“Ooh. A sundae bar! Can we have bananas? A banana split bar?” Noah asked, hopefully. “Let’s do it. The kids will love it, and no one will feel left out.” No one was too old for ice-cream! He paused in thought before he looked to her.
“When do we find out what the baby is?” He asked.

"Of course, love, I wouldn't deny you bananas. I know how much you love them, so they can definitely be in the ice cream bar. Alright, sounds good, that is the plans then. As for when we know what the baby is, that will still be a bit away,"she replied.

Noah beamed at the promise of bananas. Oh? It’d be a while then... That left time to guess! “I bet it’s a girl,” he said. He’d always wanted a daughter, someone to spoil and look after. Lucy and Kimi were both too old for that sort of thing—Hell, Kimi had a hand in saving him. Lightning was too old, too...
“A boy would be great too,” he added quickly. A son to teach about Pokémon and encourage! Someone to hang out with in the garage and teach to play catch!

"Hmm, it very well could be a little girl. Though, just as possible to be a little boy. I mean the twins are one of each, so chances are equal for gender, I think. Is there a gender you would prefer?"she asked.

Well... Was there? Noah considered the question and smiled slightly. No, he could just as easily spoil the twins--they were young enough to spoil without having awkward conversations with teenagers. "No," he said. "I'll be happy with either. What about you?" he asked. "Do you want a rough and tumble boy?" They could just as easily have a rough and tumble girl, he knew.
"As long as they're a healthy, happy baby, I know we'll be happy."

"Honestly, since the twins are one of each, I really do not have a preference. I would be happy with either, as long as they are healthy, like you said. And even if they are not, we will take good care of them,"she smiled.

Even if they weren’t healthy... Yes. Noah nodded. “They have a Doctor for a big brother, it’ll be fine,” he said, offering a smile. “Let’s get ready to tell everyone.” He didn’t want to keep the secret very long, he was too excited!

"Yes, they do, it helps to have a doctor in the family. After all, he has done quite well watching over me. And my, you are in a hurry to tell everyone, huh? Well, we can go do that, of course. Don't worry, we can deal with names soon enough,"she assured.

“I haven’t been this excited about something in years,” Noah admitted. “I want to share this feeling with the rest of our family.” Something to look forward to. Something that was a part of him and his wife combined. He didn’t think he could contain the excitement he felt. “Paian’s a great help,” he said. After all, if Paian and Kimi hadn’t found him... and if Paian hadn’t cared for him...
“We shouldn’t wait too long. It’s the most important decision of our baby’s life.”

"Paian is a great help, I can't argue with that at all. Ever since I was little, I had him to lean on. As soon as we know the gender, we can start planning for his or her name. As for telling the others, you need to help me up,"she smiled.

He wanted to know now. It seemed so far away, when they’d be able to find out. He leaned over to kiss her cheek. “I’ll try to be patient,” he said. He offered her his hand to help her up.
“Let’s go,” he said.

Dea took his hand and got to her feet, it would be even harder when she was more pronounced with her pregnancy. For now, she would be able to move around without too much trouble. Just having to be sick in the toilet had taken some energy.
"Thank you, love,"she smiled. She followed him to where she knew the others would be gathering.

Noah knew it would be hard for her. He was worried about that, too, but he didn't want to upset her. He hoped this baby was an easy one, one she wouldn't be so very sick with. He'd have to find foods that were soothing to the stomach--and good for the baby.
Something with protein--chicken noodle was always a hit!

Dea could see the worry on his face, along with pick up on it from his emotions. She reached over to kiss his cheek, to let him know everything was going to be fine.
"Honey, stop worrying your head. I know this is your first baby, but it isn't my first time. I can handle it and we have lots of help,"she reminded him gently.

"I can't help worrying," Noah protested. But his expression uncrinkled some as he studied her. He nodded. "I guess having a baby is a panic inducing event," he muttered. Was it some ridiculous instinct causing this worry? "We do. I'll get Paian to take a look at you." It was a blessing to have a doctor in the family.
"I'll try not to worry so much."
