“Some of them have, too?” Noah asked, surprised. “Those Stars you told me about aren’t exactly rare, are they?” He looked around at his family. “Or maybe we just got lucky,” he said.
“I bet you are,” Noah smiled at Teddy. “You two will be the best helpers. Do you know how to make pancakes? Dea likes to pretend she doesn’t want the ones with chocolate chips in them, but I always snuck them in anyway.”

"Yeah, some of the family have ones that turned humanish. I don't think I would call it rare, considering it seems to be getting around all these changes. I am still not entirely sure why, the reasons may vary,"Dea answered.
"Oh yes, I know how to make pancakes. It was one of the first things Mama and Grandma taught me. And I know how much she loves chocolate chips,"Teddy beamed.

"Ah, like ours," Noah noted. Not rare? That did explain how Dea had so many in her household. "I'm sure whoever's doing it must have a reason," he offered.
"Ooh, good. Then we'll be all set for breakfast. What about Christmas dinner? We'll have to plan that. I'm sure you know what everyone likes."

"Really?" Noah asked, intrigued. If Grayson was studying the phenomenon, it must have been more widely spread than he'd imagined. He'd have to ask if he could see some of his research. "I'd be interested in learning about it," he said. "Do you think he'd like to learn that Teamrocket has a way to handle the stars?" he asked.

Sunny wasn't exactly a common pokemon, being a legendary, so Noah couldn't blame Grayson if he was interested in looking him over. "That's fine, as long as Sunny's alright with it." He couldn't continue to treat Sunny like a pokemon, after all, now that he was a small boy. He had always valued his solgaleo's opinions but now they were verbal.
"Ah, I thought he might be," he said. "I didn't learn much, but I can share what I did learn."

"Will do," Noah agreed. He didn't want to dig up bad memories just before Christmas. Maybe Grayson would be gentle enough to do so without causing Sunny much trouble, but Noah didn't think he could. Anything helped? He didn't know what they already knew.
"Well..." He thought aloud, locking eyes with his wife. "We can discuss this later."

He didn't know how his information would be useful, but maybe she had a point. He didn't want to talk about it during this, though. This was supposed to be a happy time. "So! I thought we could go find ourselves a tree tomorrow." He looked hopefully towards Tristan and Timmy. He hadn't given up the hope that they would warm up to him.
Tristan looked away. Timmy looked awkward.
"It'll be the same tree for ages, since we're getting a faux one. We could get one we could plant outside and decorate for the wild pokemon. Popcorn and cranberries--that sort of thing."

"Oh yes, a tree is definitely needed. I think one for us and one to go outside would be the best. I know some of the Pokemon out there could use some good cheer,"she replied. She could see the way he looked at Timmy and Tris, knowing he was hoping to get close to them. However, she also knew it would take some time.

"I think so, too. We can plant it." Did pokemon celebrate holidays with their families? He knew pokemon, even wild ones, understood more than people would think. Maybe they could befriend the pokemon that lived near the cabin and make a tradition of going there every year?
But then, he didn't want the wild pokemon to become dependent on them for food during the winter months. That would lead to death...

"I think planting it would be a wonderful idea. That way they can bring them some shade all year round. We would just have to make sure to take down the decorations before we leave. Maybe just have something to mark it as the one we put there,"she mused.
