class." And then he glanced at Josef.

"Would you mind repeating what you told the group yesterday about which sins you've committed?" He looked over to Zuni now. "And you, if you want to be in the program, you're going to have to confess. We can't make a program if we don't know what you need to work on."

Zuni had been very entertained, but remained silent, just smirking a bit as Demitrious got shat on and knocked off his high horse. Damn, that was fun to witness.

As soon as Od looked at her an told her to confess, she just shrugged. She supposed that she had to say something, considering that she did want to try and go to Heaven in order to ditch Josef....

She sighed, she REALLY hated explaining why she was down here. Normally she just lied her a** off and claimed she murdered a bunch of innocent people, just so other demons wouldn't ******** with her.

"I'm not going to claim I'm sinless, per-say... But apparently I've been damned to Hell because of a few counts of manslaughter, in self defense. I honestly didn't mean to kill them. So I guess my sins include wrath, because I'm <******** pissed I got thrown down in this dumpster pit, and given my own personal living hell." IE: Being a personal slave to Josef, or anyone for that matter. "And then I've done my fair share of drinking or smoking, so gluttony I guess."

Zuni shrugged again, not sure what much else she could say because in all seriousness, she knew she didn't deserve to get sent to Heaven, but surely she didn't deserve this hellhole either. She had done a lot of good in her life, on Earth, and she had never intentionally hurt anyone. But she had hurt people in self defense. So... for lack of a better word, she was sure she had deserved purgatory, the neutral plane. But instead she was sent to Hell. It was bullshit.

Odstarva wanted to test something to make her either be vocal, or think to herself what he really wanted to know: was that story actually true? How could she possibly be a true neutral and end up down here? Usually neutrals went to Heaven and they were taught to be good up there. They never got sent down to Hell. So she was most likely lying, and he wanted to know.

"Do you really expect us to believe that? I am an Archangel, I've worked with the Reaper many times and I have never heard of such a case ever before."

"I don't need to ******** explain myself to you. That's all I have. I could make up more sins if you want. I'm not greedy, hell I barely had enough to survive on. I'm not lustful, or lazy, nor do I envy anyone, except maybe I envy people that have life so easy... I have literally no pride, I'm not proud of a single damn thing I've had to do in my life on Earth, or here. So you can ******** right off, I don't have to prove anything to you. I told you the truth for this program like you asked so you can "customize my program", or whatever. Take it, or leave it."

He waited, and his face slowly got more serious as he stared at her. He could see her thoughts coming forward, angry that yet another person didn't believe her. Her outward thoughts showed so much pain and agony... and suffering... This girl's life had been complete and utter HELL on Earth. He couldn't make out specific details, but he could see tons of rape and physical and mental abuse. She had been treated like an animal. And then she scowled at him, tightening her fists in her lap, in more anger that he didn't believe her. She remembered exactly what happened for each manslaughter, and she imagined one in particular outwardly in her head where she was brutally attacked and savagely beaten, and if she had not stabbed the guy she would have surely died. So unfortunately, he bled out and died instead.

His trick had worked. It wasn't the answer he was expecting at all, so he was very glad he tested her. It seemed maybe there was more to it than that, maybe she was sent down here unjustly, but he highly doubted it. But after the horrors he had projected into his head, he decided to leave this one alone for now.

Odstarva wrote down a few notes.

"Alright, fine, we will accept your confession for now. We will need to work with you more to dig a bit deeper into your sins another time."

His eyes flicked to Josef.

"Now, please repeat your confession as well."

Josef

Josef's gaze has been on Odstarva's the whole time, a small smirk at the corner of his mouth has formed once his name was spoken out loud. It's always exhilarating having your name, your words that ties yourself to existence spoken out loud by someone power, by someone who matched your power.

With a shift in his seat, he brings his arm around the chair and kind of slouches as his small smirk turns into a grin.

"Oh? You want me to speak them out loud? I guess I should speak it aloud."

He taps his finger to his chin as he recalls most of his sins, his eyes to the ceiling while he thinks. Then, in an instant a thought crosses his mind.

"I guess.... my sin...."

A huge, huge, HUGE smirk grows.

"Is believing in the world that allowed such a creature as me exist and grow to such strength such as mine."

All the sins that Josef has committed? Shows of power. All of them. Shows of the justice that the demon has to claim himself whilst the world, hell even all of existence just watches. Other creatures, even angels always trying to push each other down while the other scrambles for the holy apple. The pinnacle of the rest, the top of the top. There is ALWAYS that ideal being attempted to achieve.

The world has wrong Josef, and Josef has wronged the world, it's only fair. Did the Angels even attempt to help anyone in life? No. None. Has the heavens sought to preach goodness through other means than mortals using their words to further their own goals? No.

"My sins..... have been made by me alone yes. However, I have to ask. Should I rehabilitate myself, what stops me from committing those sins again? What stops others from committing those sins? Promise of a better paradise? So in a way... Aren't you kind of subjugating others by forcing them to use VIRTUE as a way to commit a sin of seeking a better standing in existence? For example take us in Hell. We are ENVIOUS of the Angels up in the heavens, their utopia of goodness and light and virtue while THEY JUDGE the demons down in Hell. Isn't that... hmmm"

Josef then taps his chin to emphasis a point.

"The sin of pride? Then imagine the Angels that look upon us demons for our freedom of letting loose, to just throw away all constraints. They are envious of our freedom so they shove their ideaology upon us and once we grew too large in number, you all got.... WRATHFUL at the fact our.... existence was growing too large? Who said Hell is limited in size? WHO?! I mean I am the Demon Lord of the 7TH hell. SEVENTH! Doesn't that mean locations and planes were given a desgnation by someone, or something who INTENDED on making this place a stable for the cattle that are less desirable compared to those who 'practice' virtue? I say that's one sided and kinda Prideful to boast virtue enough to MAKE a stable."

The demon shifts once again shifts in his seat, scanning the room with his eyes while he continues his lecture.

"So in essence, due to our nature, in how we are FORCED to be in here because we refused to practice virtue, the same beings practice sin, and cruelty so this entire environment is a cess pool of sin, so it becomes normalized and those who practice MORE sin are more power so it becomes a power struggle for who can commit the most sin and a competition. That means by design, we NEED to commit sin. Now that we have grown, it is too dangerous to keep going and allow us to grow? Bring in Death and have him not only reap the souls to be sorted, but REAP THE REAPED OUT OF EXISTENCE?! For the SOLE reason that we HAVE to practice sin so we wont be SNUFFED out and then get told we will be SNUFFED out for trying to survive?"

Josef then stops and lowers his eyes upon Odstarva's.

"My sins are as stated on that little notebook you are writing down and judging me fore. I bet you are judging me right now for acting as the Demon Lord I am used to being and thinking I can never be redeemed. Judging before any sort of action to correct is establish, or even attempted. I say that is hasty and kind of prejudice. Which is inherently by NATURE pride."

If only the Angels understood that their judge jury and executioner mentality is actually what caused Demons to be birthed AND caused Angels to rebel and be kicked out of the Heavens for having a differing opinion. Pride and Envy to a T Right there.

Odstarva

Odstarva looked right at him, staring him down as he went on his little rant.

When he finally stopped talk, he raised an eyebrow. Oh? Was he finished, finally?

"I'm quite frankly above this petty attempt at an argument over how and why Heaven and Hell are a concept. I will not argue the entire beginning of existence was so black and white. I, too, have a conflict over the way it was created, both sides were albeit hypocritical to say the least.

I, however, still have the belief that even though it started off wrong, it has nearly perfected itself over time up to this point. Both Heaven and Hell exist for good reason. While you can argue that the difference between good and evil is a very thin line, it does not change the fact that some actions are still evil, and therefore MUST be punished for the sake of justice. A lot of actions are easily labeled by good. Some actions are completely and utterly evil. And then there's the slippery slope: the grey area. I don't waste any time condemning grey-area souls. And some so called pure souls that go to Heaven are never perfect, either. But there's one thing I KNOW about truly evil souls: they will continue to lead a trail of destruction behind them where-ever they go. Until such a time they learn to behave, they can stay down here and bloody rot for all I care."

Odstarva pushed his glasses further up his nose, still looking the archdevil right in the eye, without a lick of fear, as if he was challenging Josef through just a look.

"My mission has always been to execute justice on truly evil people. My brothers and sisters in Heaven might not always know for sure what someone's intentions are, so I can agree that sometimes people are punished unfairly. Or not-punished unfairly.

But I know what's deep down in someone's soul. I know the truth. So I know I can intact true justice on each and every single soul. I know the white lines. I know the black lines. I even know all the grey lines.

So all I can say to you is this: Let's not focus on the grey lines of the past. Let's focus on right here, right now. And right now, we're here with a dilemma: You are here in a rehab, for the chance at redeeming your sins for the right to go to Heaven. We won't argue whether it's fair, or not. Even if it's unfair, this is all of you demons only choice. You have the control here in terms of whether you get to go, or not. You can change and meet the grey line, to get out of Hell. Or you can sit and whine about how unfair it is and why you shouldn't have to do it. I do not make the rules, I didn't decide your souls went down here. All me and my comrades can do is try to help assist you into correcting your behaviors just enough to make you pass."

He was looking to all of the rehab 'patients' at this point, looking firm, but calm.

"And I will say this as well: I cannot claim the system isn't a little flawed in terms of sorting your souls. Maybe you weren't really a bad person on Earth. Maybe you were sent down here by mistake." He shrugged SERIOUSLY doubting that but they will think what they will, soooo.... "But if that's what you believe, then guess what? Right now is your chance to prove the system wrong and fix it. Prove it to us with this program. Like Thorival, for example. He fought the system and he proved himself to be a true soul that belongs in Heaven, regardless of his bloodline."

Od looked to Josef.

"I can't imagine you're here to take this program seriously, therefore you're just an annoyance. We will allow you to stay here for a while and play your little game, within reason. But if you do not play nice, you will be promptly removed from this hotel. We have actual redeemable souls to focus on.

Therefore I will just assume you have copious amounts of all seven sins, and we shouldn't bother even trying to customize your program since you're just here for entertainment's sake. So I suppose we don't need a break down of your sins, or a confession.

That being said," He looked to Kisa, "You may continue with the next step, Miss Kisa."

Kisa jumped a tiny bit, not expecting to get called on to talk finally. She sat up a little straighter, and nodded once. "W-Well... Umn..." She paused, feeling a bit nervous. "The next step is to move on to breaking up into different classrooms based off the specific sin that person needs to work on. But because we're such a small group we don't have large enough groups for that. S-So I was thinking we could just start off by discussing each sin down the list. Then we make a goal for the day, for each person. They'll be small baby steps! And each day we will just continue to work that goal a little bit more until we hit a break-through step."

For the next couple of hours, Kisa explained a breakdown of how the program worked and all of the small goals versus the larger steps. Basically the idea was to map out each and every step, and then work through each day inching closer to that smaller goal, until the over all large goal was met.

For example, for someone who was addicted to drugs, the first goal would be to take the drugs away slowly over time to help wean off. And then after a while they would be put on medications to help with withdrawal. And then eventually after taking less and less drugs, they would eventually have their last day and get off the drug as a large goal. Then the next large goal would be to work on problem solving and soul searching to figure out how to control the urges for drugs, and stay away from them. That large goal consists of more baby steps, just like the first major goal.

"O-Okay, that's all we have for today. We'll be starting with actually learning about sins in the morning tomorrow at the same time. Please enjoy the rest of your day, and let us know if you need anything!"

Holy s**t that was like a four hour lecture..... That Kisa girl was starting to annoy her. Did she always have to sound so sweet and peppy...? It was irritating listening her go on and on so excitedly about the program's inner workings. Who the ******** cared? All this baby-step bullshit talk gave her a headache... so Zuni walked off to the dining hall to find something to eat.
