This is probably going to sound retarded, but...
Why don't we just send a letter to Utada and ask her herself?
I know, I know... stupid. But it's worth a shot, right? If we make it petition-style, she can't just ignore it like any old fan mail... maybe...

I'm a tad slow on the uptake, but I can see where you're coming from. Maybe Riku's the "true emotion" that Sora needs to feel.

There are some programs you can download that'll play the song backwards for you. I used one called WavePad. :3

Torrina Shirogane You know, I can't help but wonder if Passion is another big Riku/Sora hint...XD We all know about the fact that there's a backwards line in Passion, right? 'I need more affection than you know'? Well, I was listening to the opening version, and I noticed that there was another jumbled line right around the spot where Utada sings, "My heart's a battleground". So, curiosity getting the better of me, I opened up a shareware program and played it backwards, paying close attention to that particular spot. Now, at first I didn't really hear anything, but when I sent it to my friend, he said that he heard something along the lines of "I need true emotions". Now, given the fact that Utada is (most likely) singing from Sora's point-of-view (considering he's the main character XD), what do those two lines suggest? I took it to mean that Sora is unhappy with the feelings Kairi holds for him (because they seem fake), and considering the trauma he's been through as the Keyblade master, he needs someone who understands him, and is willing to comfort him. That seems to point to a relationship with Riku, rather than Kairi. But, of course, I have a tendency to be somewhat biased, so I thought I'd throw the question out to you guys. So, what do you think? Does my theory have sustenence, or have I completely lost my marbles? @Kendragon: Well, according to Nomura, Sanctuary and Passion represent Riku and Sora's reunion, and he supposedly gave Utada a long explanation of the storyline before she started writing the songs, so who knows?
