Obscura was so very relieved when nothing bad happened with the new bottle. A health potion could come in very handy, though she doubted it would help with her current condition. Thankfully Tib was there to swat it her way, she didn't want to be puttering around half-blind looking for the thing. Tibs was able to secure another useful bottle, seems like their luck wasn't really all that bad.
It was time to get out of here though, she very much agreed with Tiberius on that point. They were close enough to the trial battles now that she could pretty much, roughly, guess what might be on the other side.
"L-let's....go..." Obie was hoping by some miracle that leaving this place would help cure her of her tears. But just before she could reach the new bottle of doom, that creepy voice rang through the room again. Did it just get darker in here? It was incredibly hard to see, but at least she felt like she could see better a moment ago. She looked up to see something in the air above them and was very aware when it suddenly started falling toward them, displacing the air around them.
That was a definite cue to run the heck away. "Hurry Tibs!" She found the energy to shout between her crying and raced away. She might be small, but she could run when she needed to. Or maybe she had a little bit of help along the way.
Obscura's Inventory Health Potion - Restores 10 HP
Jason sort of felt bat for the mauvian, but had no way of knowing what would get him to stop. The Senshi had at least tried to warn him, which was something Jason could have done as well, but...Eh. It was good to see someone having a good time despite everything going on. Even it it was caused by some crazy magic.
When Lacerta introduced herself, Jason was quick to shake her hand. Though, when she asked how her knew Acubens he looked a little worried. He was trying to figure out how to explain their connection without giving away his own identity. "I'm Jason, It's nice to meet you. I'm a journalist and Acubens has been nice enough to talk to me on several occasions." It wasn't a total lie. He is a journalist and he does talk to Acubens quite often. "I would consider us friends at this point." He was trying to not be so awkward about it. It would be weird if a basic civilian was super close to a Dark Mirror Senshi, right? Hopefully she wouldn't think too much of it.
Speaking of Acubens, why wasn't she here with them? She must have gotten a little turned around during the ride. Thankfully he was tall enough to try to scan around for her and he thought he saw the mess of her curls out there. Before he could call out to her though, poof. She vanished. He hadn't seen what had happened though, but he definitely looked concerned.
The Lacerta opened yet another bottle. A voice rang out and he stared at the girl in disbelief. "What did you do?" Jason jumped back when a very large ship sprung out of the bottle the red-head was holding. That definitely wasn't good, that wasn't good at all. Lacerta was quick to bolt out of the way, Jason was maybe a bit stunned at first. Eventualy though, he followed after her. He hoped that wherever Acubens had ended up, she was stay far enough away from this new danger.
Acubens caught sight of Lacerta just in time for her to see the other redhead opening a bottle and peering inside. Acubens' heart instantly hit the floor as she waited, envisioning the younger senshi dying the same way she did and turned instantly towards the gate through which she had emerged, waiting for her return.
Except for that instead of silence like she expected, Acubens heard -- and felt -- a trembling in the ground that grew steadily to a roar. She groaned audibly and turned around, just in time to see the giant ship heading right for her. Fabulous. Acting fast to avoid yet another grave, and avoided the advancing sea craft that Lacerta had unleashed.
Speaking of which...
Acubens scrambled to her feet and made a beeline for the senshi she'd finally found. One down, one to go, she supposed. Whatever relief she felts at seeing her, however, was mingled with irritation at her brush with a second death, and once she was close enough, she snatched the bottle from Lacerta's hands, smashed it against the ground, brought her face close to Lacerta's and growled, "Stop. Opening. Bottles."
She held Lacerta's gaze for a moment to show that she was dead ******** serious about her statement and then pulled away to find Jason. Lucky for her, Lacerta and Jason had found each other, which meant less work for her. Acubens grabbed his arm as well, exclaiming, "well, I hope you all had your fun, but I've had just aboug ******** of all this. I think it's time to chose a bottle, break the seals, and go home, what do you two say?"
Moira, still scrambling to find her companion in the chaos surrounding her, stopped when she heard a tremendous roar to her side. At first, Moira wasn't sure what she was seeing. Was that... ? No, even for her new-found magical life, this was too unreal. Then again... they had been sucked into another dimension with magical bottles that seemed to do bizarre things... like unleash giant ******** ships thatwasheadingrightforHER!
Moira froze for an instant, still unsure what she was seeing even if she was in imminent danger. And that instant was a fraction of a second too long, for even as she turned to leave, Moira found herself crushed beneath the bow of the monstrous craft.
And instant of pain.
And then.
Nothing.

MOIRA is ENTERING
Granted a second chance, Moira emerged from the gate back to her starting place. She cautiously looked around, trying to see if the ship wasn't still on a rampage. to her unspeakable relief, ti wasn't, however, there was another issue to be dealt with. Meissa, it would have seemed, had grown quite substantially since she'd last seen her.
Well, at least Moira knew how to get to her, right?
Moira made a beeline for the other senshi and, once there, tugged on her skirt to get her attention.
"Hey there, stranger," she called, smiling despite herself. "Looks like you've got yourself quite the advantage! How about we choose a bottle to go into and break some seals with those big ol' boots of yours?"
A lot was happening all at once. He really did enjoy the tiny little peacock, and Malaise was still laughing with sheer delight when it responded to him. "Of course! It must be a lot of trouble when you're so tiny; you'd be better off flying, " did peacocks fly? Did anything make any sense here? Who really cared, right?
Malaise kind of juggled his new little friend as he popped open another bottle, wondering if maybe in true Alice fashion it would have a little biscuit or something to make her normally sized again. There was another tiny bottle inside, and he was about ready to offer to feed it to her when a giant boat dropped clean out of the sky.
It didn't cause him much trouble, but - "Oh, " he'd lost his tiny bird in the mess, and it was actually a bit devastating. "No, little bird - !" he called to no avail, and felt his heart fracture a little.
Poor little thing. He should have taken care of her better when he had the chance.
- god if that wasn't his subconscious trying to tell him something -
He was about to roll his eyes at his cousin and maybe try and figure out where the ******** they should be going when abruptly, there was a big a** ******** boat bearing down on them from above. "Oh you gotta be ********' kiddin' me!" he snapped. Ironically, as his cousin made to shove him out of the way, he made the same move to try and shove her out of the way, and somewhere along the way he moved just the wrong way, and -
Ironically, of all the s**t in the world, it was a mother ******** ship that was finally the thing to take the salty senshi down.
A lot happened the second he entered this weirdly mystical bottle fueled void of lovely space. For one thing, in true Kainite style, it only stood to reason that his first action after half-shouting, "Bossman?" was to immediately make a grab for one of the bottles. Why? Because they were shiny and lovely and there, and call it an investigation. He was still half-convinced this was a negaverse operation, so what harm could it really do him?
Quote:
Rolled earlier: 14: There's a mysterious mist that covers you when you open this bottle. You suddenly can't stop laughing. You will not stop laughing unless someone hits you, or you enter a trial bottle.
He kind of sputtered when the mist engulfed him, and then somehow, apparently he thought it was hilarious because hey he couldn't stop laughing. It was the bone crunching, tear-inducing, howling kind of laughter that should have been saved for those classic hilarious moments on The Office (like Fire Safety), but nope, somehow mist and floating bottles were what did it now.
In fact, he was laughing so hard he literally rolled out of the way of the death boat, and then that was somehow so funny that he was pounding a fist on the 'floor', howling with laughter still. Because clearly near death experiences were a hoot!!
He caught the glance thrown his way and he shrugged, laughter still spilling out of his mouth. He thought about retorting but there wasn't time as there was a giant ship headed their way. Aventurine was amused, except when he realized that it was coming their way and--
General Zircon teleported them again and he felt his head swim from disorientation. "Don't--" He tried, watching as glass splintered and the woman collapsed.
"General?" He reached to touch her but the ship was so close and his response was to leap backward.
It passed by and when he looked after it, he couldn't find her body.
Well ******** mouth opened and he laughed in the wake of her demise. Stupid bottle.

Genbu
It was really only a matter of time when the s**t hit the actual fan, so when they were suddenly engulfed in a giant shadow and Seiryuu was rushing forward to try to shove her and her cousin both out of the way the senshi of the north acted with quick precision.
Her hands found Seiryuu's hips, and using the momentum already established by the silver haired girl's push she threw herself backwards and pulled Seiryuu with her, tumbling out of the way of dropping ship just in time to avoid being crushed by it's weight. It smashed as it hit, wood snapping, splinters flying, and Genbu folded herself over her friend to keep her safe from any flying debris.
As the dust was settling she lifted her head cautiously. She couldn't see Seiryuu's cousin, but she could barely see anything but dust and the haul of the fallen ship. "******** this s**t, we have to get out of here. "Eurydike! Where ever you are we're going for a bottle!" Grabbing the other girl's hand, she pushed to her feet, dragging Sei up with her and pulled the girl into a sprint towards the line of larger bottles, picking one at random.
Ella liked to think of herself as a cheerful nihilist, one who had made peace with life and death and all the terrible little inconveniences in between. However, even floating in peaceful repose and considering a nap, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of something at her heartstrings when the voice called above them, summoning a ship. Which like, death was fine, it happened to everybody, but getting crushed by a ship was like...a real deathy death, one you didn't talk about at the water cooler at work afterwards.
She didn't want to think about that, but facing down her mortality in a way she hadn't expected was a little...scary? It was weird, and uncomfortable.
But luck was on her side, and the sudden displacement of air pushed Ella out of the way, comfortably floating to safety with no harm done, except to her peace of mind.
Feeling vulnerable was lame. Since she'd been pushed closer to the trial bottles, she reached for the one that smelled like regular old not-getting-crushed-by-a-ship death, and then away she went.
If he'd thought things were going well with the bottle choices, he'd been lured into a false sense of security. Sure, he and Obscura had done well...but apparently this hellscape of a dimension liked to stack the deck so that even other's choices could have disastrous effects for them.
The selfsame disembodied voice from before rang out, the air-pressure changed. Tiberius' senses pinged with danger as he looked up at the keel of a giant goddamn ship that was gaining speed as it fell downward upon the crowd. Obscura called to him, a dark blur of fur and tinkling bells as she sped to save herself.
Tiberius followed, his long legs quickly overtaking the kitten; he dipped his head to catch Obscura by the scruff again, picking her up so that they could both take advantage of his longer limbs. Thickly furred legs churned across the strangely empty dimensional space as the Mauvian carried his charge in a sweeping arc out from under the ship and right towards the ornate bottle that smelled of grave-dirt. He was done standing around this place - they were leaving, one way or another. Can't be much worse than here...
He jumped at the bottle, getting them sucked in.
Tiberius' Inventory Health Potion - Restores 10 HP Attack Potion - 50 HP DMG
If she was cursed with this strange rabbit body, she wanted to at least be a comfort to people, as in, she wanted to be okay with being petted, but there was something about being face to face with a person's head the size of her and a hand the size of her face. She slid backwards, little nose flaring, before she got up the courage and slid her forehead under his palm, more like a cat than a rabbit, maybe.
Was she frightened? Yes. She could feel her heart pounding faster than ever against her small ribs. She pulled away and tried to nod, slowly and clearly, to maybe show that she was not a rabbit.
She thought of something else, to maybe trace a P with her paw on whatever they were standing on. She did not see the ship. Being half blind was much worse with these prey-set eyes that meant she couldn't even see what was in front of her. She heard the commotion of people panicking, and that was enough to send her off again, running in circles.
However, she did not get out of the way. For only a moment, she felt the heavy, crushing impact.
Then there was nothing.

[ Phoebe ]
She didn't know what was happening, and she wasn't going to stick around waiting for Chauvet to just show up again. There was no telling what the corrupt was doing with her, and just because she'd gone willingly didn't mean she was safe. If anything happened...
Phoebe cut the thought off before she could finish it and stalked towards the bottles. She couldn't remember which one the pair had disappeared into, but there was only four. By process of elimination she'd find her friend again!
And the frog? Well, he could follow if he wanted, but Pheebs wasn't waiting around anymore.
It was sheer dumb luck that he got there just in time to see Seiryuu and Genbu flicker off into one of the super special wonderful bottles, probably full of s**t that was ripe to kill them. If you really wanted to call it lucky considering real luck would've meant never dying in the first place and logically choosing a place to go into safely, as a group, but <******** whatever. At least he knew where they were, and Eurydike took off after them at a sprint of his own.
Until a rather unfortunate little bottle smacked him in the face along the way. The senshi of salt snarled, about a thousand percent done with this place already as he slapped the damn thing down. It clattered and smashed against the ground, and moments later, Eurydike was engulfed in a plume of smoke.
"Oh ********' WHAT NOW."
Quote:
10: There's a mysterious mist that covers you when you open this bottle. You're turned into an animal (of your choice)! If you're a Mauvian, you're turned into human! A straight up human. No cat ears or tail. This effect disappears if you enter a trial bottle!
The smoke dissipated, and Eurydike immediately realized he was a lot smaller than before, and a lot more... prickly, and - "WHAT THE ********, " the porcupine of salt howled as he tried to whirl and get a better look at himself with his one good eye. "ARE YOU ********' KIDDIN' ME I SWEAR TO ********' GOD -"
With a long string of profanity and indignant snarling, he shuffled along across the floor until he finally reached the bottle he needed to follow his cousin into who the ******** knew what BUT MAYBE HE'D HAVE THUMBS AGAIN AT LEAST WHO THE ******** KNOWS.
