QueenOfMallets Sora smiled at Riku and was glad he put on his true happy face. Sora loved him when he was really truely happy. "Now...we watch for the fireworks." The fireworks began, they sparkled the sky like exploding diamonds. Sora gazed lovingly at them and held up the papou fruit. He held it between him and Riku with a glance. Sora blushed, "Hey Riku...this is a Papou festival and um...well...do you want to share one?" Meanwhile Kairi was stomping off trying to find Sora, she was grumbling in every step she took. She heard a bang and saw that the fireworks already started without her, "Damn it!" Kairi saw Aerith along the shoreline and walked up to her, "Aerith? Are you looking for Cloud? Because he's down by the festival, um...have you seen Sora?" Riku looked at the fireworks then at Sora. "I'd love to share a paopu with you." Riku smiled and took Sora's freehand in his own. "How about we take a bite then feed them to each other by mouth?" Riku was laughing after his suggestion. Man he was being odd today. Must be the festival. It does do things to you after all. He laid back and waited for Sora's reply. Aerith noticed Kairi ad waved. "Hello Kairi. How are you?" She looked dazed for a moment then returned to Kairi. "No,no..I wasn't trying to find Cloud..because even if I did find him, he wouldn't want to talk to me..." A sad look upon her face spread as she looked at the ground. Cloud had been ignoring her alot lately and it bothered her.

Cloud, meanwhile, was having a small aniexty attack. For the life of him, he couldn't figure out why on earth he had done something so... so... so stupid! And for the love of god, why wouldn't he stop blushing??? And then, a shocking realisation came up and smacked him in the face.
He was... crying.
He looked down in a nearby pond, the mako in his eyes giving off a soft enough glow to let him see the tear tracks on his face. He stared. He couldn't remember the last time he had cried... and... why now...?
Gods, I'm so confused...
He jerked up as he heard someone moving through the underbrush behind him - probably about 17 feet away or so.
... It's Leon.
For the first time in a long, long while, he was actually glad that Hojo had ******** him up so badly - if he hadn't, he never would have heard the brown-haired man. His eyes darting around him, he saw a tall tree nearby and climbed up it as if a hoard of monsters where on his heels. Then he edged behind the branches and slitted his eyes. It wouldn't do to have him see a pair of blue glowing things in a tree, after all.
Great. And now I'm running away. Fantastic. Fine - as long as he doesn't find out it was me, I can go and pretend this never happened...

Sora blushed and snickered, "Sure, after all it's suppose to be romantic right?" Sora then took off a piece of the papou fruit and put up to Riku's mouth. Sora noticed the Papou juice was sticky and wet as he let the piece past into Riku's lips. "Now feed me one!" Sora opened his mouth with an "ahhh!" like he was asked to stick out his tounge.
Kairi made sad face, "Oh no, you too? Sora's been in a weird mood lately too! What do you think it could mean?...Come on let's go find Cloud and go ask him what the heck's going on!" Kairi wasn't sure though, after all, she didn't know weither her and Cloud were really together or not. It really troubled her not knowing who was in love with who, but she waited to see if Aerith truly wanted to see Cloud or not.

Leon stopped just inchs from the lake and began searching fruitlessly for his friend. He could have sworn he saw cloud stop here before dissapering."Damnit Cloud I know your here come out now!" he yelled ready to rip his hair out. He could feel his frustration building up and knew his sanity of wearing thin. He feel to the ground and held back a scream as he punch the ground hoping to vent. "Cloud." He said just above a whisper.

He winced as he watched Leon's frustration, feeling like the lowest slime on earth. But he wouldn't come out - no, never, because then Leon would know for sure... and then he would hate him.
Cloud knew Leon had a painful past - that he had issues with relationships, and what made it worse was that he was a guy and he was pretty damn sure that Leon was straight... God, if this isn't some ******** up karma...

"Why an I acting like this?' Leon thought, breath heavely. 'I don't love him do I?' He knew he was attracted to the blonde swordsman but still it couldn't be. Sure everytime he was around CLoud everything seemed right with the world and when he smiled
leon could feel his heart flutter along with the feeling of ten thousand butterflies throwing a party in his stomach or- "s**t." He said aloud, 'I'm in love with Cloud.'

Cloud felt like he had been physcially hit. Leon was really upset... and it was all his damn fault. Geeze, all he ever did was bring pain...
Wow, I'm just one big bucket of angst, aren't I?
He thought to himself sarcastically... but as he did so, he made the mistake of shifting... and then there was a large cracking noise.

Leon stood up and spun around faster than he thought he could. His fists were clenched and his eyes in slits. He was ready for whatever had made the sound. "Whos there. Show yourself!" He growled out almost angerly.

Please don't break....
Prehaps the gods decided to actually give the poor blond a break for once (no pun intended), because the brank stayed intact. However... now Leon knew for sure that there was someone nearby. At least probably... But then Cloud saw something. In the bushes, far back behind Leon, something was sneaking up on him... a basalik. His eyes widened - there was no way Leon would be able to react in time... - by the time he knew he was being stalked, it would be too late...
WHAT THE HELL IS ONE OF THOSE DOING OUT HERE!?!?!?!
He mind stopped working as he saw it lunge.
But his body didn't.
He slammed into in right as it was inches away from ripping off Leon's head, tearing at it furiously with the golden metal claws on his left hand.
"GET AWAY FROM HIM!!!"

Leon's head snapped around, his eyes wide with shock. "Wha-?" He said as he watched Cloud tear into the basalik. He shoot it off quickly and had his gunblade in hand in a blink of an eye. "Cloud move NOW!" he yelled as he aimed the blade, ready to shoot.

Cloud leaped backwards, crouched into a defensive stance. Just because he didn't have his sword didn't mean he couldn't fight, but he knew Leon was probably about to attack, and he really didn't like the idea of getting his head chopped - or blown - off.

Leon steped forward and stabbed his gunblade into the basalik and pulled the trigger, sending a fire charged bullet into the monster and watched as bits and peices of what was left rain from the sky.

Zidane sized the other blond boy up again. The resemblence was striking, even though he himself didn't know Sora very well...
"Are you... related to someone named Sora, by any chance?""Sora...?" As soon as it was said, he got a rush of mental images... Sora... He had been traveling all around the galaxy in search of the one called Sora... But why? His head snapped back tto the boy with the tail."Umm, I'm sorry, I don't think I've heard of Sora..." But as if on impulse, his body doubled over a bit and he asked in a monotone..."But can you take me to this one called ora?"
